[10.0] "Page is a phenomenal wrestler who has only grown better with time in AEW. His death matches have been insane against MJF and Swerve and he compliments his opponents perfectly by buying into feuds like no one else with his emotion and aggression. His in-ring storytelling is absolutely top notch and his moves are always crisp. Sad to see him lose against MJF and not be able to be a future AEW World Champion as of now because I think he was one of AEW's best champions arguably the best with his recent reign after beating Moxley."

[10.0] "Proved himself. I was a doubter, I critiqued his promo work, his usage within storylines, but ever since 2022 or perhaps 2023 he has been the bonafide homegrown star AEW sorely needed. He has became a name by which you could build a company off of, his feuds with Swerve, Mox, Omega, MJF, serving as the backdrops to some of AEWs most important all-time moments. Page earned the right to be a top guy by constently improving his craft and what he is today is a true star, someone capable of a whole lot of varying storylines. He can be comedic, deathly serious, violent or a peace-loving homie and he does it all convincingly."

[7.0] "One of AEW main top guys and has one of most interesting characters in AEW. As a wrestler he good but I don't personally care for him that much. His matches with Bryan were great. His matches against Jay White were also good as well."

[10.0] "The most exceptional wrestler of the 2020s. Has a gravity which makes AEW's focus and theme whatever his focus and theme are. The finest points of his promotion are his finest points."

[10.0] "One of the best in the world today, and one with whom I find a special connection both in promos and in the ring. That's the thing about Hangman that really stands out to me, the preternatural connection with the audience that few other wrestlers can make feel so... genuine. His in ring work is fantastic, especially when you have a stipulation involved (Obviously he's the king of Texas Death), his promos feel real, he has a deep connection and relatability that feels more earnest than some wrestlers who try to make that their bread and butter."

For the past 6 months before he faced MJF he's been consistently average which should be beneath him because we all know how good he really can be but ever since his match we haven't seen him yet. I still believe he has a place in the shows"

[10.0] "The anxious millennial cowboy is the main character of AEW. His promos are raw, passionate, and engaging. His matches are exceptional and he's the master of Texas Death. Outside of the ring, he's also a decent person, which seems to be rare in this industry. History will show that he was 100% right about a certain someone that decided to take Saudi money. Hangman is the true best in the world."

[10.0] "One of the best wrestlers in the world. Incredible worker.. Hangman is an unreal in-ring wrestler, he's a very convincing promo and his character work is phenomenal. He has a great look, so much charisma and personality. He has a great set of moves and they almost always look very crisp and effective. His in-ring versatility is almost unmatched.. he can work a classic in a 1 on 1 match, a Tag Team Match, a multi-man match, a Trios Match etc. and it doesn't matter if it's a Regular Match, a Steel Cage Match, a Hardcore Match or a Death Match (he is exceptional in Texas Death matches). He is my favorite wrestler in the world and the reason I fell in love with AEW and pro wrestling as a whole."

[10.0] "The Main Character of American Pro-Wrestling. No matter what some haters and neckbearded crybabies who still haven't grown up since about may of 2011 might say, Adam Page is the epitome of a modern, compelling pro wrestler and character. A true main eventer and wrestler one can and should build their company around. You know he is truly good and honest person when you have people foaming at the mouth, waiting for his every little mistake to try and bury him in a wave of faux-pearl clutching and mob-mentality, only because he dared point out their "idol"'s true nature. Enjoy your blood-money covered d*** in Saudi Arabia, people. Hangman Adam Page is still the man."

[6.0] "Everyone has a few wrestlers that they just don't get. He's a good worker, he's got a good gimmick, he's got a good look, and he's a wierd but good promo. Everything about him is just "good" to me, and I have no idea why the people in charge of AEW chose this guy over every other option to be the top guy."

[5.0] "There was a window in 2021 where you could've convinced me that Hangman would become something great, but following not one but two title runs that were overshadowed by other acts on the same card, I'm fairly firm in my assessment that Hangman has a ceiling that is much lower than many hoped. Cowboy shit remains the most over thing about him and since 2023 he's indulged in torture porn esque death match wrestling."

[8.0] "7.5/10 from me (He's very good but I don't know there's something I don't connect with, don't know why), Accomplishments - 8, Charisma/Character Work - 8.5, Cultural Significance - 7, In-Ring Skills - 8.5, Longevity - 9.5 (So far) and Move-Set - 8.5 = 8.2 rounded down to 8/10."

