[10.0] "The best PPV of the year so far, including All In, had no expectations for this going in beyond being sure it would deliver as AEW PPV's tend to do. Didn't expect this level of quality though. Anarchy in the Arena may well be the most fun I've ever had watching wrestling, so many cool spots, so many great moments and I found myself marking out or just flat out laughing at how absurdly fun this match was the whole way through. The main event is also a masterpiece, Will did a great job of taking on the heel role in the match and ultimately the right decision was made on the winner. Outside of those two MOTYC's I loved the Hayter/Mone, Briscoe/Ricochet and Okada/Bailey matches, with the latter really over-delivering on expectations, really enjoyed FTR/Garcia & McGuinness and thought the trios and tag title match were both very solid at worst. Nothing close to a bad match on the show, the tag title is the weakest by far but even that is perfectly fine. Double or Nothing had underwhelmed for a couple of years before this one but this well and truly made up for it, without question one of the best wrestling shows of all time."
[8.0] "I thought it was an excellent show similar to Revolution in March. The match quality was strong from top to bottom and the main event was great. The women's match with Mone/Hayter was very good too. There were several other very good matches too, although I thought there were a lot of predictable matches. With that said, I thought Ospreay beating Page was very likely and it didn't happen that way, so good job putting Page over in a big way. The Anarchy in the Arena match is a lot of fun to watch. It's hard to analyse and criticize because there's so much going on. Some people in the match might only be shown for five minutes in a 35 minute match because there's so much action going on. However, I think it would be fun to watch with a bunch of friends and family as a reminder of how pro wrestling can be this really cool thing. My main complaint is that I think the show is too long and you could tell the crowd was tired for some of it. They were a very good crowd most of the night, but they were dead for Paragon against the Don Callis Family following Anarchy in the Arena. Does the show need to be 4.5 hours on the main show and 6 hours counting the pre-show? I don't think so. AEW has this mentality of doing more and getting more people on the show, but that isn't necessarily a good thing. To me, a 3.5-hour show with 7 or 8 matches should be it. That goes for WWE too. I think their shows having only 5 matches under three hours are too few."
[5.0] "This show refused to end. I do not understand how anyone can stomach watching these long ass shows from beginning to end in one sitting. I am definitely not capable of that. That being said I did not hate this show even though it had several filler and interminable matches. The main event was what I expected and the only match that I hated was the Anarchy thing which had its "highlights" if you want to call it that. The women's championship match and the stretcher match were decent while the rest was average and/or inoffensive. The commentary sucked as usual and the production had a habit of missing stuff that they shouldn't."
[10.0] "With good peace of All Out 2021 and Revolution 2023, this was the greatest PPV in the company's history. Every thing that could've went well, went even better. Just a perfect show, top to bottom. Jamie and Mercedes opened in a great fashion by putting one of the best matches in the women's division history. I hoped Jamie was going to get in done, but I can't be mad Mercedes won. She might actually be the best western woman wrestler ever. I just hope they do something with Jamie now and keep her momemtum going. FTR vs. Nigel and Garcia was good, although a few minutes could've been trimmed away. FTR as heels make feel things. Ricochet vs. Briscoe had no reason going as hard as it did, one of the best matches of the night. Both men should hold gold by the end of the year. Syndicate vs. Sons of Texas was fine, the bathroom break of the show. MJF with the Syndicate feels like a fever dream, and I love it. Speeball vs. Okada was awesome, Speedball so good he made Okada lock in. The shooting star into the dropkick absolutely blew my mind. Toni vs. Mina was great, leagues above their match last year. AITA was simply insane, the best AITA by a mile. It's because of matches like this one that I love wrestling and AEW. I'm just going to say that I lost my voice singing. The Don Callis Family and Paragon were put in the spots of the death and actually put on a fun match. I could've enjoyed it even more had I not been spent from AITA, but it was still a fun match. Ospreay vs. Hangman was the perfect way to end such a tremendous night of pro wrestling. A match that simply goes any possibile imagination. Amazing, amazing match. Hangman winning was just the right call and had Ospreay won, I won't lie, I would've been so pissed... Hangman winning just feels right. All-timer show from AEW. 10/10"
Starkes Match, starker PPV. Hangman auf dem Weg zum Titel. Bester Event des Jahres bisher."
[10.0] "AEW has a reputation for killer PPVs, but I think this might actually be the best one they've done to date. There was one slow, boring, ignorable Hurt Syndicate tag match, and the trios match is a just "OK" blow off between the two main events, but besides that its just banger after banger. Not one but TWO really good Women's matches on the card, Mike Bailey made a great PPV debut against Okada, a fun tag match with the GOATs FTR, the hardcore and hilarious stretcher match between Ricochet and Briscoe, and then two instant MOTYC at the end. The Anarchy in the Arena cleared the high bar prior versions set, and maybe the most entertaining wrestling match you'll see all year. Adam Page vs Will Ospreay is as good a singles match you'll see all year, setting us on the path for the hugely satisfying All In Texas. Top to bottom, this is as good a pro wrestling show I've ever seen."
[10.0] "(10) One of the best PPVs OAT. Opener between Mercedes and Hayter was fantastic, Richo vs Mark was Shockingly good and Okada Speedball was just what I had hoped it would be. Already a great show before you even get to the 2 big matches. Anarchy in the arena was some of the most fun ive had as a wrestling fan with so many crazy moments and the finals of the Owen between Hanger and Osperay was a clear MOTY contender and genuinely surpirsed me with how good it was. Overall a ridiculous card from top to bottom."
[9.0] "Probably their best PPV all year, atleast so far. Top to bottom some amazing matches, with a couple of issues here and there. That 6 man tag should've been earlier in the card really. Main ebented absolutely ruled though."
[10.0] "This card really showcased why AEW has been on fire in 2025. It continues to build and build, and you saw the talent on full display here. Not only the talent, but there was a special feeling about the entire show, and how the matches were delivering. Everything felt like it was done with purpose, so many different styles were exhibited, and you leave the night feeling like you've really experienced the best wrestling ever. Standouts include Hangman-Ospreay, which by gawd, that's storytelling at it's finest. Anarchy in the Arena I could have watched again right after it finished. Ricochet and Briscoe was such a fantastic showcase for two of the right blow stars. And Mone-Hayter was an a powerful opener. A real pleasure, and I might buy this on DVD, which I haven't done in like a decade."
[10.0] "Finally watched this (I'm behind on my AEW viewing, sue me) and it was just as awesome as everyone says. There's likely nothing I can add that hasn't already been said. My average match rating for this PPV is 7.7 and normally I keep my overall event rating within about a point up or down of that but the general vibe and the overall satisfaction I got from this warrants a 10."
[10.0] "AEW's Double or Nothing 2025 might be the greatest professional wrestling produced PPV of all-time. I've never been so proud to be a wrestling fan in my life. Everything on this show made a difference and showcased why AEW is where the best wrestle. A great opening women's matchup where we got a big time matchup of Mone vs. Storm in the future. FTR vs. Nigel and Garcia was the weakest on the show by far and underwhelmed. Ricochet vs. Briscoe impressed and managed to overblow my expectations. Syndicate vs. Sons of Texas did the same thing and overblew my set expectations. Okada vs. Bailey was an amazing matchup which made Okada look strong and made Bailey look great in defeat. Toni vs. Mina was also pretty good and was way better than the Forbidden Door match they had. Team AEW vs. Deathriders & Young Bucks was if not the best professional wrestling produced multi-man match of all-time. Nothing will top that for YEARS to come. Paragon vs. Don Callis Family despite being in a crushing spot with the Anarchy match and the main event managed to leave a nice little mark on the card and the main event managed to be filled with so much emotions and drama. Hangman finally getting his moment and facing Mox at All In. Overall, this was an absolutely spectacular show. One of, If not the best wrestling show of all-time. [*****1/2]"
[10.0] "Brilliant event. Practically flawless entertainment from begging to end minus a few obvious bumps in the road. It's about as good as live wrestling gets in my opinion."
[8.0] "This was a very solid PPV, I enjoyed almost all of the matches, particularly the main event and I'm not even that much of a Hangman fan. I still gotta disagree strongly with the community here on the anarchy match. What a mess it was and so idiotic, I hate the staple gun gimmick, I hate how swerved uses it it's incredibly dumb. Apart from that low point it was a great PPV and highly recommend 8/10."
"Superb PPV. A1 quality, best wrestling event of the year and an all timer for any promotion. Hard to find a single bad bout here - all other PPVs and promotions need to step up their game to reach these lofty standard. Best bout was the main event, but really all matches are worth a look in (even if a couple could probably main event weekly tv shows instead of being placed mid-card)."
[9.0] "Lots to like on this one. Awesome main event in Hangman vs Ospreay; hope the victory's payoff will be Hangman taking the belt from Mox, which would be a nice full-circle redemption story. Mercedes-Hayter, Briscoe-Ricochet, Okada-Bailey all great. Toni Storm - perhaps my single favorite current character - had a nice title defense against Shirakawa. Anarchy in the Arena was a lot of fun. Even the "lesser" matches were at at least good, and for a show this long - something I still wouldn't mind seeing AEW get under control - this one did keep moving and didn't feel like it was wearing out its welcome. One of the best major-level shows of the year thus far."
[10.0] "As a day one AEW fan this was a long time coming. From the early days to pandemic/lockdown days and everything since this is exactly what AEW fans deserved. A great ppv from start to finish. There genuinely isn't a bad match on the card. Everything/everyone delivered an amazing ppv the level of which is on par with All Out 2021, Full Gear 2021, Revolution 2023, Revolution 2024, All In 2024, etc.. The point is, this is one of the greatest ppv in this companies short history which only proves that they're on the right path and no longer worried about trivial things, just quality wrestling. From the Women's Owen Cup Finals to the stretcher match to Speedball Mike Bailey getting one of the best matches out of Okada we haven't seen in a while to Toni and Mina giving us another great match in there history. Then we get to what some consider two of the best matches of the year in the Anarchy in the Arena and Hangman vs Ospreay. All in all, this was one of the best shows AEW has put on and was a perfect setup to All In."
[9.0] "Unglaublich starker PPV. Mal schauen was daraus wird (***).
[10.0] "Definitely the best PPV I've seen this year and possibly the best of all time. Every match was great to excellent and the Page/Ospreay bout is a legit match of the year competitor. Speedball/Okada was incredible as well."
[9.0] "A superb show despite being almost endless. Many matches could have been done without or even shortened by several minutes. I'm thinking in particular of the two tag team matches, the trios match and the match for the World Women's title. A series of matches always so fast, we don't waste time and so I understand what the matches I just mentioned are for. The rest of the matches make this show really cool to watch. It's been a long time since I watched AEW and seeing a quality women's match as an opener makes me happy. A big favorite for Okada Vs Bailey. A little disappointment for Anarchy In The Arena, nothing to do with what happens in the ring but it's more at the level of the musical themes used... And the Main Event is really a match not to be missed. MOTN: Ospreay Vs Page (4*1/2)"
[6.0] "I said this about the Anarchy In The Arena Match, but it holds true for the whole ppv (and most AEW PPVs), this was like Ant Man, or the second Thor movie, or any other of the sort of side-quest Marvel movies. Yes, a bunch of cool looking stuff happens. But when heroes and villains are both thrown through skyscrapers, off skyscrapers, hit by busses, shot by lasers, etc and they all come back in the next scene....then it gets old. Nothing has consequences and nothing matters. You stop caring and it gets boring. They're too long and the acting and story isnt good enough to carry it. Thats this ppv. The selling across the board was lacking, too many people needed too many moves to win (so by the time Hangman and Ospreag were wrestling I didn't care until the 25 minute mark), the in ring storytelling was lacking across the board. People will rate this PPV high, but in 6 months you wont be able to talk about any specifics because 4 1/2 hours of high spots and no selling all blends together and ultimately, means nothing. Not a bad PPV. Cut the FTR tag and 6 man tag entirely, make Briscoe/Ricochet a regular match, cut AITA to about 20 minutes, cut all other match times by 15%, and this would have been a much higher quality, higher focused PPV. Remember, more is not better. The best comedians aren't the ones that tell the most jokes, they tell the best jokes. This PPV was quantity over quality and when everyone needs every move to beat everyone, then moves don't mean anything when they need to in the main event."
