"WWE is such a strange company, especially for them being the so called "trendsetters" of professional wrestling. They seem to have many peaks and troths, and when they're on it, they are definitely on it, as seen during the Attitude Era, Ruthless Aggression Era and even the slight boom period when Triple H first took charge However, when they're not on the ball, they're nearly unbearable to watch, from bad wrestling to nonsensical storylines and the dreaded celebrity involvement. Remember, just because something is the most popular doesn't mean it will be the best."

I am not giving WWE a 0 because EVOLVE & NXT exists, which are actually competent wrestling shows that ACTUALLY TELL STORIES & DON'T TREAT THE VIEWERS LIKE IDIOTS ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Um, but more or less I am also very thankful I was an active wrestling fan in 2024, because my goodness, compared to now, WWE in 2024 is all I think about. The last great year of WWE with consistent weekly shows & PLE's & before the disastrous influences of the TKO board completely sucking the soul out of the fucking company. I seriously feel bad for anyone & everyone that was not actively watching WWE every week in 2024 because from 2025 to now, you seriously do not know how good WWE actually can be without the TKO bullshit. RUTHLESS DEPRESSION IS IN FULL FORCE LADIES & GENTLEMEN ! ! ! ! ! & also, FUCK PAT MCAFEE!"

"WWE is a great company, and has done a lot overall to make wrestling stand up as a true competitive sport. The real downside to WWE is that the balancing between Entertainment and Wrestling, is most of time really bad. I am still very much fine with giving WWE a positive review for everything they have done, despite all the controversies."

[6.0] "[6.3] WWE's 2026 so far has been a fall from grace. 2025 we saw the budding issues accompany the WWE and hoped for a bit of a resurrection from a weak year but as we get closer to WrestleMania and the weeks go on, the more and more the product suffers. TKO has hurt WWE in imaginable ways with their agenda of focusing on moments and celebrities. 4 months in and we've seen the product get worse month by month and I'm excepting this to be the case for the rest of the year. The casuals are moving away slowly and it's sad to see. RAW has been hit or miss mostly, NXT has been decent despite negative feedback from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter and SmackDown has been completely awful. Overall, WWE has been a downward trajectory and I don't see a recovery."

They are very good at telling stories through backstage segments and promos, and they completely obliterated competition putting an end to the territory system (wether it's a good or a bad thing I let you decide)"

[3.0] "The WWE cares more about entrances, sponsorships, endless promo's and ugly visuals than it does about actual wrestling. It's too bad because they have an absolutely stacked roster across the years. They also pick the most corporate soulless people to lead the company: HHHH, Hogan, Cena, Rhodes... People often say that they have less than stellar wrestling but the stories make it up for that. I don't agree. Just because you repeat the same stuff and show people what happened over and over doesn't mean good storytelling. Lazy and uninspired, risk-averse, boring."

[9.0] "WWE is the reason wrestling became mainstream, Without WWE, We wouldn't have this website and a giant community, WWE has so many legends, Sammartino in the 70s, Hogan, Savage and Piper in the 80s, Hart, Michaels, Rock and Austin in the 90s, Undertaker, Triple H and Batista in the 2000s, Cena, Orton and Bryan in the 2010s and now Reigns, Rollins and Rhodes now adays However, Modern WWE is not like the old WWF, Now all they care about is money, The ticket prices, Sponsorships on the sacred ring, The multiple subscriptions just to watch, It sucks, TKO has somewhat ruined the WWE, I will still rate it a 10 because this is the reason we are where we are EDIT (April 6th, 2026): It's really gotten worse, It's awful now, I am gonna have to knock it down by 1. It's like everyone's brains shutdown before writing the road to Wrestlemania."

Vince McMahon may only be facing consequences for his abusive behaviour now, but you'd have to be deaf dumb and blind to not hear the stories that have been told about him and his ilk for decades as 'good ol boy' stories that are really just more and more stories of a rich insulated creep who could treat anyone how he wanted. The one point WWE gets from me is taht Vince no longer works there, but that's about it in the positive column for me."

"Just another terrible SmackDown episode, like I'm used to it at this point. It almost feels intentional. Like they hold back on doing anything great weekly so that the big moments hit harder, but right now it just makes the shows feel flat. I think Pat has potential as a heel, but inserting him into this storyline just hurt him more than anything. Heel Randy Orton doesn't need help, and if he did, it should be someone with real presence or authority, not this. And then there's Sami and Carmelo. They're clearly using Carmelo as a stepping stone to turn Sami heel, and in the process, they're killing all of Carmelo's momentum. It's frustrating to see someone with so much potential being used like that just to serve another storyline. At this point, I'll probably just stick to YouTube highlights, until even that stops being worth it."

