[4.0] "Having a super safe worker like The Miz to put people over and work as an entertaining, iconic character is extremely valuable from a business perspective. From an obnoxious wrestling purist's perspective (like me) though, it means that most of his matches get forgetten. He does have some mid-2010's bangers, but in the current day, he provides very very little both in the ring and as a character."

[2.0] "A guy of marginal athleticism with awkward looking offense, fairly standard promos and a surprisingly good finisher somehow managed to have an ongoing two decade career. His moniker should be "The Accidental Superstar". He can do the basic bumps just fine but he's known to be an unreliable base which is almost as bad as shooting on someone. It requires the same level of trust. The fact that this guy kept his job while continuing to do it means he knows how to be a proper lackey to the right people. His most famous promo is him being insecure and whining about how fans and peer perceive his low quality wrestling. He does have some decent promos but if you listen to the wrong people you'd think the second coming of Dusty Rhodes or Jake Roberts is here."

[7.0] "His in ring abilities is decent at best but what makes The Miz awesome is his ability to cut promos. He might not be the best in ring performer, he might not be the most athletic but he does well in most of his roles."

[8.0] "While he has gotten the respect he deserves from the younger generation now, he is still underrated. He's ok in the ring and his promo game is universally acclaimed."

Amazing heel, but was never truly given a legit babyface push to see what they can do with him. I don't understand the hate for a guy who gives so much to WWE. I hope he can deserve his flowers by the average fan."

[6.0] "It's been awhile since I've watched anything WWE related but I remember pretty vividly that I thought that The Miz was more of a mic guy than a in-ring guy. Like, the dude's got such awesome mic skills and as a heel, I think there's a reason why people always bring up The Miz when comes to all-time heels. The Miz's prime was in the PG Era of the WWE and he was still able to get some heat constantly despite the limitations at play. However, when it comes to his in-ring stuff, eeeehhhh. I cannot for the life of me remember anything from a Miz match aside from his match with Dolph Ziggler at No Mercy 2016. That match was really good, last time I remember. It's a case where he can work someone so good on a mic that you can forgive a short-coming like. I hope he gets that standing ovation when get inducted."

[4.0] "Hes awful in the ring. Not to discredit him or anything hes done well for himself and his family but I feel that he was always a boring and awful wrestler and nothing about him was ever interesting to me other than the shoot bryan promo."

[9.0] "If you hate The Miz, you've fallen into his trap. Mike has always been a despicable heel, delivering stinging promos and a brutal dose of reality. Even the fact that he started in Tough Enough is a reason for his heel status. The Miz has been the best thing that could have happened to the Intercontinental Championship, having incredible matches against the likes of Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor, and more. While it's unlikely he'll ever become world champion again, I'd love to see him back on top."

[6.0] "The Miz is a very entertaining wrestler who can cut a good promo and be a good source of comedic relief. He's very good at promos, however his wrestling skill is not there. He's not particularly athletic or skilled at in ring working, although he has been a workhorse and one of the most reliable wrestlers for WWE over the past 20 years, so that counts for something."

[8.0] "Not the best wrestler in the world, but 8-times as I-C Champion certainly lives up to the moniker the Intercontinental title has of the "workhorse" title. He's also a Triple Crown and Grand Slam champion to boot. He did have an interesting camaraderie of allies like Cena (who was his co-champion in a Tag Team Match), R-Truth (who ended up being helped by his association), and Damien Sandow (who got majorly over as his "stunt double" and finally tasted gold with him). Not to mention Alex Riley, who likely would've never been a superstar without the Miz hiring him as a kind of "insurance policy" to help his boss keep the title. People think he's overrated for some odd reason, while I say the Miz may have the credentials for a HOF induction at some point. Think about it. A frat boy on Real World to 2-time WWE Champion? The Situation never did that. But, now I'm mad that WWE has made him a jobber again like he was after his debut. Miz showed he can hang with the best and now they've devolved him back to a dork. Miz needs to leave and go somewhere we he'll remain appreciated for the twilight of his illustrious career. It really seems like WWE doesn't care anymore, which really is a shame as he used to call himself "The Most Must-See Superstar in WWE.""

[4.0] "The most boring wrestler of all time. Nothing at all is great about him including his mic skills which is mid at best. He is living off an overrated talking smack promo to this day. I flip the channel whenever he's on TV because I just know whatever he's involved in will not be good"

[7.0] "Decent in the ring, awesome on the mic. Nothing much more to say about Miz, is there? He's a reliable mid-carder for WWE, but his mic skills are enough to gain him some points in my opinion."

