[4.0] "Hisakatsu Oya without any shade was a midcard talent who has strikes and got the traditional sense holds on point. Mainly a man in his prime who helps elevate talents. His B-Cup for Battlarts in 1998 with beating Greg The Hammer Valentine and falling to company ace Yuki Ishikawa in the semi finals. In FMW he was just another guy, a un-technical promotion where you are hardcore and balls to the wall athleticism. You could say he is the mat grappler in the promotions existence."

Given my low affinity for that style of pro wrestling, he was often one of the more enjoyable parts on any card he was on to me. That said, there isn't a single match that stands out to me as being particularly good because of his involvement. He's solid and consistent as a worker, which is something I can appreciate."

He didn't need weapons, rather he is very psychological in his approach, using basic but effective suplexes, submissions and strikes in his arsenal to build up the pain factor gradually. He may not have had the look of a wrestler or the mic skills, but he was and still is very good."