[8.0] "Let's see which Mone we get today, Hayter doesn't strike me as much but let's watch a bit. I like the grappling and the way Hayter's making Mone look good. Once the bigger shots start coming out and the pace starts to wind up it is getting very enjoyable, because they go the distance to build the foundation in the match for the stronger moves to make sense and have substance. Hayter slipping on the stairjump Lariat took some wind off the sails unfortunately. The counters and big slams work well and the crowd is reacting nicely, this was great, I liked it! ***1/4 Solid strikes, solid heat, good Tag structure, lots of moves you rarely see, just plenty of moments that make you smile and point at the screen in surprise. And then the bald FTR guy shoves Nigel aside so he can Lariat his own partner. Yeah, it was because Nigel forgot to dodge, but come on. Then the spot with Schiavone makes me happy again. The big moments keep on rolling and I find myself enjoying this one as well ***1/4 Change of pace with the brawling and teasing the stretcher, great SSP off the apron. I can't believe how willing to take floor bumps Briscoe is. Ricochet pushes the table back under the ring LMAO. Now that's heel heat! This is entertaining and ECW-style and paced excellently. Uhh, except Briscoe blades before his face is hit in the steel. You can't work it like that. it's not a shortcut you should take. Well, the energy is still great and the blood brings more drama. The table makes a comeback! This really goes the distance with brutal visuals, it can get excessive, another great one, this event is hot so far ***1/2 MJF as a sidekick is hilarious. I love how much personality there is with a lot of the AEW content. This is good action but clearly overshadowed by the previous bouts. They do the WWE-style barricade Spear, which is lame even if it did look great **3/4 Speedball gets all his shit in here while playing the plucky underdog. Okada is himself, he works well with most wrestlers and makes Bailey look good, but his own offense bores me now. Nothing offensive here **3/4 Crowd is involved nicely, good grappling to start with. I don't like Luthor interfering but it leads to some innovative spots, and also it's not a WCW-style match-defining interference. Unfortunately they couldn't hold my interest, the action is just fine and they were given time to build a fair match **3/4 I LOVE this Bucks entrance! Split-screen action! Try to keep up? ! Uhh, the music's still playing guys? Now it's a dance party? Ofc New Jack and ECW used to do this music playing while the action is going, but mostly it's such an indy thing to do, it's like a music video. Claudio interrupting the music is amazing. Ok, this is entertaining, the Bucks double team Omega thru a table in a fresh, new way. I think this is a match you can enjoy several times, the crowd is hot throughout, Rick Knox is the perfect ref for the job, the more it goes on the more into it I am getting, the surprises just keep on coming, the camera shots feel timeless ****1/2 Understandably the crowd is burned out after that one, but I'm also liking the build of this card, have a breather before the ultimate main event of the night. Not to slight on these six, I like all of 'em. The action here is good, close to really good, even if it feels like a TV main event, the post-match is real fun again *** Start it nice and slow. There's a lot of great spots and moves, some nice counters, the camera angles are really good again. The announce table botch and the following Buckshot is stupid. I can't deny the crowd involvement and I mean it's a solid match but yeah, something's just missing ***1/2 Overall another great AEW PPV that gave you your money's worth and more. Nothing here is bad, maybe it would behove them to shave off some minutes off some matches but this way they make sure fans get what they're looking for. I wouldn't say the Anarchy is a MOTY contender, it's just so refreshingly crazy and well-produced."
[9.0] "So damn good. Definitely going to be one people will remember for a long time. -1 point just because a couple matches, while good didn't have the same PPV feel. Also would love to see more than 2 women's matches on the card (I loved they put willow and marina in AITA as well)! Other than that top tier show and I can definitely see myself revisiting this ppv very often LOL."
[10.0] "The perfect PPV. Hangman vs Ospreay was so gripping. I haven't been that on the hook for a match since Hangman & Omega vs Young Bucks at Revolution 2020. Probably the best or tied for the best Anarchy In The Arena match. The opener between Mercedes & Hayter was incredible. Stretcher match was awesome. Toni vs Mina, even though it was predictable, had more drama than it had any right to have. Even the pacing of this PPV if you're going to watch it from end-to-end, having that trios match as a cooldown between AITA and the main event made it easier to take everything in."
[10.0] "Absolutely outstanding PPV. Even though one match could have just been TV main-event everything else worked and every and every storyline felt important. And then the last 90 minutes featured two matches in my top 5 MOTYCs list worldwide. Just slightly less historical than Revolution. *****"
[10.0] "A very very strong PPV for AEW. I think Revolution is still my favorite of the year, but this one was almost flawless. I especially love how the show ended with a powerful main event. Mox's defenses at World's End, Revolution, and Dynasty were lackluster at best. Also the Owen Cup opening the show was a great touch. And this was without a doubt the best Anarchy in the Arena match since they debuted the concept."
[7.0] "While some matched didn't live up to expectations and admittedly these AEW shows are still way overbooked, this has got to be one of the most fun shows I've seen in a minute. There was literally something for everyone on this card and while that's not the most consistent thing in the word it does give you a buffet of what modern day wrestling has to offer"
[10.0] "My favorite show of this year so far. Incredible spots, incredible wrestling from both men and women and a very well structured card. The three tag/trios matches didn't really hook me, but even those still fall into the solid to good category for me. Add in three legitimate MOTY contenders in Mone/Hayter, Anarchy in the Arena and Page/Ospreay and you can't help but give it a 10."
"This has to be my favourite wrestling show ever. The matches and stories were perfection. Even the order the matches were placed felt perfect. This is how you put on a show. Will vs Adam might take the spot as my favourite match of all time. Just wow!"
[10.0] "AEW continues to put on all time great PPVs. This show was no exception being as close as you can get to perfect. I'm giving 10/10 because just like with movies, there are 10/10s (that doesn't mean every single detail was perfect). There wasn't anything actively bad on this show and it included two instant classic matches for me. The placement of the matches did this show wonders as well. I won't be forgetting about this card any time soon!"
[7.0] "The final score is result of average scores for every match on this card. Honestly the potential it show had was 10/10 but too many not needed and not importnat matches on PPV, it obviously went for too long and some storytelling factors were hugely missed here. While Im a bit dissapointed DoN delivered some classics like both Owens finals and Anarchy and overall it was beautifull show of wrestling."
"8.5 First time watching AEW, and first time watching some of the more decorated athletes in the global umbrella of wrestling such as Kenny, Kazuchika, Will Ospreay, etc. Pretty cool."
[10.0] "By far the best PPV of 2025 for me. All the matches delivered, the main even is an absolute five star, the crowd was totally electric and the production team put in the efforts to greatly produce this show. The only flaw is that, as often with AEW, this show was quite time consuming. 4H30 of non-stop wrestling is a bit too long. Appart from that, a nearly perfect even for me."
[10.0] "Way too damn long. Should have cut FTR vs Garcia/McGuiness and Paragon vs Don Callis Family. Both of those matches could have shined as main events on Dynamite or Collision. I would rate lower but the Owen Heart Finals, Ricochet v Briscoe, and Anarchy in the Arena matches were all just so phenomenal. If AEW are going to keep these events so long, they need to start two hours earlier."
[10.0] "Front to back, I enjoyed all the matches, and it's not the type where I enjoy it because it's good, I enjoyed it because it was just really freaking fun. It was an experience like no other. I felt the stakes from the owen hart finals, and the Anarchy in the Arena? It's literally a dream come true for me. Kenny Omega wilding out to Bodies was just everything. Best show of the year so far for AEW. 10/10"
"1) Great idea bookending the show with the finals of the Owen Hart tournament! Obviously, both matches lived up to the hype, but that's not the only thing they have in common - in both cases an unexpected contender (at least for me) came up on top. Thank God I'm not a betting man anymore, otherwise I would have lost a lot of money on Jamie and Ospreay. Especially considering Will being a heavy favorite with gambling companies; I don't remember such a discrepancy in the betting odds and the actual outcome in a long time. 2) The Stretcher Match exceeded my expectations. I'm so glad AEW became the place where Ricochet finally can fully display his talent and realize his potential. 3) The Tag Team Championship match made me so anxious about MJF costing the Hurt Syndicate their first title defense with him as their newest member at ringside. It would have made me feel so bad for him. It took me back to my school days, when I didn't want to screw anything up, but somehow kept screwing everything up anyway. In my mind, they told a great story both inside AND outside the ring in this one. 4) Honestly, I planned to skim through the Anarchy in the Arena match, but when Drowning Pool's "Bodies" hit the speakers, I shit you not, it became one of my coolest moments in pro-wrestling history. Of course, I could not miss a single beat of this song, and by the time the track was over (and what a way to stop the music it was! ), I was too invested into the match to continue skimming through. Every year we wonder how are they going to top the Anarchy in the Arena match next year, and every year they do it. That being said, I have no idea how are they going to top this insanity next year. 5) On paper, Paragon vs Josh Alexander / Takeshita / Fletchers looks like a dream match, but in reality it was just a filler - a breather, a toilet break match before the main event. 6) The main event really had this "big fight" feel. I don't even remember when the last time AEW was able to conjure up this magic in the air. It was truly a phenomenal battle with, as mentioned earlier, an unexpected outcome - for many Will Ospreay dethroning Jon Moxley at All In was a foregone conclusion, including me."
[9.0] "Definitely a home run in terms of PPV for AEW! It started off well yet had me skeptical in terms of the result in the Owen Hart Women's Final and FTR vs. Garcia/Mcguiness being more storyline with solid in-ring offense. The Stretcher match definitely brought the energy up for me, I'm becoming a fan of Briscoe & Ricochet has found his groove being his annoying yet talent heel. The AEW Tag Team Title match was definitely the weaker match yet still had enjoyable moments for me in terms of seeing Sons of Texas. The Continental Title Match, Anarchy in the Area, & Owen Hart Men's Final were my MOTN as they provided so much entertainment and help certified my love for AEW as the alternative wrestling promotion! AEW Women's Title was good, I'm happy to see Mina Shirakawa apart of AEW and she fits in well, The Paragon vs. Don Callis Family while having little build and coming after Anarchy in the Area put on some good action with the superstars involved. A solid PPV that will definitely be remembered in the long run of AEW Career."
[7.0] "A show that had pieces that I enjoyed in the main event especially followed by the stretcher match. The opener and Bailey/Okada were both pretty good but both had foregone conclusions with the opener particularly overstating its welcome. AITA was more enjoyable than last year's but similarly overstayed its welcome. Some solid matches in-between with the tag title match and Paragon trios match both being more middling. It is a show that could have been paced more effectively and been improved. 6.5-7"
Anarchy In The Arena war dann absolutes Cinema.
[7.0] "The greatest AEW PPV of al ltime like it is currently ranked? I think that's a bit over the top, but AEW finally knocked one out of the park again here. I think the lack of a Moxley Main Event and no Chris Jericho certainly helped. Top matches here were The Owen Hart Final, Anarchy in the Arena, and the stretcher match. Only complaint is my normal complaint with wrestling right now. This show's timeline topped out including pre-show of right at 6 hours long. It took three sittings to watch this whole damn thing."
[10.0] "Best AEW PPV of the year from start to finish. The Owen Hart Cup finals opening and closing was the perfect decision. Both were amazing. The AITA rocked. Everything else was good or at least passable."
