116.01.2025TPG2.0This match actually started off pretty good. The double betrayal spot was also pretty clever with its twist, but then that's about it, because the run-ins start, It's like AJ Style's last TNA match. Some dude in a Vince McMahon mask shows up, Stackhouse or whatever, Hornswoggle, Marco Stunt, Bryan Myers, and X-Pac at the end for some reason. It sucks all the enjoyability out of the match and it goes on for about 20 minutes. Probably the worst match of the night.

But it was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overbooked. Too many random people showing up just because. I wouldn't mind if it ended with Brian showing up, that spear with the motorcycle helmet was a nice nod to Edge. But everything in between was just too much. *1/4

Even though I did enjoy it, I almost wouldn't even consider it a match. With the amount of stopping and starting and random people popping out of nowhere to interrupt the match, along with the references every other second, those things take precedence over the wrestling itself in this match.
2812.02.2022TSwifty2.0This was absolutely ridiculous and could easily be used as an example for why Pro-Wrestling is seen as a joke by many. Shockingly, this wasn't even close to one of the worst matches of the night. There's at least 3 or 4 matches from this event that are worse than this. I'll mention things I like first. Cardona's heel work is good and can work even the 'smartest' wrestling fans. His entrance with the "Fuck Mick Foley" jacket was great. Chelsea Green was probably the best performer in this match. Her 'betrayal' of Cardona was really good but it happened 5 minutes into the match so they could move onto their shenanigans instead of a satisfying conclusion to the angle. Horrible booking decision right there. Chelsea's Destroyer on Marko Stunt was pretty damn hilarious though. Now, just about everything else was awful. Someone already nailed it with the comparison to Vince Russo's booking. There was way too many inside jokes that only appeal to the biggest nerds and a lot of this didn't make sense. Who the hell is Sam Stackhouse, why is Swoggle there, what's the point of Virgil in a Vince mask and you get my point. There was probably about 5 minutes of actual wrestling between Cardona and Janela here and from the little bit we saw they definitely wouldn't have set the world on fire if they had a normal match. *1/2

I don't understand why comedy spots are being used during a blood feud where these two guys are trying to kill each other. If I were to compare this to a movie, it's like if you were watching Goodfellas and Jim Carrey randomly showed up on-screen and started making fart jokes for no reason - it would completely take you out of the story of the movie. Most of the cameos here don't even make sense or play into the match either, like Virgil, who randomly walks out for three seconds before returning to the back. I'm not sure what the purpose of that was. The Hornswoggle stuff was cringeworthy and would have been ridiculed mercilessly if WWE did it, but people let it slide when an indie company does it for whatever reason.

Nicht immer das perfekte Timing und nah am Overkill, aber dennoch unterhaltsam und interessant, anzusehen. Das Wrestling hingegen war mau und lebte von einzelnen Spots. So manche Sequenz war zu lang und wenn man keine Segmente hat, stopft man das halt alles in ein Match. Ausreichend für mich und so auch die Matchwertung.

You took a match that was really good, that I was enjoying, and you made it take a U-Turn and sent it straight down the toilet because of all these random people getting involved that hold no place to the story between these 2 competitors. STUPID! Only Chelsea Greene had a right to get involved because she is a part of the story here, and I loved the the trick she played on Joey Janela and the fans during the match, that was great. Ultimately, this match got ruined and I could not wait for it to be over. I can definitely understand the argument that many fans have about why pro wrestling sucks & is a joke these days, because I see a lot of this bullshit going on around the world, even in Japan & Mexico. In the age of the popularity of the UFC & MMA as a whole, you would think that Pro Wrestling would want to put on shows with gritty competition, no bullshit, in your face type of stuff, and not make you feel like you're watching the circus. Dumb.

The flourishes like Chelsea wearing WWECW Zack Ryder single leg tights and Cardona wearing Mikey Whipwreck gear were an excellent touch. I waited the whole match for Brian Myers to interfere and I still lost my mind when he did. The match is a mess. I loved it.

Part of the reason i wanted to watch this show was to see where this angle was going and boy was that a mistake. God i hate to type this but honestly the only way to describe it would be CRINGE! By the time interference, bad comedy and cameos started this match had already fallen apart. They did a false betrayal spot 5 minutes in with Chelsea Green so thats the payoff you get if you were invested in the angle at all. I guess its cool that they popped the boys with call backs to WWE'S ECW cash grab pay per views but i was kind of hoping to actully watch a decent match. Expected too much!

In the middle of the fight, they overdid the interventions, but the ending fixed everything, correct and noisy appearances. In wrestling, everything was just fine.

People hating on this need to learn how to have fun.

I absolutely love matches that are commentary on the past or present. The run ins made me laugh and feel happy, Cardona is working the GCW fans so hard that it makes the whole thing wonderful.

I love Joey, and I love Matt, but man this just wasn't it. I will admit I did pop for Myers showing up in the Edge get up from ONS 2006, but this whole match just screamed 'mark showcase'. Not a match you need to go out of your way to watch.

Hay un montón de referencias a WWE y una que otra a AEW, si bien tienen un propósito paródico acaban volviéndose una especie de tributo involuntario a la primera (hay un cameo bastante vergonzoso por parte de Virgil que recibió cero reacción del público) y la verdad es que solo hace ver a GCW como una compañia más barata de lo que ya es.

Once Mark Sterling came out and had Vincent, the train was off the rails and the match should have wrapped up. Somehow went like another 4/5 minutes.