[6.0] "Theres a reason why this company is still alive, and thats because Vince McMahon broke the gentlemen's agreement, and monopolized pro wrestling in the US. To be completely honest, I enjoyed the WWE product for a while, and that's because I was 9, and thought that WWE was the only pro-wrestling show out there, which goes to show how much WWE have monopolized the pro wrestling market. To be even more honest, the WWE product can sometimes be really good, but in hindsight, the few good things were having a show that essentially was indie-wrestling, but easily accessable, and turning 1 (one) wrestler heel, and running with it for 4 fucking years. Theres a reason why AEW ratings are going up, and thats because Cody "Hogan" Rhodes won't stop holding on to a championship that he didn't deserve. If you were to ask me to rate just NXT, I'd give it way higher than WWE."

Bringing in celebrities to try and build hype is not making it any better, and it takes away from actual hardworking talent. Storylines feel repetitive and drag on too long, which kills my interest to keep watching. I used to enjoy watching this company, but that is not the case anymore."

[0.0] "[Triple H adjusts his tie, sits down at a desk in front of a monitor showing WWE Raw. He holds up a laminated printout of the TV schedule.] "Paul here. You may have heard about it. Here it is. WWE Raw." [He taps the printout gently.] "I love this product. It is so good. This is something we have already tested -- in developmental, in NXT, and in the United Kingdom. We've tested it on the British and the developmental talent, and now we believe it may even be fit for human consumption." [He sets the printout down and turns to face the screen. A six-man tag match is happening. He stares at it with the energy of a man who has never watched professional wrestling before.] "Holy cow. God, that is a big match. We've got... sort of the athleticism and the grappling. The storytelling is in there. And of course... we've got the finishes. I'm going to watch the rest of this for my Monday evening, just so you know." [He leans forward, picks up the remote, and takes a very small, hesitant click of the volume button. He holds the remote up to the camera to prove it happened.] "That is a big click for a big show. It's distinctively WWE. Only WWE could do this type of product. But it is also unlike anything else on our schedule." [He gently sets the remote down and smiles at the camera.] "It's sort of got promos and emotion. There's so much going on with this." [Long pause.] "I'm going to enjoy the rest of my Monday, but -- WWE Raw -- watch it when you can. On Netflix." [He nods once, professionally, as if he has just concluded a board presentation. The match continues behind him. A steel chair is introduced. He does not react.]"
[0.0] "WWE started off it's 2026 in a pretty decent way actually. We had a couple of good Raw's, great smackdowns, and a fantastic SNME to top it all off. I don't know what the hell happened but they're currently just as bad as it was in 2025 since the royal rumble happened. Raw has been drizzling shits. The only interesting things on it are CM Punk, Finn Balor, and Je'von Evans. They haven't had Liv decide who she's facing at WrestleMania because even they know they're incapable of putting on a near 3 month build whether it's Liv or Jade. Oh and apparently Stephanie can't speak English so Dominik has to translate everything to her because he totally doesn't hold the ic title or the AAA Mega title. It's bizzare because I've seen Vaquer cut a promo in English and for someone who only moved to the states in late 2024 she's pretty damn good at it. Rhea and Iyo are doing very well with the tag titles and it's one of the few bright spots in the company now, but even they aren't on raw as all their defenses happen on smackdown. When it comes to Becky and the women's ic title it's nothing new. She hasn't done a thing since SummerSlam and the AJ Lee feud has been terrible as I predicted. The iron was hot in September and they should've done the match in October or at war games. Oh, and they're still experimenting with Maxxine only now it's an unwatchable feud with Natalya who hasn't been relevant since 2017. It's unfrotunate because talented wrestlers like Bayley and Lyra are being sacrificed for it. Asuka and Kairi had a very good angle at the rumble and they just haven't followed it up at all. The tag division is non existent which pisses me off because Aj styles spent the final few months of his career rebuilding it. Dragon Lee getting a high profile feud with Gunther is good however. When it comes to smackdown things are a BIT better. Carmelo Hayes has been amazing as champion and has naturally gotten over. Trick has gotten mega over super quickly and it's great to see. Jade Cargill has been having a terrible reign. She defended against jordynne which was her first defence after 104 days. It wasn't even that special and I doubt she's defending it again til WrestleMania. Drew is champion but he still gets booked like a clown which is hard to blame. Cody and Randy would have been a far better program for WrestleMania and if they just gave Drew the title at wrestlepalooza and let him roam around with it for a couple of months they wouldn't have had to worry about giving him a "here damn" reign during WrestleMania season. The tag titles are non existent but that's been the case for months so nothing new. Kit Wilson does pretty entertaining stuff too. The only other good thing is Oba Femi because he should get pushed to the moon this year. Oh, and I didn't even bring up how bad the vision currently is because Seth and Bron's absence has exposed them to a whole new level. Nobody in that group is entertaining and the masked man stuff is about as repetitive as the amount of Raw's they've main evented since WrestleMania 41. Elimination chamber needs to be at least an 8 or a 9 or else WrestleMania is gonna be just as bad as last year. I haven't lost all hope yet but it's not looking good at all right now. Triple H did a fantastic job from the moment he took over up until the fall of 2024. The shows began to get underwhelming, but since the Royal Rumble it's been a butterfly effect of terrible and terrible desicons. Something needs to change, new writers need to be hired. Bruce Prichard, Michael Hayes, Road Dogg, and Ed Koskey are all bad and incredibly out of touch. Younger and more female writters need to be hired. If it still doesn't improve after that it may be time to question Triple H's job at head of creative. He's clearly nowhere as near in the weeds as he used to be and it's not like many of the top writers have any good ideas either. The Bloodline story is done, Cena's retirement tour is done, all these things should clearly indicate that new talent should be getting pushed but I'm not seeing that. They've done a good job with the recent call ups but I'll only praise it once I see what their WrestleMania direction is. Monday Night Raw doesn't even feel like a wrestling show. 2 1/2 hours with only 4 matches on an average basis is hilarious, especially when some of the matches aren't even getting 5 minutes. I feel like I'm seeing the same episode on repeat. They took a step in the right direction in their first show after elimination chamber, now keep doing the same thing and you'll have a good show. It doesn't seem to be happening at all. The fact that Iyo sky and Gunther don't have a proper direction is abysmal. Being the best performer in the company and you're likely facing "Raquel Rodriguez" who's been a failed experiment for almost 6 years now? Make it make sense. It's only getting worse."