[4.0] "The Miz is an interesting wrestler to rate. I've been able to watch his career since his early tag teaming days with John Morrison, so I feel as if I can rate him accurately. The Miz is not a good in-ring performer. He has no moveset and is a great example of the worst type of WWE wrestler. He takes no risks and is boring. His strengths are entirely promo. I believe he is a good promo, but not great. People like to use that Daniel Bryan Talking Smack promo as proof that he is good, but that whole promo is nonsense. One of the most overrated promos of all time. Danielson can turn into a washed shit wrestler and he would still be better than The Miz, even at his "peak." So, overall, I guess you could say he's a decent WWE style wrestler? Shit in-ring, good promo."

[4.0] "The Miz is one of the best talkers ever in WWE, he has a great heel gimmick as well but boy oh boy he has been consistently average in the ring. I could watch his podcast interviews promoting the company for hours. But when it really matters at his matches he doesn't deliver."

[7.0] "A safe and reliable in-ring workers who is fantastic on the mic. He deserves resepct for his longevity and reliability, but he is ultimately pretty boring in ring and his character work while great isn't exactly varied."

[7.0] "One of the best on the mic I've ever seen. I think he belongs at the table of the best mic masters alongside people like John Cena, MJF, or The Rock. He suits every role, from comedy wrestling with R-Truth to mega-heel. I absolutely loved to hate him; he's truly made for it. His in-ring performance is decent, which is probably what held him back from being at the very top."

[0.0] "Where do I even start. At his absolute best, the Miz is generic and incredibly boring. At his worst he is actively harmful to the quality of any show or match in which he features. If I was looking for a single example of why wrestling and the WWE has basically been in continuous decline since the early 2000's. His promos are always awful and juvenile, and not in a way that I find remotely entertaining. His ring work is often glacial, badly performed, badly structured and incredibly boring. The mass hypnosis that working with the Miz helps younger or newer talent get over is the biggest lie of all. Anyone put in a programme with the Miz is basically stuck in a negativity vortex and survival is an achievement. If he never wrestle another match again I will lose no sleep."

[4.0] "The Miz is a perfect example of all talk and no show. The Miz is amazing on the microphone and can cut some great promos. However, he's not a good wrestler. He wrestles a slow, boring pace and that's part of the reason why his main event match at WM against John Cena is considered the worst. The Miz would be better as a manager than a wrestler imo."

[3.0] "A truly awful wrestler. He can talk on the mic sometimes but people react to his promos like he's prime Ric Flair. He Isn't at all. His wrestling is truly god awful, any match that he's had that is regarded as good I never view him as the guy who made that match good or great. Not to mention his storylines are always so grating, as a heel he tries to be a whiny prick and I guess it works but not in the way it's intended. As a face he's actually better but very marginally so."

He has the IT Factor. I'm surprised how much people still talk shit about him, considering everything he has done for this business."

Miz also cuts an unparalleled promo, that sets himself apart from every other professional wrestler besides perhaps the rock. Miz, you can do it all."

[9.0] "The definition of a reliable wrestler: this guy could be the face of the company, the top midcard guy, the comedy act, the midcard dude, the tag team specialist and the mentor all in one. It's actually impressive to see how The Miz went from a guy who wasn't welcome in the locker room all the way to being the only two time Grand Slam Champion in the WWE, and it's absolutely wonderful to see. Aside from all that, Miz is a talented wrestler whose style might look boring, but in his own words: he never missed a day wrestling the way he does. And that's probably why I won't give him a 10, but I would very much rather go for a 9: he can do so much more in the ring, as we have seen on numerous occasions (like that one match against Ricochet, for example), but he chose to play it safe. Amazing on the mic, incredibly charismatic and an overall legend of wrestling."

[4.0] "Never cared for Miz. He can talk and that's about it. He's safe in the ring, but extremely boring and needs to be carried to greatness in a match. Not evolved much as a character after all these years and I've never believed in him as a main event er. Honesty I'm kind of surprised he's still there which is impressive considering most guys wanted him gone when he arrived. I guess he has that going for him."

[8.0] "The Miz is literally the art of being a jobber. The role he's in right now is simply unmatched, brilliant, and prestigious. I recently found out that he hasn't been able to get a win in the last two years, and that's incredible--he manages to look ? and good while being a jobber. An excellent character who is truly an integral part of WWE. Yeah, I can't stand when he comes out to the ring and has his matches, but he's a charismatic guy, a great worker, and he sells very hot segments perfectly. Plus, in his youth, he was capable of deconstructing the character and the meaninglessness of a spot-monkey in a match against John Morrison."