[10.0] "As I write this review out, this is easily PPV of the year. By far. Nothing even compares to the experience of watching this live. I only ended up missing one match (switched over to Vaquer vs Grace during the tag title match which as expected was the weakest part of the show), however, the rest of the show was AMAZING. Mercedes/Jamie had a great opener worthy of the Owen Cup final. It was really lovely seeing them gel so well with each other, and Mercedes continues her run of being one of, if not, the best women's wrestler in North America right now. FTR vs Nigel and DG was fun, although it had no reason to be longer than the match before it. The stretcher match was awesome, and honestly, I'm happy for Ricochet finally fleshing out a personality, and how it contrasts with Mark Briscoe's, their dynamic was fun to watch too. Okada vs Speedball was a pleasant surprise, and it blew away my expectations completely. Okada finally locked in and wasn't phoning it in and matched everything Speedball threw at him, especially the brilliant closing stretch. Toni vs Mina was fun. Anarchy in the Arena was probably the most fun I've had watching a match other than the TLC match on SmackDown and the Women's 3 way at WrestleMania 41. The trios match got the death spot, but was fine for what it was. Big pop for The President, The Ace. And the main event. Man. Just a perfect wrestling match, and the match of the calibre of the talents of Hangman Adam Page and Will Ospreay. Probably my favorite match of the year closing out the best PPV of the year. Mercedes/Jamie ****1/4 (4.25). FTR/Nigel-DG ***1/2 (3.5). Ricochet/Mark ****1/4 (4.25). Kazu/Speedball ****1/4 (4.25). Toni/Mina ***3/4 (3.75). AITA ***** (5). Paragon/DCF ***1/2 (3.5). Hanger/Will ***** (5)."
[7.0] "This was a great show but too long as usual this brought the score down. Two matches should have/could have been cut and then this would have become an amazing PPV. No need for that paragon match with Adam Cole always getting a separate entrance, yes seems petty but its the truth. The tag match was just meh and felt like a filler match . 271 marks of 10/10 is quite pathetic because no one with any actual sense can mark this as a 10/10. For this to happen every match would need to be 5/5 and they weren't and this site is starting to become nonsense due to the tribalism Sorry @cagematch guys."
[10.0] "I have never watched a night of professional wrestling that was of such a consistent high standard. Every single match was at the very least, good."
[7.0] "Yet another solid AEW PPV dragged down by its unnecessary length and filler matches. Bald-off between Ricochet vs Mark Briscoe was beautifully brutal, and would be my favorite match of the show if it wasn't for the incredible main event between two of the very best in the business."
[10.0] "I had to watch it a second time because maybe it was the euphoria of watching it live, I still think it's one of the best AEW PPV ever! The main event played a big role in that, not only Will Ospreay and Adam Page never faced each other in a single and since they're amongst the best wrestlers of all time, you got the anticipation purely on the in ring aspect, but it was more than that, they build this match as if it's the most important one of the company, who's gonna win and what will happen to the loser? The match was obviously a masterpiece, the crowd was 100% invested even after witnessing some crazy shits earlier, the production was S tier, Hangman wins and the after match was perfect. I pray that All In Texas closes with a cowboy wining the belt from Moxley! Not a single bad match on the rest of the show, the other big highlight is the Anarchy in the Arena, which keeps getting better produced every year and still the craziest stipulation and the most fun wrestling fight you'll ever see, I'd love to experience it live one day. We also got great wrestling in the opener, Mercedes vs Hayter with a surprising result, they're doing the big Toni Storm vs Mercedes Moné right away, I understand, just hope Athena is gonna be in a good program at All In in her home state. Speedball Mike Bailey brought the best out of Okada, incredible bout! The stretcher match was NUTS! Ricochet delivers once again and I love the fact they used the ambulance later for the AITA and a blood covered Mark Briscoe getting involved, he's the craziest motherf*cker on the roster! All the other match were good and functioned as good breathers, maybe FTR vs Garcia & Nigel was 5-10 min too long and Hurt Syndicate would have been better between AITA and main event. Some entrances were fantastic like that Swerve Strickland Predator one and they even made some day/night theme throughout the show with a different lightning, absolute peak even in the little details. This is the best edition of Double or Nothing and AEW feels hot right now."
[10.0] "I was skeptical going into this - All In is clearly going to be bigger, right? I feared it was going to like the lame, uneventful last weekly show before a PPV you see all too often. Holy heck this delivered so insanely well! Page vs. Ospreay took me back to feelings I hadn't felt since watching WWF in the late 80's and 90's. The pacing was just amazing. The frenetic pacing worked so well with the pauses. They looked so truly spent, and some of the hitting was insanely stiff. It all just added up to something that didn't feel generic or modern with flashy aerobatic moves, it felt epic. AITA was the best yet - it felt like there was less brutality and bloody carnage than some of the others but the sheer thrill of seeing these guys all go at it just made it so utterly cool to watch. That said, I did feel Samoa Joe was a little underused, protected even. Mone vs Hayter - is this the greatest female roster, ever? Okada vs Bailey, Ricochet vs Briscoe were surprisingly good. FTR vs Garcia/McGuiness also. The other matches were okay but by no means a drag. It's been a rough ride through the Moxley show, a move I didn't agree with after Danielson left. I thought Ospreay was guaranteed to win so this makes things very interesting. Hanger vs Mox, Mone vs Storm - All In is going to be, as Taz says.. NUTS"
"While it may have run a bit long (especially if you include the pre show), this entire card was fantastic. I've noticed that ever since 2020, Double Or Nothing PPVs haven't received as much recognition or long term discourse as many other AEW shows such as Revolution, All out, All In, Forbidden Door... Could this be because the shows haven't been as good as the other major PPVs in years past? Yes. Could it be because aside from 2019's DON (which seems like a lifetime ago), there hasn't really been an amazing Double Or Nothing event that has been able to cement the PPV's legacy like a 2021 All Out, or a 2024 Revolution? Also yes. Double Or Nothing to me has always been a PPV that is regarded as a big deal since the 2019 show was AEW's first event, however, year by year, each show seems to feel less major in comparison to Revolution, All Out, Forbidden Door, especially since they've introduced All In. With this in mind though, Double Or Nothing 2025 will stand the test of time. I love this show, from top to bottom. An awesome Women's match with real stakes to open the show, the best AITA match, the best PPV main event since last year's All In... and an inspired Okada performance? Can't say enough good this about this show, aside from the lengthy run time. This show will certainly go down in the AEW all timers, and I can't wait for All In this July."
[8.0] "Wasn't a fan of the first two matches whatsoever but from the stretcher match forward it really picks up steam. The first two matches were definitely overly long, the tag match had no business being nearly 25 minutes. The stretcher match however was incredible, hilarious and gruesome spots, Ricochet and Mark Briscoe showed their unexpected chemistry. Toni Storm's presence was on full effect as usual but not a great match whatsoever. But the spotlight of the night by far, Anarchy in the Arena, absolute chaos with Drowning Pool just blaring, the entire crowd feeling it, an energetic, chaotic, adrenaline-filled match, at times a little too disorganized for its own good at times, but you can't deny the sheer enjoyment. Making Paragon/Don Callis follow that was brutal. Topped off with a great main event between Ospreay and Page, a great all-around show."
[9.0] "Very good PPV. Bookended by the two best matches of the night and stuff in the middle was good to very good. Anarchy in the Arena was pure entertaining chaos like it always is."
[7.0] "It was a good show, the issue was with this event was that it was just too long! FTR match did not need to go as long as it did and I'm not sure we needed Toni storm vs Mina but I guess as Toni is over, they don't want to leave her off the card. Not sure the penultimate match was needed either but I guess they wanted a cool down match before the main event. Good show but I couldn't watch in one sitting and a great main event"
[10.0] "if that show cost double I'd still have felt like i got my money's worth. Only negative note is that the trios match after AITA should have been a dynamite main event but Hanger/Ospreay got me right back in the game. AITA built off the music premise of the match in a more enjoyable way but next year it would be sick to have some more songs. Imagine the babyfaces and heels fighting for control of the aux so to speak and how much more fun you could have with that. Or save the music for the finish so there's no self inflicted lull. Just a thought. This was still the most badass AITA imo."
[10.0] "What a show, Every match delivered with three genuine MOTY contenders on the card Both Owen hart finals were Bangers and even outdid the lofty expectations i had in my head for them, Then AITA was possible the most entertaining vibes match of the year it was just the purest of hardcore fun especially with Bodies playing for most of the first half of the match. The rest of the matches on the card all also delivered FTR vs Nigel and DG was great and it is always brilliant seeing Nigel lace up the boots. Ricobald vs Briscoe was a sleeper hit with some great and entertaining spots throughout, THS vs SOT was probably the weakest match on the card but tonight that was like being the weakest player on the 09 Barcelona team it was still a fun match but the fact THS were likely to retain damped it a touch. Both the continental and women's title match were big hits and on most other shows would be in the running for match of the night with great action in both and even the Paragon vs DCF match in the death spot was a good watch with 6 top workers in the ring and a post match appearance from Tanahashi hopefully starting the build for FD. All in all probably one of the best AEW ppvs ever 4 and a half hours of amazing matches and moments capped of by one of the greatest main events ever and good lord Tony deserves more respect then he gets as AEW is on a roll right now ahead of ALL IN. (Some night even though I definitely woke up everyone in my UNI accommodation and as it ended at 5:30am in the UK I'm off for a long sleep.)"
[10.0] "Simply the most perfect night of wrestling one could hope for. A more focused product is bearing fruit: the emphasis is on the right people in the right roles with the right arcs at the right time. The Owen is now can't-miss viewing that very much feels like the fate of the championship lineages hang in the balance, and both finals delivered above their impossibly high expectations. Matt Jackson got stapled in the nuts."
[10.0] "One of those shows that reminds me why I love AEW. Tremendous matches, storylines, and characters all in front of a rowdy crowd. No Mox main event allowed me to appreciate this PPV fully and actually have a smile on my face as this PPV ended. Now Tony, please make the right decision for All In."
[10.0] "My logic in rating PPVs is usually just to take the average of every match score and make that the rating, but this deserved a 10 regardless. Every match that you expected to be good was even better than you thought it would be, and even the (on paper) awful tag title match ended up being a good bit of professional wrestling. Centering the show around the main event as opposed to the AITA match was a pleasant surprise, and it helped the whole card with that being positioned towards the end instead of being the main event or co-main event. I highly doubt there will be a better PPV this year or the next, double or nothing 2025 was simply special."
[10.0] "A tremendous PPV event that looked strong on paper going in, but somehow ended up being even better. Amongst AEW's best shows ever, there wasn't anything approaching bad on this show, with amazing action up and down the card, and a phenomenal main event. Jamie vs. Mercedes was an excellent opener with a real big match feel, even though there were a couple of shaky points. Hayter has taken a while to get back into her stride after the injury, but she looked amazing here, and Mone's incredible run continues: ****1/4. Nigel/Garcia vs. FTR was a great, old school tag match (if a little longer than it needed to be), with McGuinness looking great, especially seeing as he's pushing 50 and has wrestling like 3 matches in 14 years. FTR continued to get their heel heat here, and I'm looking forward to their hypothetical programme with Cope and Christian: ****. The Briscoe/Ricochet stretcher match was a ton of fun. It turned into a wild, bloody brawl with the ever loveable Briscoe once again getting the L. Ricochet's been great in his heel run, but I'm not sure where he goes leading into All In: ****1/4. The Tag Title Match was probably the weakest match on the card, even though it was still pretty good. I get that the Hurt Business/MJF angle is amongst the hottest things in the company at the moment, and they wanted these guys on the PPV, but this is one of two matches I don't think they needed on here: **3/4. Okada vs. Speedball was excellent. Okada put in effort here, proving he's still amongst the best to ever do it, and Bailey looked great too. Easily a top 5 Okada match in AEW since he turned up last year: ****1/2. Toni vs. Mina ended up being very good. Storm has figured out how to have good matches whilst in gimmick, as opposed to letting it ruin her matches and Mina's leg work was good, making this built nicely. Toni vs. Mone should be pretty great: ***1/2. Anarchy In The Arena was tons of fun, and a highly enjoyable blood and brawl spectacle. I could do without every one of them having the music playing throughput, and this was way too long, this was great stuff that featured a ton of creative spots. I don't think this is as good as the first one in 2022, but it's by far the best since: ****1/2. The Paragon vs. Callis Family was the other match I'd not have had on this show. A good match, no doubt, but a superfluous one nonetheless. They worked hard but the crowd were burnt out from the spectacle that preceded it. The post match was fun: ***1/4. And then the Hangman/Ospreay main event. This was a modern classic, full of drama, and they worked tremendously together for their first match. A couple scary spots; the Styles Clash to the floor, and unplanned broken table spots were especially concerning. But in the end, it turned into a good old fashioned slug fest that built to a white hot finishing stretch. In the weeks going in, I'd have said Ospreay needed this win, but by the end I was totally sold on Page. Hopefully he can end the Mox reign of terror at All In: *****."
