[5.0] "AEW and womens wrestling is a crazy bag. Toni/Mariah had a MOTY contender and then this belt has also hot-potatoed so much, no one besides Toni Storm has had any impact on its lineage. Tony Khan doesn't seem to have a read on what womens wrestling could be. Most champions just idle and wait until they "have a number one contender" and then have a 13 minute match unless your name is Willow, Merecedes Mone, Toni Storm, or Kris Statlander. (which all 4 womens are amazing). AEW have such a disperse of women talent, not enough on top, and too much at the bottom. No one at the bottom get enough time to reinvent themselves or stand out, and by the time they do they have either gone somewhere else or get one reign and to never be used again. I hope Tony Khan can fix his womens division soon as womens wrestling continues to grow everywhere else in the world."

Never main evented a ppv, always felt secondary, except when Toni had it. Riho and Nyla feel like inconvenient history that Tony would rather remove from the history books. Hikaru Shida spent most of her reign standing behind guard rails barely featured, even today Kris Statlander is struggling for time to build to a world title match. Very little care and attention is given to such an important title. Hopefully things change, it's at least trended in a positive direction."

[8.0] "There's three distinct eras of this title: Riho-Rose-Shida-Baker-Rosa, Storm-Hayter-Storm(2)-Shida(2)-Saraya-Shida(3), and Storm(3)-May-Storm(4)-Statlander. The first is rough goings because of the lack of depth in the division, leading to the top workers getting little chance to really stretch their legs while the more promising younger talent that aren't ready yet don't really get to shine much, especially when Baker was champion since she's easily the worst worker to ever hold the belt, and then when Rosa finally blew off their long feud it petered out with her not even losing the title to anybody, but up until that point you can at least see the plan from reign to reign. The second era is one of better match quality but way worse planning, where the title is bounced around between different factions and talents that have good matches (particular Hayter's reign) but no real direction, culminating in the worst booking in the title's history by giving the belt to a far-from-her-peak Saraya just for a cheap pop in Wembley only for her to drop it right back so Shida can be a 3-time champion. But in the background of that nonsense, Toni Storm was building up her Timeless character into something that would genuinely revolutionize the division in a way I don't think even she realized at the time (since it started as a stoogey heel gimmick). A couple months into Storm's third reign everything really started to turn around in terms of match quality, depth of the division, and overall focus, with an entire year of the title scene being dedicated to the Storm/May storyline which culminated in The Hollywood Ending (arguably AEW's best match ever) and was followed up by further greatness until Statlander finally got coronated as a top star of the division and company recently. If they keep this up and give this title to other clear stars in the company (Willow, Bayne, Mone, Aminata, Hayter again, Athena, Starkz) this will be held up as one of the best women's titles going. This 8 is being generous since the current era is its best but I think the average is closer to a 6 or 7."

[10.0] "Toni Storm's work has been incredible and she brought so much prestige to this title. Her work overall has been fantastic and always garnering interest for whatever she's doing while she's carrying this gorgeous belt brought some much needed prestige and attention that this title desperately lacked in the previous years. Honestly without Toni it's going to be hard for me to care about the relevance of this belt so whomever dethrones her better bring their S+ game because it's a position that I don't envy. The only downside here is Tony Khan and how much limitation women has in this company, there is a glass ceiling that the women aren't allowed to break because women's wrestling in Tony Khan's company will always be an afterthought."

[8.0] "Timeless Toni Storm has really helped pull the title out from being the heatless hot potato it was in 2023. Every feud she's had since getting the title for a third time has led to not just her, but other women in the division to shine. Whether it be showing off great character work, allowing them to build themselves up through a series of matches, or using the feud with Toni to lead in to other storylines, such as Thunder Rosa and Deonna Purazzo's feud with each other. Mariah's subsequent reign was a great follow up to it, having given focus to some more of the neglected women in the division such as Yuka Sakazaki and Anna Jay while also bringing out great character moments from champion and challenger alike. From Mina Shirakawa's conflicted feelings over Mariah's change and later on, Mariah's betrayal of her, to Anna Jay's frustrations over not being able to become champion despite her growth from her excursion to Japan, to Serena Deeb developing miniature feuds with Queen Aminata and Britt Baker as a result of the championship. The influence on the storylines is palpable in both direct and indirect ways, which really helps give it a sense of worth."

