Whilst he wasn't anything incredible in-ring, his charisma was off the charts and, dare I say it, The New Day wouldn't have been anywhere near as popular as they were if it wasn't for his presence. Whilst those two were the workhorses of the group, Big E was the one who really captivated the audience with his amazing mic work and aura. His run as WWE Champion is completely forgettable however, I had to actually double check he won the title before finishing the rest of this rating. Overall, he wasn't amazing in-ring but he had the ability to be really fun to watch given his antics and ability on the mic. Rating him a 6 because if it wasn't for his mic work, he would be pretty forgettable."

Much like Kofi Kingston, he didn't prove his worth as champion. Kofi at least had a great buildup and a memorable (bad, but memorable) end to his reign. Can't say the same about Big E's."

His reign aside, his average in-ring qualities are more than made up for by his physique, his presence and his entertaining, catchy promos. I hope to see him back in fighting or managerial form one day, but in a position suited to his abilities."

A one-time World Champion who could get any crowd behind him once he got with his brothers in the New Day. That was a major breakthrough for him, as he was trying to find his footing, but once he did, he became one of the most over parts of every show that he was on. An unfortunate injury has ended his run as of now, but hopefully hell be able to continue as an on-screen character at some point, because he was must-watch television whenever he was on screen."

Big E had a very good career in both singles and tag team (The New Day) action, Big E had some very memorable promos with The New Day as well and was (by technicality) the de-facto leader of the group. His wrestling wasn't bad either as he had a very decent move-set and could get a crowd hyped up in a match, he also won singles gold and held the Intercontinental and WWE Championship, although both reigns were somewhat short (both actually being 110 days each), they were decent reigns. Of course a bulk of Big E's career title reigns came with the Tag Titles, which were fitting when he was a member of The New Day. Big E's career has been on the shelf due to a seriously tragic injury he suffered in 2022, it's sad if he has to retire because of that, I believe there was still a lot of career left in him."

I guess finally making Big E world champion was fulfilling Vince's long time coming dream since Big E debuted with Ziggler, but really. Just really. He and the Old Day are some of the most stale acts in all of professional wrestling hands down. Sure, he's alright in ring but he is just not a main-event level talent. His promos suck, his character sucks, and his look is meh at best. And even though he does have in-ring skills he can't seem to put that together to put on a decent match. His comedic acts and just general antics are the equivalent of the old adage, change the channel."

When he made his debut, I would have rated him much lower, but I am amazed at how much he has improved over the years. At first they have been very repetitive. It could've worked in the 80s maybe. Then the WWE reacted to the negative response and New Day as a heel team rocked the following years. Hilarious angles and segments gave the New Day members a new life. And Big E's variability in his character work has certainly surprised everyone. Since their big success and once New Day turned face again, they became more repetitive again and too much of the typical babyfaces. However they started to put on way better tag team matches in the feuds with Usos and the Bar. Big E definitely has some big potential as a single competitor. Ironically it's the New Day which keeps him back. They won't get split for various reasons. Most importantly: merchandise, their friendship and the success of their UpUpDownDown show."

Die Konstellation empfinde ich daher auch als arg durchschnittlich und so hat er als (kleines) Powerhouse eines Stables wohl seine ideale Rolle gefunden."

Big E, while not the best in ring talent, is all around good and has as believable a look for top champ as anyone ever has. Hes a little on the short side but at near 300 pounds that shouldn't be a factor. While I'd prefer Xavier or Kofi as champ I'll be just as happy seeing this man wrest the title from the hands of whoever would have it."

Langston is an ultra-charismatic, quick witted personality that works well face or heel. He also had great range, going from jokester to serious badass in mere second. In the ring, Big E is a freak. His calling card is power, he has some freakish power with some great agility and signatures to boot. One knocks is, E can be a bit carless and his apron shoulder tackle could do bad damage if done sloppily. Regardless, Big E's stock is on the up and up."

That's part of what makes the New Day so good -- they're ridiculous, but just credible enough to avoid becoming a pure comedy act. And serious Big E isn't exactly better. As a monster heel or a tough-guy face he comes off as rather bland, and I don't think that's a place he can go back to after his New Day run. Honestly, the best path for him post-New Day may be a heel turn, as long as he can find some attitude. As it stands, he's a perfect tag-team specialist but not much more, and I worry that some of his moves can be a little unsafe and may end up shortening his career."