[6.0] "a wrestler who's kinda meh in the ring but extremely good on the mic, it's insane. What he can't do in the ring, he can make up on the mic."

[7.0] "The miz sadly has now become one of those wrestlers who will only sniff a world title again once they say they are about to retire. It's truly a shame, i remember watching "miz tv" growing up, thinking he was the coolest wrestler ever. He is great on the mic, his in ring skills are decent, however he will be remembered for his mic skills and his gimmicks."

[4.0] "The Miz has done some great character work and can cut some GREAT promos. The issue is that his matches have always been bathroom break matches to me. There's a reason he never gets injured. He wrestles like he's afraid to even get a scratch which is good and all but it's not going to look good on TV. He's been a charisma vaccum for a long time now and that doesn't seem to change."

[8.0] "I believe that it's always easier to portray a face character while one of the most challenging things of being a professional wrestler regarding the character aspect is to portray a heel because you need to behave that it isn't usually natural for anyone but when you're able to portray a character in such a wonderful and realistic way that you hear people saying they hate you for real like they believe you're that kind of jerk I believe that you're doing your job really well. That's what The Miz was in my childhood and now as a grown man I understand how AWESOME he really was and still is"

[8.0] "The most underrated and most under appreciated wrestlers in WWE. 2016 - 2018 was his best years, he made the IC title mean something. He's great on the mic and is pretty decent in the ring."

[4.0] "The wrestling equivalent of taking a drink from a plastic water bottle that's been sitting in a hot car for an entire afternoon. You technically received hydration and didn't drink hydrofluoric acid, but you got it in a deeply unenjoyable manner. I think The Miz is pretty much the equivalent of this concept. He's my threshold where anyone I rate lower than him is outright bad for whatever reason. I don't really think The Miz has any one thing that makes him especially bad in an objective sense. The problem is that he's subpar at literally everything. He's a very boring in-ring worker who can put on a two star match with anyone, doesn't make me engaged with what he's saying in any promo (except for a decent worked shoot on Talking Smack one time), and just doesn't inspire me beyond wanting to rate him purely so I have a middling numerical value to fill out the entire range of my scores on this website to appease the rules. He's been in a couple absolutely horrific matches, mind you. The fucking zombie lumberjack match is a special kind of bad and the Mania main event he had with John Cena was already quite bad even before his unfortunate concussion right at the end. I genuinely don't even know what else I can say, really. He's been in this industry since 2003 and has left about as much impact on me as his unconvincing and soft in-ring work."

[4.0] "Probably the most overrated wwe wrestler ever who you can count the amount of great matches he's had in his 20+ year career on one hand. His promo work has always to me been ehh to me & part of the promo ability is to sell you on the feud & when they wrestle but I just know the match won't be as good. Hopefully they continue phasing him out"

[8.0] "The Miz is a very good heel. A very cocky "I wanna punch this guy in the face." heel, Miz has all the attributes. Cocky, arrogant, snide, just the perfect heel."

[1.0] "The Miz is one of the biggest instances of a channel changer for me. The second that Miz TV segment comes out, I'm watching something else. I think he speaks well and clearly on the mic but I can't say I've ever felt any actual emotion from a Miz promo. He's just so generic and that bleeds into his wrestling as well. The only time I can ever remember caring about a Miz match was the Ziggler feud in 2016. There's just something about him, like every segment or match he has is the most sanitized and by the numbers segment you can imagine. He's literally been cutting the same promo every week since like 2009 and it never got any more interesting. I don't doubt that the guy works hard and puts in effort but he's sort of the epitome of what I think of when I think of a cringy or bad WWE segment."

[7.0] "The Miz is the emblem of the good worker who can play every role....except for the main event. Yes, even if his upper/midcarding work ranges from decent to exceptional, reaching the pinnacle with his 2016 Intercontinental Championship reigns, and even if he's believable both heel and face, his main event run sucked. Obviously it was not 100% Mike's fault (Vince bad booking shoot him in the foot), but it's evident his inadequacy as world champion. Great mic work and decent (but quite flat) in ring, Miz lacks the fisique du role to be a star."

[7.0] "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard enough. It's a motto Miz has modeled his character on to look back after it's all said & done and say: He deser...No he earned it"

[10.0] "The Miz is the total package in my opinion--incredible on the mic, solid in the ring, and carries himself like the star he is. Everything he does feels important. On top of that he's one of the most selfless superstars ever. Easy 10."

