If you were to build a perfect wrestler it would be Kurt Angle, the look, size, mic skill, charisma, and in ring skill all combine to make him one of the best to ever do it. He could also play any role you needed him too, like a babyface role model or an arrogant pretentious heel. Kurt is such a great talent, in my opinion he's second only to Shawn Michaels in best wrestling skills in WWE history."

The series of matches with Brock Lesnar in 2003, Samoa Joe in TNA (2006/07), Shawn Michaels in 2005 show that this guy is unstoppable. This guy is not from Pennsylvania. This guy is a machine. A wrestling machine. 2003, 2006 and 2009 were some of the most important years in his career because imagine, he lost his sister (2006 if I'm not mistaken), but he didn't stop doing what he loves. In her honor, he didn't stop. This guy is really Paul Heyman's phrase: you can fail a thousand times, but the thousand and first time you succeed. This is Kurt Angle. This is the true immortal. He is the Real American. This is the Pelé or Cristiano Ronaldo of wrestling. He is the G. O. A. T. Oh, it's true. It's the damn true!"

From a prolific background in amateur wrestling, to doing great comedy work in WWE, to working a 40-minute match with Christian & Rhyno in TNA, to working in numerous Japanese promotions, Kurt Angle has probably forgotten more things about wrestling than I'll ever learn. His longevity despite his issues with vices & his seeming ability to face pain head-on are a testament to his insane toughness & commitment to the business. Kurt is bar none one of the most well-accomplished people in the industry, & he deserved better than to be strapped with that trash Corbin match on the way out."

He really did have everything you could wish for: He was an outstanding in-ring worker, he had a great look, he had insane conditioning and legitimate skills, and he was a naturally gifted speaker and actor who could flip from being genuinely funny and jovial to serious as a heart attack at the drop of a hat. I simply cannot think of another wrestler who had so much going for them like he did. Every phase of this man's career is immensely watchable, even the low points. A true once in a lifetime talent."

He could have a 5* match with literally just about anyone (even Shane McMahon ffs), and even though his main run in WWE only spanned something like 6 years, it remains one of the most memorable of all time. Nobody has ever been able to match the work rate of Kurt Angle, and in fact, his charisma is severely underrated as well. Kurt was funny as hell. In fact that one promo of his, referring to Rey Mysterio "you're a boy, in a man's world ... and I'm a man that loves to play with boys! NO, WAIT A MINUTE, WAIT A MINUTE", I have never laughed so hard at professional wrestling in my entire life and I probably won't ever again xD"

Only a master could get the generally conservative fans of wrestling to hate an American gold medalist. The guy came out in red white and blue, and immediately got booed. Brilliant. He was an incredible in-ring worker, but I will also remember his amazing moonsaults which were incredible for an athlete his size. He had perhaps the single greatest final exit, with the fans giving him a resounding "You suck" chant, credit to his incredible career as a heel."

I have always known Kurt is one of the best ever, I always knew he had one of the best starts to a wrestling career ever, (alongside Brock its probably the top 2). I always had alot of love for him, always knew he is arguably in the top 3 discussion when talking TNA GOATs. I have found myself watching and praising so many of his matches (all matches during the Smackdown Six era, Angle vs HBK Wrestlemania, Angle vs Lesnar, Angle vs Taker, Angle vs Joe, Angle vs Styles , hell this man even managed to get a alltime banger out of Shane McMahon, although Shane being very talented and taking nasty bumps Angle still had a major role in making that match as great as it was). Yet somehow everytime I talked GOATS imo I mentioned Danielson, Michaels, Omega, Taker, etc. (The list has changed alot over the years). Yet somehow I never mention Kurt? WTF IS WRONG WITH ME. Pure wrestling skill Kurt is the best ever. My guy won a Gold Medal with a broken fucking neck. My guy had bangers in a era where Vince only cared about being an asshole onscreen whilst being a creep backstage and nothing else. My guy is imo in the top 3 TNA wrestlers ever (Joe, Styles, Angle). My guy has some of my alltime favorite matches, moments, segments. My guy is arguably the best wrestler ever. I APOLOGIZE FOR MY OWN IGNORANCE MR KURT. If he were still wrestling today and had the level he had before, he could have the same status that Bryan reached or more. He deserves a lot of recognition and I'm glad he's receiving it lately. Learned the business faster than anybody and didn't waste time having "5-Star Matches" (looking at you, dave) with the likes of Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Triple H and others. From being a cowboy hat wearing goof to being a Wrestling Machine outperforming everyone on the roster, it's safe to say that Kurt's character work is unparalleled and my god what a wrestler. Will definitely be in the best in ring worker debate and might win it too. Kurt never had a bad run as a wrestler in any promotion. Even in TNA, Kurt was portrayed as the franchise player from the very day he debuted and had memorable runs as champion. Kurt's mic work is absolutely top notch as well and made you feel something whether it was funny or very serious. If I had to pick a match from his career which I uphold dearly, then it has to be his bout with HBK in WrestleMania 21. But the most important thing about Kurt is that he WON AN OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL WITH A BROKEN FREAKING NECK"

