"The largest Dragon Gym pupil, Toru Owashi was a dominant monster heel from the start, making an impact in Toryumon with memorable feuds against SUWA, Masaaki Mochizuki, TARU, and CIMA. After leaving Dragon Gate, he had a brief stint in Osaka Pro, where he led the short-lived Buraikan unit before settling in DDT full-time. In DDT, he found success as the leader of DISASTER BOX alongside Jet and even captured the promotion's top singles championship. His time in DDT also saw him embrace the comedic and unconventional side of wrestling, particularly during his entertaining feud with Danshoku Dino, which led him to explore aspects of his own sexuality. With a sumo wrestler father who owned a popular restaurant, Owashi's ever-expanding size became a signature trait, adding to his imposing presence in the ring."

[8.0] "My first match with a DDT subscription was with Toru and I'm really, really impressed with the amount of charisma he's able to bring into the traditional "big man" role. I'm giving him a 7 for now because I don't think it's fair for me to gush immediately off of the back of one match, but I'm going to actively seek out more work from him after how much I enjoyed his first match. I am expecting this number to go up. EDIT: Yeah I love this guy, lmao. Hard hitter when he needs to be serious and excellent sort of... old man who was a former bancho vibes when he's doing comedy. I can't get enough of him."

[8.0] "Owashi is good when doing comedy and since his appearances in Dragon Gate he proved that he's also good in serious matches, an absolutely underrated wrestler IMO."

[10.0] "I love Toru Owashi ! To be honest Toru is a good wrestler with a good career and probably deserve a 7. It's unfair but it's simply a 10 for personal reason !"

[9.0] "Owashi very cool man. I like his story of unrequited love with Dino, which, in my opinion, is why he constantly snaps at Hirata. I watched all the DDT for 2019, I continue to watch 2020 without stopping, and every, absolutely every match of this person I like in my own way and I believe that they deserve attention. An identical scheme, an identical narrative, but one small difference in some detail changes everything. His chemistry with Kazuki Hirata is great, he wholeheartedly hates this Flex God, but every time he gives him a chance, and in 90% of cases it is not worth it, which Toru understands perfectly, and begins to swear at himself even before the final result. If we talk about "serious" wrestling, then Toru is a pretty good wrestler. I love his match with Harashima and wish to see him in serious races more often. But for now, I am completely satisfied with his current work, which is very valuable and which keeps me at the screen. Owashi is great."