In der Anfangszeit von New Day irrelevant as f**k, nach dem Heel-Turn mit Titel-Gewinn aber wieder zurückgekommen. Wenn einer von New Day das Zeug hat, Richtung Main Event zu gehen, dann wohl er."

He's a decent big man, with amazing strength and the guts to pull off some very impressive-looking moves. He's also got heart, and has shown himself to be both funny and charismatic as a part of the New Day. But when trying to play a serious role, he's always come off as a bit bland and uninspiring. And some of his signature moves, while visually appealing, are also sloppily-executed enough to be dangerous. Without Kofi and Xavier, what is Big E, really? I worry that a "dancing big man" gimmick a la Brodus Clay is in his future, and that he doesn't have the grit to earn a serious main-event push. He may have reached his ceiling already."

Kurz, bevor er in der Bedeutungslosigkeit verschwinden konnte, kam dann zu seinem Glück New Day daher - und seitdem diese als Heels so überragende Comedy machen, blüht der gute Big E richtig auf. Predigerstimme, übertrieben-geniale Gesichtsausdrücke und natürlich "Booty" - das passt derzeit perfekt und ist unglaublich unterhaltend."

Meiner Meinung nach sollte WWE ihn mit dem selben Gimmick wie bei NXT auftreten lassen. Sein Run als Intercontanantel Champion war einfach nur schwach, was an den den miesen Booking der WWE lag und nicht an ihm. In diesem New Day Stable mit Kofi Kingston und Xavier Woods ist er einfach nur graunhaft. Man sollte so schnell wie moeglich dieses Stable aufloesen, weil dieses Stable schadet allen drei Wrestlern und besonnders ihm."
[9.0] "Einer meiner absoluten Lieblinge aus dem Main Roster. Er hätte viel Potential, wenn man ihn richtig einsetzen würde, was aber derzeit nicht danach aussieht. Stattdessen lässt man ihn in einem rassistischen Jobber-Stable versauern. Am Mic ist er ganz unterhaltsam, aber teilweise noch ein wenig unsicher. Sein Moveset sollte er auch noch ein wenig erweitern. Mit 29 Jahren ist er in einem relativ jungen WWE-Alter, was mir noch ein ein wenig Hoffnung macht."

[7.0] "Big E is a tough case. In the ring, I really like him. He's got size, and he can even go airborne which is quite a sight. His finisher looks painful. It's his gimmick and booking so far that has been absolutely miserable. He comes in with a decent gimmick; a big bruising bodyguard for Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee. They break up, and just becomes a beast? I mean, they never really gave him a gimmick. He won the IC title without ever cutting a promo. The crowd got bored with him. He went from IC champ, to losing it, to almost off the main roster. Then, we get a glimmer of hope. Xavier Woods, in a white suit, comes out demanding Big E and his tag partner Kofi start taking what they want. Then, they're off TV for a month. They come back as three guys who "love to have fun". The crowd cannot stand it. I like Big E, and I think he does have some hidden charisma, but for the time being, he's not going anywhere in terms of creative."

I think the fact that he is part of "The New Day" is encouraging him to do better than what he usually does, because I think that Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and himself make a very good team. Another rater said that you don't see much of him in the ring, and that's what I mean by he's not able to use his muscle properly."

Ich bin grundsätzlich schon kein Fan von traditinoellen Powerhouse-Wrestlern (also langsamen, großen und starken Wrestler, die nur Impact-Moves haben und nicht wirklich beweglich sind). Klar ist er weder groß, noch absolut unbeweglich, aber er liefert halt auch nicht wirklich gute Impact-Moves (sein Finisher ist ja schon ein bisschen wirkungslos), dazu kommt dann, dass er auch nicht gerade charismatisch ist oder gute Promos hält. Er ist halt jemand, den man 2 Wochen nachdem man ihn nicht mehr gesehen hat auch schon vergessen hat."