I was so disappointed with them during covid when they practically discarded a large amount of the roster just to save money, some of who had been with them for 10+ years. Then with Vince gone, you would think it would get better, but it has gotten worse. They completely screwed everyone over in Europe, by turning the WWE network off and moving the content to Netflix, where you only have access to around 20% of the content that we had before. Let's talk about the content these days, on Raw we only get 4 matches in 2 hours each week, but they're happy for Jey Uso to spend 20 mins walking to the ring and dance like an idiot. Smackdown is just a snooze fest. Then there's the PLE's, 3 hours for 4 to 5 matches is a joke, it wouldn't be so bad if the matches were good, but they are often dog shit. I feel sorry for the fans in the USA who have to pay around $1, 000 a year to watch this shit."

Entrance themes are the most generic they've ever been making no wrestler outside of the top handful of guys feel like they're worth following. Matches are far and few in between weekly shows and even more so when it comes to main event guys and when matches do happen, they are yawn inducing overscripted throwaways, wrestlers are reduced to catchphrases and have little to no character development, ads in and out of the ring are overwhelming and meme worthy, constant pointless "celebrity" appearances and matches, constant long winded backstage segments, constant "legends" returning that should've stayed away, horrible promos and acting with long "feuds" for the sake of "long term storytelling" involving said "legends", and to top it all of, the thing you hear all the time, cringe worthy commentary that makes you want to never watch another WWE show again. Save your time and go watch a real sports entertainment company called Actwres girl'Z. Superhuman Asako Army > WWE"

"WWE is currently in one of its strongest and most consistent phases in years, earning a realistic rating of 8.2 out of 10. Since the shift in creative direction, the company has improved significantly in long-term storytelling, with narratives that actually develop over time instead of being dropped randomly. However, it still struggles with consistency across the entire card, as some storylines lose momentum and the midcard can feel underdeveloped. When it comes to promos and character work, WWE remains one of the best in the world. Top stars are presented extremely well and feel like true main eventers, but not every talent is given material that allows them to shine naturally, which can make some performances feel scripted or restricted. In-ring quality has also improved a lot, with a stronger focus on storytelling and physicality, especially during premium live events, although weekly matches can still be predictable and less impactful compared to other companies that emphasize pure wrestling. Production value is where WWE clearly stands above everyone else, delivering a polished, almost cinematic presentation that enhances the overall experience, even if it can sometimes feel overly produced. Perhaps its greatest strength is star creation, as WWE still understands how to build and present major names better than anyone, even if it occasionally takes too long to fully commit to certain talents. Overall, WWE is no longer at its lowest point, but it is not flawless either; it is a dominant company that has regained stability and direction, yet still has room to grow before reaching true perfection."

The product was bad through different eras but has somehow hit an unmistakable nadir in recent times. The create team writing the show is completely incompetent, they almost NEVER have any good ideas anymore for storylines and feuds and long term booking. The roster is run by well liked geriatrics along with a handful of legitimate rising stars who I honestly wish would join another promotion instead. They are completely corporate oriented, with sponsorships everywhere and outrageous ticket prices, matches are booked to be predictable with bad outcomes (it often feels like they intentionally make the least liked wrestler(s) win for some reason), and they have a tendency to have matches end with completely unnecessary interferences. They just lost Cena and Styles so their pool of top talent is declining as their well liked geriatrics leave the company. NXT is good. That's it."

