I enjoyed his ground work, lots of handstand into knee drops that you saw a wealth of in the 80's (hmm! ). He wasn't just a "stand around and barely do anything" guy, he actually had watchable matches in the McMahon 1970's! His commentary style is hilarious & the misuse of singular and plurals is just... amazing. A notably good booker and quite the visionary - I mean he's the inventor of the Royal Rumble, that alone speaks the loudest of volumes. Without his creative mind, the WWF I think would have been a far lessor product as a whole throughout last century. While he was notable as the "first" Intercontinental Champion, technically it was Ted DiBiase; as the "North American" championship was simply renamed and there was no "tournament in Rio de Janeiro", wrestling food for thought. Vital to North American professional wrestling, but avoid that Gerald Brisco feud. |

Ganz ehrlich, würde es nicht diese bescheuerte Mentalität geben, dass Männer als Opfer solcher Vorgänge ja nicht wirklich zu bedauern sind, dann hätte der Kerl schon lange nichts mehr zu lachen gehabt. |

Erstere waren für meine Begriffe grottenschlecht, letztere dafür umso eindrucksvoller (insbesondere das berühmte Match gegen Sgt. Slaughter). Als Stooge war er in der Attitude-Ära dann leidlich unterhaltsam, gelegentlich aber auch recht nervig. Ebenfalls in Betracht zu ziehen ist sein gewaltiger Einfluss hinter den Kulissen (u. a. der gängigen Meinung nach die Erfindung des Royal Rumble-Konzepts) und seine Einsätze als Special Referee (u. a. in den Main Events von Wrestlemania 1 und Wrestlemania 11), bei denen er den prominenten Gast-Wrestlern dabei half, sich nicht zu blamieren. Insgesamt lege ich mich letztlich auf 8 Punkte für eine wichtige Figur im WWE Universum fest. |
