[10.0] "I really wish the trios and tag title match didn't happen because if not for those matches this would genuinely the greatest show I've ever watched. Top to bottom awesome matches. A legendary main even between 2 of the very best that I'll never forget. This is what brought back AEW to its greatness."
[9.0] "[9/10] Lots of tremendous action and great in-ring action in this year's Double or Nothing event. The show started with a fantastic match between Mercedes and Jamie Hayter in the Women's Owen Hart Foundation final. The outcome was never in question in my opinion, but they did a great job of selling the idea of Jamie not being the underdog and being in with a serious chance of picking up the win. They sold her story of being a past champion, her history with Toni Storm and how injury robbed her of that championship, which made it more believable that she could be the one to face Toni at All In. Predictable booking and outcomes is an issue that unfortunately plagued Double or Nothing, for the most part (more on that later). That isn't to say it wasn't entertaining though. There wasn't a single bad match, but you could tell who was winning most matches. Obviously Okada isn't dropping the Continental title, FTR were obviously going to win, Toni isn't losing the belt and so on. Unfortunately it's just one of those things when it's fairly obvious what match ups they are forming for All In in 6 or 7 weeks time. Another issue is the tag team division is just kind of dead. The Hurt Syndicate are great, but them facing Dustin and Guevara just isn't particularly exciting. The match was fine and elevated by the shenanigans involving MJF. Moving on, Anarchy in the Arena was absolute chaos and ridiculous fun. I personally feel the build up to it was bleh and I am a bit bored of how it has become an annual tradition that they have to shoehorn into storylines on television to get to it. Having said that, it's probably the best one we have had since the first one. It was complete bonkers, with some insane spots. Finally, we had the main event. They did a fantastic job of building this up in the last couple of Dynamites. I love the story of Ospreay's ascension vs Hangman's redemption. I was about 90% sold on Ospreay winning. It was an absolute classic match and had me on the edge of my seat. I still can't quite believe Hangman won, but I am really pleased he did. The man deserves it and as a character, he currently is more intriguing and has more depth than Ospreay. The only problem is now I am worried that Moxley might actually retain at All In... but surely not? Edit: Ok, I originally rated this an 8, but months later this has become one of my favourite shows of the year, so bumped it up to a 9."
[9.0] "All of my individual match ratings and comments for this card tell it in depth. But, the summary is: Incredible main event, Incredibly fun Anarchy in the Arena, Excellent opener, four very good to great matches, one that's better than you'd think (6-man), and the worst one on the card is still a 6/10. AEW PPV's go hard and this somehow may have been one of the best. And the fact that Revolution 2025 had a dud main event, while both had 4x 9/10 matches and I rated a 9 on each, means that Double or Nothing is the PPV of the year."
[10.0] "[10.7] AEW's Double or Nothing 2025 might be the greatest professional wrestling produced PPV of all-time. I've never been so proud to be a wrestling fan in my life. Everything on this show made a difference and showcased why AEW is where the best wrestle. A great opening women's matchup where we got a big time matchup of Mone vs. Storm in the future. FTR vs. Nigel and Garcia was the weakest on the show by far and underwhelmed. Ricochet vs. Briscoe impressed and managed to overblow my expectations. Syndicate vs. Sons of Texas did the same thing and overblew my set expectations. Okada vs. Bailey was an amazing matchup which made Okada look strong and made Bailey look great in defeat. Toni vs. Mina was also pretty good and was way better than the Forbidden Door match they had. Team AEW vs. Deathriders & Young Bucks was if not the best professional wrestling produced multi-man match of all-time. Nothing will top that for YEARS to come. Paragon vs. Don Callis Family despite being in a crushing spot with the Anarchy match and the main event managed to leave a nice little mark on the card and the main event managed to be filled with so much emotions and drama. Hangman finally getting his moment and facing Mox at All In. Overall, this was an absolutely spectacular show. One of, If not the best wrestling show of all-time."
