[8.0] "The basis of the Can-Am Connection on paper was that Rick Martel was from Quebec Canada and Tom Zenk was from Robbinsdale, Minnesota, but there was a lot more to them as a team than that. They looked a like-- like seriously they could've passed for brothers at the time, they worked very similar to one another, and they both came up through the ranks of wrestling very similar despite tom being youthful to the business and rick being more experienced. They were the first team that I remember incorporating that unexpected style in to their matches. Unexpected in their opponents never knew when they were coming, where they were coming from, or how they were going to come at them or go about something, and that's the edge they used to physically and mentally throw them off their games in matches. Another thing they used to do that i had never seen was zenk who was bigger and inexperienced would usually be the one who the bad guys got all of the heat on and Martel who was way more experienced would be the ine making that fiery comeback and more often than not picking up the W fir their team. Usually it is the other way around when it comes to teams. Anyway, I always enjoyed them. I really think they would've been a force to be reckon with had they stayed together longer, especially when you consider the fact that WWF tried to use the style and psychology that Martel and Zenk used with so many other teams that came along."

[8.0] "A hack of a young tag team. Tom Zink and Rick Martel.... hell of a double dropkick and they have the best celebrations for winning tags. High fiving fans, themselves and had a short impression with the youths. Then Tom Zink was out and Rick Martel stayed to form Strike Force."

[7.0] "Some of it I will always like, some of it I will always find a bit short of expectations. This was not Rick Martel's best but it was over like whoa. This was not Tom Zenk's best stuff but it was his largest exposure. They looked AMAZING but lacked a natural chemistry. They both worked hard but it simply wasn't meant to be. Enjoyable but difficult to love something with so many caveats."

[9.0] "During their short time together, Martel and Zenk as The Can-Am were amongst the best tag teams ever. Incredibly over with the crowd and could get over in any arena, any match, with any worker. It's a crying shame they never reach their full potential and win the tag title they rightfully deserve."