[10.0] "It was a fantastic show from start to finish. Opening with one of the best women's matches in AEW history was a brilliant way to start the show as it set the pace for the rest of the matches to come. I will definitely be watching a few of these matches back because they're worth another watch."
"This was one of the 10 or 15 best PPVs I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot. When the worst match on a show is an FTR tag ONLY because it went too long, you are in for something special. Everything on this show either delivered or was only just below expectations, and the quality peaked at unreal highs. The low points for me were so few and far between, that the only ones of note are the more cringe moments in AitA (the revolutionary war music, a "mystery man" run in that couldn't have more obviously been Hook, I'm So Excited). When your low point is cringe in a match where you go into it fully expecting at least a little cringe, you have structured and executed a show to almost perfection. AEW in their short history have put on more PPVs that leave me thinking "that might be the best PPV I've ever seen" at a rate that I've never seen, thank God for this company. 9.25/10."
"A good festival, from average to excellent, there is some randomness and disappointments, but it's okay, it's fine, the main event was great, but not the best thing, this ppv is one of the festivals of the year and deserves evaluation"
[8.0] "First off, massive props to the production team, both for the event and the video packages. This was excellent, with AITA being one of those incredible, million-different-ideas matches that AEW nails. The main event was epic in a unique fashion, but fell just shy for me of all-timer. The rest of the card had a good standard, even The Hurt Syndicate's defense. The opener was chaos though, and not in a good way. If Hayter and Mone had nailed that, rather than panicking, this would've been the event of the year. Performance bonuses go to Bailey, Mina, Hobbs, The Bucks, and both the main eventers who put on a magnficient, unpredictable Cup final."
[8.0] "(7.7/10) From one of the best AEW women's matches of the year to kick off the night, to one of the best matches of the year from all Pro-Wrestling, Double or Nothing 2025 was a good show and a breath from the right track to get the dub back to feeling the feeling again. Of the three ppvs presented by AEW from this (not-so-golden) year of 2025, Double or Nothing was the show that, by the end of it, I was content with everything I just saw. Revolution might still be the better show overall, but the ending was awful, as was Dynasty's. But Double or Nothing 2025 seemed to take notice of the fact that it was important to end the show on a positive note that would keep the fans intrigued to continue to tune in to the product. By the end of Double or Nothing '25, I think the hype for All In Texas grew immensely. A rich night of success!"
[10.0] "What more can I say that hasn't been said? I was there live, and the crowd somehow sustained energy the entire way through. What a show! AITA is AEW's War Games equivalent (sorry, B&G), and it delivers every single year. This may have been the best yet. Bodies was a perfect touch. Okada-Speedball was slept on and was fantastic. Mercedes once again shows she's the best in-ring female wrestler going. Ospreay-Hanger was a classic and I can't wait for #2 in Wembley next year. If you don't watch AEW but love pro wrestling, I dare you to watch DoN 25 and not be blown away. Exceptional pro wrestling at its best."
[10.0] "A really good AEW PPV The opening match was a banger I really thought Hayter would win, but I was fine with Mercedes taking the win I understand that they are tryna do Mercedes vs Storm at All In as a huge match. FTR vs. Nigel and DG was okay; it was awesome to see Nigel wrestling again. That said, all the tag matches on this PPV felt more like TV matches I wasn't really too fond of them. Ricochet vs. Briscoe was a fun watch. It was a hardcore match with some funny moments and overall just a really good time. The Okada vs. Bailey match was also really solid. It had that typical NJPW Okada style pacing starts slow, builds up, and ends with a banger. Okada's entrance was really cool too, and big props to Speedball for bringing out the best in Okada. Toni Storm vs. Mina was entertaining. I think it could've been better, but it was still solid overall. Anarchy in the Arena was awesome again this year. There were a lot of memorable moments the Young Bucks' entrance was goofy but fun, and the whole match was filled with hardcore spots and funny bits. The right team won in the end, and I highly recommend watching it. As for the six-man tag match, I don't think it was as bad as people are saying. A lot of the crowd was probably tired and just waiting for the main event. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either and it pretty much confirms Fletcher vs. Cole for All In, which should be good. The main event was absolutely amazing. I really thought Will Ospreay would win, but I was fine with Hangman getting the victory. That said, with Hangman winning here, I'm not sure if he'll win at All In. I think he should. They should definitely wrap up the Deathriders storyline and move on and Hangman winning would be awesome, Hangman is honestly the most relatable character in all of pro wrestling."
[8.0] "Best AEW show in a long while. Probably the best 3-match opener they've ever run. MOTN was Hayter/Mone with Nigel and Danny vs FTR and Ricochet/Briscoe in close second. Think the middle portion was kinda lackluster compared to the opening, but there was some fun stuff. Dustin notably had great chemistry with both Bobby and Shelton. The rest didn't do much for me until AITA. While they'll never be able to recapture the original match, having AITA be a fun "let's do cool stuff" match is completely fine. Page tried his best to get a good match out of Ospreay, and I think it was working until the final couple of minutes. Overall, a very fun and enjoyable show. Absolute home run if only a little too long."
[9.0] "Another banger by AEW, they are absolutely the kings when it comes to doing PPV, there are no better company in that matter, and this was just great, it had some flaws, I'm definitely not a fan of the fact it went 4h30, it's just too long, some matches could've been shorter, but overall it was fantastic, will definitely be on the lists of the best PPV's of the year, it didn't had a single bad match, just some disappointing ones, but definitely not bad. I have to say that all the women here were amazing, in their singles matches, and of course, in the AITA, which was, for sure, the best match of the event, and will be a MOTYC. AITA and Ricochet/Briscoe were my two favorite matches, and this has a lot to do with the fact that they have clearly shown what AEW can bring to the table, and how can they differ themselves from other companies. I love when AEW is authentic, and just do things that only AEW can provide, it's an incredible feeling."
[10.0] "This was one of, if not, the best pay-per-view of 2025 so far. Top to bottom, a night filled with memorable moments, stellar in-ring action and an terrific one-two punch of MOTYCs that ended the night on a high not seen for the company since All In London 2024 nearly a year ago. Mercedes/Hayter opener was an excellent encounter that had a brilliant story around Jamie's back injury & both women being fully prepared to counter the other's finisher. Mone is at her best when she can dictate the pacing of a match and this had this in spades, while mixing her style well with Hayter's hard hitting intensity. The crowd added quite a bit rallying behind Jamie in her best match since the Shida match nearly three years ago. Great work by both ladies (****1/2). FTR/Garcia & Nigel was a very good match that could have been great if they had cut 5 to 10 minutes from it. It felt overblown especially the bits surrounding Tony Schiavone at the commentary desk. They didn't need to emphasize that as much and the overall presentation could have been better. Otherwise, this had a simple yet effective story that was well executed other than the main critique (***3/4). Ricochet/Briscoe was a gnarly, bombastic Stretcher Match that overdelivered in a major way. Briscoe was on fire here, while Ricochet used his character to elevate about this match. Both men putting in a stellar effort here, It was bloody, intense and had some brutality that made every bump or spot that much more eye catching (****1/4). Hurt Syndicate/Sons of Texas was the least interesting match going in, but this wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara put in a professional effort, while Lashley & Shelton were their usual powerhouse unit. MJF's input was needed and added a bit of intrigue into the proceedings (**3/4). Okada/Speedball was a great clash of styles that was yet another bout that overdelivered. Bailey proved why he might be one of the most useful signings to the company in recent memory with his ability to have an exciting match with just about anyone on the roster. Speedy puts in maximum effort and had a top notch performance that brought out a new level for Okada. This is the best "The Rainmaker" has looked in 2025 and his best match since the Ospreay MOTYC at Worlds End last year. That finish though...ridiculously awesome (****1/4). Storm/Mina was so pristine from both ladies. A bout filled with small details that added to a gripping bout that exceeded expectations. Shirakawa showcased her sublime skills of ring psychology and limb work throughout, paying off the leg work that she started on Dynamite, while Timeless Toni put in a gutsy effort to overcome a game challenger (****). Anarchy In The Arena was an absolutely batshit insane yet overwhelmingly amazing spectacle that kept adding more and more creativity to give us something fans will never forget. The Young Bucks are back at top form and put in another splendid performance. Swerve Strickland was a main event level star in every way from his Predator entrance to perfect finish with the thumbtack Answers. Kenny Omega's ability to still come across as the biggest star in the room, while also putting the spotlight on everyone else around should be praised more. But I got all of those guys out of the way to shower praise on the stars of the match. Willow Nightingale needs to be considered one of the best women's wrestlers in the world. She came across like an all-timer babyface in this one. Powerhouse Hobbs was highlighted so well from tossing Wheeler Yuta off the balcony to being unfazed by the staples. Marina Shafir was the most surprising standout as she was a complete badass throughout. The use of Mark Briscoe and Gabe Kidd paid off their digital exclusive angle from months back and Samoa Joe had been one of the smartest additions to The Death Riders storyline as his character has added so much credibility to this whole thing. MOTYC (*****). Don Callis Family/Paragon was in a dead spot, but gave you as good as a comedown match as anyone could possibly deliver here. All six men deserve a nod because they were given a horrible card placement and made the most of it. Nice guest spot for Tana as well (***1/4). Hangman/Ospreay had the big fight feel right from the onset with two superstar level entrances and reactions. After nearly four hours of action, the Glendale crowd deserves a bow and round of applause for rising to the occasion by giving this main event the proper reaction it deserved. Both men delivered an all-timer in the main event spot in the best AEW show closer since Bryan Danielson vs Swerve Strickland at AEW All In London 2024. Hangman brings so much heart, emotion and hard hitting action that makes him arguably the most underrated best in the world out there in the business today. His brawling style meshed extremely well with Ospreay's agility, athleticism and strong style instincts. Will put in one of his best performances when it comes to the small details like selling every high impact move from Page or how he leaned heel to have the fans on the edge of their seat down the stretch and wanting to see Hangman win this one. The drama, desperation and sense of urgency were all epic and made every sequence that much more thrilling. This is not only one of the best AEW PPV main events ever, but it was also the new frontrunner for match of the year. Both star did the work to make this feel like the most important match in the company and then delivered an instant classic that was capped off by a phenomenal closing stretch that will be remembered for years to come (*****+). Overall, you won't find a lot of PPVs as great as this. Show of the year frontrunner."
[10.0] "A perfect show from top to finish. AITA was quite unique and fun (let the bodies hit the floor) Mone vs Hayter was amazing although predictable Hangman winning against Ospreay was the right move , an amazing match And Speedball brought the best out of the Rainmaker in ages . Loved this show. Worth waking up at 5:30 AM in India. Ricochet is just an amazing heel, his match with Briscoe was quite fun (Briscoe returning during AITA all bloodied was funny imo , bud didn't clean up at all lol) . Toni storm defeating Mina was Predictable but it also set up the future storylines along the duo . The six man tag was great breather from the AITA match. Love what they are doing with MJF and the Syndicate...I wonder who will use whom. What are the odds we get MJF vs Bobby at all IN?"
[9.0] "As many have stated, there wasn't a bad match on this PPV and in general for me all matches had something to enjoy. The only thing going against it is it's run time, 4.5 hours is a tad bit too much but then again no match felt like it didn't belong. Mercedes/Jamie was great to start of the show, it had some creative counters and reversals, and although I would have preferred Jamie to win I'm fine with Mercedes too. FTR/Danny&Nigel was fun for a while but I felt like it went on for longer that it should have. Ricochet/Briscoe was tons of fun, though the excessive bleeding towards the end made it a bit hard to watch. Tag titles match was entertaining, probably HS's best defense so far. Okada/Speedball & Toni/Mina were both good each on their own way, though I would say the former was definitely better in-ring with an awesome ending. AITA was the highlight of the show by far for me, they somehow manage to keep outdoing themselves in terms of creativity, it's crazy. The six-man tag admittedly could be missing but it was decent, didn't overstay its welcome and did it's job to cool off the crowd after AITA and then hyping them right back up for the main event. And finally Will/Hangman; it was good around half way through but when Will got desperate it became amazing. Although imo the wrong man won and knowing the result beforehand definitely took away some of my enjoyment for this, at the end of the day, with how the last few sequences went, I'm not that upset about it."