[10.0] "The best PPV of the year so far, including All In, had no expectations for this going in beyond being sure it would deliver as AEW PPV's tend to do. Didn't expect this level of quality though. Anarchy in the Arena may well be the most fun I've ever had watching wrestling, so many cool spots, so many great moments and I found myself marking out or just flat out laughing at how absurdly fun this match was the whole way through. The main event is also a masterpiece, Will did a great job of taking on the heel role in the match and ultimately the right decision was made on the winner. Outside of those two MOTYC's I loved the Hayter/Mone, Briscoe/Ricochet and Okada/Bailey matches, with the latter really over-delivering on expectations, really enjoyed FTR/Garcia & McGuinness and thought the trios and tag title match were both very solid at worst. Nothing close to a bad match on the show, the tag title is the weakest by far but even that is perfectly fine. Double or Nothing had underwhelmed for a couple of years before this one but this well and truly made up for it, without question one of the best wrestling shows of all time."
[8.0] "I thought it was an excellent show similar to Revolution in March. The match quality was strong from top to bottom and the main event was great. The women's match with Mone/Hayter was very good too. There were several other very good matches too, although I thought there were a lot of predictable matches. With that said, I thought Ospreay beating Page was very likely and it didn't happen that way, so good job putting Page over in a big way. The Anarchy in the Arena match is a lot of fun to watch. It's hard to analyse and criticize because there's so much going on. Some people in the match might only be shown for five minutes in a 35 minute match because there's so much action going on. However, I think it would be fun to watch with a bunch of friends and family as a reminder of how pro wrestling can be this really cool thing. My main complaint is that I think the show is too long and you could tell the crowd was tired for some of it. They were a very good crowd most of the night, but they were dead for Paragon against the Don Callis Family following Anarchy in the Arena. Does the show need to be 4.5 hours on the main show and 6 hours counting the pre-show? I don't think so. AEW has this mentality of doing more and getting more people on the show, but that isn't necessarily a good thing. To me, a 3.5-hour show with 7 or 8 matches should be it. That goes for WWE too. I think their shows having only 5 matches under three hours are too few."
[5.0] "This show refused to end. I do not understand how anyone can stomach watching these long ass shows from beginning to end in one sitting. I am definitely not capable of that. That being said I did not hate this show even though it had several filler and interminable matches. The main event was what I expected and the only match that I hated was the Anarchy thing which had its "highlights" if you want to call it that. The women's championship match and the stretcher match were decent while the rest was average and/or inoffensive. The commentary sucked as usual and the production had a habit of missing stuff that they shouldn't."
[10.0] "With good peace of All Out 2021 and Revolution 2023, this was the greatest PPV in the company's history. Every thing that could've went well, went even better. Just a perfect show, top to bottom. Jamie and Mercedes opened in a great fashion by putting one of the best matches in the women's division history. I hoped Jamie was going to get in done, but I can't be mad Mercedes won. She might actually be the best western woman wrestler ever. I just hope they do something with Jamie now and keep her momemtum going. FTR vs. Nigel and Garcia was good, although a few minutes could've been trimmed away. FTR as heels make feel things. Ricochet vs. Briscoe had no reason going as hard as it did, one of the best matches of the night. Both men should hold gold by the end of the year. Syndicate vs. Sons of Texas was fine, the bathroom break of the show. MJF with the Syndicate feels like a fever dream, and I love it. Speeball vs. Okada was awesome, Speedball so good he made Okada lock in. The shooting star into the dropkick absolutely blew my mind. Toni vs. Mina was great, leagues above their match last year. AITA was simply insane, the best AITA by a mile. It's because of matches like this one that I love wrestling and AEW. I'm just going to say that I lost my voice singing. The Don Callis Family and Paragon were put in the spots of the death and actually put on a fun match. I could've enjoyed it even more had I not been spent from AITA, but it was still a fun match. Ospreay vs. Hangman was the perfect way to end such a tremendous night of pro wrestling. A match that simply goes any possibile imagination. Amazing, amazing match. Hangman winning was just the right call and had Ospreay won, I won't lie, I would've been so pissed... Hangman winning just feels right. All-timer show from AEW. 10/10"
[10.0] "AEW has a reputation for killer PPVs, but I think this might actually be the best one they've done to date. There was one slow, boring, ignorable Hurt Syndicate tag match, and the trios match is a just "OK" blow off between the two main events, but besides that its just banger after banger. Not one but TWO really good Women's matches on the card, Mike Bailey made a great PPV debut against Okada, a fun tag match with the GOATs FTR, the hardcore and hilarious stretcher match between Ricochet and Briscoe, and then two instant MOTYC at the end. The Anarchy in the Arena cleared the high bar prior versions set, and maybe the most entertaining wrestling match you'll see all year. Adam Page vs Will Ospreay is as good a singles match you'll see all year, setting us on the path for the hugely satisfying All In Texas. Top to bottom, this is as good a pro wrestling show I've ever seen."
