502.04.2024IDriveAFordFusion4.0Edited my original review from 2/24/2024; UPDATE: Almost near half a decade into this title's existence and it just doesn't have much prestige whatsoever. I understand that there are "great" (great in the sense of in-ring work and perhaps even popularity with certain fans) champions like Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, and Hikaru Shida, but it doesn't mean this title has been amazing, in fact, I believe it's the worst world title in AEW currently. Obviously booking and storylines have never been this title's strong-suit which hurts it. Someone here said it best, this title fell to an all-time low in 2023 due to some very questionable decisions, I mean talk about wasting Jamie Hayter's reign with the godawful Outcasts storyline, changing the title too much in a short time span, making Saraya champion, I could go on and on with how this championship became a joke in 2023. Thankfully, 2023 is out the window and this championship has recovered somewhat from all the booking bullshit, although the debatable in-ring decline of Toni Storm has hurt her reign, what makes up for it is the entertainment she brings with her 1950s Hollywood star character. It's going to be interesting to see how this championship goes from here, perhaps Mercedes Mone could win it sometime down the road (not that I'm asking for that, I know some would love to see that, I could care less however), or maybe even Jamie Hayter gets a REAL feel-good moment in London this year? Chances are this title should be getting better and recover from the disaster that was 2023.

1111.03.2024venus5.0A five-year-old title and all we have to say is that it has been underwhelming. Talented performers have held the title but couldn't elevate it to higher standards. Only a handful of matches fans would be quick to point out and introduce to newer fans. As of writing, the belt went to its all-time low in 2023 with some of the most questionable and lazy bookings you'd see. With incoming signings like Mercedes Mone, TK has taken the opportunity to try polishing his division.

1502.03.2024CatboyMathus3.0The worst World women's title of any major promotion in the world. Bad booking, poor matches and seriously Stop, Shida, Hayter and Rosa are AWESOME wrestlers but they couldn't elevate this title, this is a prop and only a reason to force TK to give women a PPV match otherwise we know he wouldn't even try. With the direction it seems to go, I guess they could have a brillant division in a few years, but rn it's sad and tbh VERY deceptive to see women treated this way

1829.01.2024Moose Nugget4.0This title has been a mixed bag for me, as there are wrestlers that I'm a fan of that held this title, and there's been some really weak champions. Hikaru Shida was never the best wrestler in AEW's Women's Division, and Saraya should have never won the title. Toni Storm and Jamie Hayter have been great champions.

2326.12.2023crs2856.0At the start it was treated well with good reigns with Shida, Britt, Rosa and Hayter all being great champs in my opinion. The belt has had some issues recently with short reigns and the title constantly changing. Needs another long title reigns by a talented wrestler on their roster and AEW has a lot of talented women that would be able to do this.

3203.10.2023charliefiction7.0I'd argue that the reigns by Shida, Britt, and Hayter are all good-to-great, while the reigns by Riho, Nyla, and Toni Storm are solid. Ever since Rosa won the belt in early 2022, it seems like the title is a little cursed by injuries and short reigns that forced the booking into "transitional champ" territory, which is a shame. At its best, this title still carries a strong legacy and it's fully capable of being resurrected by the right talent and the right stories (which finally seems to be possible through a combination of Toni Storm, Shida, Britt, and Hayter).

3428.09.2023LivingLegend3.0The AEW women's division booking at this point is in a similar league to the divas era of WWE. Tony Khan views women as a sideshow, a cooldown in between matches he deems more important. The women very rarely get promo time or any time to tell a proper story. Hikaru Shida held the belt for a year and had maybe 1 storyline. Britt got to have a few in-ring segments, which I'm not sure have happened since her reign. The title is very rarely defended, at least in comparison to the rest of AEW's 500 title belts. The matches very rarely get more than 10 minutes and 90% of the time have no storyline going in. The matches themselves are usually fine, though very rarely are they something great. With more time allotted to matches, promos, and storylines for the women, this championship could thrive. Sadly, with AEW's obsession of only one womens match per show, I highly doubt that'll ever happen. A shame, as they have the talent to pull it off.