[10.0] "I knew this PPV was going to be stacked with bangers, but I wasn't expecting an all-timer in terms of match quality. The undercard was stacked with over-achieving gems like Ricochet/Briscoe and Okada/Speedball, but the two big centerpieces of Anarchy in the Arena and Ospreay/Page were easily MOTY contenders. AEW is firing on all cylinders right now, and I can't wait to see how this summer plays out."
[8.0] "AEW Double Or Nothing 2025 was a great PPV, the show didn't have a bad match and lived up to its great matches with the biggest stakes and highlights of the night. Mone vs. Hayter: it wasn't the result I wanted, but it was worth it for the great match, I just think the finisher could have been better [****1/4], FTR vs. Garcia/Nigel: this match didn't need to be so long [***3/4], Ricochet vs. Briscoe: one of the matches I was least excited to see and that could have happened on the weekly shows [***1/4], Hurt Syndicate vs. Sons Of Texas: the least technical match of the night, but still entertaining due to the dynamic between MJF and the rest of the group [***], Okada vs. Bailey: the time they gave to FTR could have been given to these two, they would have definitely stolen the show [****], Toni vs. Mina: practically the same level as the match they had last year at Fobidden Door, with the big difference being that they had a much better storyline there [***1/4], Anarchy In The Arena: this match started off not exciting me and ended up being my favorite match of the stipulation and the one I had the most fun with in the entire PPV [****1/2], Don Callis Family vs. Paragon: (I had to edit the comment, because I had forgotten about this match) this match didn't need to be on the PPV, if the TNT belt was at least on the line, ok, but this is a Collision match, even though the match is good (see the level of talent involved), it's completely dispensable [***1/2], Hangman vs. Ospreay: Just like the women's match, I would have preferred the opposite result, but here, no result would have been disappointing, even considering the cowboy's redemption arc, which has been a movie in itself in the program. Technically, this was the best match of the night and the emotional charge during the match gradually escalates as time goes by, the competitors' fatigue and desperation grow [****3/4]. If the show wasn't so long, my rating would definitely have been higher."
[9.0] "Was on an emotional high for hours after this show finished. Just enjoyed it tremendously overall. There were some 'lesser' matches on the card that could've been cut, but none of them felt like they were bogging down the card like, say, Jericho vs Bandido or something. The opening and closing matches were both superb, with all good to very good matches between. The bonkers AITA match was my motn as it was unfettered nonstop bollocks in the most amazing possible way."
"(8.5) All of my individual match ratings and comments for this card tell it in depth. But, the summary is: Incredible main event, Incredibly fun Anarchy in the Arena, Excellent opener, four very good to great matches, one that's better than you'd think (6-man), and the worst one on the card is still a 6/10. AEW PPV's go hard and this somehow may have been one of the best."
[10.0] "This is easily the best PPV that AEW has put on since All Out 2021, and may be the best PPV they have EVER done. Top to bottom perfect on all counts. Everything was good, everything was fun, booking was great, cinematography was really good, and the crowd was ELECTRIC from beginning to end. Four match of the year contenders on this show, but the one that stood out above the rest was Will Ospreay Vs Hangman Page, which is one of the best matches AEW has done and easily the best match this year to cap off the best PPV of the year and maybe of the Decade."
[10.0] "The best AEW event of the year and of the history , THERES NO A SINGLE BAD MATCH EVEN THE HURT BUSSINES HAD A GOOD AND ENTRETAINING MATCH, THE OPENER MATCH WAS HISTORIC Mercedes match after match is solidifying her goat run in AEW and Jamie is slowly redirecting herself into the womens world picture (again) after her back injury , THE MAIN EVENT HISTORIC i was in f*cking tears watching it a main event that was for just the future of the company Will Ospreay and Hangman 2 wrestlers i watch them since long ago (2016 and 2017) both are my world favorite wrestlers and i have see them fight just for main event ALL In and they deliever in my opinion the Man's Match of the Year, THE ANARCHY IN THR ARENA WAS THE BEST ONE every single one had their moment to shine, mox were in his natural place thumbs, barbedwire, explosions, tables, forks, glass bottles, chairs, chains and locks AMAZING"
[8.0] "Mercedes Mone vs Jamie Hayter: An epic women's tournament final match to open the PPV, Hayter had one of her best showings in AEW even if she did lose, Mone getting the win was kind of obvious but still good to see here, the crowd was split down the middle for these two, the action was delivered here really well, both showcased what they are capable of and was willing to give all they had and more which was good to see [****1/4]. Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood vs Daniel Garcia & Nigel McGuinness: While it may have been a bit too long time wise, it was still an enjoyable match, Tony Schiavone getting involved to see to McGuinness added to the drama of the match, DG and McGuinness worked well together as a team even in defeat, the pacing was just right for the time given to this one [****]. Ricochet vs Mark Briscoe: A brutal match that had it's fair share of fun moments like Briscoe shining up the head of Ricochet, some brutal looking moments and they did what they needed to do to make this an interesting match [***3/4]. Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin vs Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara: For a title defense on a PPV for The Hurt Syndicate they had a solid showing, one of the better PPV defenses since they won the titles, The Sons Of Texas put up a decent fight even in defeat [***1/2]. Kazuchika Okada vs Mike Bailey: Bailey did get affected early within the match when he went to hit a kick on Okada and connected with the steel steps, Okada retaining was never in doubt though which was a shame as Bailey could have won the title, the match overall was on a solid level but could have been elevated to the level it needed to be on [***3/4]. Toni Storm vs Mina Shirakawa: Better than their previous singles match at Forbidden Door 2024, they connected with each other and the crowd more in this one, I wish Mina had won the title though but Storm still winning was good to see though [****]. Anarchy I The Arena Match: One of the best Anarchy In The Arena matches I have seen, quite a few cool but brutal moments, one of a kind matches I have seen of this stipulation, Swerve getting the win for his team was cool to see, memorable match to watch [****3/4]. Josh Alexander, Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher vs Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong: This would have been better on Collision or Dynamite, not a PPV, they did have an okay showing, but given the card placement this was never gonna be a highlight [**3/4]. Adam Page vs Will Ospreay: MOTN and MOTYC easily, they had a hard-hitting match that was exciting from start to finish, probably one of the best matches I have seen of Page, Ospreay hitting the V-Trigger and Page hitting the JML Driver were surprising to see, some close near falls and quite a few cool moments, the storytelling in this one was worked in greatly, Page getting his moment for All In was good to see [*****1/2]"
[10.0] "A simply legendary show that goes into my top 5 of the best PPVs I've ever seen. No match is bad except for the tag team titles but other than that everything is extremely good and in the right place. We also have the best Anarchy in the Arena of the 4 organised by the company, it was just insane the action was non-stop and awesome, not to mention the music was great. And let's not forget to mention the huge main event, a 50/50 match with crazy tension, it was just too incredible, we saw another part of AEW history being written before our eyes. Once again, the show was legendary, and I'd recommend it to anyone!"
[9.0] "An amazing show with not a single bad match. Everything here is at least good, and it is definitely worth watching. A near-perfect show from open to close. 9/10/"
[9.0] "This might sound extreme to some, but this is in my top 5 AEW PPVs ever. All of the matches were consistently good to great (except for the tag title match which was, at worst, just basic). Two personal 5-star matches for me, Anarchy in the Arena and Ospreay/Hangman. Both Owen tournament finals absolutely did not disappoint, Mercedes and Hayter was also great. And on top of that, the crowd was pretty great all night. (5/5 show for me)"
[9.0] "Excellent show and one that I believe should be in the conversation with All Out 2021 and Revolution 2024 in the pantheon of AEW PPV's. I loved both Owen Hart Final matches bookending the show and being worked in a classic main event style - which added such great stakes - with each one having its own flair. I thought both the stretcher match and AEW Women's title match overdelivered in match quality. While I never doubted what Richocet and Mark Briscoe could do together I wasn't sure if this was a feud warranting a stretcher match and well they told me to stick it. Women's world title match was great, and was a coming out party for Mina imo - I want to see her working matches on dynamite regularly. All three tag matches were good with each one accomplishing what it set out to do, the FTR one being my favorite even if I think it could have gone about 3-5 minutes shorter."
[10.0] "If you gave this show any less than an 8 rating, you are, respectfully, out of your gd mind. Let's address some of the complaints first. "The build sucked" -EVERY match had a solid build, including even the pre-show(buy-in)! "AEW only cares about putting on dream matches" Okay, this one is particularly mind-boggling. I hadn't heard a single thing about dream matches until I saw some idiot here crying about it. Anarchy in the Arena was too fucking crazy that even the sickest sickos couldn't have dreamt of. No one dreamt about Ospreay vs Hangman. No one dreamt about a stretcher match, let alone between Mark Briscoe and Ricochet! The ONLY match that remotely qualified as a dream match was Okada vs Speedball, which was dubbed a dream match years ago because it literally wouldn't have happened without stars aligning. Another complaint- "WAHH, this ppv was too long! " The show cost $49.99 in the US and everyone got their money's worth. You should know by now that AEW ppvs are a full-night experience, and if you were dumb enough to make plans for after the event, that was YOUR mistake and shouldn't be reflected in your shitty grading system. Double or Nothing 2025 was an all-timer. Up there with the very best pro wrestling shows EVER. It completely over-delivered on every single level. So yeah, this rating is for the unintelligent Cornette and JDfromNY simps who don't rate things truthfully, but rather for their cult leaders' agendas. Suck it, this show rocked. 10/10 EZ!"
[8.0] "[8/10] Lots of tremendous action and great in-ring action in this year's Double or Nothing event. The show started with a fantastic match between Mercedes and Jamie Hayter in the Women's Owen Hart Foundation final. The outcome was never in question in my opinion, but they did a great job of selling the idea of Jamie not being the underdog and being in with a serious chance of picking up the win. They sold her story of being a past champion, her history with Toni Storm and how injury robbed her of that championship, which made it more believable that she could be the one to face Toni at All In. Predictable booking and outcomes is an issue that unfortunately plagued Double or Nothing, for the most part (more on that later). That isn't to say it wasn't entertaining though. There wasn't a single bad match, but you could tell who was winning most matches. Obviously Okada isn't dropping the Continental title, FTR were obviously going to win, Toni isn't losing the belt and so on. Unfortunately it's just one of those things when it's fairly obvious what match ups they are forming for All In in 6 or 7 weeks time. Another issue is the tag team division is just kind of dead. The Hurt Syndicate are great, but them facing Dustin and Guevara just isn't particularly exciting. The match was fine and elevated by the shenanigans involving MJF. Moving on, Anarchy in the Arena was absolute chaos and ridiculous fun. I personally feel the build up to it was bleh and I am a bit bored of how it has become an annual tradition that they have to shoehorn into storylines on television to get to it. Having said that, it's probably the best one we have had since the first one. It was complete bonkers, with some insane spots. Finally, we had the main event. They did a fantastic job of building this up in the last couple of Dynamites. I love the story of Ospreay's ascension vs Hangman's redemption. I was about 90% sold on Ospreay winning. It was an absolute classic match and had me on the edge of my seat. I still can't quite believe Hangman won, but I am really pleased he did. The man deserves it and as a character, he currently is more intriguing and has more depth than Ospreay. The only problem is now I am worried that Moxley might actually retain at All In... but surely not?"
[8.0] "Man, this was a very good PPV. There were some great matches here and some mid matches. Everyone did their best with the matches they were apart of. The women's Owen hart cup match opening match was a great way to start it off, the first tag match was solid but went too long, the stretcher match was way better than I thought it would be, the tag title match was fine, Bailey gave Okada his best singles match since Worlds End, the women's title match was a solid battle, the Ararchy in the area was a cluster fuck in a good and bad way, the 6 man was unnecessary but fun, and that main event was amazing."
