[7.0] "I generally like Cody. I really like Gunther/WALTER. Any match in this particular venue is gonna have lousy vibes unfortunately. The match is still good, these guys know their stuff, but feels like less than their full capability together."
[9.0] "One of my dream matches ever since the 2023 Royal rumble and boy did it blow away my expectations. Big fight feel. With both Cody and Gunther as champions of their respective brands at the time, the fact that triple nose found a way to make this match happen via the crown jewel title that was introduced is pretty beast. Definitely understand the negative feelings regarding the concept but Cody and Gunther did their thing making this feel like a big deal to determine the best of the best. The story heading into this match with Gunther calling Cody a secondary champion and putting it out there that he was gonna put him to sleep, his overconfidence and arrogance ended up being his undoing once again, just like what happened at wrestlemania 40 with Sami. Gunther usually has a variety of ways to put away his opponent but when it came to this match, he was dead set on wanting to win via the chokehold since he called his shot and it cost him. What makes the callback of the finish even better is that Gunther disrespected Bret Hart when he mockingly told him that Goldberg was his favourite wrestler when they were face to face in Calgary. Bret is also on record for not liking Gunther's style of wrestling. Look it up if you didn't know about that story already. So the fact that Gunther lost because of a Bret Hart callback makes the finish of the match even more satisfying that adds more fuel to the fire of when they eventually fued again in the future for something more meaningful. Let's go back to the beginning tho, the crowd was electric before Gunther and Cody even locked up with one another. Loved how this one started during the feeling out process, the matwork was sublime. Arm drags, headlock takedowns, classical main event wrestling elements sprinkled in the early going, with an early stalemate after a cross rhodes and sleeper hold attempt were reversed by each other. Then Cody looks to pick up the pace after blocking a chop attempt by going for his patented bionic elbow until Gunther responds with his patented chop. For a slight second it looked like Gunther was about to take control of the match, until Cody responds with a flurry of moves on the moves looking to bring the big man down. Forearm, closeline attempt, drop-down uppercut, then he finally brings the big man down to the outside, then proceeds to hit Gunther with his signature disaster kick on the apron. Looking to continue to pick up the pace, Cody then attempts to hit Gunther with a tope before Gunther gets back in the ring in time with another sleeper hold attempt but Cody manages to reverse it. He then attempts to go for the tope again, but Gunther cuts it off perfectly, catching him in mid air, slamming his back against the apron, and hitting Cody with a vicious chop, and a body slam onto to the floor. Just like that, Gunther takes control of the match for the first time. Gunthers control segment was very arrogant and deliberate, going after the back, taking his time punishing Cody. Cody then attempts several hope/comeback spots in the process but his back was in too much pain and Gunther was able to cut him off perfectly whenever he was attempting to get back in the match. But then was able to find some daylight like he always does when Gunther was attempting to continue to chop him down by countering into a body slam. The sense of urgency picks up even more after this. Just when Cody thought he created some separation, Gunther responded with another body slam before Cody's cut him off when he was attempting to go for the splash. Cody then hits Gunther with a super plex after both men were struggling jockeying for position in which Cody was able to win. Now Codys getting in his big comeback after both men take a second to sell the impact from the move and what both men have been through in the match thus far. Both men sprinkle in their signature offence along the way, with a beatiful example of what struggle in wrestle is supposed to look like. During the closing stretch after both men have seemingly emptied out their best offence in order to win the match, Gunther attempted to go for the sleeperhold again after reversing the super Cody cutter, but Cody was much more prepared for it this time around after the previous attempts from Gunther, and because of that, Cody was able to win the match the way he did. Gunther's reaction after the match said it all for me. Cody eliminated Gunther in b2b rumbles and beat him him for the Crown Jewel title. Just like what he mentioned during the lead up to the show, Gunther has the tendency of breaking the way he did. So when Gunther gets his win back in the future, it's gonna be bittersweet. The scary part is that they have a much better match in them. Match of the fuckin night and one of the best matches of the year. Two of the very best in the world. This wasn't your typical modern day epic with a bunch of near falls/false false finishes. They saved those the deeper the match went to make the moves that happened on those near falls more meaningful. This was a match where two guys where going at it until the other made a mistake where they were able to capitalize. This had such an old school feel, a throwback match if you will. Just another reason why I appreciate this match so much. It didn't drag. They could of kept wrestling for like another 15 minutes which was the best part about this match. Brilliant, just brilliant. This match won't get the love it deserves either because of where it took place and the circumstances involving this match, and some of the other reasons I mentioned regarding it not being being your typical modern day "epic". this was a masterclass in what simple wrestling looks like and how it can be done in high fashion. Cody winning here also established him as the top champion of the two, and considering the fact that he dethroned Roman's 1316 day title run, that had to be the case. With even more added context with who Cody lost the title to. ****1/2"
[8.0] "I couldn't care less about the Crown Jewel Championship, but these two did as much as they could to give this a big match feel. Gunther insisting on winning via submission and it costing him was very on brand. Never really felt bored, and the finish was done very well. (8.5/10)"
[10.0] "This was a great idc. As someone who's been consuming a lot of old school wrestling recently, this shit satisfied me to the core. Slow and methodical. Didn't feel choreographed. Felt more close to a physical competition. Glad there's some wrestlers left who still atleast try. Others just don't care no more cuz they know that the audience is aware of it being scripted. So they don't even try. These two however, are levels above everyone else in terms of in-ring psychology. Edit: I originally gave it a 10. Then realized I might be overrating it so changed it to 8. But you know what? Fuck it. Imma give it 10 again idc."