[10.0] "There's rarely a wrestler that has personally affected me more than Hangman Adam Page. There's just something so awe inspiring of seeing someone go down the darkest pits, and climb from those pits to the highest of highs in Pro-wrestling. The match that he had with Jon Moxley at All In London was one of the best matches I've seen personally, and he consistantly is one of the best wrestlers and the best storytellers currently. nothing like good ol' cowboy shit"

[10.0] "One of the best characters in the industry in recent years. It's great to see how much this guy has developed since his ROH debut. Truly two triumphant AEW World Championship wins. An incredibly cool face who makes you want to root for him, and a potentially formidable heel (I don't think his insanity has been fully realized). And even now, having lost his World Title shot, he'll face a tough road to regain it. One of the few fighters I want to root for."

[10.0] "The way this man carries himself with pride, the way he speaks, the way he moves inside the ring is truly one of a kind. He's this determined lion that you want to cheer for no matter how relentless or brutal he gets."

[10.0] "An amazing performer whose matches are a joy to watch. Almost every feud/match is excellent. A true star."

"He's fantastic in-ring, and has had several of AEW's all time greatest matches. His style is mostly "beat the piss out of you" impact-based stuff, but then he whips out one of the most beautiful moonsaults I've ever seen, and has a lightning quickness perfectly timed to points of high tension in the match. I'm especially fond of how he beats ten counts somehow closer and closer to the last possible second every single time. His psychology is also very sound, which you can see great examples of from his MOTYC with Ospreay in 2025, or from something smaller-scale like his world title defence against Lee Moriarty. And then there's his incredible death match record, of course. But great in-ring wrestlers are a dime a dozen in AEW. What makes Hangman special, in my opinion head-and-shoulders above the majority of his peers, is his character work. This guy has told a consistent, engrossing story at least since the start of his AEW tenure, and probably further back. Every decision, every development, has some weight and internal logic to it. He works on a broad appeal, lovable babyface level (despite never being the "white meat" totally good guy archetype, mostly loved because of his relatable flaws), while paying attention to subtle details that further flesh out his character, making him rewarding for fans who want a wrestling persona they can really sink their teeth into. He's also one of the better straight up actors in the business and can sell real, complex emotion with his facial expressions, the aftermath of his cage match with Swerve being a superlative example. All this has resulted in a wrestling character who's managed to get the whole fanbase on his side on historic journeys to the world title - twice. I've seen people say his promos aren't his stong suit which I also find baffling. He was never bad at them to start with, and he's gotten a lot better (though I will say, and this is maybe my only gripe with his presentation: he could yell less. he has become a little too yelly for my taste). I guess it's a matter of personal taste, but I love his slightly theatrical style, and his way with words; "the medicine is not working but I am still here" lives in my head all the time. Again, everything is connected to his character work, which is just stellar. As I write this, he's about to go into a match against MJF with a very controversial and risky stipulation attached to it, and I don't know what his future at AEW holds. But I trust him to make me invested in it, whatever it is."

[7.0] "In general I like Page, but he feels shoehorned into a role he's not fit for. They want him to be the face of the company, but he doesn't have a top guy feel. His promo work leaves alot to be desired at time, but isn't the complete worst and his character is all over the place. I do typically like his matches and think he's a pretty good worker when he wants to be, but I'm not a fan of the death match stuff most of the time. Mostly because it seems like he's doing spots, that often are convoluted and make no sense to do in a match or fight. Feels like he's playing a character and not being a character if that makes sense."

"Adam Page is a great athlete, has a good enough look, and plenty of potential, but he has no wrestling psychology and terrible selling. He's just another wrestler who does moves and spots, but is awful at getting over a personality or building a story while working. His promos are bad, he comes off very rehearsed, like he's trying real hard to play a "character" rather than just letting things flow naturally, feel real and come off like he means it on the spot, and not like he wrote it down and practiced it. And this is about as good as he will ever be, because he has already expressed that doesn't have any desire to evolve or learn, which will keep him from ever being a true big star in the business."

[9.0] "The protagonist of AEW man, I don't care what you think about him, you can't deny it. He is maybe also the most improved wrestler on AEW, clearly if you see the beggining of his career at ROH/NJPW and compare to what he became today, you will clearly see an visible difference. His feud with Omega is legendary, his feud with Swerve is even more legendary, his feud with Moxley is EVEN more legendary, an complete beast when it comes to storytelling, both as face and heel. Arguably one of the best storytellers of all time. His ring style is one of my favorite, each wrestler he faces he make him looks even much better, without making himself weaker. Althought, I need to say, both of his world title reigns were pretty weak and he made an change on his ring style which I am not an huge fan off. He works pretty much better as a brawler than as a all rounder with some bits of Ospreayism."