Charisma hat er leider nicht so viel und an ein Mic darf man ihn sowieso nie lassen, obwohl ich ihn bei den Backstage Segmenten ziemlich lustig finde. 1, 5/5"

However, his matches tend to be very boring - he doesn't do much besides jumping on his opponent, running clotheslines, and his finisher - and he doesn't have much charisma, but that's not his fault. His Twitter is absolutely brilliant and the guy himself has shown that he's full of personality, so the WWE must be doing something. You can't instantly lose all your wit the moment they turn on the camera. I'm giving him 7 points because he's stong, has a great personality he REALLY needs to show on TV, and his NXT work was actually pretty good, even though I wish he'd step up his main roster game."

Mic/Charisma: 2, 5/5 Hin und wieder deutet er ganz gute Skills am Mic an, aber insgesamt kann er auch hier nicht aus der breiten Masse herausstechen. Insgesamt ist Big E ganz in Ordnung, geht aber als Singles Wrestler trotz guter Statur im Roster unter. Das Stable um Kofi und Woods hätte ihm sicher gut getan!"

[6.0] "Awkward at times but this is all due to wwe's lack of direction for plenty of their talent and trust me big e could have gone way much further than his current position, he could've gone way over with the fans using his nxt gimmick 5 but no he had to debut as dolph's bodyguard which kinda worked but not the best way, over time he got on his own and never had brought anything to raw other than the hand powder, big e's mic skills always made me cringe, this guy cant come off as a heel to me he's too liked he just doesnt have the personnal bodyguard aspect in him i see him as a likeable dude but still that doesnt justify why his promos have to sound like a southern preach, ever since the russev fiasco it goes to show wwe has lost hope in big E. So much for the "nxt" title meaning anything. 6/10 his matches are at times interesting but he never fully impressed me."
[7.0] "WWE might be one of the most complete companies. Their wrestlers have been criticized by their in-ring ability and the company's booking hasn't been the best. However, the company may have the best characters with the best mic skills and charisma. For that reason, we can not expect the company to take a independent promotion-type of turn and only promote skinny high-flying wrestlers. They need good in-ring skills but also good characters for their stories. They need people like Big E Langston. He's a big guy with an original "dominant force" style of gimmick who possesses nice mic skills and charisma and is quite athletic for someone with 130kg (290lbs) (heavier than Batista and Mason Ryan, more athletic than both of them together). WWE needs big guys, small guys, luchadores, dark goth guys, normal guys, funny guys.. they need characters and Big E is a valuable option for a big guy. His experience in the main roster might not be the best but I advice you to watch some of his NXT work to see his potential."
[7.0] "A very good wrestler for a big guy. The few promos that he's had came off as awkward and forgettable. He can fix his problems with the mic. I really enjoy watching him in the ring, but he isn't doing a whole lot since his IC title reign. Hopefully the WWE will do something good with him."

[4.0] "Muskelbepackt und gedrungen war er bei NXT noch der Hecht im Karpfenteich und durfte sich sogar von King Kong Bundy den Five-Count ausleihen. Jetzt, auf der etwas größeren Bühne, zeigt sich jedoch immer mehr, dass gesprühte Intensität ohne entsprechende charismatische Begleiterscheinungen nicht funktionieren kann. Zudem stört mich ein extrem schwaches Selling und eine pasenweise grasgrüne Motorik, welche seinem Körperbau überhaupt nicht gerecht werden will. Wenn ein runderneuerter Barrett bei Extreme Rules gegen Biggy vom Publikum gnadenlos abgefeiert wird, dann kann man sagen, dass der Ex-Langston ganz weit weg vom Next Big Thing und ganz nah dran am Next Random Rhyno einzusortieren ist."
[5.0] "Wirkt irgendwie wie ein belangloser Heavyweight Wrestler. Versteht mich nicht falsch ich finde das er durchaus ein gutes Match worken kann und dabei wirklich gut aussieht aber ihm feht irgendetwas um aus der Masse heraus zu stechen. Mic Work? Naja!"

He's very short but looks about as wide as he is tall. This guy is basically Ahmed Johnson without the height. One of the worst to make it to the WWE main roster in a long time."

Das Moveset muss gar nicht so riesig sein (obwohl seins auch nicht wirklich schlecht ist) wenn die Moves die er zeigt ihre Wirkung in der Matchgeschichte haben. Fazit: Big E. Muss noch gar nicht alles können er kann sich noch entwickeln."