If the promotion would provide a sufficient amount of matches to their weekly and even PPV events, the score would be higher, but because of the lack of entertaining the fanbase, attempting every avenue to get any dollar they can at the most limited effort possible and then to insult the fanbase to make claims as to why a certain limited amount of matches are perfect for 3-4 hours shows at the cost they are charging, and that anything that is not WWE involved is garbage or irrelevant to the wrestling landscape is just disgusting. The fact the we only get 3-4 matches for a 3 hour televised event and 4 matches for a 4 hour PPV and even those are mediocre at the very best would rank the promotion to a 5, maybe 6. But then to cram all the ads, sponsorships and attempts to black out fans that cannot afford to attend an event plus the 50% increase to shows from the previous years is what drops this grade further down. The value that WWE may display for shareholders pats them on the shoulder for a job well done, but the value that they are giving to us as an audience would be D-listed in the market if it was based off of value to the consumers."

[10.0] "I have absolutely no idea where to start. Maybe let's begin with the fact that even if WWE goes through some kind of crisis, bad ideas, or a multitude of controversies, it still has to be clearly stated that it is undeniably the greatest wrestling promotion in history. From its earliest years, when the company was founded, it already meant something on the map, but let's be honest--the 80s and 90s, the WWF era and the Golden Era, were an absolute revolution. Memorable rivalries, spots, moments, and some of the most talented wrestlers. It was thanks to the WWF era that wrestling entered the mainstream. I'm not a big fan of Vince McMahon, but paradoxically, if it weren't for him, wrestling would look very different today. He had a vision and many great ideas that shaped modern wrestling. Many pioneers of that era, such as Bob Backlund, Dusty Rhodes, Ivan Putski, and Pedro Morales, are still remembered today. The Golden Era was the final stamp in establishing its market position, including the creation of WrestleMania, the biggest and most anticipated event of the year. Larger-than-life characters straight out of comic books like Andre the Giant, The Ultimate Warrior, Mr. Perfect, Ted DiBiase, Randy Savage, and of course Hulkamania. It's true that the wrestlers I mentioned didn't have the best in-ring skills by today's standards, but don't forget how different those times were. Whenever I go back to those years, I always have a smile on my face. I won't go into too much detail about the New Generation era, but it had memorable moments and one of the best rivalries ever--Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels. Attitude Era - Something incredible. Complete domination over WCW, a completely different style, presentation, matches, and storylines. The conflict and matches between Steve Austin and The Rock are deeply etched in history. So much happened during this era that going into more detail would be unnecessary. It was one of the federation's best periods. Ruthless Aggression is very close to my heart and, according to many people, it was one of the best eras. The atmosphere changed again, there were once again unforgettable moments, and many wrestlers were at the peak of their careers. I think I love this era the most because there was complete chaos. PG Era - Damn, for me this was the best era for WWE. I was born in 2004 and only discovered wrestling in 2009. There were many mistakes during this era, such as the early handling of NXT and the way women's storylines were booked. However, whenever I hear "PG Era, " I immediately think of John Cena probably in his best form, Edge's return at the Royal Rumble, Nexus, the new NXT once they started taking it seriously, The Rock vs. John Cena, The Wyatt Family, The Shield, and of course the Pipe Bomb and CM Punk's complete dominance. When CM Punk was at the top of the company between 2011 and 2013, he was the main reason I turned on WWE, and his character never bored me. Now, when I look back at how well his character was written, I truly can't help but be impressed. Let me remind you that he defended his championship around 140 times--absolutely insane! Reality Era - A short era, but probably the most important one for the women's division. I feel that during this time WWE finally started taking women seriously, showing that women's wrestling can sometimes be even better than men's. New Era - The current era is absolutely good. Of course, WWE made a lot of mistakes during this period that cost them dearly, but I don't think this era was that bad. Many people hate Triple H for how WWE looks today, but in a way, I'll defend him here because I think a lot of people have simply lost the joy of watching WWE, and when I observe the criticism from various communities, I can't agree with many of their points. Sometimes I feel like no matter what Triple H does, it will still be considered wrong. Of course, he's not perfect and can make very bad decisions, but I think many people exaggerate. That's just my opinion. Without a doubt, the greatest wrestling promotion ever!"

The phase WWE is currently in is a tough one to critique. The Triple H era of WWE was fantasied for years and expected to be amazing giving the quality of Black & Gold NXT, but we've seen that the honeymoon phase is over and it's not exactly what we've expected. WWE still has it's moments and I do still believe it's the No.1 promotion in the world but in such a competitive world of wrestling that is this modern landscape, WWE needs to pick themselves up and start putting on a product that is top quality week to week and make sure PPV/PLE events mean something and are important again."

