"Rene Goulet was one of those solid, dependable wrestlers who may not have reached superstardom, but definitely left his mark in the wrestling world. Known for his technical skills and flashy ring gear, he wrestled for decades, including stints in the AWA and WWF. His career highlight includes being the first to beat a young Ric Flair on TV, and he even held the WWF Tag Team Titles with Karl Gotch. After retiring, Goulet stayed behind the scenes as a WWE agent, helping guide the next generation. He was a true journeyman, respected for his longevity and contributions to the sport."

[5.0] "One of my favorite heel jobbers in early 80's WWF. He started as a face in 1980, and switched to a heel with his Michael Jackson glove. It was my fav move, the claw, even though no one ever submitted to it. lol He had decent charisma and if you had PRISM or USA network back in the day you could usually see a good 10-15 minute match out of him as an opener on a card. Please check his work in the 60's and 70's as he was a tag team champion with greats Karl Gotch and Ollie Anderson. In the 80's he was in his 50's which is much different being in your 50's in today's world."

Ok, so after watching more of his work from the 70's and very early 80's; he earns points due to his tag work with Dominic DeNucci and Pat Patterson. 4.75 rounded up. I stand by this though: He's only any good as a babyface and is a hideously crappy heel; post early 80's he was fkn AWFUL, borderline unwatchable/offensive."

Later in his career be became a jobber to the stars in the WWF, AWA and NWA. He was part of some formidable tag teams, winning gold with Gene Anderson and Karl Gotch. He was also part of the French Connection with Andre in Japan. I was glad to see him wearing the gold blazer in the WWE as he certainly deserved a post ring career. If all you saw was him jobbing out in the WWE, you pretty much missed everything."

[7.0] "He was a excellent jobber in the WWF one of the best. Underrated performer big time. Most remembered as a mid carder in AWA. Had some great matches with Ric Flair, Iron Sheik, Jim Brunzell and Ken Patera. Here's a fact he is the first one ever to beat Ric Flair. In WWF he was the second team along with Karl Gotch to win the tag belts in 1971. Great role as a jobber in WWF. Remembered for his claw hold and wearing a cape to the ring. You don't see it that much today. Very fast in the ring. Great at holds and high flying. He was a road agnet form 1987-1997 and made appearances in the back ground on PPV and Monday Night Raw."

[5.0] "Goulet is remembered today as the jobber he was in the early 1980's for wwe house cards. We must remember he was in his 40's at this time and WWE was pushing it's youth for it's national expansion. In his early career Goulet was a very credible mid card act and would be much higher ranked if he was around during the current media era of wrestling"