[10.0] "This was one fn event.i loved every second of it, definitly AEW is on Fire right now, ALL in should be on the same Level as Double or Nothing and Revoltuion.. Hangman/Ospreay was the best match this year so far, Anachry in the Arena was so f'n good, the Music Choice i love it... Tony knows his Audiance, Mercedes vs Hayter was also a good start, every Match has a great outcome ! This is Awesome is the Right Call"
[8.0] "I recently got back into AEW and started watching weekly in the build-up to this PPV and honestly, what a great night it was. While both tag matches felt a bit lack lustre compared to the rest of the card, the overall effort was top tier. I haven't had this much fun watching wrestling in a long time, Anarchy in the Arena had me jumping, laughing, and giggling like a 12-year-old. I was rooting for Jamie to win, but Mercedes is undeniable. I get it ALL IN needs a huge women's match, and Toni Storm vs. Mercedes Mone is the biggest AEW can offer right now. Ricochet is great, Mark Briscoe is bloody Awesome. Okada/Bailey was the second-best men's singles match of the night because Ospreay vs. Hangman was magical. Just beautiful storytelling and athleticism .Props to Tony Khan and props to AEW."
[10.0] "One of the all time great AEW ppvs, every single match was at the minimum good/solid, with many being great and a couple being all timers. AEW just keeps rolling and is setting up All In 2025 to be an all timer."
Somit, volle Punktzahl. Ich erwähne einfach Thank You all at AEW dafür."
[10.0] "One of the best professional wrestling events I have watched in a long time! This event had everything a wrestling fan could ask for. I was particularly struck by the story of Adam Page, who is finally back at the top and has a chance to stay there if he can defeat the Death Riders and Jon Moxley. Mercedes Moné had her big moment as she heads to Texas as the AEW TBS Champion and possibly the AEW Women's World Champion. We also saw some exciting returns, including Hook. Overall, it was an amazing event. Now, the build-up for ALL IN Texas begins, and they have a great opportunity to capitalize on this momentum and make the fans happy. They really can't afford to mess this up!"
[9.0] "Everything that needed to hit, hit very high indeed. For the first time in a long time they managed to nail both the build and the landing. I can't go full 10 as I thought it was a bit of slog from the end of the stretcher match to Anarchy in the Arena."
Trotzdem vielen Dank an Tony."
[10.0] "Much like Adam Page's redemption arc at the end of the show, this truly feels like a redemption for some of the questionable booking decisions and middling action the previous couple of PPVs have had. This is undebatably one of the best shows AEW has ever put on, and I don't think that's my recency bias showing. Mone vs. Hayter was an excellent opener, and a big surprise for me since I've been rather lukewarm towards Mercedes Mone and her AEW run, which she most definitely proved me wrong, and I am not complaining. FTR vs. Daniel Garcia and Nigel McGuinness was truly such a fun match, and it's always a treat when Nigel is in the ring. Ricochet vs. Mark Briscoe was such a blast, and for AEW's first stretcher match, they did great! The Tag Team Title match might be the only match on the card you could debate is filler, but even then it was a fun showing that emphasized the story between MJF and the rest of the Hurt Syndicate. Okada vs. Bailey was a fucking superb match, one of Okada's best defenses with the Continental Belt, as he truly felt motivated working with the excellent Mike Bailey. Bonus points for the Balatro gear. Toni Storm vs. Mina Shirakawa was really well done, as these two have a great dynamic, and as a queer I can't help but celebrated the pushing of boundaries these two engage in. This year's Anarchy In The Arena was my first ever, and holy shit I am so glad it was. AITA was seriously fucking incredible, as it truly had *everything* and it delivered every moment to near perfection. An insanely stacked match up in an already insanely stacked card, it really kept you on your feet from beginning to end, as it just got more and more chaotic, and more layers was added onto it. Excellent to see the likes of HOOK, Gabe Kidd, and Mark Briscoe show up, and such a needed and satisfying victory for the good guys. The Six Man Tag Team match was the necessary breather between AITA and the main event that we needed, and it was impressive to see them keep the crowd going. Last but not least, that main event was truly fucking incredible. Adam Page's redemption arc is truly here, and these two put on a fucking main event that AEW sorely needed after several months of Jon Moxley fuckery. Brilliantly booked, expertly paced, an absolutely fantastic show."
[5.0] "Generally an entertaining show but far too long (at least half the card being matches that should have been on TV ain't great for your flagship PPV) and the build for most of the bouts was so poor that almost nothing felt like it had stakes. Hurt Syndicate taking on a jobber tag team for the second straight PPV is just beyond dumb. Your hottest act at the moment and you force them out of relevancy by doing this. Why? Can say the same thing for Toni Storm. Ice cold title matches do your budding stars no favors. And it doesn't help that every match save one had a clear as day winner before the bell rang. When this is the case what do you do but force yourself to pretend the destination is less important than the journey -- something rarely true in pro wrestling. AITA was a goofy mess -- kind of a great metaphor for where Tony and AEW are at right now. The one match on the card that actually mattered, the main event, ended with the wrong guy getting the victory. All In is their Mania but the main events so far really look like they're barely worthy of a B-PPV. Page is primed to be the guy that beats Moxley -- he's already proven he's a fugazi top guy and nothing about him has improved. Why go back to failure when at least Ospreay represents a fresh start at a main event scene that has been absolutely dying in front of our eyes. Pluses: Crowd was hyped and building was full. Okada gave more than 50% effort for only the third time since being signed. FTR and Ricochet are actually putting in the work to be hated douchebag heels in a company where nearly every other heel wants to be cool or loved. Heaven forgive me for hoping, but are we heading towards a tag title match at ALL IN that actually might matter and feel like a big deal? Feels like ages since wrestling has given us one of those. So yeah, nothing special but aside from length an easy enough watch. Why this is currently rated the top US PPV ever I don't know. Well I do know but I guess I can't say. We all kind of understand what the deal is here, don't we?"
[8.0] "Another pretty solid showing from AEW with a couple meh matches holding it back really not sure why they threw the triple B match in-between Anararchy in the Arena and the Mens tournament finals also not sure why that match was so underwhelming with the talent on both sides of that match. The big highlights of the show were definitely the Tournament finals matches and the stretcher match. Anarchy in the Arena matches are always not as good due to the chaos in the ring meaning the matches entirely revolves around a few highlight moments and there really wasn't anything here that was on the level or bigger than the other Anarchy matches we have had, though Willow's ear being chained to the ring post was a pretty cool shot. The tag title match continues to be a bit underwhelming with really no tag team that looks like they could compete with or make for an interesting match against 2 big athletic men like Bobby and Shelton. The AEW Women's title match and FTR matches were fine and the intercontinental match was pretty good Probably give this an 8.5"
[10.0] "In the conversation for the best AEW ppv of all time. Highlights are both Owen Finals, an outstanding first Stretcher Match in the company's history, and an incredibly fun Anarchy in the Arena match. In between these classics are some of the finest wrestling you will see. Only "filler" match was the Tag Team title match. Everything else super enjoyable and showcased why AEW is the best assembled roster possibly ever."
[8.0] "[8.5/10] The strong points of this show were its Stage, its diversity, the match between Okada and Bailey, the incredible Anarchy In The Arena, the big 3v3 between Paragon and the Don Callis Family and finally its exceptional main Event, which was quite simply one of the best matches I've ever seen in my life. The big weak point of this PPV was its match-order construction. I'm European, so the shows go on very late at night, so to stay in shape I need to be satisfied with what I'm watching, and unfortunately the match order almost put me to sleep. For the opener was the match between Hayter and Mone which was very disappointing, then the sequence with a 23 Minute match with a Nigel I adore but absolutely rusty I was close to fainting from exhaustion. Fortunately, the Stretcher Match woke me up a bit, but after that we had the decent match for the tag titles. Once again, I wasn't thrilled - it was the following match between Okada and Bailey that gave me a shock and got me back into shape. After that, it was one good thing after another. I'm now looking forward to the rest of the weeklies and especially to All In, which I think is likely to be my favorite All Time show."
[10.0] "There may have been a couple of decent matches on the card, but not one single bad or average match. There were however 5 absolute bangers. This shows was incredible. Another remarkable achievement by AEW to create so many entertaining moments. I could gush about this show forever."
[10.0] "Yeah this might top 3 or 5 best PPV of the company. Very very high quality matches, from the opener to the main event, last time it happened was at All Out 2024. Literally everyone locked in, the worst matches were... just good or fine ? That's impressive really. One of the best AEW main event also. The crazier and best edition of Anarchy In The Arena, which is awesome considering the weird alliance of Bucks and DR didn't look that exciting at Dynasty, I was definitely wrong. Thank you Tony Khan for a perfectly beautiful wrestling night, where emotions, storytelling, athletism and real graps formed a wonderful alliance. All In is the next PPV, and tonight teased already Storm vs Mone and Moxley vs Hangman. The job is done."
[8.0] "It was a good show, with great wrestling and great matches. But I just do not care about most of the stuff on this incredibly predictable and LONG show (apart from the main event). Hayter was never gonna win, but had a great match (Mone wins lol). FTR should've been on collision waste of time, Ricochet briscoe was great but should've been on collision, the tag was bad idc, shouldn't have been on the card, Okada Bailey was great, but incredibly predictible, a Dynamite match. Storm Shirakawa good match, too predictable. Six man tag should've been on Collision/Dynamite. NOW, the AITA match, beautiful, good build, maybe the best gimmick match in AEW. AND THE MAIN EVENT, incredible, felt like a big time PPV match, deserved the main event, awesome stuff. Overall, it's too f'n long, most of the matches didn't need to be here, way too predictable, but we had two INCREDIBLE Matches that felt big and the wrestling was solid. 8.3/10 show imo."
[9.0] "This was a good show there was no bad matches. There was a lot of variety in the matches as well, nothing was stale. A proper main event with no run in or shenanigans was refreshing as well, just a simple match and a clean result. This is much better than previous main events where run ins have become common. The Mark Briscoe/Ricochet match was brutal. The Anarchy in the Arena, for me it took some time adjusting to this type of match as things were wild and everything happening at once. It is like acclimating to a strong coffee. For example, last year's Anarchy in the Arena, it was too wild and crazy for me, but this year I went into it with realistic expectation of what it was going to be. There was enough fun in the match that it was worth it. The main event, it was well done as usual by the two wrestlers. However with them both kicking out of each other's finishers, I don't really know how to interpret this. My speculation is if Hangman wins the championship at All In, then Will Ospreay could be a conceivable threat to him. Also the ceo vs Hayter match, with ceo winning then she wins at All In, she would have all the women's championships, I have never seen this before. So it makes for an interesting All In."
[10.0] "might've been a better show than all out 2021 honestly, all the matches were solid, not an ounce of fat in the card, all killer no filler, even the lads following up AITA did well, the main event was some gorgeous wrestling and AITA was the most fun i've had watching wrestlinf tbis year, it felt like a concatenation of looney tunes violence with ECW shithousery, but the whole card was fun, mark va ricochet was a bloody (pun intended) fun time with the best ambulance match since braun strowman tried to murder roman reigns, kazu and mike did their thing, mike is such a fluid worker and okada is an absolute wrestling genius, dropkick mid air while mike was doing a shooting star, both womens matches were hard hitting and fun, special praise to mercedes and jamie who battered the piss out of each other, specially mercedes and jamie, who kicked the shite out of each other, AITA was bollocks mad, and the paragon vs the don callis family dont hurt anyone, but you gotta feel for the lads having to follow up AITA lmao, also thank you adam page and billy for giving us a timeless classic"
[10.0] "Absolutely spectacular show. Were some of the matches too long? Absolutely. But this was finally TK returning to what works, ending a post-CM Punk era where AEW wasn't really sure what it wanted to be."
