Things pick up a touch once Dickison goes to work on Mox's leg. The strike trade-off spot felt quite out of place for a shoot-style promotion and would have felt more at home during a NJPW match. Dickison certainly impressed me more than Mox here. It wasn't a bad match, but it needed some more explosiveness to really win me over. |

Und dann geht das Match fünfzehn Minuten und ist komplett unspannend und die Fans freuen sich simpel nur über die Anwesentheit des Superstars und chanten This is Awesome? Und ich nippe an meinem heißen Pfefferminztee und begreife komplett nicht, was daran jetzt Awesome ist. Ich sag mal so - ich habe es nicht gefühlt; geschweige den begriffen. Dickinson mit der Handbremse im Bereich stiffness, weil besser is'. Keine Ruchlosigkeit, keine wirkliche Heat, keine Intensität. Hat mich hart unbefriedigt. |

Even still it's a borderline great match that delivers everything you'd expect between these two in a setting like Bloodsport. Yeah maybe Moxley doesn't hit as hard as someone like Suzuki would've but he more than holds up his end of the bargain (while also making this match feel a million times more special than if it had been Dickinson vs. anyone else) and the Dirty Daddy, in the biggest match of his life, delivers yet another top notch performance in the GCW setting. The biggest flaw of the match honestly is the Bloodsport style; if these two had done a regular, New Japan style match I think it would've been even better. Regardless this is still a ton of fun with the best atmosphere of The Collective weekend, which is saying a lot about how special this match felt and how big a star Moxley is at the moment. |

Moxley tried his best to adapt to the style of the show and his opponent, he sold big for Dickinson and brought some star presence. But he just wasn't good at mat-wrestling aspects of the match. It was lacking in quality and quite boring to watch as a result. Dickinson wasn't exactly dragged down either. Neither seemed to get a good sense of flow or be able to translate their charisma to the match until it basically became a normal match with chops and lariats - which I thought were the strongest parts of the match. Like I said, it was a good effort but it was a miss of a main event for me. **3/4 |

Mox knew he was in a fight, and Chris Dickinson gave him a hell of a fight. Mox got frustrated about not being able to fight outside the ring, having to withstand heavy punishment to his legs by Dickinson, before finding a way to apply the Bulldog Choke for the win. A tremendous main event, and one of the best matches of The Collective weekend. |