[10.0] "(10) One of the best PPVs OAT. Opener between Mercedes and Hayter was fantastic, Richo vs Mark was Shockingly good and Okada Speedball was just what I had hoped it would be. Already a great show before you even get to the 2 big matches. Anarchy in the arena was some of the most fun ive had as a wrestling fan with so many crazy moments and the finals of the Owen between Hanger and Osperay was a clear MOTY contender and genuinely surpirsed me with how good it was. Overall a ridiculous card from top to bottom."
[9.0] "Probably their best PPV all year, atleast so far. Top to bottom some amazing matches, with a couple of issues here and there. That 6 man tag should've been earlier in the card really. Main ebented absolutely ruled though."
[10.0] "This card really showcased why AEW has been on fire in 2025. It continues to build and build, and you saw the talent on full display here. Not only the talent, but there was a special feeling about the entire show, and how the matches were delivering. Everything felt like it was done with purpose, so many different styles were exhibited, and you leave the night feeling like you've really experienced the best wrestling ever. Standouts include Hangman-Ospreay, which by gawd, that's storytelling at it's finest. Anarchy in the Arena I could have watched again right after it finished. Ricochet and Briscoe was such a fantastic showcase for two of the right blow stars. And Mone-Hayter was an a powerful opener. A real pleasure, and I might buy this on DVD, which I haven't done in like a decade."
[10.0] "Finally watched this (I'm behind on my AEW viewing, sue me) and it was just as awesome as everyone says. There's likely nothing I can add that hasn't already been said. My average match rating for this PPV is 7.7 and normally I keep my overall event rating within about a point up or down of that but the general vibe and the overall satisfaction I got from this warrants a 10."
[10.0] "Brilliant event. Practically flawless entertainment from begging to end minus a few obvious bumps in the road. It's about as good as live wrestling gets in my opinion."
[8.0] "This was a very solid PPV, I enjoyed almost all of the matches, particularly the main event and I'm not even that much of a Hangman fan. I still gotta disagree strongly with the community here on the anarchy match. What a mess it was and so idiotic, I hate the staple gun gimmick, I hate how swerved uses it it's incredibly dumb. Apart from that low point it was a great PPV and highly recommend 8/10."
"Superb PPV. A1 quality, best wrestling event of the year and an all timer for any promotion. Hard to find a single bad bout here - all other PPVs and promotions need to step up their game to reach these lofty standard. Best bout was the main event, but really all matches are worth a look in (even if a couple could probably main event weekly tv shows instead of being placed mid-card)."
[9.0] "Lots to like on this one. Awesome main event in Hangman vs Ospreay; hope the victory's payoff will be Hangman taking the belt from Mox, which would be a nice full-circle redemption story. Mercedes-Hayter, Briscoe-Ricochet, Okada-Bailey all great. Toni Storm - perhaps my single favorite current character - had a nice title defense against Shirakawa. Anarchy in the Arena was a lot of fun. Even the "lesser" matches were at at least good, and for a show this long - something I still wouldn't mind seeing AEW get under control - this one did keep moving and didn't feel like it was wearing out its welcome. One of the best major-level shows of the year thus far."
[10.0] "As a day one AEW fan this was a long time coming. From the early days to pandemic/lockdown days and everything since this is exactly what AEW fans deserved. A great ppv from start to finish. There genuinely isn't a bad match on the card. Everything/everyone delivered an amazing ppv the level of which is on par with All Out 2021, Full Gear 2021, Revolution 2023, Revolution 2024, All In 2024, etc.. The point is, this is one of the greatest ppv in this companies short history which only proves that they're on the right path and no longer worried about trivial things, just quality wrestling. From the Women's Owen Cup Finals to the stretcher match to Speedball Mike Bailey getting one of the best matches out of Okada we haven't seen in a while to Toni and Mina giving us another great match in there history. Then we get to what some consider two of the best matches of the year in the Anarchy in the Arena and Hangman vs Ospreay. All in all, this was one of the best shows AEW has put on and was a perfect setup to All In."