And have been relatively uncontested in this position for the past 25 years. The company was originally founded by "Jess" McMahon, who then passed it on to Vincent J. McMahon, also known as Vince McMahon Sr. Under his tenure as head of the company, he would rebrand what was at the time the CWC (The Capitol Wrestling Corporation) into the WWWF (World Wide Wrestling Federation). Eventually, as time went on, Vince McMahon Sr.'s son, Vince McMahon Jr. would buy the company off of his father and his associates, like Gorilla Monsoon, and, while far more complicated than the clean narrative I present here, eventually rebrands the company to the World Wrestling Federation, otherwise known as the WWF. And soon after Vince McMahon acquired the company from his father and, against his father's own wishes, sought to compete against all of the other wrestling companies across North America, seeking to end what was known as "The Territories" a series of around 30 or so wrestling companies which ushered in a relative golden age for wrestling across the continent and consolidate all of their lands and their best professional wrestlers under his direct control. And in doing so, intentionally extinguished the livelihood's of countless families within the industry that served as previously as promoters. They're a corporate entity now who pays "reporters" to shill and grift for their product, have historically terrible management, push the wrong people, have insane amounts of nepotism, are out-of-touch with the fans, and the President Nick Khan has gone on record to say that a mediocre product is better than a good product because it still makes money. Ticket prices for regular TV events are high, families can't afford to go to RAW, or a low tier supercard without selling little Timmy's kidneys. The brand split hasn't had effort put into it, there are a lot of older people on the product because they can't build a star that isn't a former WWE wrestler's son or daughter, lots of problems. Truthfully the WWE has always been the product that catered to the most casual fan, the median wrestling fan who doesn't want something that pushes the boundaries too far and doesn't ask them to think too much, and that's not always such a bad thing. I enjoy the occasional Marvel movie or Taco Bell meal. Not everything has to be challenging or of the finest quality. But there's such a thing as a GREAT or even good superhero flick, or a solid fast food dinner. WWE in 2026 is something more akin to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, or a floppy, cold quesadilla served up with nothing but haste and without a thought spared on quality. Or maybe rock hard fries found in between the couch cushions is a more apt metaphor, because like them the WWE has gotten painfully stale. The product in 2026 is more focused on how it can cram as many advertisements for Dude Wipes, Slim Jims and Cinnamon Toast Crunch into your eyeballs as it can, than creating the best wrestling show possible. The average weekly episode of WWE programming is 3 hours of your time for 25-30 minutes of actual wrestling. How are young talent supposed to get their reps, improve, get over and move up the card when there is barely any time spent on in bell to bell product? Well, apparently they aren't. Unless they have a Hulk physique like Oba Femi and they are hand picked for a massive push. Otherwise you are out of luck. That has lead to boring main event scene full of part timers, washed up has beens and acts that are ice cold. I'm speaking of course of Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Cody, the names that dominate the WWE in both screen time and advertisement spotlight. Oh, and you can't forget about Brock Lesnar! Yes that guy who WWE should have ran screaming away from but instead see no issue pushing as a star, despite even most die hard WWE fans being finally sick of. Outside of the main event, it doesn't get much better. The WWE's tag division is a joke, nearly a decade it feels pushing nothing but The New Day and The Usos has left the tag belts feeling pointless. The undercard has some talent, doing their best to get over and put on great matches. But overall that's not enough to save a bloated, soulless and corporate product that is high on presentation virtually nil on substance. The weekly TV might be bad, but what about the PPVs? Oh excuse me, the "PLEs"? Well let's take a look at this years Super Bowl of American Wrestling, Wrestlemania. It's coming to us from the same town as last years, with largely the same cast of characters at the top of the card as last year. If that doesn't capture the lazy, unimaginative and safe booking of WWE in 2026, nothing will. And this problem will only get worse because the deeply unethical Albatross around the WWE's neck that is the Saudi Arabia deal is about to swallow up WWE's most beloved and important brand in Wrestlemania in it's dark cloud. Surely that Wrestlemania will be swarming with washed up stars from yesteryear like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Goldberg, Chris Jericho, The Hardy Boyz, and many more! All locked in a high stakes battle of who will break a hip first. If you thought the talented youth movement in the company had it hard finding time on television now, try when WWE is building to that monstrosity of an event. I struggle to find any redeeming quality for WWE in the modern era. As I mentioned, there is talent in the company. The women are typically very good, doing the most with what they are given. WWE occasionally accidentally has a good match from time to time, when their small army of agents, writers and micromanagers actually lets the wrestlers do the thing they are best at. But on the whole, the WWE today is much more bad than good. It cranks out a steady diet of bland, unimaginative, and disposable content week to week that will be forgotten by it's fans almost as quickly as it ends, and the big events they are supposed to build to are rushed, lazy and filled with too much fluff and product placement to have any room for a soul or spark of creative passion. Avoid WWE like the plague, their content isn't worth your time and the company doesn't deserve your hard earned dollar."