3622.09.2023No One5.0This title has truly gone downhill over the last year. I am not sure what happened since 2020-2021, but this title at this point is one of the lowest ranked and least respected titles in AEW outside of the TNT Title (which is meant to be the Lowcard Title anyway). It is sad that Jamie Hayter got injured at all, because since then, it has seen transitional champions being played by 2 women who have no business being such (Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida, Shida is still the best AEW Women's Champion of all time, who cares what "era" it was during, with a crowd or without it, because apparently that was the freakin' PEAK of the AEW Women's Division). As of now, the current champion is someone who is only good at roasting people on Twitter. LOOOOOL. Saraya is nothing more than the Casual Fan's Women's Champion, when AEW is supposed to be Mainstream Wrestling for the Hardcore fans.
3722.09.2023Paul042.0Nah, really how we went from a pretty good reign with Jamie Hayter, to two transitional champions in TONI STROM! and HIKARU SHIDA! , and now the champion is probably their worst wrestler in f#cking Saraya, I just can't understand how TK books this division, at the start of the year it seemed like this could be the best year for the women's davision, and it ended up being the worst, the women's division deserves better, putting them in main events in the show isn't booking it better, I hope that by the end of the year or in the first months of 2024 the title becomes better so I can change this rating

3903.09.2023Cal16413.0Plagued by poor booking and little time given to the womens division and even now Hayter feels like a secondary focus in her own title feud. Giving this belt to Saraya is basically the death blow, I can see what TK was thinking, giving her the belt in her home country, but she just cant go in the ring anymore and looks sloppy and sluggish. The build to this win was also very poor just like the match itself.

4524.08.2023benh23.0The belt has always had bad booking, even though they've usually attempted to have some prolonged reigns which is far more preferable than a hot potato. Still it's been affected by injuries so it's gone through some booking mental gymnastics to get it on a new champion. The past year has had some much better champions in terms of star quality where one would expect its prestige to be elevated but unfortunately the booking has been counterintuitive and we've had some clusterfuck matches even when the logical money making match has been presented on a platter.

4704.08.2023StarrySparkz4.0A wish I could rate this higher, but the title history for the belt has been messy since day 1 (but this goes hand in hand with the way the women's division as a whole has been booked). There have been several bad reigns by several women: Riho, Nyla Rose, Hikaru Shida's first reign (she barely showed up on TV most people forgot she was the Champion), both of Toni Storm's reigns, and likely Hikaru's current reign (I have a bad feeling she will be a transitional Champion and drop it at either All In or All Out, so a reign of either 25 or 32 days). The constant redesigns of the Championship doesn't help. Heck even the Championship now (the best it has ever looked) is literally a downgrade of the AEW International Championship. Very similar spaces and details in both Championships. The current Women's World Title design could walk so the International Championship could run. Ramble aside, the Championship is not the best due to AEW not putting enough effort into their Women's Division

5229.06.2023BigDave1233.0Toni Storm is good as a heel but she is very average in the ring for me and these 2 women lacked any chemistry really. Luckily Jericho was there to take their spot as the worst match of the night.

6206.04.2023Freezing Moon8.0With only four reigns that can be considered good to outstanding (Riho, Shida, Storm and Hayter), this title is nothing but respectable. Sadly, the booking and injuries hurt this badly on many occasions, and it's a shame that it can't be rated any higher. If Hayter have a long reign (like Shida) this could be cemented as one of the most prestigious women's titles in all of America (sorry, but Japan it's something else entirely, unmatched in basically any respect). This far, it had stellar defenses, but it needs much much more; men's championship it's filled with all-time classic 5 stars match, and I hope women's can do the same in the near future. The talent it's there, it just need time, effort and seriousness.

6506.03.2023Wishtap6.0I feel this match was heavily effected by the time the story had to unfold. From Saraya and Toni Storm being the outsiders vs the home-grown talent, I feel there could have been some more arcs towards this story and it seems like there will be with Ruby Soho joining those two to become a trios. Perhaps in the future with more of this story, the matches will hold more substance than what was on display at Revolution 2023. I will say Saraya has improved in the ring from her debut at AEW and I'm looking forward to seeing more of what she has in store for us with a breathe of fresh air she's given us by turning heel - which personally, I feel fits her better than the babyface persona she had after her debut. Ruby Soho and Hayter are absolute stars and I could see Ruby Soho being the one to take the belt from Hayter. The right woman won this match and I hope we'll get to have some more time with Hayter - I feel her reign is being effected by the lack of television time she has gotten.

6705.02.2023Amaury089.0Thanks to Jamie Hayter, the aew world title has gained a lot of prestige and that's what we expected for the women's division.
6802.02.2023Leth993.0Britt hurt this title more than it helped. Shida was the best champion, but she was never used properly. Riho was 2nd best. Jamie Hayter is easily the worst

7624.11.2022Rocky77.0Finally the spectre of the Thunder Rosa reign is over. The title was at its best when Hikaru Shida held it throughout the Pandemic, she did for the women's division what Jon Moxley did for the men's. Dr. Britt Baker DMD gave it further importance... then Rosa got it and it went south when she wasn't emphasised and then she didn't drop the title when she injured her back; although Toni Storm was a major upgrade when she got the title, she had the Rosa hoodoo over her head, only lifted once Jamie Hayter won the title. High points for the Shida run and the quality of the short Storm run, plus the potential of the Hayter run, but how Rosa's run was handled dampens things a lot.