[10.0] "Definitely the best PPV I've seen this year and possibly the best of all time. Every match was great to excellent and the Page/Ospreay bout is a legit match of the year competitor. Speedball/Okada was incredible as well."
[9.0] "A superb show despite being almost endless. Many matches could have been done without or even shortened by several minutes. I'm thinking in particular of the two tag team matches, the trios match and the match for the World Women's title. A series of matches always so fast, we don't waste time and so I understand what the matches I just mentioned are for. The rest of the matches make this show really cool to watch. It's been a long time since I watched AEW and seeing a quality women's match as an opener makes me happy. A big favorite for Okada Vs Bailey. A little disappointment for Anarchy In The Arena, nothing to do with what happens in the ring but it's more at the level of the musical themes used... And the Main Event is really a match not to be missed. MOTN: Ospreay Vs Page (4*1/2)"
[6.0] "I said this about the Anarchy In The Arena Match, but it holds true for the whole ppv (and most AEW PPVs), this was like Ant Man, or the second Thor movie, or any other of the sort of side-quest Marvel movies. Yes, a bunch of cool looking stuff happens. But when heroes and villains are both thrown through skyscrapers, off skyscrapers, hit by busses, shot by lasers, etc and they all come back in the next scene....then it gets old. Nothing has consequences and nothing matters. You stop caring and it gets boring. They're too long and the acting and story isnt good enough to carry it. Thats this ppv. The selling across the board was lacking, too many people needed too many moves to win (so by the time Hangman and Ospreag were wrestling I didn't care until the 25 minute mark), the in ring storytelling was lacking across the board. People will rate this PPV high, but in 6 months you wont be able to talk about any specifics because 4 1/2 hours of high spots and no selling all blends together and ultimately, means nothing. Not a bad PPV. Cut the FTR tag and 6 man tag entirely, make Briscoe/Ricochet a regular match, cut AITA to about 20 minutes, cut all other match times by 15%, and this would have been a much higher quality, higher focused PPV. Remember, more is not better. The best comedians aren't the ones that tell the most jokes, they tell the best jokes. This PPV was quantity over quality and when everyone needs every move to beat everyone, then moves don't mean anything when they need to in the main event."
[9.0] "So damn good. Definitely going to be one people will remember for a long time. -1 point just because a couple matches, while good didn't have the same PPV feel. Also would love to see more than 2 women's matches on the card (I loved they put willow and marina in AITA as well)! Other than that top tier show and I can definitely see myself revisiting this ppv very often LOL."
[10.0] "The perfect PPV. Hangman vs Ospreay was so gripping. I haven't been that on the hook for a match since Hangman & Omega vs Young Bucks at Revolution 2020. Probably the best or tied for the best Anarchy In The Arena match. The opener between Mercedes & Hayter was incredible. Stretcher match was awesome. Toni vs Mina, even though it was predictable, had more drama than it had any right to have. Even the pacing of this PPV if you're going to watch it from end-to-end, having that trios match as a cooldown between AITA and the main event made it easier to take everything in."
[10.0] "Absolutely outstanding PPV. Even though one match could have just been TV main-event everything else worked and every and every storyline felt important. And then the last 90 minutes featured two matches in my top 5 MOTYCs list worldwide. Just slightly less historical than Revolution. *****"
[10.0] "A very very strong PPV for AEW. I think Revolution is still my favorite of the year, but this one was almost flawless. I especially love how the show ended with a powerful main event. Mox's defenses at World's End, Revolution, and Dynasty were lackluster at best. Also the Owen Cup opening the show was a great touch. And this was without a doubt the best Anarchy in the Arena match since they debuted the concept."
[7.0] "While some matched didn't live up to expectations and admittedly these AEW shows are still way overbooked, this has got to be one of the most fun shows I've seen in a minute. There was literally something for everyone on this card and while that's not the most consistent thing in the word it does give you a buffet of what modern day wrestling has to offer"
"This has to be my favourite wrestling show ever. The matches and stories were perfection. Even the order the matches were placed felt perfect. This is how you put on a show. Will vs Adam might take the spot as my favourite match of all time. Just wow!"
[10.0] "AEW continues to put on all time great PPVs. This show was no exception being as close as you can get to perfect. I'm giving 10/10 because just like with movies, there are 10/10s (that doesn't mean every single detail was perfect). There wasn't anything actively bad on this show and it included two instant classic matches for me. The placement of the matches did this show wonders as well. I won't be forgetting about this card any time soon!"
