[8.0] "Gee some people aren't very nice! Alan Funk was a very hard working man. He really had the respect of Sarge at the WCW Power Plant. He worked very hard to get on TV as Angry Alan Funk, teaming with Mike Sanders. Then came the Kwee Wee gimmick, which - let's be honest, he did a great job with it! Even his work as the Funkster in WWA was great, he actually had the mannerisms down perfectly which made me laugh. The tragedy of Alans career was his ability to work hard, get a gimmick over, start making it on WCW PPV's, only to wrestle at WCW Greed and within a few weeks be right back to working in wrestling developmental for the WWF, unable to get on TV. It was a bit of a tragedy. Would have liked to see Kwee Wee join Rico and feud with Billy and Chuck. lol"

[3.0] "First of all, I've only watched his work as Bruce on the first year of TNA and the Funkster gimmick on WWA. Those gimmicks were horrible, specially Bruce, where he was portraing an homosexual stereotype. His work with Lenny Lane as a part of the Rinbow Express was fine, but then when he got on his one, he begun to fight for the Miss TNA crown with other women. It was awful seing him beating some women. It's one of the worst things TNA made on their first year. And if that wasn't bad enough, then he joined Brian Lawler's domestic abuse storyline. It was just bad. On the other hand, the little I've seen of The Funkster is really funny. He was portraing a Hulk Hogan impersonator and it was good. He look alike and made his moves. It was really funny, he had a good match with PCO. I think that Alan Funk was average in the ring, but those gimmicks he had were awful."

I honestly couldn't say for sure if he spiked his skullet for the "heat" (Bully Raytm) or if didn't know any better. He also had the worst looking ring attire. They looked like silk pajamas. He had next to nothing good to offer pro wrestling."

[4.0] "Alan Funk certainly played an odd range of characters during his career, ranging from a generic Power Plant graduate, to a knockoff of SNL's "Mango" character in Kwee Wee, to a Hulk Hogan impersonator as The Funkster, to the exotico Chi Chi in Lucha Libre USA. He was a solid if unremarkable ring performer, but had just enough personality to pull off his various gimmicks."