[5.0] "I wrote a review on this title back in April giving it a 4 rating but since this title has recovered quite a bit from all the terrible booking bullshit last year, I'll bump my rating up, also to give respect to some of the title holders, like Jamie Hayter, like Hikaru Shida, and most notably, Toni Storm, who helped drag this title out of the trenches with her 'Timeless' gimmick and had a great run with the title, even if a lot of the consensus disagrees with that. The bad booking over the years from TK with the Women's Division is the reason this title is in my eyes the weakest world title in the company, but in a few years, that could change if the booking is done correctly. 2023 was undoubtedly the WORST year of this championship. I could go on and on and on, Jamie Hayter getting injured is where everything started to go downhill; The Outcasts storyline, changing the title too much in a short span of time for NO rigid reason, and what is genuinely the dumbest fucking booking decision of this title and the company ever, putting the belt on Saraya for the WORST and most undeserved so-called "feel good" moment in modern wrestling history. I bet TK was going to give her a very long title reign but because of Toni Storm's character getting massively over, added on top of the fact that the rightful backlash to Saraya winning the championship was so severe, TK had to hot shot the title once again by putting it on Shida who then lost it to Toni Storm just a few days later. Toni however deserves credit for helping bring this title into relevancy. Mariah May now has the title and although she's still somewhat green, her character work has been solid enough to justify holding the championship, just got to stop booking the title after the opening match to every PPV. Having the TBS championship be a bigger attraction than the World Championship is hurting this title's legitimacy, I get Mercedes Mone is a huge name but still, this title is a 'WORLD' title, not the mid-card belt playing second fiddle to the actual mid-card belt.."

Only a handful of matches fans would be quick to point out and introduce to newer fans. As of writing, the belt went to its all-time low in 2023 with some of the most questionable and lazy bookings you'd see. With incoming signings like Mercedes Mone, TK has taken the opportunity to try polishing his division."

The belt has had some issues recently with short reigns and the title constantly changing. Needs another long title reigns by a talented wrestler on their roster and AEW has a lot of talented women that would be able to do this."

Ever since Rosa won the belt in early 2022, it seems like the title is a little cursed by injuries and short reigns that forced the booking into "transitional champ" territory, which is a shame. At its best, this title still carries a strong legacy and it's fully capable of being resurrected by the right talent and the right stories (which finally seems to be possible through a combination of Toni Storm, Shida, Britt, and Hayter)."
LivingLegend wrote on 28.09.2023:
[3.0] "The AEW women's division booking at this point is in a similar league to the divas era of WWE. Tony Khan views women as a sideshow, a cooldown in between matches he deems more important. The women very rarely get promo time or any time to tell a proper story. Hikaru Shida held the belt for a year and had maybe 1 storyline. Britt got to have a few in-ring segments, which I'm not sure have happened since her reign. The title is very rarely defended, at least in comparison to the rest of AEW's 500 title belts. The matches very rarely get more than 10 minutes and 90% of the time have no storyline going in. The matches themselves are usually fine, though very rarely are they something great. With more time allotted to matches, promos, and storylines for the women, this championship could thrive. Sadly, with AEW's obsession of only one womens match per show, I highly doubt that'll ever happen. A shame, as they have the talent to pull it off."

I am not sure what happened since 2020-2021, but this title at this point is one of the lowest ranked and least respected titles in AEW outside of the TNT Title (which is meant to be the Lowcard Title anyway). It is sad that Jamie Hayter got injured at all, because since then, it has seen transitional champions being played by 2 women who have no business being such (Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida, Shida is still the best AEW Women's Champion of all time, who cares what "era" it was during, with a crowd or without it, because apparently that was the freakin' PEAK of the AEW Women's Division). As of now, the current champion is someone who is only good at roasting people on Twitter. LOOOOOL. Saraya is nothing more than the Casual Fan's Women's Champion, when AEW is supposed to be Mainstream Wrestling for the Hardcore fans."

Giving this belt to Saraya is basically the death blow, I can see what TK was thinking, giving her the belt in her home country, but she just cant go in the ring anymore and looks sloppy and sluggish. The build to this win was also very poor just like the match itself."