Sein look gefällt mir persönlich nicht besonders, am Mic habe ich ihn auch noch nicht sehr oft gesehen. Alles in allem, wenn er ein gescheites Gimmick bekommen würde, ein anderen look, und er auch mal ein wenig mehr sprechen dürfte, sehe ich in ihm einen zukünftigen Main Eventer."

[8.0] "I'm a fan. He's improving very quickly and has all the tools to be the next big thing. He comes off as pretty well practiced in the ring, a few kinks here and there but nothing serious. Along with a bit more expansion of his moveset he could be great. Now that he has the IC title hopefully he will get more mic time, he has shown he is adept at it in NXT."

[7.0] "Mit seiner Beeindruckenden Statur und Wrestlingskillz, die mir nicht weh tun beim zuschauen ist er ein angenehmer Farbtupfer im WWE Programm. Trotzdem hoffe ich nicht, dass es dauerhat für ganz oben reicht, denn dafür sehe ich ihn nicht als unterhaltsam genug. Aber aus ihn könnte ein guter Midcarder werden."
[9.0] "I think all of us sensed that WWE would turn Big E Langston face eventually and it was a smart move by WWE to make that face turn happen because just like how Big E was a hell of a face in NXT and got over with the crowd so well there, I think he without a doubt has the ability to get over with WWE crowds everywhere to that same extent with or without the 5 count shtick he had in NXT! Not only that but ever since Big E turned face recently, more people are starting to gravitate to him and care about him which is slowly proving my point of how good of a babyface he really is! Sooner or later you'll see more and more people care about him a hell of a lot more than they did when his face turn happened and rightfully so! Ever since I felt he improved a whole lot more on every one of his qualities in March 2012 when he was still in FCW, Big E has shown me that he without a doubt deserves to be on the WWE's main roster where he is right now! He's such a great powerhouse in the ring beyond belief, his look has become more impressive than before, he's good as a heel too but he's really one hell of a babyface! Big E is awesome!"

