The high spots don't have the flash as some of Ospreay's more known epics. Slater is so naturally charismatic for his age and the hangtime he can get on his high spots is something that can help him stand out of the crowd. The story told here was coherent, with Slater using tricks of other RevPro regulars to show how he can adapt and defeat a much more seasoned opponent. This had its violent moments with Ospreay really laying in those Ligerbombs. I'm admittedly a bit worn out by this style but there were things I liked a lot here and Slater has to be one of the best wrestlers in the world who is still a teenager! |

All in all this wasn't bad but I didn't feel a lot of hype from it, it was very go-go as expected and left me a bit cold, but the live crowd loved it so they did the right things. Leon Slater definitely shows some potential. |

Their styles were perfect to deliver together and indeed I was not wrong because WHAT A MATCH, it was awesome with Ospreay great in that dickhead role and Slater still as fighting as ever. Ospreay doing a Superman Punch in reference to Roman's segment in which Leon served as an extra last week in SmackDown was the funniest thing in the match, Will is so good at that kind of detail. I also really enjoyed Drilla Moloney's intervention, no doubt Will's next big match in RevPro will be against him. All in all, twenty minutes of beautiful wrestling. |