[7.0] "The final score is result of average scores for every match on this card. Honestly the potential it show had was 10/10 but too many not needed and not importnat matches on PPV, it obviously went for too long and some storytelling factors were hugely missed here. While Im a bit dissapointed DoN delivered some classics like both Owens finals and Anarchy and overall it was beautifull show of wrestling."
"8.5 First time watching AEW, and first time watching some of the more decorated athletes in the global umbrella of wrestling such as Kenny, Kazuchika, Will Ospreay, etc. Pretty cool."
[10.0] "By far the best PPV of 2025 for me. All the matches delivered, the main even is an absolute five star, the crowd was totally electric and the production team put in the efforts to greatly produce this show. The only flaw is that, as often with AEW, this show was quite time consuming. 4H30 of non-stop wrestling is a bit too long. Appart from that, a nearly perfect even for me."
[10.0] "Way too damn long. Should have cut FTR vs Garcia/McGuiness and Paragon vs Don Callis Family. Both of those matches could have shined as main events on Dynamite or Collision. I would rate lower but the Owen Heart Finals, Ricochet v Briscoe, and Anarchy in the Arena matches were all just so phenomenal. If AEW are going to keep these events so long, they need to start two hours earlier."
[10.0] "Front to back, I enjoyed all the matches, and it's not the type where I enjoy it because it's good, I enjoyed it because it was just really freaking fun. It was an experience like no other. I felt the stakes from the owen hart finals, and the Anarchy in the Arena? It's literally a dream come true for me. Kenny Omega wilding out to Bodies was just everything. Best show of the year so far for AEW. 10/10"
"1) Great idea bookending the show with the finals of the Owen Hart tournament! Obviously, both matches lived up to the hype, but that's not the only thing they have in common - in both cases an unexpected contender (at least for me) came up on top. Thank God I'm not a betting man anymore, otherwise I would have lost a lot of money on Jamie and Ospreay. Especially considering Will being a heavy favorite with gambling companies; I don't remember such a discrepancy in the betting odds and the actual outcome in a long time. 2) The Stretcher Match exceeded my expectations. I'm so glad AEW became the place where Ricochet finally can fully display his talent and realize his potential. 3) The Tag Team Championship match made me so anxious about MJF costing the Hurt Syndicate their first title defense with him as their newest member at ringside. It would have made me feel so bad for him. It took me back to my school days, when I didn't want to screw anything up, but somehow kept screwing everything up anyway. In my mind, they told a great story both inside AND outside the ring in this one. 4) Honestly, I planned to skim through the Anarchy in the Arena match, but when Drowning Pool's "Bodies" hit the speakers, I shit you not, it became one of my coolest moments in pro-wrestling history. Of course, I could not miss a single beat of this song, and by the time the track was over (and what a way to stop the music it was! ), I was too invested into the match to continue skimming through. Every year we wonder how are they going to top the Anarchy in the Arena match next year, and every year they do it. That being said, I have no idea how are they going to top this insanity next year. 5) On paper, Paragon vs Josh Alexander / Takeshita / Fletchers looks like a dream match, but in reality it was just a filler - a breather, a toilet break match before the main event. 6) The main event really had this "big fight" feel. I don't even remember when the last time AEW was able to conjure up this magic in the air. It was truly a phenomenal battle with, as mentioned earlier, an unexpected outcome - for many Will Ospreay dethroning Jon Moxley at All In was a foregone conclusion, including me."
[9.0] "Definitely a home run in terms of PPV for AEW! It started off well yet had me skeptical in terms of the result in the Owen Hart Women's Final and FTR vs. Garcia/Mcguiness being more storyline with solid in-ring offense. The Stretcher match definitely brought the energy up for me, I'm becoming a fan of Briscoe & Ricochet has found his groove being his annoying yet talent heel. The AEW Tag Team Title match was definitely the weaker match yet still had enjoyable moments for me in terms of seeing Sons of Texas. The Continental Title Match, Anarchy in the Area, & Owen Hart Men's Final were my MOTN as they provided so much entertainment and help certified my love for AEW as the alternative wrestling promotion! AEW Women's Title was good, I'm happy to see Mina Shirakawa apart of AEW and she fits in well, The Paragon vs. Don Callis Family while having little build and coming after Anarchy in the Area put on some good action with the superstars involved. A solid PPV that will definitely be remembered in the long run of AEW Career."