[4.0] "I greatly dislike The Miz, and the fact that this guy has been perceived as a face at any point in time is insane. His work rate has always been unimpressive, and is even below average for WWE standards. I don't think that he's ever elevated someone else and every important moment in his career has went nowhere, or went bad. His Mania match against Cena was unbelievably bad, and his shoot promo on Danielson went nowhere. I will give him credit for being a heel that I dislike because of his character/in ring actions, that has become increasingly harder to do as time marches on. In total, I think that his legacy will be protected by the WWE for his loyalty to the company, the way he is portrayed and revered by the company is not surprising due to said loyalty."

[0.0] "2 decades in the wrestling industry and I cannot recall a single Miz match I enjoyed because of his work. He's incredibly unathletic, has a very poor moveset, & was absolutely carried by the fact he is a good promo AT TIMES. He leeched off Johnny Nitro in their tag team stints, had horrible feuds with almost everyone he was given, had one of the worst modern-era wrestlemania main events ever, like it's genuinely amazing The Miz is held in such high regard among WWE fans. His best feud was against Dolph, who carried the entire thing. Baffles me onto why Vince loved him so much to make him a 2x grand slam champion, especially when a guy like Bryan Danielson couldn't be one. Now, in the twilight years of his career, he's done nothing of real note. Had a horrible tag-team reunion with Truth, turned heel again, and just makes a monthly appearance to plague the product even more. He has now completely stunted Carmelo's growth in a pointless tag team that is going nowhere. Miz is not important in kayfabe in the current WWE "lore", and he shouldn't of been important ever in his career. The most famous Miz ever got was for having a nervous breakdown in a worked shoot against Bryan, who is 1000000000000000000x the wrestler Miz is, which I think sums up Miz pretty perfectly."

[8.0] "Great in the ring and on the mic when needed to be. A reliable worker to build young talent up, has done and won it all. Could have been a bigger talent if used properly but alas! Definitely a HOF legend though."

[7.0] "A perfectly simple and solid star. His style may be safe but Miz is a very good promo and is always reliable."

[4.0] "Great on the mic, can be a good heel when booked right, same as a mid card champion, had a great tag team with John Morrison & R-Truth (in 2011, of course, the reunion SUCKED)... That's all the positives I can give you. He's a mediocre wrestler at best, despite he does his best to stay safe in the ring, which wouldn't be an issue if he could put together good matches without the need to be carried, he was an abysmal babyface (twice! ), should only be a mid card act and never become WWE Champion, and Miz TV is terrible. I need to know how we live in a timeline where this guy got the WWE Championship (TWICE! ) but guys like Mr. Perfect, Terry Funk, Roddy Piper, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, etc. never held it once."

[10.0] "The Miz is one of my favourite wrestlers ever and is one of the greatest examples of a WWE Superstar ever. A real showman who plays into the entertainment incredibly well, while also having great matches. His accolades speak for themself, he has earned every one of his title reigns in WWE. The first ever 2-time Grand Slam Champion, 8-time Intercontinental Champion, Wrestlemania Main Eventer... you name it, he's won it. An incredible promo who always delivers and can play a serious or comedic character, The Miz is one of the most reliable wrestlers in WWE, who has had an incredible career."

[5.0] "The Miz has had some good moments in his career, and I've never really disliked the guy. But he's just horribly overrated--everything about him is mediocre, and that's okay. However, his run for the Intercontinental title in 2016 and 2017 was truly superb, but there are too many lows in his career to rank him any higher."

Having a favorite Miz match is like having a favorite episode of the news. They're all too bland, basic, uninteresting. Miz is exactly what you get when you're good enough at the job to never get fired but not good enough to ever be missed when you're gone."

[10.0] "the miz is a great utility talent who can be placed anywhere on the card when needed. he's also excellent at garnering heat, with amazing mic skills and great heel mannerisms. He's far from a masterclass wrestler, but he makes up for it by being consistent, safe, and reliable, and being very good at selling and willing to put others over. And its not like he cant put on a great match when he wants to. His fatal four way match at extreme rules 2016, IC title match at No Mercy 2016 with dolph ziggler, and his IC title match on Raw against Gunther, among others, have all been great. I have a lot of respect for the miz, and he is one of my personal favorite wrestlers."

[8.0] "You're never going to find him on a "Best of X or Y" list or compilation and you'll probably struggle to think of one singular match where The Miz set the world on fire. But the man consistently got heat and made chicken salad in one of the most anemic periods in pro wrestling history. One of the most acomplished Intercontinental Champions in the titles history and every time he got the belt it felt more important. Every company would kill for a Miz and It's why I reject the whole "coasting on one promo for a decade" narrative. He went though a torrid time at the beginning of his career and still endeavoured to elevate those around him when it would have been just as easy to pull rank like those before him and hog more of the glory for himself."
