[3.0] "First of all, I've only watched his work as Bruce on the first year of TNA and the Funkster gimmick on WWA. Those gimmicks were horrible, specially Bruce, where he was portraing an homosexual stereotype. His work with Lenny Lane as a part of the Rinbow Express was fine, but then when he got on his one, he begun to fight for the Miss TNA crown with other women. It was awful seing him beating some women. It's one of the worst things TNA made on their first year. And if that wasn't bad enough, then he joined Brian Lawler's domestic abuse storyline. It was just bad. On the other hand, the little I've seen of The Funkster is really funny. He was portraing a Hulk Hogan impersonator and it was good. He look alike and made his moves. It was really funny. I think that Alan Funk was average in the ring, but those gimmicks he had were awful."

He was a solid if unremarkable ring performer, but had just enough personality to pull off his various gimmicks."
