[6.0] "Mox didn't impress me all that much on the mat. I thought the first part of this felt bland and lifeless. Things pick up a touch once Dickison goes to work on Mox's leg. The strike trade-off spot felt quite out of place for a shoot-style promotion and would have felt more at home during a NJPW match. Dickison certainly impressed me more than Mox here. It wasn't a bad match, but it needed some more explosiveness to really win me over."
[6.0] "With a big fight feel, but it seemed that both of them had to learn a thing or two about this environment, that is special and different. Moxley seems a little bland with his strikes and didn't help. Dickinson also needs to improve his back suplexes, they are dangerous as the opponents fall back of the head-first. For me, it didn't click."
[7.0] "Good martial art style match. Though the length is a little short, the two wrestlers made good use of every second to bring out a solid fight. Moxley dedicated to make Dickinson looked good during the middle. Very good contest. (***3/4)"
[8.0] "That was a good brawl with a MMA style, I love the Bloodsport, this main event was a great technical contest with a good ending. Dickinson has the Spotlight to face Moxley and he did a great job. That match resume what the Bloodsport is all about. ***3/4"
[8.0] "Moxley has had such a great 2020 that this match, compared to the rest of his work, isn't quite top tier. Even still it's a borderline great match that delivers everything you'd expect between these two in a setting like Bloodsport. Yeah maybe Moxley doesn't hit as hard as someone like Suzuki would've but he more than holds up his end of the bargain (while also making this match feel a million times more special than if it had been Dickinson vs. anyone else) and the Dirty Daddy, in the biggest match of his life, delivers yet another top notch performance in the GCW setting. The biggest flaw of the match honestly is the Bloodsport style; if these two had done a regular, New Japan style match I think it would've been even better. Regardless this is still a ton of fun with the best atmosphere of The Collective weekend, which is saying a lot about how special this match felt and how big a star Moxley is at the moment."
[5.0] "Probably Mox's worst match since leaving WWE. He just doesn't know how to grapple unfortunately, and he's exposed even more when trying to call a match on the fly."
[6.0] "6/10 sounds about right. This was a solid time from bell to bell, but nothing I will most likely remember come the years end. Dickinson vs. Moxley is a match-up that is capable (especially in a setting like Bloodsport) of better things, but like I implied, this was still suuuuuper solid all the way through."
[9.0] "No doubt this is the match of the weekend. Moxley did a brilliant work in his return to the indies against and physical and violent Dickinson. Both guys shone like the stars they are and hope this helps Dickinson to get more of the recognition he deserves."
[9.0] "Strong fight, loves how both superstars presented themselves as superstar, it was engaging throughout. What I would note is the commentary really managed to enhance the bout, great!"
[9.0] "Top class match, focusing on grappling and positioning, as is the case with Bloodsport matches. The commentary adding tidbits about Moxley's career path and motivation made it even better."
[5.0] "Okay, it can be saved from the "big fight feel" and all of that stuff, we know that this is also a replacement of Josh Barnett match (I hope to see it next year) so... The fact is that there aren't rememberable exchanges and it leaves you just like "okay... "."
[5.0] "A disappointment for me. It was a good effort by both in the match. Moxley tried his best to adapt to the style of the show and his opponent, he sold big for Dickinson and brought some star presence. But he just wasn't good at mat-wrestling aspects of the match. It was lacking in quality and quite boring to watch as a result. Dickinson wasn't exactly dragged down either. Neither seemed to get a good sense of flow or be able to translate their charisma to the match until it basically became a normal match with chops and lariats - which I thought were the strongest parts of the match. Like I said, it was a good effort but it was a miss of a main event for me. **3/4"
[4.0] "A bad match. I'm disappointed. I watched this match with my friend. I don't understand how you can evaluate this match with 2 stars. I don't recommend it to anyone..."
[9.0] "Those who said Jon Moxley was full on sports entertainment following his WWE run and his current stint with AEW were silenced here. Mox knew he was in a fight, and Chris Dickinson gave him a hell of a fight. Mox got frustrated about not being able to fight outside the ring, having to withstand heavy punishment to his legs by Dickinson, before finding a way to apply the Bulldog Choke for the win. A tremendous main event, and one of the best matches of The Collective weekend."