[6.0] "Why the hell this match is so much overrated? It was so fucking boring, without any story, without any pathos, without any useful meaning and also with a stupid ending. Why the fuck a match between Gunther and Cody Rhodes has to end with a roll-up? Porco de Dio, like we usually say in Italy? (6/10)"
[7.0] "That was a good match, probably the best in the PPV. I just wished that Gunther had won this one, he needed it more than Cody; his WWE World Heavyweight Championship really feels like a B Championship, and every chance WWE have to elevate the belt, they blow it. And it's a shame because, considering the whole 2024, Gunther is the best wrestler in WWE (way better than Cody, considering they in-ring work). (***3/4)."
[7.0] "I feel bad rating this match lower than the Reed/Rollins and triple threat matches on this card because, from a story/psychology perspective, it's much better worked than the entire card. Gunther changing his finisher completely to try to beat the champ and Cody only winning through a fluke roll up is clever and manages to make both people look strong. Unfortunately it's a stakeless exhibition match for a meaningless title."
[8.0] "Definitely the best match on the show, in my opinion. I was hoping for a little more here, considering how good they both are, the time they were given, and their previous encounters in the Royal Rumble, but this was still really good. I don't really know that I like Rhodes beating GUNTHER, though, even if it was a "lucky" finish. I feel like GUNTHER needed this win more, personally."
[7.0] "I think this match suffers from its own nature, an unnecessary concept of having a Super Champion, sacrificing the credibility of the losing champion, thus making that championship feel like a secondary prize instead of a main one. Clearly WWE didn't care enough to make this match truly stand out and both wrestlers had to do whatever they could with what they had to make this as good as possible. I liked how Gunther and Cody built the feud in a very traditional and chivalrous way (despite the go-home SmackDown and the nonsensical Cody attack in their SmackDown face-off), and how they clearly differentiated their opposite roles as World Champions (Gunther only caring about money, being the best wrestler, fame and power, rejecting other responsabilities as the top guy of RAW and World Champion that Cody fully embraces, which makes him the Ace of the company). Trying to sell this as a "What-if" naming dream World Champion vs World Champion matches of the past between interpromotional wrestlers when this is just interbrand just looks more of a desperate way of selling this match as bigger than it really is. That kind of Champion vs Champion match today would've been WWE vs AEW or NJPW, Gunther vs Sabre, Cody vs Moxley. If you really want to make this match truly big you'll have to treat it like it was a boxing match, have some big press conferences, have the champions promote the match on prime-time / late-night shows, make it truly look like it's a one of a kind event. With what they barely did this is the best you were going to get, as there is no more deepness to make you feel invested in it. I think the crowd also kinda took the attention of the match away with their chants, having Gunther and Cody stop way too many times so the fans could have their moments, thus killing the pace of it. Cody focusing so hard on working on the arm of Gunther since the beginning was the best way he could start the match, trying to hurt the most used weapon of the World Champion so he struggles with the chops, lariats and submission attempts later on. On the other hand, Gunther began working on Cody's neck and head, so he gets tired faster to facilitate the submission victory he aimed for, then transitioning to a lower-back torture with (way too many) multiple body slams and a Boston Crab that, in a very Minoru Suzuki style that I never liked, quickly transitioned into another move, this being the Gojira Clutch, which obviously as the dynamic of the match suggested, Cody would fight against. At the end of the day, Gunther's defeat here wasn't just a loss where he clearly was the worst of the two champions, as he lost more because he made a little but fatal mistake than because Cody was truly better than him, but in a business and in a company where perception is one of the most important things, this doesn't make Gunther look really good as World Champion. I'll always love Gunther being a gentleman against those who prove to be worthy opponents, that's the character Gunther should really be, not the coward heel he is being portrayed on weekly shows. They did the best they could with what they had, but this Crown Jewel Titles idea is not it at all (*** 1/2)"
[5.0] "this is the third best fight at the gala but it's not good but it's not bad either, for me the rating is 5, it's kind of average and here we have an example of such awareness, I think it's worthy of 5, so typical I'm not a big fan, I saw their fights and they were better, so unfortunately"
[9.0] "There something about this that I loved. I don't even know why, I wasn't attracted by what was on the line, but they captured me for all the length of the match. They were awesome, for me this could be the best match in Crown Jewel history. It had an amazing finale, so masterfully clean with the transition from Cutter to Sleeper and finally to the roll-up. A classic."