[10.0] "This PPV will definitely stand the test of time.. best AEW show this year so far. Hayter/Mone was excellent and having it open was a great decision. Mark Briscoe vs Ricochet probably one of the best stretcher matches.. crowd was really into it, gruesome blade job here by Mark. Anarchy in the Arena was no doubt the best one they've done so far..what an amazing fun party match that just can't be replicated anywhere else.. AEW hit the jackpot with this match type. Oh boy and Hangman/Ospreay to close out the show was the perfect cherry on top, all timer classic bout from these 2 to decide the All In main event. 10/10"
[8.0] "I'm mystified at the 10s being thrown around for this show. As I write this, Double or Nothing is sitting in the Top 5 ALL TIME among Cagematch PPV grades, and is the highest rated US PPV ever. THAT is taking things too far. Yes, it was a really good show carried largely by a wild (and silly) gimmick match and then a legitimately great main event. And while there were no duds on the undercard, the matches were all predictable and stuff we've seen many times before from AEW events. Don't misconstrue what I'm saying. This was a quality show and worthy of the $50 we all plunked down. But this never-ending desire to make things the BEST EVER (or worst ever sometimes when shows are duds) is just tiresome and disingenuous. We've all seen better shows. We've seen better women's title matches. We've seen better tag matches. We've seen MUCH better trios matches. We've seen better anything goes melee matches. And even though the main event was terrific, we've 100% seen better Ospreay and Page matches against other opponents. Not a single thing on this show was the best of its kind in AEW history, much less US wrestling history. So was it very good? Undoubtedy. Anyone giving this a thumbs in the middle or thumbs down is being silly. But I think it's equally silly to be calling this an all-timer."
[10.0] "This PPV entered AEW's pantheon of amazing PPVs along with All Out 2021, Forbidden Door 2022 and Revolution 2023. Simply inmaculated with 0 misses; the main event will be remembered for a long long time."
[10.0] "One of the best shows they've ever done, no matter how high they set the bar for PPVs, they always seem to match it. Anarchy match was fun as hell, The Owen Finals were tremendous clean wrestling matches. Stretcher match was a great brawl and the rest of the card delivered consistently good matches."
[10.0] "A contender for the best PPV in AEW history. Mercedes and Hayter was simply a fantastic match between two of the best women's wrestlers in the world. FTR vs Nigel McGuinness & Daniel Garcia was an emotionally charged tag, which resulted in nuclear heat from the crowd for FTR and as a big Nigel fan its awesome to see him wrestling sporadically again. Ricochet vs Mark Briscoe was a violent war, with Briscoe covered in blood looking like a crazy man. Best Stretcher Match of all time, not that there's tons of great ones to choose from. Hurt Syndicate dominated Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara, Sammy is a great opponent for Benjamin and Lashley as he made them look like monsters. Okada vs Bailey was Okada's best match in a while, Bailey has been such a great fit in AEW, absolute banger of a match. Toni Storm vs Mina Shirakawa was good, disappointed however, that Mariah May didn't arrive, I still hope the rumours she was just on holiday are true, as I think she's a perfect fit for AEW. Anarchy In The Arena, there's too much to say. Was insane. Only gripes were for me there wasn't enough blood, wanted to see Mox and Swerve drenched in blood, but that's just me, but this match was an exciting, crazy brawl full of crazy spots and loved the fact Let The Bodies Hit The Floor rang through the arena. Fantastic match, which would have only been better with, for me more blood and it would've been an all timer if Eddie Kingston returned to batter Gabe Kidd, but that can't be helped. Don Callis Family vs Paragon was in the death spot, to calm the crowd, but all six men put on a good entertaining match. And the Main Event. Simply, what a damn Main Event. Drama, Insane near spots, fantastic character work throughout. As some fans would say, and I've never used this cliché, overused word as to me it's always been cringe, but this was CINEMA. What a damn show"
[9.0] "They never disappoint great matches across the board, especially the opener, the stretcher match, Okada vs. Speedball, AITA, and the main event. I can't give it anything less than a 9 this was high, actually top-level wrestling. The path they're on is excellent, let's hope they keep it up. All In could potentially be the PPV of the year, but for now, this one already is."
[10.0] "OMG...This is an alltimer ppv without a doubt...A spectacular night in the history of professional wrestling...This is what wrestling means this is what professional wrestling means...Aew is the home of professional wrestling and where the best wrestle...I think this is the rebirth of Aew, and now it's unstoppable forever, nobody can stop them...Now coming to DoN 2025, its a top notch from top to bottom...And to the surprise very unexpected winners of owen hart cup, this is very interesting...All the matches was amazing and not even average also...Man coming to that Anarchy in the arena, its the adrenaline rush from start to finish, whole arena blew up and everyone stood from start to finish...And finally main event, this is what main event means what a performance by both of them, simply great...Totally an unforgettable night in the history of professional wrestling...I suggest everyone to watch this show, if they watch it means, then there is no going back, 100% guaranteed..."
[4.0] "Aside from the anarchy in the arena match which was 10 outta 10 btw this was a very meh ppv, Watching the buildup to sasha inevitably burying storm at all in did nothing for me, imo it was a boring slow paced plodding meandering mid PPV at best."
[10.0] "PPV of the fucking year and one of the best in a long long time - this won't be beaten for some time - besides the two 2v2 tag matches every match was great - The main event was on the best main events in ages and Adam page was a deserving winner - Anarchy in an arena was fantastic as was the Okada Speedball match -"
[10.0] "Easily the best AEW PPV since I've been watching. Top to bottom, every match delivered. A long night, but the opener, AitA and the main event were all top notch."
[10.0] "I have no words, I had very high expectations and this didn't just meet them or exceed them but it blew them out of the water, the worst match on this show was still fun. This had everything you could want from a wrestling show with half of the matches here being genuinely unforgettable. The fact that TK bet on Ospreay/Hangman that they can do their match after AITA and still deliver rules. Everyone showed out, the crowd stayed with the show from the first bell ring till the screen faded to black. The "feeling" is such an overused word but by god this is what really felt like, AEW at its best is unparalleled and unmatched, this was one of their top 3 PPVs ever and arguably the best yet."
[7.0] "I'm having a hard time rating this show as a whole. The only outcome that surprised me was the main event. I personally thought only 4 matches were really good but 3 of those were predictable. Because the others were passable I think 7 is fair. I'm not going to redeem the Death Riders because they had one good match. Overall, an enjoyable show that ran too long."
[10.0] "can a PPV be perfect? prob not. this one had a great structure with great matches followed by one good match to let viewers have time to breath until the next banger arrives. this is what aew is about, this time it doesn't need a world title match or a crazy comeback the whole company worked his ass off this night."
[5.0] "Soooo was the event good? Eh.... It's not an event i would recommend, it's way too filled with ups and downs and the highest points ain't even that high. It's also way too long and the match flow is completely atrocious, but it was aight. Kinda expected a bit more, specially of the main event ngl but i can understand why someone who is primarely an aew watcher would get a lot of enjoyment out of this. There were some cool moments after matches, like tanahshi appearing honestly popped me, but overall double or nothing as an event is lackluster although featuring some alright matches. But as a statement...is a reminder that aew focuses too much on delivering dream matches. Oh boy im so excited for toni storm vs mercedes mone......oh boy im so excited for hangman vs moxley....actually cut the irony i'm pretty excited for that one. I'm not excited to see how their tag division goes though! I think if something was told on this event was that the tag titles are on the mud and only being carried by pretty compelling characters. The female division is doing....pretty bad too, and putting both champions against eachother is such a weird fucking move, hope that means we get willow nightingale vs statlander on a 3 hour battle and is the only match of the show, that would make me pretty happy"
[10.0] "There is no such thing as a "perfect" even but this is as close as you can get without a doubt. AEW has had a ton of fantastic matches in their short history and for a lot of fans ALL OUT 2021 is their favorite PPV and I may agree with those fans but I think that PPV in particular is special for different reasons, this PPV is as close as perfection to me because everyone on the card went out to put their best work, from the opening match to the main event it was a really enjoyable show that made feel the more than 4 hours like a really short time and I know I am not the only one because it was clear that the crowd in attendance didnt looked tired or bored even when the show was considerable long. When you have a show with several matches that could be easily contenders for MOTY there is no way that this event shouldn't deserve a perfect score in my eyes. One of my favorite PPV'S that AEW has produced."
[10.0] "The feeling is restored! This is one of the best PPVs of all time. I don't know if it's just a PPV ending with and amazing 5 star plus match again or this being the best Anarchy in the Arena ever but this show was just special. It highlighted the core wrestlers the company should be built around going forward(I'd add Statlander to that list also but you get it.) It wasn't just that but the match order was genius. It was up and down but even with everything that peaked so high the in-between matches did exactly what they were supposed to do. Reset the crowd and get them invested and ready for the next high. Could I have done with both tag matches being a bit shorter, sure. But that isn't even a complaint it's literally if I had to say something negative about the show. But why would you? The biggest show on US soil for AEW being headlined by the main character completing his redemption. I loved this show. I love professional wrestling. I love AEW. LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR!"
[8.0] "While yes, the show goes for FAR too long as most AEW PPVs do, but I enjoyed this one a lot more because for the first time in a really really long time, I can say that I ended the show on a happy note. Hangman VS Ospreay is definitely AEW MOTY, maybe in their top 10 all time and my favourite since last year's ALL In. The show also has a variety of matches throughout and while I don't enjoy all of them, I appreciate how there was something for everyone. I'm convinced Anarchy In The Arena matches aren't for me. While yes, they're fun and exciting to watch, they lack any sort of common sense and are very illogical. This one was far better than the previous 2 years match though. There are matches that didn't need to go as long as they did and some that didn't need the PPV spotlight and cutting them would've done the show a massive favour. With that said, I enjoyed a lot of that, now even if it was too long. Main Event is the definitive Match Of the night, Okada VS Bailey (much to my surprise) and Ricochet VS Bfiscoe being vlose seconds."
[10.0] "This was an incredible show. Everything you could possibly want from a wrestling show AND MORE. It had something for everyone - the high quality main event classic, the exquisite (and unforgettable) women's match and the insane plunder match. It even had a really enjoyable example of tag team wrestling (in FTR vs Garcia/McGuiness) with some of the best heel work in any company right now. AEW has been on a hot streak lately and this felt like the perfect culmination of where their television has been heading. It just hit all the right notes. Ospreay/Hangman was everything I hoped for and more. Hangman HAS to win at All In. He just has to. It's time for Moxley's reign of terror to end and for AEW to finally move into it's next era, with Hangman on top of the company again as Champion. Anarchy in the Arena exceeded every expectation I had and made me re-consider the match concept (which I thought I was completely done with). I thought the match was phenomenal. Some incredibly innovative spots throughout and the addition of Willow Nightingale was a stroke of genius. She made the match so much better. Her and Hobbs were the standouts. The weakest match on the card was Hurt Syndicate/Sons of Texas - but even that was enjoyable. Nothing on this show was terrible. It was an incredibly enjoyable 4 and a half hours, that FLEW BY. Now stick the landing and have Hangman win at All In. Please, I beg you."
[10.0] "Not a single bad match on the card, not a single wasted moment. The matches that needed time got them, the show was paced better than maybe any other AEW PPV, and every wrestler showed out. AEW has come a long way in 2025 and the vibes around the promotion are better than they've been in some time. This felt like such a showcase of all the amazing wrestlers/characters/styles that AEW has to offer and showed the wrestling industry that AEW has a unique space in the pantheon of wrestling companies."
[10.0] "Whew what a PPV ! I do not even know where to begin here. So many storylines going into this, but let's focus on the big obvious points. Mercedes is just that damn good. FTR's heel work is going well. The Hurt Syndicate and MVP are what AEW needed in that division. Ricochet is doing career defining work here both on the mic, in character and in ring. ANARCHY IN THE ARENA ! LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOOOOOR Ok Nick and Matt coming out as ' The founding fathers ' in total colonial gear and music was just the chef's kiss. I thought they were about to muck it up with Gabe Kidd and have a bad ending but nooooo, they went past that and delivered. So much fun. Main event wow. After such a night, these two Ospreay and Hangman left it all out there. Whoever won I think everybody was fine with. What a treat, cannot wait to re-watch it."