For casual or non fans it has become a brand like Kleenex or Chap Stick. They refer to all of wrestling as WWE. The current state of the product is better than it has been in a while but let's not pretend there's none of the shortcomings that existed when Vince was there. There's still a tendency to push dog shit wrestlers and keep pushing ones the fans don't want. The PLEs are marathons with more filler than wrestling and yet fans will gaslight you into thinking it's great. WWE in the last 9 years has all but killed my passion for wrestling. But a lot of the weak undercards can be contributed to booking, matches that look great on paper go for less than a minute or have a screwy finish. Until recent years I can at least give them credit for execution. Even if the booking ideas are bad, and they often are, the talent and production execute them to the best of anyone's ability. At the time of this review they produce a minimum of 5 hours of tv a week, and I just can't make that kind of time investment in something that fails more than it succeeds, especially in the age of streaming it has never been easier to just go back and watch the stuff their fans recommend instead of suffering through endless hours of mediocrity. But that's what happens when you're on top, even back in the WWWF days, you can just coast with a boring, heatless product because of the population density, and they can do it today because they've been the biggest name in the industry for 40 years."

A bad idea or 2 is nothing, but when your main event scene is practically dead outside of a handful of women, you know you've fucked up. They've also given us some of the best bits of sports entertainment in their prime. But the controversies can't be ignored. Just like who I compared them to, they not only make hella head-scratching decisions, but also the sketchiest stuff most of the time, like the treatment of Owen Hart's death, the Saudi partnership, crazy prices in the TKO era, you name it. Nowadays, it feels like things are on autopilot, even when it comes to big deals like their ESPN debut, where nothing really major happens on shows nowadays, even with the odd good show here and there. HHH keeps going on about all these surprises every darn PLE but we don't get all that much. EDIT TO SUM UP 2025: This was my first proper year of watching WWE, and it was a lil' unremarkable minus some nuggets of gold. Promising storylines were scrapped either due to creative either playing it safe or pulling the plug, or injuries screwing things up. Most returns and signing barely did anything of note, AJ Lee's only been around for 2 matches involving Becky, Rusev's in limbo, Black's in an endless Priest feud, and the Lucha Bros have had their ups and downs. Cena's big farewell tour was meant to be the big thing this year but it ended up being bleh all around, and a lack of dates didn't help. SmackDown was also pretty bleak most of the time. Lastly, people complain that WWE just books for moments nowadays but the moments we've gotten haven't even been that noteworthy. Obviously I wasn't around for the late 2010s where it was also hella bad so I can't go ahead and call this the worst year, but hopefully things pick up in 2026."

As a fan in their twenties I've consistently watched WWE every week for over 12 years now atp and I can easily say this is the worst year for me watching WWE. This is the first year I've ever stopped watching the product it's been that bad. Before I air out my complaints I want to talk about the online buzz surrounding how this year still isn't worse than years like 2011 or 2019. It is. It's worse. At least for those years there were some ( I know not a lot) incredible matches, feuds and characters. Why I think 2025 is the worst year is not only how boring, repetitive, and overall shit the product is, but what they also failed to do within the year. With 2011, we had punk v Cena, Christian Randy, taker HHH, in 2019 we had kofimania, the fiend, Seth v Brock and first women's wrestlemania main event. Now 2025.... My god. From the offset of Netflix my hopes were high after an outstanding 2023 and ultimately very good and successful 2024 as WWE were on the rise and at their possible peak in popularity. Netflix debut was ok for me, boring tribal combat, finisher fest of punk v Seth (which I hate and is seen a lot in 2025 unfortunately). Then we get to rumble and the start of Cenas final run. I thought rumble was great and with hindsight obviously jey wasn't the best choice but at the time it was fun. Then chamber. Ooooo the chamber. I don't think I can describe my reaction to cenas heel turn in any ways but depressed. I knew from the moment his face dropped that ts was gna be assssssss, and it was. Why have Cena, in his last year where people wanna see him at his best and his most CENA, have him turn heel. The time had came and went for that, it's was one of them wwe what ifs like a Bret v angle or Hbk v Eddie what if. And it should have been left that way. This heel turn and run was the start of the downfall, not to cenas fault. Mania. Oooooo mania. That shit was so ass I fucking hated that shi. Seth punk Roman was great they picked the right winner then bottled Seth after it. I think imma just start ranting now. Roman reruns too much to the point idgaf about him just fuck off. Jey boring ah hell and a botch machine but they kept the gas on him cause creative was too scared to go with ANYONE else. Gunthers booking has been almost as bad as cenas , and started when that bitch ass bum Sami beat him at 40. Don't get me started on that fucker Sami. Gunther treatment under H has been awful and I hate him for it. Gunther used to have match of the year with everyone, then went to feuding with a commentator and carrying old ah Phil in a main event. Speaking of commentators, Wade and Joe, well done cause the shit I had to hear from Cole and Pat this year my god. Cole what happened, u were goated for a while now ur annoying asf and Pat fuck off forvever please. That segment after Gunther attacked Pat my god I wanted to attack michale myself. "If we can't do our job and share our opinions" bitch stfu old ah no1 is there to see a commentator bri. Punk Saudi my god. Forgiving a blood money'd war involved pit of a country that feeds off the deaths of innocent people just for a pay check. Yet punk wants to apoligise to Muhammad, ye fairs. Fucking dick fuck u Phil where did CM Punk go.Since this guy came back I was hyped until Netflix debut. Matches with Seth were getting repetitive and shit but his quality of in ring really started to drop this year and his opportunities and spots felt handed due to his name. Match with Gunther was horrid and was handed the title in a horrible ending. Thank god Seth cashed in (Which everyone knew was gna happen btw so it's not a fucking rouse). Logan Paul. Logan Paul is on Hhh terrorist levels. This man got 6 MATCHES with John Cena. SIXXXXX. Fuck off. Overrated fucker my god this guy is clueless to anything that instead a rehearsed spot. U don't have heel heat u have go away heat because everyone hates u cause ur a horrible person. Brock coming back, what else I gotta say. Desperation move that is just embarrassing to watch. HHH booking has been atrocious and it's more annoying that he obviously knows and refuses to do anything about it because his ego is bigger than his nose. Cena booking for final run. I just don't get it. U knew this man was retiring. How do u fuck it up like what. Biggest fumble ever in the WWE and even with the small glimpses of hope and excitement u still give moments to Logan Paul instead of people like Miz, Melo, Oba, or anyone. Give Drew a championship please it's getting annoying now. Randy constantly fucking off just put him in a stable feud longer than A month. Saudi rumble and mania. It's not like they don't know Saudi is involved in a civil war fucking a side for money and power. They choose to ignore these things but it kinda annoys me more that more wrestlers don't refuse to go to Saudi or say something about it. That's just Americans I guess. On my last notes even thought there's sm more to say on this year. Fuck 2025 HHH booking, fuck CM saudi Phil, fuck Logan Paul, fuck gunthers lazy booking, fuck Sami zayn in general, fuck Saudi, fuck cena bottle run and please don't fuck up AJ Styles final year cause that will be my final straw."

