His Blonde Bombers team with Ray Stevens has been described as one of the best of the decade. He went on to have a bunch of singles and further tag team success in San Francisco before joining WWE."

Pattersons main event booking style influenced a TON of WWFE main events over the years so a lot of the best ppv matches can be attributed to him. He does have a black cloud of a sketchy and murky personal life behind the curtains and who knows how much is true? Or just internet gossip?"

He is a Legend for that, as well as for his role behind the scenes in the WWF/WWE, as he is the one given credit for coming up with such ideas such as the Royal Rumble. He was also the first ever WWF/WWE Intercontinental Champion. He is a rightful historical figure to pro wrestling."

[9.0] "After finally seeing some more "peak" Pat Patterson, I have opted to bump his rating up. His selling style was kind of goofy but he took great bumps. I enjoyed his ground work, lots of handstand into knee drops that you saw a wealth of in the 80's (hmm! ). He wasn't just a "stand around and barely do anything" guy, he actually had watchable matches in the McMahon 1970's! His commentary style is hilarious & the misuse of singular and plurals is just... amazing. A notably good booker and quite the visionary - I mean he's the inventor of the Royal Rumble, that alone speaks the loudest of volumes. Without his creative mind, the WWF I think would have been a far lessor product as a whole throughout last century. While he was notable as the "first" Intercontinental Champion, technically it was Ted DiBiase; as the "North American" championship was simply renamed and there was no "tournament in Rio de Janeiro", wrestling food for thought. Vital to North American professional wrestling, but avoid that Gerald Brisco feud."

[9.0] "Incredibly reliable for good to great performances and often had live crowds in the palm of his hands. Could work as the most beloved face or the most hated heel in the San Francisco area. Unquestionable impact on the WWE. If there were more footage and interest in his past work, he'd be up there with the best from his era."

[10.0] "Pat Patterson is a true legend. A fantastic worker influential to this day. A huge star in San Francisco. The architect next to Vince McMahon of the WWF's 1980s expansion. A tremendous agent. His LGBT role might be a little overstated, and the supposed scandals were pretty much proven wrong or didn't have any evidence to begin with. As long as this stays that way, that's how he should be judged. And he had one of the best punches ever."

[0.0] "Good wrestler, and an important wrestler for LGBT representation, but the man has been involved with sex scandals ranging from molestation of young men, to reports of sexual harassment from wrestlers. In a Roddy Piper shoot, there's an uncomfortable moment when Piper talks about Patterson, and hating him, but he doesn't talk in detail. It's obviously painful, and uncomfortable to watch, and I think I know why."
