They did a good job of selling the grudge between the two of them, and the match felt energetic and competitive throughout its duration. The finish worked, but was a bit sudden, and it all came across as set up for a rematch that I don't believe ever took place. There was a sketchy moment where Austin grabbed the ropes while applying a Half Crab, but in a way that seemed like it would pull him in the opposite direction than what would be required to put extra torque on the move? But whatever, I guess. Entertaining while it lasted, but definitely a match that left me wanting more. |

They hit each other hard and bump hard for each other. It's a shame we didn't get to see these two face off against each other later in their careers when their stars were brighter and they have more experience under their belts. |

So here is the big grudge match happening on a Random clash of the champions and it's under 10 minutes with a fuck finish. Wcw really failed these two guys. A shame because their chemistry is so clear here and this match despite the shitty finish and short length is pretty good. 3.25/5 |

Pillman hat die Face-Rolle übernommen, Austin dafür den schmierigen Parker an die Seite gestellt bekommen, welcher im leicht versemmelten Finish nach schneller und akzeptabler Partie auch das Match zugunsten seines Schützlinges entscheidet. Insgesamt ist das passabel, bekommt aber nicht annähernd die Aufmerksamkeit, welche den beiden Protagonisten retrospektivisch und vom reinen Engagement her hätte zugestanden werden müssen. |
