20.07.2026 | txmboi667 | 8.0 | Somehow a guy that still counts as underrated. Petey was an absolute joy to the X-Division with great in ring skill and some great moves and style (Besides obviously the Canadian Destroyer of course). He was a great heel with pretty great heel charisma, especially as basically the guy of Team Canada, and he was a solid promo, although not always as that was definitely apparent after Team Canada broke up. Lil Petey Pump was amazing though. Kinda wish TNA had done way more with him instead of letting him fade away like this. He's definitely showing his instinct and skill even after retirement, especially as a road agent for WWE these days. Always loved Petey and loved seeing anything from him.
17.06.2026 | crs285 | 8.0 | One of the innovators in the early TNA X-Division who doesn't get enough respect. Consistently put on great matches whether solo or with Team Canada. Was unique when he was doing the Canadian Destroyer compared to now when everybody does it.

27.05.2026 | Red Mage Riot | 8.0 | The innovator of one of the most divisive moves in wrestling, but if you move beyond his finisher, you find a rock-solid cruiserweight wrestler who truly helped to push innovation in the high-flying style forward in the early 00's. Definitely underrated because most of his best work is in TNA during a pretty mid period in their history, he probably deserves a re-evaluation.

14.02.2024 | mxkami | 7.0 | If Petey had a nickel from everyone who has done a Canadian Destroyer... He'd have a s***load of nickels. Is Petey one of my favorites? No. But, I do enjoy his work, especially his classics with the likes of Sabin/Styles/Daniels in the X Division of TNA. I do feel it's a bit unfair that people try to tarnish his legacy, due to him popularizing the Destroyer. He couldn't have predicted that the Destroyer became overused to the level of other famous former finishers, including the Superkick, DDT, and Piledriver. I will close by saying, if someone using a former finisher "takes you out of it/suspends your disbelief" because it pops up for a near-fall... You're not being the right type of wrestling fan.

Can you believe that the innovator of the Canadian Destroyer was retired for a few years because NO ONE WANTED HIM? ! This industry makes little sense sometimes, but one thing that does make sense is Petey's lasting legacy in making the Canadian Destroyer one of the coolest moves in wrestling. |

07.08.2019 | KyleEnjoysWrestling | 6.0 | The man who popularized the Canadian Destroyer. We now see that move overused by just about half of wrestlers on the planet today & the industry is worse for it. I never understood why wrestling fans were so captivated by it when it was first being introduced to us by Petey. His version specifically makes little logical sense. I know you can make the argument that an Irish Whip is also pretty illogical... but I don't know. I just found it always took me out of a match. Aside from his place in history with that one move, Petey helped bring prestige to the X-division. His run as Little Poppa Pump did him no favors & he's not a personal favorite of mine.

23.04.2015 | DanTalksRasslin | 8.0 | Petey was great as a member of the X Division. Good technical wrestler with some high-flying skill mixed in. His finisher, the Canadian Destroyer, may have defied the laws of physics, but it certainly was a crowd-pleaser anyway. Never a powerhouse on the mic, but he did have a good presence about him that made him believable as the captain of Team Canada. Never got why TNA let him go (though he was brought back about once a year for One Night Only tapings), but he did well on the indy scene before retiring last year.