[8.0] "Objectively, I think that Page is a great worker and the fans love him, he is the John Cena, the AJ Styles of AEW but for some reason, I can't get fully behind Page. Without bias, I think Page is one of the top workers in AEW, but after getting the big wins, he fails to consistently give us entertaining and interesting programmes. His World championship wins were some of the biggest and important moments of AEW but the title reigns itself weren't all that good. Still I think he is an important and necessary part of AEW, one who can deliver in big matches and stoylines when needed."

[10.0] "I've watched Adam Page since he was just getting started in North Carolina. CWF Mid-Atlantic (rip) was where he started working first in 2009. I started going to shows there periodically from 2012-2017 and saw him get better and better. Then I saw him working in Ring of Honor and New Japan and that's when you could really see how good he could be. Now with AEW I think he's realized his full potential and he's one of the cornerstones of that promotion. He's one of the best in the world right now and I'm glad he's the centerpiece of AEW because he's better than a lot of guys pushing 50 who have tantrums. He's also reached his full potential by becoming multiple time champion and a true representative of the company."

[6.0] "Pretty good in his role in AEW but overall very average main event talent. Most of his promos get pretty lame and one note. Has been unimpressive in his times as world champion. Really loved his run to All In though, the victory against moxley and the lead up to it shows he does have potential. (2026) I have to update my rating to a little lower because of the absolute letdown his title run and subsequent performances have been. Guy seems destined to never make use of his potential."

[10.0] "AEW as right to build the company around this man. The elite sure saw something in Hanger that I didn't when they let him into the club. His journey to the top of AEW and storyline with the elite is still the best the company has ever done and Hangman Page himself turned from a servicable worker to a legit great wrestler during that journey. AEW has better wrestlers in their history but no one in AEW has a better collection of matches from that promotion and the man truly feels like the heart and soul of the company. Hangman feud with Swerve was the shining light of a pretty shitty year for AEW in 2023 and to me it's what helped AEW bounce back in 2024 and then it felt completely natuaral when Hangman appeared as a late minute candidate to end the Blood Rider storyline in 2025, proof that the man is in-bedded into the DNA of the company. All the while Hangman has had the best AEW Young Buck tag match, best AEW brawl with Moxley and best AEW singles match with Will Ospreay."

[10.0] "My favorite wrestler currently working now that AJ Styles (possibly? ) retired. Hangman embodies the platonic ideal of a professional wrestler to me. He may not necessarily do a million moves or be a completely muscular brick that's 275 pounds with zero body fat, but Page makes me fucking feel. His title chase against Kenny Omega is, in my opinion, the single best long-term story in the history of professional wrestling and his eventual win after so much build in multiple companies was a perfect moment of catharsis for a character that came to mean so much to me at the height of my wrestling fandom. His promos are all excellent as he's very good at articulating his well-rounded and three-dimensional character in a way that doesn't rely on "lore" but instead relates to those anxieties that we all go through. I also appreciate how his character his flaws and is absolutely capable of making selfish or even outright cruel decisions, as seen in his incredible feud with Swerve Strickland. He's a fully fleshed out character with beliefs and hopes and flaws and fears that drive his actions in a logical and believable way and you just don't often get in wrestling. That alone makes him a ten in my eyes. I genuinely can't express just how much the whole "anxious millennial cowboy" gimmick resonates with me. It just does. Page is incredible."

[10.0] "For my money, the best and most complete wrestler alive today. Hangman Page has it all, an incredible look, an intensity that fires you up just watching him, true generational in ring ability, a sick finisher that is completely believable, and more than anything he just has a connection with his audience that no one else has. This man is absolutely adored by AEW fans and always has been. He is the closest thing to Sting we have in the modern era, someone that is the living embodiment of a promotion outside of WWE and will carry that promotion on his back for many years to come."

[8.0] "Countless cowboys in wrestling from Cowpuncher Corrigan to Big Beans Bristow out of Pulledpud, Pennsylvania. Hangman is a likeable and very capable contemporary. For a guy that used to be a teacher, he doesn't half pull a convincing wild eyed lunatic. His TDMs are minor gruesome classics. Definitely went stale for a while, retiring Daniels reinvigorated him culminating in his second all too brief World Strap. Maybe not an elite tier top guy going forward, his weird psycho drama with Swerve still has legs and he's always a welcome addition on any card."