Still it's been affected by injuries so it's gone through some booking mental gymnastics to get it on a new champion. The past year has had some much better champions in terms of star quality where one would expect its prestige to be elevated but unfortunately the booking has been counterintuitive and we've had some clusterfuck matches even when the logical money making match has been presented on a platter."

[8.0] "With only four reigns that can be considered good to outstanding (Riho, Shida, Storm and Hayter), this title is nothing but respectable. Sadly, the booking and injuries hurt this badly on many occasions, and it's a shame that it can't be rated any higher. If Hayter have a long reign (like Shida) this could be cemented as one of the most prestigious women's titles in all of America (sorry, but Japan it's something else entirely, unmatched in basically any respect). This far, it had stellar defenses, but it needs much much more; men's championship it's filled with all-time classic 5 stars match, and I hope women's can do the same in the near future. The talent it's there, it just need time, effort and seriousness."

From Saraya and Toni Storm being the outsiders vs the home-grown talent, I feel there could have been some more arcs towards this story and it seems like there will be with Ruby Soho joining those two to become a trios. Perhaps in the future with more of this story, the matches will hold more substance than what was on display at Revolution 2023. I will say Saraya has improved in the ring from her debut at AEW and I'm looking forward to seeing more of what she has in store for us with a breathe of fresh air she's given us by turning heel - which personally, I feel fits her better than the babyface persona she had after her debut. Ruby Soho and Hayter are absolute stars and I could see Ruby Soho being the one to take the belt from Hayter. The right woman won this match and I hope we'll get to have some more time with Hayter - I feel her reign is being effected by the lack of television time she has gotten."

The title was at its best when Hikaru Shida held it throughout the Pandemic, she did for the women's division what Jon Moxley did for the men's. Dr. Britt Baker DMD gave it further importance... then Rosa got it and it went south when she wasn't emphasised and then she didn't drop the title when she injured her back; although Toni Storm was a major upgrade when she got the title, she had the Rosa hoodoo over her head, only lifted once Jamie Hayter won the title. High points for the Shida run and the quality of the short Storm run, plus the potential of the Hayter run, but how Rosa's run was handled dampens things a lot."

She's the best promo, and has improved in the ring hugely in the last 3 years with the induction of AEW. Shida was definitely a fighting champion with the most defences so far during her reign and this kept eyes on the division, but Baker, in my opinion, with weekly TV time, either backstage as a promo, or with ringtime has kept eyes on the division, which has helped keep the belt strong."

If you put your title on a wrestler who is not even in the top 10 in your division, I dare suggest that your title isn't legitimate, let alone prestigious. Luckily, the previous champion was one of the 100 best wrestlers in the world and one of the best in the division while she held the belt for a record setting year. Couple that with Riho's real good first reign and Nyla's brief time as a monster heel transition champion, and I can't say this belt has been a failure yet."

[9.0] "This is, in my opinion, one of the best-looking title belts out there. Its design is absolutely gorgeous and the rose gold is a lovely touch. It actually looks like a prize, unlike many women's belts that look more like toys. Is it a bit on the small side? Maybe. But it's hard to make an elegant-looking belt that perfectly fits women as small as Riho and as a large as Nyla Rose. I agree with leaning toward small to maintain a sleek look. So, 10/10 look for me. As for its prestige, I'm giving it an 8/10 at the moment. I'm not sure how Riho got a reputation as a weak champion who never defended the title because she was extremely over, participated in almost all of the best matches in the division's history so far, and had 5 defenses (1 more than Jericho had, I will note, and her reign lasted about 70% as long as his did). Nyla did her best to make it look important, despite her inability to show up during the lockdown, and it's a shame Kris had the flu during Revolution because that match had the potential to be a banger. And I think they probably gave it to Shida too soon, but we all know she would have gotten it this year anyway, and I expect her to do great things with it. 4 of the 5 best women's matches in AEW were title matches, and I would personally consider 1 of them (the second Nyla Rose vs Riho match) to be an all-time classic. To be honest, I think most of the women's title matches have been better than most of the men's title matches so far. And AEW's women's division is booked much more like NJPW than like WWE, which means that most of the stories in the division center around this title rather than tangential drama, which gives it extra credibility for me. It may not be valued much by the rest of the world, but it's my personal favorite title."