[3.0] "The fixation on everything being squeaky clean, LED covered, easily marketable and micromanaged to death has made modern WWE feel like nothing unexpected or shocking ever really happens, which if you can recall is what made the company must watch television and a cultural cornerstone from 97 to 04. It's identity completely died and was reborn with the most corporatized stale image that you can imagine and that decision is reflected heavily in the mind-numbing angles, Marvel superhero characters, meaningless matches, no creative freedom, copy pasted sets and literally nauseating visual and audio production. These issues make sitting through a three hour RAW a complete drag for anyone but the indoctrinated. It's not about the product being kid friendly or it not having enough tits and blood, it's simply near impossible to take WWE seriously when they overstimulate the viewer with just about everything but good professional wrestling. There's a reason they haven't made any of their modern talents house hold names or brought wrestling back into the mainstream despite more money being involved than ever. This little rant was originally written during the last few Vince years but still applies to this day, with many aspects getting even worse since TKO took ownership. Charging families these ridiculous ticket prices to watch a few hours of garbage wrestling and a shitload of advertisements should be a crime, especially in today's economy where many are struggling to put groceries on the table. I'm going to call it here, WWE is on a corporate greed influenced death spiral that will alienate large segments of fans and eventually put the entire business in jeopardy when the coffers of both middle eastern dictators and western dictators find a new toy to invest in. As terrible of a person Vince is he managed to keep WWE uniquely his brand of crazy (even after going public) but now the company sees itself becoming a monster of a differing disease, not one of ego and mania but one of pure American capitalistic nihilism."

He managed to turn every dull storyline into something watchable and transform every mediocre narrative into something truly captivating. He brought WWE a moment of brilliant, standout glory. But after WrestleMania 2024, storylines began to feel bland again, and the company fell back into a cycle of creative stagnation. The truth is, WWE today leans heavily on stacking high-profile moments to generate hype and attract fans--like bringing back The Rock at Survivor Series 2024, turning John Cena heel at Royal Rumble 2025, and reintroducing stars like AJ Lee and Brock Lesnar. But then what? Yes, those moments are flashy. But then what? How do those major storylines conclude? What do those returning stars actually do afterward? After Cody Rhodes and Gunther won their championships, did they get any memorable follow-up storylines? We see nothing. Triple H feels like a weak writer--someone who crafts an intriguing opening but fails to deliver a meaningful middle or end. We need to face the reality: many of WWE's top stars are older or established earlier in their careers. The time they have left in the ring--and the time they have left with us as an audience--feels increasingly limited. Once this generation of legendary stars moves on, will WWE still be able to hold my interest? I honestly don't know."

