I'm out. *Looks back at phone. *" Come on... when a worker is so mediocre that I feel gut-repulsed at the prospect of watching their back catalogue, something is truly the matter. His promo skills (those promos... dear lord, those promos) & in-ring charisma are non-existent, & when it comes to non-stip, meat & potatoes one-on-one matches on any random Impact, he's like an even less-charismatic Mike Bennett. I remember ever being impressed by a basic singles match with him only once in the 2 years I've been watching Impact. There is no doubt that he at least has a solid foundation as a worker, & he uses this to his advantage only during Nth-degree wild no-DQ situations (those Hardys/System matches had a few spots that duly showed his ability), but tit for tat, I struggle to imagine anybody more boring in-ring, & it's surreal to think that this would be the case for somebody 20 years in. As mentioned, he's capable in-ring & that's that single, solitary positive I have for you."

I truly believe AJ could have had a better match with a fan from the crowd or a random object from the back. I would give him some grace had he been green, but by that point had close to 300 matches. He's a Bill DeMott Deep South guy who backed his training style and approach which Bill of course was an awful trainer, Brain would just party all the time at his house instead of you know, actually trying to improve as a worker, MJF and Statlander will be his saving grace by the history of wrestling, but he was never going to be impressive if he can't work AJ Styles it's shocking looking at Matt Cardona, Trent, Dan Barry all more impressive compared to him when they all learned under Mikey Whipwhreck things like that make it hard for me to quote him higher than anything than inadequate at best for his entire career summary."

While he never reached close to the top of the card in WWE, his infamous losing streak became a cult favorite storyline, and he played his role with total commitment. Outside WWE, especially in TNA, Myers has shown more of his personality and in-ring ability, proving he's more than just a background player. He may never be given the chance to be a headliner, but he's a valuable veteran who understands the business and helps elevate others"

Outside of WWE you see more of his potential and is dedication to the wrestling business. In the ring he is a solid wrestler, and he does have promo skills and charisma to match."

His promos lacked most of the time and lacked in having a personality or a character. He just isn't fun to watch. He does nothing worth watching. Nothing he has done is fun, interesting, or entertaining. He just has nothing besides subpar wrestling. 2/10"

He seems like a really nice guy though, from his YouTube videos and whatnot he's obviously a big wrestling fan and seems to be very friendly. But yeah, not a great wrestler and his look isn't great. In-ring is just very average, will forever be a jobber and I personally could not take him seriously as a champion or anything other than a jobber. Might be because WWE slapped that onto him, but yeah... can't really rate him anything other than a 3."

Brian is primarily an entertainer, his matches are not always good enough, but at the same time he has a good base, which now allows him to be visible in Impact Wrestling. He also had a great last run in WWE, which personally in my opinion made him one of the best jobbers in the history of the company, for whom I really wanted to worry and whose reunion with Zack Ryder was very emotional. 7 points."

Hawkins has good ring skills (about 6/10 in my opinion) but they weren't his biggest advantage. Curt was able to build his entire character on failures, and he did it both as a heel and as a face, and it worked both ways. He was credible in what he was doing, and he was able to entertain. From a certain point, everyone was probably cheering him on and hoped for his success, which took place at WrestleMania 35. And for this skill of building a character he gets a higher grade than indicated by the ring skills."

[8.0] "Entertaining guy and very good worker. Two runs in WWE as Curt Hawkins, both defined by short reigns with the Tag Team Championships with Zack Ryder. Was able to turn his losing streak into a gimmick and got it over, though it's a pity that a title win at WrestleMania would so quickly dissolve. He's been having a good second (and proper) run in Impact, which I'm enjoying very much and has seen him positioned as a World Championship contender on two occasions but his push does seem to have been significantly reduced since his feud with Matt Cardona and loss to Christian Cage. Despite a short run as TNA World Tag Team Champion with Trevor Lee and a myriad of independent champions, Brian Myers is most associated as the partner to Cardona. Myers is by far the superior worker and arguably the more reliable promo but he hasn't yet shown the independent creativity and motivation to really break out and get himself over on his own, which I believe is why Myers is working more matches and making more towns but Cardona is getting the titles and main events on IWTV/Impact/Fite. I still have high hopes for Myers as a singles competitor in Impact and on the Indies and I hope he gets a chance for a run on top as the piece of crap heel he can play so well."