[7.0] "A show that had pieces that I enjoyed in the main event especially followed by the stretcher match. The opener and Bailey/Okada were both pretty good but both had foregone conclusions with the opener particularly overstating its welcome. AITA was more enjoyable than last year's but similarly overstayed its welcome. Some solid matches in-between with the tag title match and Paragon trios match both being more middling. It is a show that could have been paced more effectively and been improved. 6.5-7"
[7.0] "The greatest AEW PPV of al ltime like it is currently ranked? I think that's a bit over the top, but AEW finally knocked one out of the park again here. I think the lack of a Moxley Main Event and no Chris Jericho certainly helped. Top matches here were The Owen Hart Final, Anarchy in the Arena, and the stretcher match. Only complaint is my normal complaint with wrestling right now. This show's timeline topped out including pre-show of right at 6 hours long. It took three sittings to watch this whole damn thing."
[10.0] "Best AEW PPV of the year from start to finish. The Owen Hart Cup finals opening and closing was the perfect decision. Both were amazing. The AITA rocked. Everything else was good or at least passable."
[10.0] "As I write this review out, this is easily PPV of the year. By far. Nothing even compares to the experience of watching this live. I only ended up missing one match (switched over to Vaquer vs Grace during the tag title match which as expected was the weakest part of the show), however, the rest of the show was AMAZING. Mercedes/Jamie had a great opener worthy of the Owen Cup final. It was really lovely seeing them gel so well with each other, and Mercedes continues her run of being one of, if not, the best women's wrestler in North America right now. FTR vs Nigel and DG was fun, although it had no reason to be longer than the match before it. The stretcher match was awesome, and honestly, I'm happy for Ricochet finally fleshing out a personality, and how it contrasts with Mark Briscoe's, their dynamic was fun to watch too. Okada vs Speedball was a pleasant surprise, and it blew away my expectations completely. Okada finally locked in and wasn't phoning it in and matched everything Speedball threw at him, especially the brilliant closing stretch. Toni vs Mina was fun. Anarchy in the Arena was probably the most fun I've had watching a match other than the TLC match on SmackDown and the Women's 3 way at WrestleMania 41. The trios match got the death spot, but was fine for what it was. Big pop for The President, The Ace. And the main event. Man. Just a perfect wrestling match, and the match of the calibre of the talents of Hangman Adam Page and Will Ospreay. Probably my favorite match of the year closing out the best PPV of the year. Mercedes/Jamie ****1/4 (4.25). FTR/Nigel-DG ***1/2 (3.5). Ricochet/Mark ****1/4 (4.25). Kazu/Speedball ****1/4 (4.25). Toni/Mina ***3/4 (3.75). AITA ***** (5). Paragon/DCF ***1/2 (3.5). Hanger/Will ***** (5)."
[7.0] "This was a great show but too long as usual this brought the score down. Two matches should have/could have been cut and then this would have become an amazing PPV. No need for that paragon match with Adam Cole always getting a separate entrance, yes seems petty but its the truth. The tag match was just meh and felt like a filler match . 271 marks of 10/10 is quite pathetic because no one with any actual sense can mark this as a 10/10. For this to happen every match would need to be 5/5 and they weren't and this site is starting to become nonsense due to the tribalism Sorry @cagematch guys."
[10.0] "I have never watched a night of professional wrestling that was of such a consistent high standard. Every single match was at the very least, good."
[7.0] "Yet another solid AEW PPV dragged down by its unnecessary length and filler matches. Bald-off between Ricochet vs Mark Briscoe was beautifully brutal, and would be my favorite match of the show if it wasn't for the incredible main event between two of the very best in the business."