[10.0] "Kurt Angle might just be the best talent WWE has ever cooked in history, only very few can be debated. Here we have a man who actually won an Olympic Gold Medal with a broken freakin' neck, and made it part of his gimmick and ended up being a great heel when he debuted as the "heel who thinks he's a babyface." Kurt Angle was a quick learner as well, because he's that naturally gifted and has unique talents that not everyone can possess. During that time, Kurt Angle mostly did comedic stuff, and it was very funny. Whether he was spraying people with a milk truck, wearing a teeny tiny sombrero, teaching celibacy to kids, etc. he was an amazing entertainer. Kurt Angle was also apart of the "SmackDown Six" back in the day, often having incredible matches with the fellow SmackDown Six members, his tag team match with Chris Benoit against Edge and Rey Mysterio is, arguably, WWE's best tag team match of all time. As the years go on, Kurt Angle shifts to a more serious and more evil heel, from shooting a dart gun at Big Show to shave him bald, handcuff Eddie Guerrero to beat the life out of him, chasing after Sharmell to get back at Booker T, saying the most problematic things in 2006 to make a point that the fans will cheer him no matter what, etc. Kurt Angle has had countless great matches and feuds with the likes of Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero, Brock Lesnar, Chris Benoit, John Cena, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe. and so many more to name, he is one of the best ring generals, one of the best technicians, great on the mic, amazing character work, very charismatic, can be a serious badass and funny goofball with ease. And of course, "Perc Angle" being one of the wildest runs a wrestler could ever have, despite his drug use was bad during that time, Kurt wrestled like he was on a whole different planet during that time, and you could tell. Overall, Kurt Angle is one of my all time favorites, he could do anything you gave him the task to do. Oh It's True, It's DAMN True!"

His personal story reveals the torturous effects that drug addiction and an overworked schedule can have on a person - especially if he works in the athletic business. But Kurt persevered via the three I's that defined him - intelligence, integrity, and intensity. Oh it's true! It's damn true!"

[10.0] "We are blessed to have experienced Kurt Angle, from the very second he stepped into the WWE in 1999 he took of literally instantly being one of the top 5 stars in the company why was this? Let's start with his in ring work, this is obviously a 10/10 because of his previous Olympic experience. He put on 5/5 matches with everybody and didn't need to win or lose to be seen as a threat everytime he stepped into a ring, having 5 star matches with Brock Lesnar, Steve Austin, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Triple H, John Cena, Samoa Joe, and anybody else he wrestled, constantly being a great seller and could put fear into anyone's heart once that theme played. His character work is amazing, in his early years of being in the WWE he was a great comedy character and continued to a a great comedy character too but in the attitude era that was his PEAK comedy in promos he made everybody laugh no matter who he was having a promo with, in the ruthless aggression era he was still hilarious Espically with Brock Lesnar and John Cena and Chris Benoit but he also became a character to take very seriously and not as a joke. In TNA he completely turned into a kingpin, no jokes and no smiles, dominating viciously and making sure nobody stepped out of line. As for impact Kurt's impact is seen through many wrestlers (Espically Chad Gable) due to being a character who was silly in promos but a dog inside the ring which is something many wrestlers try to replicate. In the end, Kurt is pretty much is in every bodies goat case and that's for a reason. It's not Perc Angle, it's PEAK Angle."

A 6 minute Kurt Angle match was a sight to behold just as much as his Wrestlemania matches. He truly had everything someone could have, but more than anything he had a believability in-ring that translated from his real success as a wrestler, and he was able to create a completely unique style. [10.0] "There are stars, there are superstars, and then there are the all-time greats. Kurt Angle is one of the very best to have ever stepped into a squared circle. From the moment he debuted, Angle embodied a rare combination of technical mastery, athleticism, and charisma that separated him from his peers. A legitimate Olympic gold medalist, his transition from amateur wrestling to professional wrestling was seamless, and he quickly became a fixture in main event scenes. What truly makes Kurt Angle special is how he excelled as both a heel and a babyface, often delivering top-tier performances no matter the role he was asked to play. One of Angle's most remarkable traits was his ability to elevate those around him. Whether facing legends like Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, or Brock Lesnar, or helping to shape the careers of newer stars like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles in TNA, Angle consistently delivered some of the greatest matches of all time. He didnt just hang with the besthe brought out the best in them. His matches werent just clinics in technical wrestling; they were emotionally charged bouts that left fans on the edge of their seats. Few performers in wrestling history have built a resume of classics spanning multiple eras, styles, and promotions like Angle did. What truly set Kurt apart was his versatility. He could be downright hilarious, famously donning a tiny cowboy hat or singing along with Stone Cold Steve Austin, but when the bell rang, there was no one more intense. His ability to switch between being an entertaining, comedic character and a fierce, no-nonsense competitor made him one of the most well-rounded performers in history. Fans believed in him whether he was an arrogant heel claiming to be the "best in the world" or the underdog babyface fighting against impossible odds. Beyond his natural talent and athleticism, Angle's passion for the business was undeniable. He worked tirelessly to improve, and even after his time in WWE, he carried that same work ethic to TNA, where he elevated the entire company to new heights. His matches with the likes of AJ Styles and Samoa Joe showcased that he still had it, even years into his career. Few wrestlers could maintain that level of performance while adapting to different styles and opponents across two major companies, but Angle did it with ease. [10.0] "Kurt Angle is the greatest PURE wrestler in the history of professional wrestling obviously due to him winning a Gold Medal (with a broken freakin neck) in wrestling, he clears Bret Hart in charisma and personality, he's a better "sports entertainer" than Shawn Michaels, seamlessly able to fluctuate from face to heel, goofball to maniacal wrestling machine, and an endless list of great matches and classic moments. IMO Kurt Angle is the greatest of all time"