[9.0] "Hangman is that guy, since his breakout in 2018, he's been one of the best in the world, from his days in Bullet Club being the Young Cowboy to Now the AEW Main Eventer and Multi time World Champion, Hangman's character development has been a blast to watch. Hangman has become one of my favorites and i can't wait to see what he does next. COWBOY SHIT."

[9.0] "I love Adam Page, he's such a good wrestler and phenomenal on the mic. Ngl, his feud with CM Punk kinda ruins him for me cause he went off script & became a dick afterwards. However, he's change over the last few years thankfully and now he's one of my favorites again, 2025 was his freaking year and had beautiful redemption story. His feud with Swerve is one of AEW's best"

[7.0] "I am mixed on Hangman Adam Page. In the ring, he is uncannily talented and you can always expect a good match from him. But his character work is where he falls apart. He doesn't look like a true cowboy. His character is presented as kind of an alcoholic, but he always looks awkward carrying a beer around. His promos aren't very good and I can't understand the monster push he's had in AEW since the beginning. He wouldn't get it if it weren't for his friendship with the CEOs."

[10.0] "Everything Adam Page does is good. It does not matter if people dont understand or dont agree, but he is absolutely without a doubt the Stone Cold Steve Austin of the 2020s. To be a little more accurate, he is if Mick Foley had Stone Cold's gimmick. The heart and soul of a man who was told he wasnt going to go far, never gives up, but is also brutal as hell, a real badass and speaks to the common people. To be even more bold, the next 10 years of Page's career likely will be a vague, pseudo "what if" if Stone Cold never got his neck messed up and stayed going for another decade."

[10.0] "In the last 5 years, he's become one of my all-time favorite wrestlers. Just a phenomenal wrestler and one of the most likable and sympathetic characters of all time. Crazy when you can burn someone's house down in kayfabe and still get the pop of the century a year later."

[7.0] "Tad bit overrated, comes off like a particular word i wont say here. Doesnt strike me as a Lead dog...more like a lovable side character to the real players (i.e SWERVE, JOE, KENNY etc.) this dude really just seems like he be pandering imo....i cant take a panderer serious"

[5.0] "I think his reputation is built more on the storylines around him than on his actual in-ring work. He performs well in stipulation matches, but his regular singles matches rarely stand out. His character work feels bland and his mic work lacks presence, which makes it hard for him to carry a feud on his own. For me he lands in the middle of the pack and doesn't reach the level that fans often claim he does."

[10.0] "Given he just lost the belt I figured it was good a time as any to give Hangman a rating, and I just gotta with the full ten. Since 2020, he's been one of the most complete, well-rounded pro wrestlers in the world. Whether as the big babyface champ, an insane heel, or something in between, he makes it feel authentic. His promos aren't these perfectly polished recitations; he's always wearing his feelings on his sleeve and just letting it rip. He makes it feel real, and relatable, even in his darkest moments. His match catalog at 34 years old is kinda unreal. He's been one of the top stars in AEW for years and he's made the most of it pretty much every time. He's done some of the best tag matches AEW has ever seen. Nobody this century has performed the hardcore No DQ/deathmatch stipulations in American mainstream wrestling as good as Hangman has. He's done the best hour long match I ever seen with Bryan Danielson, and then they did 3 more incredible matches together after that. This year alone in 2025 he's been in the top two AEW matches of the year by my estimation at Double or Nothing and All In Texas, and then you got his matches against the DCF, the two against Fletcher, the TDM against Christopher Daniels, the Revolution MJF match, the falls count anywhere against Hobbs. All kinds of different matches with all kinds of different opponents, he's excelled at. Even though he lost the world title, its only a matter of time before he gets it again. He's gonna be a top star for AEW for years to come, and he's very well deserving of the Main Character title."

[10.0] "Perfect understanding of who he is as a character in any circumstances, heel or face, inside and outside the ring. While his match resume speaks for itself, I think where he shines most is his ability to be so human without sacrificing an ounce of what also makes him larger than life."

[10.0] "A personal favorite of mine. With his authenticity in the ring, and his tendency to speak his mind out of it, Adam Page has ended up becoming an inspiration to thousands. At the time of writing this, he is on his 2nd AEW World Title Reign, and is proving his status as the face of the revolution. It certainly helps that he has put on some of the most gripping matches of the decade with the likes of Swerve, Bryan Danielson, and Jon Moxley without seeming like a lesser talent in comparison."