[10.0] "I had to watch it a second time because maybe it was the euphoria of watching it live, I still think it's one of the best AEW PPV ever! The main event played a big role in that, not only Will Ospreay and Adam Page never faced each other in a single and since they're amongst the best wrestlers of all time, you got the anticipation purely on the in ring aspect, but it was more than that, they build this match as if it's the most important one of the company, who's gonna win and what will happen to the loser? The match was obviously a masterpiece, the crowd was 100% invested even after witnessing some crazy shits earlier, the production was S tier, Hangman wins and the after match was perfect. I pray that All In Texas closes with a cowboy wining the belt from Moxley! Not a single bad match on the rest of the show, the other big highlight is the Anarchy in the Arena, which keeps getting better produced every year and still the craziest stipulation and the most fun wrestling fight you'll ever see, I'd love to experience it live one day. We also got great wrestling in the opener, Mercedes vs Hayter with a surprising result, they're doing the big Toni Storm vs Mercedes Moné right away, I understand, just hope Athena is gonna be in a good program at All In in her home state. Speedball Mike Bailey brought the best out of Okada, incredible bout! The stretcher match was NUTS! Ricochet delivers once again and I love the fact they used the ambulance later for the AITA and a blood covered Mark Briscoe getting involved, he's the craziest motherf*cker on the roster! All the other match were good and functioned as good breathers, maybe FTR vs Garcia & Nigel was 5-10 min too long and Hurt Syndicate would have been better between AITA and main event. Some entrances were fantastic like that Swerve Strickland Predator one and they even made some day/night theme throughout the show with a different lightning, absolute peak even in the little details. This is the best edition of Double or Nothing and AEW feels hot right now."
[10.0] "I was skeptical going into this - All In is clearly going to be bigger, right? I feared it was going to like the lame, uneventful last weekly show before a PPV you see all too often. Holy heck this delivered so insanely well! Page vs. Ospreay took me back to feelings I hadn't felt since watching WWF in the late 80's and 90's. The pacing was just amazing. The frenetic pacing worked so well with the pauses. They looked so truly spent, and some of the hitting was insanely stiff. It all just added up to something that didn't feel generic or modern with flashy aerobatic moves, it felt epic. AITA was the best yet - it felt like there was less brutality and bloody carnage than some of the others but the sheer thrill of seeing these guys all go at it just made it so utterly cool to watch. That said, I did feel Samoa Joe was a little underused, protected even. Mone vs Hayter - is this the greatest female roster, ever? Okada vs Bailey, Ricochet vs Briscoe were surprisingly good. FTR vs Garcia/McGuiness also. The other matches were okay but by no means a drag. It's been a rough ride through the Moxley show, a move I didn't agree with after Danielson left. I thought Ospreay was guaranteed to win so this makes things very interesting. Hanger vs Mox, Mone vs Storm - All In is going to be, as Taz says.. NUTS"
"While it may have run a bit long (especially if you include the pre show), this entire card was fantastic. I've noticed that ever since 2020, Double Or Nothing PPVs haven't received as much recognition or long term discourse as many other AEW shows such as Revolution, All out, All In, Forbidden Door... Could this be because the shows haven't been as good as the other major PPVs in years past? Yes. Could it be because aside from 2019's DON (which seems like a lifetime ago), there hasn't really been an amazing Double Or Nothing event that has been able to cement the PPV's legacy like a 2021 All Out, or a 2024 Revolution? Also yes. Double Or Nothing to me has always been a PPV that is regarded as a big deal since the 2019 show was AEW's first event, however, year by year, each show seems to feel less major in comparison to Revolution, All Out, Forbidden Door, especially since they've introduced All In. With this in mind though, Double Or Nothing 2025 will stand the test of time. I love this show, from top to bottom. An awesome Women's match with real stakes to open the show, the best AITA match, the best PPV main event since last year's All In... and an inspired Okada performance? Can't say enough good this about this show, aside from the lengthy run time. This show will certainly go down in the AEW all timers, and I can't wait for All In this July."
[8.0] "Wasn't a fan of the first two matches whatsoever but from the stretcher match forward it really picks up steam. The first two matches were definitely overly long, the tag match had no business being nearly 25 minutes. The stretcher match however was incredible, hilarious and gruesome spots, Ricochet and Mark Briscoe showed their unexpected chemistry. Toni Storm's presence was on full effect as usual but not a great match whatsoever. But the spotlight of the night by far, Anarchy in the Arena, absolute chaos with Drowning Pool just blaring, the entire crowd feeling it, an energetic, chaotic, adrenaline-filled match, at times a little too disorganized for its own good at times, but you can't deny the sheer enjoyment. Making Paragon/Don Callis follow that was brutal. Topped off with a great main event between Ospreay and Page, a great all-around show."
[9.0] "Very good PPV. Bookended by the two best matches of the night and stuff in the middle was good to very good. Anarchy in the Arena was pure entertaining chaos like it always is."
