[0.0] "How this guy has an 8.38 rating is unreal to me, very average worker (although he can definitely sell) big "moves" and his matches are full of way too much theatrics that always make them worse. He has a lot of bad habits (rarely sells limb work, Ospreay special) and an uninteresting moveset. His matches with Ospreay are some of the most overrated matches this decade too"
[7.0] "To be honest, I wasn't sure about him when I first saw him. I thought he was slightly overrated and that he needed people like Will Ospreay to carry him to a good match or do most of the heavy lifting. After getting to watch more of him though, I have to say that I was dead wrong. He is very over everywhere he goes, and his presentation has only improved over the years. He performs well in the big time situations and is always a very reliable wrestler. I also like his way of just bumping his ass off for everybody, whether that's to make them look strong, gain great babyface sympathy or both, although I do think he over exaggerates a lot of times with some of these spots to the point where they look way too fake. He still has a lot to improve but I doubt that it will take him a long time to get there. I'm still not 100% sold on him though, but I might be at some point, and I hope that will be the case."
[9.0] "Oku is one of the best wrestlers in-ring active today. His workrate and consistency are really impressive. His presentation is great, Amira is the best manager active on the indies, he consistency puts on big matches. There's a reason that RevPro always go back to him as champ over the last few years and that he got Osperay's last indie match. The only thing that holds him back for me is backstage promos, they're inconsistent and sometimes cringey. In-ring promos he can play off the crowd well enough to make up for it, but he needs to step up a level with some of these backstage segments."
[6.0] "Around last year I have had Michael Oku rating as an eight and I definitely believed in him however his recent work was just a little above average which is disappointing for someone who can be much better"
[9.0] "The Oku hate is insane. This man had the MOTY with one of the best wrestlers in the sport today, and barely anyone bats an eye. Everyone underrates him. His best attribute is most definitely his bumping, but he also is very athletic and can carry a match against someone who isn't as good. Get this man a contract with NXT and let the world see what he can do."
[6.0] "I'm unsure what it is, everything about what I enjoy within wrestling should dictate that I love Oku, yet I don't. His best attribute is definitely his bumping, he's fantastic at taking big hits and truly making you think he's genuinely out of it, yet when it comes to his actual offense I don't find myself particularly engaged with his work, a fine wrestler but that is about it to me personally."
[3.0] "How this guy has an 8.38 rating is unreal to me, very average worker (although he can definitely sell) big "movez" and his matches are full of way too much theatrics that always make them worse. He has a lot of bad habits (rarely sells limb work, Ospreay special) and an uninteresting moveset. His matches with Ospreay are some of the most overrated matches this decade too."
[9.0] "Michael Oku is one of the best wrestlers of this generation. Very athletic and technical wrestler. Master of the half crab. He puts a lot of work in the ring and is a great seller. Hope to see him on a national stage soon"
[7.0] "One of the few wrestlers who make it worth going to British shows post-Pandemic. Emotive like nobody else, a sublime seller and one of the most empathetic faces I've ever seen. Revision April 2024: Isn't working quite as well as he was - he's being booked as more dominant and it really doesn't suit him."
[10.0] "Best babyface in the world right now. He just gets it. Super athletic and he sells like a champ, and his facial expressions are always dead on. His combination with Amira is one of my favourite acts in all of wrestling, and he's young so he's just gonna keep getting better. Britwres is in good hands!"
[8.0] "Much like Connor Mills, his former tag team partner in Destination Everywhere, Michael Oku is not going to impress anyone with his physique, But also like Mills, Oku makes up for it with very strong in-ring work. His selling is a bit exaggerated for my tastes, but there is a lot to like about Oku."
[10.0] "Had my MOTY of 2021 and my top match of 2022 (so far) amazing at both singles matches and tag team matches with Connor Mills. A great story telller in the ring and is very consistant, one of the UK's top wrestlers."
[9.0] "This man is extremely talented, and nuanced with his selling. His match with Ospreay from earlier this year stands up as one of the best because it involved Oku's family as well as his quest for the gold. He is the future of British wrestling and the man who should take the Rev-Pro title from Will."
[7.0] "I like Oku a lot, when you see him in person he has a lot more charisma than what comes across on the screen. An important part of Rev Pro in 2021 as they come out of the pandemic."
[9.0] "Since I first saw The OJMO at a small show a couple of years ago I have been incredibly impressed by his athleticism, wrestling ability and ability to work a good match with anyone. A couple of years ago I saw him in a match against Cara Noir, which is perhaps the best match that I have ver seen live. Winning the British J Cup should be just the start for him."
[8.0] "For a person that has only been wrestling for two years, Michael Oku/ The OJMO is ridiculously good. As someone else said under me, he is obviously very passionate and committed to becoming a great wrestler if his matches are already so good. This man has the potential to be a 10 and to be a top star in the wrestling world."