You cannot deny his in-ring fundamentals and technical prowess. Even his character and promos area huge step up from what they used to be, he's gotten a lot more natural at it. Plus, now that he's leading his own stable, he has a lot of potential to be a big player in Impact."

He's a guy who's fine in everything he does, but isn't particularly good in any of them. He's got a great elbow drop but man, you really have to be a special kind of wrestler for a in-form AJ Styles to not get anything out of you. He's a dab hand in comedic bouts and plays a good underdog jobber, but he's been really mixed in IMPACT thus far, having a mix to good to horrific quality bouts. He's definitely not a main event but you can throw him in the undercard and he'll do no harm."

Being more reserved and quiet than his partner, his charisma is not as strong and that limits him, but he is more enjoyable as a worker. He also seems to be a good sport, despite his ridiculously long losing streak. It was a feel good moment when he won the tag titles with Matt at Mania, thus ending the losing streak and also giving him some gold in the process. He is also noted for being a lifelong fan, particularly admiring ECW, and cited Chris Candido, Raven, Steve Corino, Tommy Dreamer, and Nova as some of his favorites. In addition to that, he has helped trained MJF and Kris Statlander, two up-and-comers for AEW. He's a hard worker and a relatable, humble person."

He can form a solid tag team with just about anyone, can cut a believable promo, performs well but not spectacularly as a either heel or face. Impact is a great fit, his 'Most Professional' wrestler gimmick has let him break lose from some of this perceived limitations. Ironically this is partly because he has been working with similarly performing wrestlers like Rohit Raju."

Beyond putting over the whole of the WWE beautifully, the obvious highlights for the once Curt Hawkins in the big company are his title success with Zach Ryder as well as his losing streak leading into the most recent of their aforementioned title victories. A consistently underrated performer who can thrive no matter where they are placed on the card. When given the chance to take the mic or truly compete, he always steps up. Myers is at his best when in a promotion that affords him such opportunities."

It's a shame that only his Edgeheads time, his little re-work in NXT and maybe his jobber tag-team run with Tyler Reks were the peaks of his career. He's maybe not the guy you wanna see and hear in the main-event scene for a long period, but Hawkins' character work is more than just decent, in a different time he'd have been a good asset for the mid-card. Whenever Hawkins gets a serious match all of a sudden, he continues to be a fluent performer. He continues to wrestle in a good form in comparison to some other similarly inactive wrestler."

He's back with Ryder now, but it just seems too far lost at this point. He trained MJF though, so perhaps training is where he can shine going forward. Well... that & playing with action figures."

Although his first run with WWE - which did see him win the Tag Titles with Zack Ryder - eventually saw his role devolve to that of being an enhancement talent, he still seemed to be well-respected for his in-ring abilities and was entrusted to work with the Rock as he prepared for one of his comeback matches. After his release, Hawkins - under real name Brian Myers - became a workhorse on the indy scene, taking regular bookings with notable promotions. Since returning to WWE, he's largely been used again as an enhancement talent, though his lengthy losing streak eventually culminated with a WrestleMania (kickoff) Tag Title win alongside old partner Ryder. Outside WWE, Hawkins notably operates the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy alongside Pat Buck, which has produced several high-quality new talents."

His strongest assets are his charisma and his mic skills, he's strong on the mic and is able to get heat on himself well, he seems more suited to being a heel, however I do see him working as a babyface if they make a storyline out of the losing streak thing."

I didn't want to know anything about him. I found him annoying and insignificant. When he ended up on the indies, he was suddenly everywhere. I didn't give him a fair shot at first, but once I started to watch him and pay attention, I realized that WWE had no idea what they were doing with him. His ring skills are amazing. He has a ton of personality. He can pull off being a heel in NJ and a babyface in NY like he's blinking, and he does well in either role. He's amazing to watch and he knows how to showcase his opponents perfectly. I can't praise him enough!
