Taya Valkyrie

[1.0] "Yeah, I think she is pretty bad. Everytime I see something from her and I feel it was good or at least decent, like she executed a move well or something like it, I feel surprised. Yeah, that shows how my standards for her are pretty low. She basically had step into all three big companies in United Stades and didn't left anything remarkable at any of them, unbeliavable. And her current gimmick is just kiss his husband, like...huh?"

[5.0] "I think she works great as a lower midcard comedy act. I was never much about her ring work, though she did have some decent matches in TNA in the late 2010s. She's pretty funny though, I'll say that for sure."

[6.0] "Her character work and promo skills are actually very good. Her wrestling skills are passable but nothing spectacular. She can put on fun matches but she's limited. 6/10 seems fair."

[2.0] "Botching machine and very annoying character work. She doesn't stand out at all, at least not in a good way. Honestly shocked her rating is even a 6, that is way too high. She has moments where he is solid in ring, which is why she still gets a 2, but most of the time she's just bad. Need another 300 words so here we go. Taya isn't good. Her promos aren't good. Her character isn't good. She botches too much. Her look is bad. Her current gimmick with Johnny where they just kiss a lot is seriously one of the worst things on TV right now."

[7.0] "If wrestling were just "Do cool moves well, " Taya would be an 11 out of 10. Her moveset is sick, and she executes them all well. And also, her choice in gear is great, she always looks like "Pop-Star here to beat your shit in, " which makes her exciting to see come out. But alas, she does have a few problems. Firstly is her selling: she's an Orton/Cena seller. Just a lot of flatback falls. If a move doesn't just sort of naturally look cool, she isn't going to make it look cool, which is you know...bad. (Though, credit to her being able to take Destroyers, including from bigger opponents, which is a rare skill for a woman in the English wrestling world). But also, and I think almost more detrimentally, her storytelling isn't particularly stand out. It really is more fun to watch of "Valkyrie vs. XXX" Highlights video than the actual match."

[7.0] "She seems to have lost a step and momentum. There was a few when she was considered one of the better female wrestlers. Especially in TNA. She seems happy doing the valet thing which I get. Less taxing on the body so more power to her."

[4.0] "Only going off of her run in AEW, and I can certainly say she isn't good. While she has the look and presence of a star, she can't put together a good match at all, nor cut a good promo. One day, I might consider watching her stuff in Mexico and come back and say how good she is, or rewatch her stuff from Lucha Underground since it's been so long since I've watch LU. As I stand, for now, she sucks."

[8.0] "Talk about a worker who adapts to her surroundings - and shes been given a variety of circumstances over the years. Her work in AAA, esp. as the leading lady of Los Perros Del Mal is foundational work - she was an outsider who not only learned Spanish, she learned lucha and learned it well. Crowds and fellow wrestlers alike clearly appreciate her. That said, her work outside of Mexico has yielded mixed results, not that its her fault. WWE never knew what to do with her, right down to having her name changed. Her Impact work was fine but never clicked quite the same. Her AEW fate remains to be seen. She could be a great asset if they use her right. She is physically intimidating, a great actress (shes really funny - smart promotions make use of this) and can wrestle multiple styles well. Whats not to like?"

[0.0] "The worst female wrestler in All Elite Wrestling. This woman is simply a horror. He fights at 0.5 speed and seems to never want to improve. That last match with Britt Baker shows that. When someone misses her finisher it's because she really is really bad. And what annoys me most about her is that she still thinks she's good and doesn't need to evolve."

[3.0] "As far as wrestlers in major companies go, Taya is really bad. Awful selling, awkward movements, zero chemistry with any of her opponents (regardless of their experience levels), and very weak and unconvincing offence. The ONLY thing she has going for her is her character work, since her displays of confidence and arrogance can be pretty good, and she does well drawing attention to herself with her facial expressions, poses, and taunts. She also doesn't sound too bad on the mic, so that makes two things preventing her from being outright awful. She still shouldn't be on TV, though."

[1.0] "I don't think that Taya is a very good worker, I tend to disagree with the idea that she's charismatic. She has also been noted as somewhat catty and spiteful outside of the ropes, which has surely been reflected in a handful of particularly mean-spiritwd tweets over the years. Update/ammendment: Taya is, in fact, an awful wrestler."