[10.0] "One of the greatest wrestling storytellers I've ever seen. Of course he's got the look, he's got the acting chops, he's incredible in the ring, but above all else, Hangman has a deeper understanding of his character, his story, than perhaps any other wrestler working today. The long-term storytelling this man is capable of is unbelievable and it's not just the cathartic triumphs or the horrifying lows that sell it, it's the small details in every promo, every match along the way. This, in tandem with the authenticity he pours into his work, creates something superhero-like, a character you're desperate to see succeed, a character you can connect with so deeply that you surprise yourself with tears streaming down your face because his victories really do mean something deeper than wrestling to you. For my money, he's the best wrestler in the world. Cowboy Shit."

[10.0] "I don't know how I could watch this man grow infront of my eyes since 2016 and not give him the highest rating possible? I've seen him go from Bullet Club's Young Boy in 2016 having Hardcore matches with Jay Briscoe, to having Tanahashi want to whisk him away from Bullet Club after being impressed by him the G1 in 2018, to starting a career defining run in AEW that is ongoing since 2019, which currently has him as AEW World Champion for the second time in a match that perhaps had the hottest crowd of 2025 for a massive stadium fully behind him. Hangman Page is everything that I truly want to see in a wrestler, and he's showing no signs of slowing down, we're just getting started here. The heart and soul of AEW is Hangman Page."

[5.0] "Adam Page is the perfect mid card wrestler. It's a backhanded compliment, I know. He has a good look, he looks like a wrestler when he's not got butterflies on his jeans. His wrestling is solid, though he does too much deathmatch shit. His promos are unremarkable, but get the point across. He lacks a little charisma, but he's as solid as solid gets. Is he main event or face of the company worthy? Not if you ask me. He'd be much more tolerable as a mid card wrestler, perhaps that gatekeeper role."

[9.0] "I changed my rating from a 7 to a 9, I said he was a generic babyface character who was good in the ring but otherwise unremarkable, it's amazing what a couple years can do. Adam Page is now one of the best characters in AEW and professional wrestling in general."

"[10.0] It is very rare nowadays for me to really be totally invested in a wrestler. I have been fully invested in "Hangman" Adam Page since AEW started. He has become one of, if not my favorite modern day wrestlers. Words can't really do justice to my feelings about Page. He is AEW's goat."

[10.0] "My favourite wrestler of all time and not just because of the promos and matches which are both top tier but because of his reliability to every single one of the fans. Absolutely deserves to be the top guy in the company that was LITERALLY BUILT FOR HIM. If he continues like this for the next 10 years he's going to be in some serious conversations"

[10.0] "Hangman is the ideal wrestler for the modern era. He is so real in a time where everyone is so obviously fake. He has grown a lot on the mic and has had in ring ability for a long time. He's extremely versatile and he can be flexible with different wrestlers and work within their styles. He is one of the best developed characters in wrestling today and it feels like he actually wants to have an evolving character rather than a caricature that it feels like many wrestlers end up having. He is also an incredible tag wrestler which is such a bonus for a main event talent because they often end up in these mish-mash tag matches."

[8.0] "Hangman has grown a lot over the years. He might not have had that immediate 'superstar aura' early on, but his AEW World Title run was proof that long-term storytelling can pay off. Solid in-ring worker, great psychology, and you can tell he puts emotion into his matches. Still has room to improve on the mic, but he's definitely earned his spot."

[9.0] "It's really a case of having good booking rather than natural charisma but he had one of the best character builds in recent years and the true face of AEW, his story is so good that even CM Punk's victory after so many years of waiting for his return felt like a mistake, one thing to hold against him is his attitude outside the ring."

[10.0] "There's just something real about Hangman Page. Every time he steps into the ring, it feels like more than just a match. He brings heart, fire, and emotion into everything he does. Whether it's a brutal fight or a quiet stare across the ring, you feel what he's feeling. He's one of the only wrestlers who can make you care without saying a word. AEW wouldn't be the same without him. Hangman is that guy."

[10.0] "One of the best in the world right now always puts on excellent match and has been the main character of AEW for a reason he can make you feel every emotion when watching his matches and he is the one wrester everyone wants to succeed and climb the mountain and regain the world title. Also a bonus that he has been involved in what in my opinion is the best feud of the decade so far with Swerve and also the his journey to win his world title is the best story AEW have ever told because he makes you feel everything he is going through, One of the best in the world at cutting a promo and one of the best actors in the business and one of the best in the world in the ring he's only 33 so for me its an easy 10/10. when I originally wrote this i back at the start of May and hoped he would beat Mox before anyone really thought he would win the Owen but since I wrote this Hanger has been on a tear winning both the Owen and the world title and has been the best wrestler in the world in that time currently in my top 3 for Wrestler of the year.