Das 5 Count Gimmick bei NXT war ganz cool, würde so oder so änlich im Maintoster aber wohl nicht funktonieren. Trotzdem sollte man sich etwas neues für Langston überlegen, da das Momentum nach dem Split von Ziggler leider schon wieder verflogen ist."
[8.0] "Guter Mann. Ist für seine Größe unheimlich schnell und athletisch, was man schon daran sieht, dass er fast nach Belieben durch den Ring fliegen kann. Dazu kommt sein durchaus vorhandenes Charisma und brauchbare Mic-Skills, die er zumindest bei NXT schon das ein oder andere Mal unter Beweis gestellt hat. Keine Frage, richtig eingesetzt und mit ein bisschen mehr Erfahrung ist Big E. Langston ein zukünftiger WWE-Main Eventer."
[2.0] "Ich möchte ihn in den Hauptshows einfach nicht sehen, er hat kaum Charisma, und ist im Ring ziemlich limitiert. Wenn er meint seinen Einteiler runterziehen zu müssen, ist das für mich Fremdschämen pur."
[6.0] "Wenn ich ernst sein darf, ist er nicht so schlecht wie er von manchen dargestellt wird. Er hat sich in der letzten Zeit sehr verbessert was die Ring-Fähigkeiten betrifft und er weis wie man eine Crowd in Stimmung bringen kann (siehe NXT), am Mikrofon muss er meiner Meinung nach noch etwas arbeiten sowie an den Gesichtsausdrücken die manchmal etwas merkwürdig sind. Eine 6 ist aber definitiv drin."
[9.0] "Langston has proved why he has staying power in the WWE. He is a brilliant powerhouse, who recently has shown that he does have a technical game. His matches are insanely physical, and this man is the future of the WWE. He reminds me of a modern Farooq actia;;y."
[5.0] "Der Bub hat Kraft... aber auch mehr? Den ein oder anderen netten Move hat er mit drin, so richtig überzeugt hat er mich noch nicht; weder im Ring, noch in seinen Rollen. Bonuspunkt für seine "ich-trag-mal-schnell-AJ-weg"-Nummern, das bringt er irgendwie gut rüber."
[7.0] "UPDATE: Mitlerweile kann man schon mehr über Langston schreiben. Hat schon ein paar saubere Matches gegen Del Rio gehabt und kann auch in normalen Matches anstatt Squashes in den Main Shows überzeugen. Aktuell scheint es auf einen Split hinzudeuten, schrie ihn doch AJ wiederholt nieder nachdem er 2x gegen Del Rio verlor. Ist aktuell auch noch NXT-Champion. Auch am Mic ist er unterhaltsam und bringt neben ernsthaften Zügen auch den ein oder anderen lustigen Witz über die Lippen. Ob der "Five-Count" von NXT auch mal ins Mainroster übertragen wird, wenn er als "Monster" durchstartet, wird man sehen. Mann für die Zukunft."
[8.0] "Ich halte viel von Langston. Gerade bei NXT überzeugt er mich Woche für Woche mit guten Matches und einer tollen Ausstrahlung. Diese Punktzahl hat er zwar eigentlich noch nicht verdient, aber sein Potential verspricht viel für die kommenden Jahre."
[5.0] "Bis jetzt bin ich von Big E noch nicht sonderlich beeindruckt. Liegt warscheinlich auch daran, dass er noch kein einziges Mal ein Mic in der Hand hatte. Im Ring solide, aber auch keine Offenbarung. Mal sehen wie es für ihn weitergeht."
[8.0] "also wer Big E mit unter 5 Punkten bewertet hat noch kein längeres Match von ihm gesehen, ursprünglich dachte ich natürlich das er nur ein Kandidat fürs Main Roster ist aufgrund seines Körperbaus, aber dann hab ich ihn genauer angeschaut, zieht bei NXT als Champ Pops wie kein anderer und liefert auch wirklich starke Matches ab, erinnert vom Stil her sogar ein bisschen an japanische Strongstyle-Catcher."
[2.0] "Da waren ja selbst Ezekiel Jackson und Ahmed Johnson besser gewesen als der Kerl. Alles in allem einfach 'ne ziemlich langweilige Erscheinung - da nützt es auch nix, dass man 'n Körper hat wie 'n mit Walnüssen gefülltes Kondom."
[2.0] "Ich sehe nicht, was viele hier in ihm sehen. Es hilft auch nicht, dass die Kommentatoren ihn schon als "future world champion" abfeiern. Kaum Charisma, schlecht im Ring, mieser Ringanzug und schlechtes Thema."
[4.0] "Kann nicht viel über ihn sagen , nur dass ich ihn mal gerne in einem offiziellen match bei Raw oder SmackDown sehn würde und nicht gegen Gegner wie Chamacho"
[6.0] "Ein richtiges Powerhouse, was aber ziemlich beweglich ist. Ich bin gespannt was man mit ihm vor hat. Das einzigste was zur ganzen Erscheinung nicht so passt, ist sein Gesicht. Der Körperbau ist beeindruckend, aber dann so ein Babyface. So ählich war es bei Bobby Lashley auch, aber erst mal abwarten wie sich Big E. entwickelt, deshalb aktuell die 6 Punkte."
[9.0] "Hat definitiv eine große Zukunft in der WWE, er beeindruckt mich weit mehr als RyBERG. Schöner Finisher, technisch anspruchsvolles Moveset (für einen Fleischberg) und strahlt wahnsinnig viel aus. Die Idee mit dem 5-Count ist zwar nicht neu, aber passt zu ihm und wurde auch schon lange nicht mehr verwendet (glaub Umaga war der letzte (R. I. P. )). Wenn er an seinen MicSkills noch arbeitet, ist er einer der ganz großen (nicht nur auf die Muckis bezogen). Jedoch hat er im Moment eine krasse Wirkung auf mich und er macht auch keine Fehler, so dass er seine ersten 9 Punkte bei Cagematch von mir bekommt. HAHA in 10 Jahren werde ich zurückdenken wenn der Junge tausende Wertungen hat und schon eine große Karriere hinter sich, dass ich die erste 9-Punktemarke gegeben hab^^."
[8.0] "Bisher hab ich nur seine Squashmatches gesehen, aber obwohl sie sehr kurz waren hat man viel von seiner Dominanz spüren können. Außerdem macht er einen recht sicheren Eindruck. Hoffentlich schafft er es in der WWE bis in die Main Events!"
[6.0] "Big E Langston is a great powerhouse. He has worked so hard to improve and it definitely shows. He is powerful, and agile. Not only that, but he can actually wrestle. I see a bright future for him."
