I much prefer his use of the Canadian Destroyer than anyone else's for the most part. Looks like a trillion bucks, and wrestles phenomenally well. He was also probably the best character of the early X-Division as well."

[7.0] "If Petey had a nickel from everyone who has done a Canadian Destroyer... He'd have a s***load of nickels. Is Petey one of my favorites? No. But, I do enjoy his work, especially his classics with the likes of Sabin/Styles/Daniels in the X Division of TNA. I do feel it's a bit unfair that people try to tarnish his legacy, due to him popularizing the Destroyer. He couldn't have predicted that the Destroyer became overused to the level of other famous former finishers, including the Superkick, DDT, and Piledriver. I will close by saying, if someone using a former finisher "takes you out of it/suspends your disbelief" because it pops up for a near-fall... You're not being the right type of wrestling fan."

Can you believe that the innovator of the Canadian Destroyer was retired for a few years because NO ONE WANTED HIM? ! This industry makes little sense sometimes, but one thing that does make sense is Petey's lasting legacy in making the Canadian Destroyer one of the coolest moves in wrestling."

[6.0] "The man who popularized the Canadian Destroyer. We now see that move overused by just about half of wrestlers on the planet today & the industry is worse for it. I never understood why wrestling fans were so captivated by it when it was first being introduced to us by Petey. His version specifically makes little logical sense. I know you can make the argument that an Irish Whip is also pretty illogical... but I don't know. I just found it always took me out of a match. Aside from his place in history with that one move, Petey helped bring prestige to the X-division. His run as Little Poppa Pump did him no favors & he's not a personal favorite of mine."

[8.0] "Petey was great as a member of the X Division. Good technical wrestler with some high-flying skill mixed in. His finisher, the Canadian Destroyer, may have defied the laws of physics, but it certainly was a crowd-pleaser anyway. Never a powerhouse on the mic, but he did have a good presence about him that made him believable as the captain of Team Canada. Never got why TNA let him go (though he was brought back about once a year for One Night Only tapings), but he did well on the indy scene before retiring last year."
