Eight years of pure mediocrity. Despite everything, there are two moments in this title history that I find atleast interesting and memorable: Paige's debut and LayCool's reign. I'm not giving it a 0 just because of that."

All talented in their own right. Yet this was the prize in an underwhelming time with 2 minute matches and embarrassing angles. A belt made for toys which no one would buy. What could have been?"

[10.0] "I absolutely loved this belt, and it's easily my favorite-looking championship of all time. I get that not everyone is a fan of pink, but I personally love it, and I think the design was really cute. Sure, it's frustrating that the Divas weren't taken as seriously during this era--I hated that too. But at the end of the day, this was the one championship that women were competing for for years, and I actually think the feminine butterfly design was amazing. It made the title feel distinct, and despite the criticism, it still represented the top of the division. On top of that, the belt had an incredible lineage, being held by some of the most talented and memorable Divas like AJ Lee, Charlotte Flair, Michelle McCool, Melina, and Nikki Bella. Say what you want about the era, but this championship still carries a lot of history and significance."

[1.0] "The 'Divas Era' of WWE is a rather unfortunate stain on WWE's legacy. Of course the reputation has very little to do with any of the women involved (I mean, there were bad wrestlers during the era but it wasn't completely any of their faults at all), but rather the insane, humiliating, disgraceful booking of the women by one of the biggest misogynists in the wrestling landscape, Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Vince obviously was booking women badly on purpose to have a laugh backstage as he usually did with small wrestlers and giant wrestlers as well, anything that fulfilled his carny desires, he would do. Moving on from that and to the championship that was apart of the 'Divas' era from 2008-2016; Uhhh yeah, this championship was just really bad. As said before, it has little to do with the women who have held this belt; Given there are good wrestlers who have held this belt, from Charlotte Flair to Beth Phoenix. Back then, the women had very little screen time for wrestling and were given about on average 3 minutes to show off what they could do and very often the matches would be slow and sloppy and have no correlation. There's also an elephant in the room which is that this title is cursed, given many of it's past holders have been permanently injured, disappeared from the wrestling landscape, and only Charlotte Flair has been able to still be a massive star in the 2020s and everyone else who has held the belt either no longer wrestles or wrestles but only does so on a very limited basis. The best thing to happen to this championship was it's replacement by the WWE Women's Championship, which is still going strong today. I'll give 1 point for some of the good champions of this belt but the only thing we can do is leave this championship in the past as women's wrestling has evolved to much better."

[0.0] "[0.1] Is it unfair to say that this belt and all that came from it was *the* reason that the mainstream perception of women's wrestling in the US was set back so far that it's only begun to recover in the last few years? Probably, but it was absolutely a big factor. It's made significantly more egregious by the fact that some of the women to hold this belt (Mickie James, AJ Lee, and Beth Phoenix come to mind) were legitimately good. Overall just the irredeemable epitome of everything that was wrong with the WWE's handling of their women in the 2010s."

The Divas title, while not the most insulting example, is certainly the most prime example, and it's one the worst of all other women's titles in WWE. At least Moolah wasn't ruling over it, but it certainly felt like she was the one booking it, and making sure any women in WWE is only seen for their body and for ridicule. Of course, not gonna deny that there were some good holders of the belt that made it mean something that ultimately led to a change in women's wrestling in WWE, but that doesn't give this belt any higher of a rating in particular."

It was made the same year I was born so it's very nostalgic for me. I personally think that this championship isn't as bad as people say it is. Yes, the matches weren't the best but it wasn't about the match quality, at least to me. It was about the way the Divas wore the title. And they wore it with pride. And I appreciate that. I know that some of them most likely weren't very happy with what Women's wrestling looked like at the time but they made it worth watching. My personal favorite reigns are Maryse's, AJ Lee's, Paige's, and Nikki Bella's. Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix were good champions too. But overall people need to stop hating on this title. It's not that bad."

The only memorable reigns were from Eve Torres' heel reign, Kaitlyn, AJ Lee's first reign, Paige's first reign, Nikki Bella's long reign (which was to eliminate AJ from the record books because of Punk), and Charlotte's reign, which was the last, but because of the poor match quality at the time, I can only give this belt a 2 despite some notable reigns from 2012 onward."

The storylines and matches could have been great with the proper mind in directive, creative and especially in the fanbase. The women who held the title are legends and icons who inspired a lot of women wrestling of today especially in NXT. The Divas Championship provide more opportunities to the Women wrestler of Smackdown in 2008, was a mistake to Unify the Divas Championship and Women's Championship because it meant less time for the Divas at the time......"

I mean, the title wasn't THAT bad, even if the girls didn't do the best performance of all time, they still went with something that at least you could call a match, specially with the few minutes they were given, thus the importance of this belt came as a result. And also, the design looked more like an accessory than a real championship."

[1.0] "The infamous butterfly belt. The title that essentially enforced the stereotype that women's wrestling was a sideshow act and not something that could compete with the men. While the wrestlers holding the belt range from great (Mickie James, Charlotte Flair, Paige, AJ Lee) to awful (The Bellas, Alicia Fox, Jillian), and most of the reigns have been uneventful and really nothing special until we got to that short period where AJ Lee and Paige were trading the title, but that was gone before you knew it. Matches were short and mostly terrible, and even when the true wrestlers TRIED, they were always brought down to a lesser level. Believe it or not, this problem has reared it's ugly head back in the women's division recently with WWE's asinine booking and strong negligence of it's presence, but even then, there are some significant improvements, at least compared to this extreme dark age of women's wrestling."

The belt represents a time where the women were an afterthought and only got a few minutes to prove themselves. It took until 2013 for the title to mean something, and that was only down to AJ Lee being the only woman who was given more than 5 minutes to shine consistently."

The design of the new women's title may not be as good as the old women's title and maybe looks too much like the men's world title but definitely an improvement over this thing with butterflies all over it. The fact that this title was chosen to survive instead of the WWE Women's Championship is a disgrace and just shows you how little WWE cares for the women in their company. It's not a representation of a true women's belt and has been designed more for a pr teen or adolescent. As the design of the belt is that of a pink butterfly. Nothing against butterflies per say but it seems to have purposely over feminized in such a way as to make it seem worth much less then every other belt on the roster. I actually find the belt somewhat offensive and do not take it seriously. There have been a lot of great women's wrestlers that have held the belt but they and the belt are so-called Divas which in my opinion marginalizes them and the title itself."