[9.0] "Another AEW PPV that had its highs and lows. While the emphasis on in-ring action is admirable, it feels like they may have overcorrected by packing in too much with too little breathing room. I get that WWE can go too far in the other direction with downtime, but AEW could benefit from trimming the fat a bit. Matches like FTR vs. Nigel & Garcia, Hurt Syndicate vs. Sons of Texas, and the trios bout didn't really feel necessary on a show like this. The main event mostly hit the mark, and Anarchy in the Arena delivered its usual chaos while shaking things up by letting the good guys win for once. A few matches, such as Toni vs. Mira and Okada vs. Bailey, suffered from predictable outcomes but still brought quality action."
[10.0] "I just got back from Double or Nothing and I'm still high on the afterglow. Live shows are beautiful in a very specific way but this one felt special, which not every great AEW PPV does. With that said, it wasn't a perfect show. I personally wasn't a fan of the men's tag championship match. I don't think the Hurt Syndicate deliver PPV-quality matches and I was given no reason to care about MJF's continued tensions with the others in the Syndicate. Their opponents may as well have been jobbers, for as much focus as they were given. I didn't enjoy the women's championship match. Toni Storm tends to wrestle down to her opponents' abilities and Mina simply isn't a particularly good in-ring performer. And the trios match, which admittedly was a 100% necessary break between Anarchy and the main event, was entirely ass. Adam Cole and his goofballs need to turn heel yesterday. And both Takeshita and Fletcher need and deserve better opportunities than this. Luckily, the bad was heavily outweighed by the good. Mercedes vs. Hayter was a fucking awesome opener. Ricochet vs. Briscoe and Okada vs. Speedball both overdelivered on expectations. And Anarchy and the main event were instant AEW classics. I'm going to bed now. What a show."
"Best AEW event in years for me. Every match ranged from Good to Fantastic. The anarchy match with bodies playing was phenomenal. Everything hit its mark in this event. Dare I say this ppv was near perfect? The main event was one of the best matches if not the best match of the year. Truly iconic."
"[9.0] Probably the best AEW pay per view of all time, and absolutely a standout event in general. No match on the card was anything less than a 7/10, with the best easily leaping in 10/10 territory across the board. Running down the card. - Mone vs Hayer: Whilst I'm not happy with the result, trying to write off the entire match is idiotic. Easily an 8/10. - FTR vs Garcia and McGuinnes: It dragged a bit longer than I would have liked, but really picked up steam towards the end. A 7.5/10. - Ricochet vs Mark Briscoe: A highlight of the event. Ricochet really excels in this heel persona, and for AEW's first stretcher match it's set a high standard. 9/10. - Hurt Syndicate vs Sons of Texas: Probably the least exciting match on the card on paper, and whilst I would argue it's still the worst match of the night, that's only because of it's insanely stiff competition. 7/10. - Okada vs Speedball: Mike Bailey is so good they managed to wake up demon Okada. Absolute clinic in some of the best these two have to offer, with an insane dropkick to finish by Okada. 9/10. - Storm vs Shirakawa: Whilst I'm mildly disappointed at the lack of Mariah May or even a debut for Thekla, this was a great title match. 8/10. - Anarchy in the Arena: It was perfect. In my mind, the AitA matches are the perfect way to show someone what AEW is all about, and this one raised the bar. Nearly an hour of ludicrous deathmatch spots, stuff you'd expect to see in a cartoon, and downright insanity. 10/10. - Paragon vs Don Callis Family: A match dealt the short end of the stick - stranded between Anarchy in the Arena, a match that left the crowd exhausted, and the main event. It was by no means bad, but it was difficult to be excited for after witnessing Kenny Omega hit a One Winged Angel through an exploding table. 7/10. - Hangman vs Osperay: The perfect main event. Two dudes absolutely beating eachother senseless, pulling out every single tool they had to try and edge out over the other. 10/10."
[10.0] "All Out '21 has stood the test of time as AEW's best PPV but I think it lost the crown tonight. All Out got a boost from having two amazing debuts to close out the show, but Double or Nothing '25 was just hours of amazing wrestling all throughout. Both finals for the Owen Hart Tournament had an excellent build and both matches paid off that build. I always wonder if each Anarchy in the Arena match will hold up to the quality of those that came before, and tonight's installment was top notch. Capping everything off with Hangman's victory was perfection. Phenomenal show."
[10.0] "Truly one of AEW's best 10 ppvs they've ever done. Top to bottom just a special show. Anarchy in the arena was maybe the best one they've ever done, and it felt like a party atmosphere that you could feel through the screen. Loved the two Owen final matches, they had so much drama and built up so well as the matches progressed. Speeball/Okada was also a pleasant suprise with Okada definitely having one of his better outings since the Ospreay match at worlds end. Overall a very excellent show and sets up All In to be even better 10/10"
[10.0] "Honestly, the greatest AEW PPV of all time. I have never seen any show in my entire life as perfect as this gem. No words can describe how I enjoyed this masterclass of a show. For me, I have never imagined a pro wrestling show to be perfect. That was out of the question and never seemed to be possible, but on May 25th in 2025 All Elite Wrestling has done it. There is no bad match in this show. Actually, all of the matches are amazing which is insane. Starting with a women's instant classic between Mercedes and Jamie (****3/4). Followed by a classic tag team match which showcased why Nigel is still a GOAT. (****1/4). Followed by arguably the greatest stretcher match of all time. A bloody slobber-knocker (****3/4). Followed by a nice AEW world tag team match (***3/4). Then Okada's second best AEW Match. A marvelously executed David Vs Goliath match that delivered very well (****3/4). Followed by one of Toni Storm's best AEW Matches and a far greater sequel to their Forbidden Door match (****1/4). Then there it comes the greatest anarchy in the arena match of all time. Honestly, no words and adjectives can describe how great this match was. Similar to 2020 stadium stampede match, this match is everything. It was very creative in the beginning by the four screens and the music. Then it continued to be very fun and entertaining. It felt like a match that you watched in your childhood that made you a fan of wrestling (*****1/2). Followed by a trio full of real grapes and mfs hooping around that unexpectedly delivered even in its unfortunate spot on the card (****1/2). Finally, here it comes one of AEW's greatest matches of all time. THIS IS REAL BROTHER. THIS IS WRESTLING. A spectacular crown jewel in the realm of certified grapes. The match is exquisite in the ring psychology, storytelling, wrestling styles, and the clean as a whistle spots. Regardless of the table botch, this match is an instant classic (******). THANK GOD FOR AEW's EXISTENCE."
[10.0] "Maybe the best AEW pay-per-view... ever? Certainly the best since Revolution 2024 and honestly the best since All Out 2021. For the opener, you have maybe the best women's match in company history with Mercedes-Jamie. However important you thought Mercedes was going to be in this company, she is twice as important. Anarchy In The Arena was the best since 2022 and maybe the best of all four. Everything about it was perfect other than I wanted Willow to pounce Moxley. And last but not least, Hangman Adam Page did it. He beat Ospreay and overcame the demons and by god he might be the one to defeat Moxley. All time show. All time company. Long live AEW"
Und dann Anarchy In The Arena. Und dieser Main Event. DIESER GOTTVERDAMMTE MAIN EVENT! The cowboy did it. Es rollte eine Träne, das gebe ich zu. AEW - the home of professional wrestling. Hallelujah, das is'n Ding. Wo sind die Valium?"
[10.0] "This was an amazing show where there were no bad matches on the card. Every match from start to finish had something to keep the fans up on their feet. Moné & Hayter opening with what could arguably be AEW best women's bout ever. The women's division always had a bit of a rough edge since AEW began, but this match including Storm/Shirakawa's excellent display and Willow/Shafir's involvement in the Anarchy match tells me the they are doing great. Ricochet's current heel run has been amazing since day one, showing a side of him that none of us ever noticed and likely wished we had seen much earlier. Anarchy In The Arena lived up to it's reputation like every year, confusing, chaotic, ruthless and violent. I did wish to see more of Gabe Kidd though. Then the main event between Hangman & Ospreay. My top two favourite wrestlers in the business right now that blew the roof down. Like most people, I had my bet on Ospreay to get the win, but the promo between on Wednesday, Page's desperation in his voice sold me that AEW might pull one under us. He has become such a good storyteller in his promos and matches and I am proud to have witnessed this growth over the past six years. They pulled of my match of the night and I can only hope Page wins the gold at All In so that I can see win as world champ when AEW comes back to London."
[8.0] "No bad matches on this show, but two that I think will get a lot of praise that I was not vibing all that much despite appreciating what went into them, and it ultimately started really strong and slowly lost steam. The weakest match has to be the main event which was like twice as long as it needed to be and didn't feel like it was important despite all the big moves and sequences, which could be said about Anarchy in the Arena as well since it was the weakest match of that stipulation so far despite a few great moments. After that there were a couple of good tag matches with great talent slightly dragged down by the fact that Sammy Guevara & Adam Cole were in them respectively, as well as a great tag where everybody in it (FTR, Garcia, Nigel) was great despite a single miscommunication. Okada/Speedball is everything good about Okada's AEW run condensed, and both women's singles matches were excellent in their own ways but anchored in great targeting of weak points by Mercedes & Mina alongside great selling by Hayter & Storm. Then, somehow, Ricochet in a Stretcher match was MOTN, though with his current run and Mark Briscoe running the blade across from him perhaps that isn't so shocking."
[8.0] "A good show with most matches being good, a really good Anarchy in the Arena match, and a great main event that currently ties my top match of the year with a couple others. The tag title match is the only one I felt struggled to keep up with the rest of the card, but it ended up being more of an angle than anything, furthering the MJF/Syndicate saga and chumming the waters this time with Sammy and Dustin. The overall story of this ppv was setting up the looming gigantic card for ALL IN. We saw Omega and Okada look strong pointing toward their bout. Moné and Storm both continued their dominant paths en route to a big collision and potentially the biggest women's match of the year in the U.S. And we had Hangman winning a must-see main event with light-speed momentum toward a title match with same-old Moxley. Fun, energy-packed show with tons of good-to-great wrestling."
[10.0] "In case you've been living under a rock, AEW is on fire right now. What a godly PPV. Normally you have one dud on the card this big, that's just how the law of averages, but it's amazing how the "worst" match on the card, to me, was still a perfectly serviceable tag team match! And that's not even considering the positives of this show, starting with the Mercedes/Hayter match (even if I feel like Jamie should've won, Toni/Mercedes is going to bang), going through the Briscoe/Ricochet match, Okada/Bailey, Anarchy in the Arena, and of course, that main event. What a fucking spectacular main event that was. The Death Riders were a means to an end, and they always were. The heel shit they've been pulling for months, systematically picking off all your favourites, all comes to this: Mox and his lackeys humbled in Anarchy in the Arena, and the redemption of the Hangman. A story that has unfolded masterfully over the past eighteen months, just like the his rivalry with Kenny Omega in 2021. Hangman is the main character, and he has been for six years. And when Ghost Town Triumph blares through the speakers at Globe Life Field in seven weeks, in the presence of 30, 000 cheering fans, you'll know that it's all been worth it. There are PPVs that go down in legend for how good they are. Wrestle Kingdom 11. All Out 2021. And now, Double or Nothing 2025. What a show. What a marvellous show."
"i get it now man. its taken a whole year plus to finally get the aew vibe. the aew style. the aew vision. this shit meant something. this hit harder than i ever couldve predicted. pro wrestling can be the coolest, most insane, most emotional, most unreal shit in the world. im in stunned silence. 10/10. the whole nine yards. good god."
[10.0] "Easily the best PPV AEW has ever produced, good lord all mighty, not a single bad match on this card, even the tag titles overcame and delievered a good match, but good lord GOOD LORD ALL MIGHTY, the AITA match is one of the great things i've ever seen with my two eyes, utter chaos, sheer chaos, the absolute vibes throughout that were other worldly, and then you get to the main event, the electricity in the air for this match was unbelievable, UNBELIEVABLE I SAY, Hangman finally getting his redemption arc is incredibly compelling work, this was a must watch PPV."