As a wrestling promotion, obviously the WWE is the pinnacle of sports entertainment. There isn't even a debate on that, and anyone who denies that is just kidding themselves. It has been THE mainstream wrestling promotion for countless years. WWE brought us countless all time greats like Stone Cold, the Rock, John Cena, HBK, Bret Hart, the Undertaker, HHH, Kurt Angle, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Chris Jericho, Batista, Randy Orton, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage. Andre the Giant, Edge, Eddie Guerrero, the Hardys, Rey Mysterio. Ricky Steamboat, Ric Flair, AJ Styles. I mean the list just goes on. But ... let's be honest. Those days are long behind us. I guess I'll sound like a nihilist, but the unfortunate truth is that professional wrestling just isn't cool anymore, and it just seems like it's incapable of producing stars in the way that it did before. I mean, after John Cena transitioned away from a mainstream role (and now retired), who's supposed to replace him? Roman Reigns? Cody Rhodes? Seth Rollins? I'm sorry man, it sucks to say, but the modern stars of WWE just can't hold a fraction of a candle to the hype previous stars used to have. And star power is really what defined WWE, to be honest. So, without that kind of hype and aura that came before, the promotion kind of just sucks now. Not even saying AEW is better or anything, on the contrary I think that AEW is even worse! It's just that, in general, wrestling just isn't cool anymore and I horrendously doubt it ever will be again."

I'm not a Aew d sucker, and mainly this rating is just for current Wwe, and looking back at 8 year old me loving the shit outta this, he'd be shocked that 13 year old me is now rating this company a 2 stars. Whenever they get a 10/10 wrestler or a bit of momentum they manage to fuck it up I do really like nxt ples tho they always cook. And 90s Wwe had a lot of good matches but I just think Wwe is a fucking joke"

"I've been back in the fold since Wrestlemania 40. I only watch RAW and sometimes Smackdown - I don't have time to catch up with NXT and ist seems to be mostly jobbers and fake wrestlers played by washout college athletes anyway. One thing I cannot believe about the current state of WWE (and the business, really - AEW also hugely has this problem) until I saw it plainly spelled out above - there are 23 fucking belts! What the fuck? If any of you see Triple H out in the wild, ask him if he can name all 23 of his champions. So that's one huge issue - all these fake belts really damage the legacy and importance of the real ones. The other issue is: the writing is just bad. The booking is just bad. You have the widest range of talent maybe ever, the most amount of televised content - and we're just wasting most of it pushing guys that should have stepped down to the midcard years ago. You've also got a good handful of guys/gals that you could have ran with on the main card already, but there's too many egos/hangers-on playing the old politics, and clinging to those top spots. So that about sums it up: too many old guys, too many young guys that don't give a shit about the business, and the few that do are not being used to their full potential. Oh, and 23 belts that really stopped meaning anything at around belt #10. The sad truth is that none of the above really matters to WWE. They are a cash cow riding one long nostalgia wave into a grossly inflated sale to the Saudis. Going back and watching WM19 the other day, even with its blind spots at the time w/r/t women's/cruiserweight wrestling, the difference in quality of wrestling and mic work is literally night and day. WWE today gives us shows that are one long scripted and contrived segment/match after another - even at the top levels, where they at least are still booking real wrestlers. Perhaps there is some freak chance that whomever is in charge after the Saudi purchase will give us a better product to watch. My hopes are not high, though."

Their new approach with bookings and storylines, in terms of quality, has been very inconsistent and it feels like the current product is a big walking advertisement. I still tune in if something seems interesting, but that doesn't happen a lot these days."

I'm tired of all the biggest matches selling point being nostalgia. Right now WWE's current state is "bring back a talent from 10 years ago, get a big pop and views online, put on mid match" After Wrestlemania 40 It seemed like WWE was on the path of something like what happened with the attitude era. But then everything just kept falling short. Every main event has become filled with 40+ year old guys who are on their way out and should be elevating the younger talent. The wrestlers seem to be held back too much as well. The company is worried about too many injuries I understand, but that's why the matches are so boring. It's like when dudes get to WWE they think "okay well I've made it to the big leagues, don't got to show off as much anymore in hopes of getting signed since I'm already here" and always dumb down their move set. i.e. PENTA and REY FENIX. As an adult it seriously has gotten tough to sit through an entire WWE show. I understand it's just not for me anymore and that's okay, I will still appreciate the promotion for everything it's done and the amazing childhood it gave me"

Soulless, lifeless and completely devoid of what makes wrestling even good. Its only saving grace these days being a very packed womens scene but even then in big 2025 they are rarely booked with the same time and respect as the men. The men, worth mentioning and its main event scene in particular has never felt more stagnant, packed with guys pushing 50 that have had the same rotation of 3 star matches on loop for years. None of this is to mention the farcical retirement run for Cena, a wrestler i don't even like yet still feel bad for, the parade of celebrities on every major show like a virgin trying to show off that they pulled, the bombardment of adverts and the gradually shift to right wing pandering. Brock Lesnar still being a TV character is fucking absurd. This company is dead, buried and i just have to accept that."
