They have had folks who worked well together (say, Kojima and Tenzan) but never a real successful homegrown tag team. This has been the case since the 80's: Gedo and Jado are merely continuing the tradition of mediocrity. With the NJPW roster so depleted and AEW and WWE locked in a bidding war over talent it's likely this championship will sink even further into irrelevance even after things will return to a semblance of sanity. |