[7.0] "Taya is a very good pro wrestler. She was great in Lucha Underground and very good in Impact. The character she played was amazing and she was very good in the ring. In NXT she just could not get a break. She had bad matches with very green opponents and never got a character going well. AEW is going in the same direction as NXT unfortunately with the Jade match. Hoping she and Statlander can burn the house down."

[8.0] "She's had a great career and it isn't over yet. Taya can go in the ring, always looks like a star and isn't a bad promo. She's a useful addition to any locker room."

[3.0] "This woman can't go. Her reputation is built from almost 10 years ago when the bar was so much lower. Her best matches are behind her. She moves under water, knees are done, I don't know how much longer we can pretend the plunder she does helps even a little."

[4.0] "She has a great look, but as a wrestler she's slightly below average. I think she has declined in ring post her WWE run and now in Impact is one of the least interesting parts of their women's division."

[4.0] "I always had trouble with this wrestler, for me there are so many who are more talented in the ring and who deserve the spotlight that she has."

[7.0] "A pretty average wrestler with a decent gimmick, but kinda overrated. She needs to improve, but watching her in AAA, Impact, and even MLW was pretty fun, because she added to those women's divisions with her "star power." In WWE, I thought she'd do well, but she had a horrible run with the Robert Stone Brand which eventually led her to be released. I'll keep being invested in Taya, but if she doesn't improve in the ring somewhat soon, I might begin to lose interest."

[8.0] "A lot of these negative reviews smack of misogyny (on cagematch? ! Shocking! ) but Taya is a great live performer. I? ve seen her in a few live shows and she elevates other performers, and has just this incredible star power and charisma. She? s so magnetic. If you have a chance to see her live, take it!"

[5.0] "I want to like her more but unfortunately her in ring work is really lacking and while she has a good look, it is not enough to carry her to a higher rating."

[4.0] "She has an attractive look, but this does not actually give any advantage because she is less than average in the ring. What is distinguished about her is her charisma, her alignment with any opponent, and her ability to present a story (not in the ring). Other than that, I see that she does not have anything special to offer."

[7.0] "I enjoyed Frankie Monet/Taya Valkyrie a lot over the past year. Shame to see her released from WWE so soon when she had so much potential to fill. Great star aura, awesome personality, solid fundamentals, etc."

[4.0] "She has a great look but is sluggish in the ring to the point where I find it impossible to get any interest in her matches."

[7.0] "Fantastic character work and can go in the ring, has stalled a bit in terms of progress but hopefully things pick back up for her."

[4.0] "Franky is ok on the mic, but very mediocre in the ring. She is slow and not convincing at all. I don't know how to describe it correctly, but when she attacks, it seems that she is some kind of soft toy and does not do any damage. She is also not good at selling."

[4.0] "Among all matches I saw of her Taya had a grand total of one very good match (against Io Shirai in Stardom, no big surprises here), for the rest just a sea of mediocrity. Let's see how much the NXT hype machine will "improve" her."

[3.0] "Taya Valkyrie is not good. Her incredibly sloppy ring-work and irritating character (namely in Impact) that is done far better by others even in the company she now works for... namely, Lacey Evans. Along with Brie Bella, Taya is proof that talent is not often equally shared between husband (in her case, the incredibly gifted John Morrison) and wife."

[7.0] "Taya is someone who I feel epitomizes being a "good hand". I know some take that as a back handed compliment, but I honestly think she's very good. Perhaps not great, but very good. She has a unique look & good presence. She's been ever evolving & I think the final days of her Impact run was beginning to look very interesting. True she was relying heavy on comedy, but if she toned that back a bit & pushed her bitchy characteristics up a notch, I think she'd really get to the next level. She was just signed to WWE (NXT) and I'd like to believe that she'll get to that next level in the WWE. But considering how they view her husband, I have doubts that she'll make it there."

[4.0] "Only ever was passable when working pre-tapes with Lucha Underground or sometimes with other luchas in AAA. Outside that, nothing special."

[4.0] "She had a long reign as a champion in IMPACT, but from that reign there is very little to rescue and as a fighter it seems to me that her level is below average."

[5.0] "Looks like a star but somehow fails whenever the spotlight is on her. Her in ring work is not very smooth."