"Great match! Definitely a classic. Cody outsmarting Gunther with a roll up was such perfect ending. Surely great beginning for a later feud. Although the title was terrible blatancy."
[9.0] "This is exactly what I expected this match to be, and it was exactly what it needed to be. I thought this was amazing, and the finish was perfectly executed. Such a great showcase for the two top champions in WWE, quite possibly the entire world. So so great in every aspect as a straight forward and competitive wrestling match."
[7.0] "Wasn't a big fan of the huge beginning stretch of Cody outwrestling Gunther and would have rather enjoyed him getting slapped across the ring for twenty minutes but I guess he's the champ so whatever."
[9.0] "The match lived up to my expectations and was a very fun match between the two world champions. Cody outsmarting Gunther with a roll up was unique but it worked out in the end. Cody is the face of the company and I get he needs the wins. Gunther is still one of the best talents on the roster today and will continue to prove that even after this loss. Amazing match overall."
[8.0] "This match definitely had potential 10/10 but it was done to get past an unimportant show and no one cares. If we evaluate the match on its own; the inring level was good, the ending was ridiculous. 7.5 to 8.0"
[8.0] "4 stars. Fundamentally solid match with great spots and solid story telling. Good selling as well. Finish protected both guys yet made Cody look strong as he is now the second man to pin Gunther on the main roster"
[9.0] "The match lived up to the hype, delivering an intense showdown between the two competitors. The Saudi crowd brought an electric energy that fueled the atmosphere. The bout began with solid mat wrestling, gradually building in intensity as Gunther unleashed brutal chops while Cody countered with explosive disaster kicks. Gunther excelled at cutting off Codys momentum, using powerful chops and sleeper holds to keep control. The entire match revolved around Gunthers promise to put Cody to sleep, a theme that built tension as his overconfidence ultimately led to his downfall. The finish was the kind of technical mastery Bret Hart would appreciate. Still, it felt like the match could have used another five minutes to reach its full potential."
[7.0] "A mixed bag here, if you simply view it in a pure wrestling context, Cody Rhodes and Gunther worked the old school style into something truly special, building at the perfect moments to really keep the crowd engaged, appearing as a genuine struggle for both. However, the surrounding circumstances of this match, with it being champion v. champion with a relative lack of true build, there wasnt a ton of meat to really sink your teeth into besides seeing these two have a competitive contest. In a vaccuum, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this, but I would argue this was a big enough match between two of WWEs top guys that it shouldve been saved for a more special occasion and better story. Thats not to say this was a bad match by any means, it just felt a bit inconsequential which I never would have thought I would say about a Cody v. Gunther match. The match was relatively well structured and everything they performed was crisp and clean, with some good technical exchanges, but even at twenty-three minutes, this still felt like they had more to go and was building to an epic in the third act, but then Cody got the surprise pin. I still had fun with the match as a whole, even with the relatively long winded sleeper hold by Gunther. The ending was always going to be decisive because of the nature of a champion versus champion match, but I really do think I would have rather seen a Gunther win, both to establish the World Title on an even field with the WWE Title, as well as continuing to have Gunther look nearly unbeatable. The finish itself was an odd booking decision, as it made Rhodes look lucky, not really helping either man. Overall, a great match, but really lacking a wider importance that should have been saved for a greater stage at a different time. (***1/2)"
[10.0] "This match was a modern day technical masterclass from these two men in terms of in ring psychology and paced work. Gunther very clearly wanted to humiliate Cody, determing that the only way he would win is with the sleeper hold, something Gunther never does, as he consistently switches his finisher to fit what the match deems as the best option for him winning. Him becoming emotional and determined on choking Cody out was his downfall, as he continued to go to it even when Cody proved he knew how to counter it. Cody continues to be consistent as ever, and proves why he is the 3-star general. I say that with the upmost sincerity, as I believe his ability to be consistently good puts him in matches like this where he is able to raise to the level of his opponent and give us a masterclass like this."
[10.0] "Who cares if there isn't really any story or if it's about a basically useless championship this is absolutely amazing. The whole match is such an incredible back and forth you had no idea who would win and you thought it could go either way. It was kind of a lose lose situation because it would damage the champion but I think the ending kinda made it better showing that Gunther was most likely never going to make the mistake of trying to go for one specific finish again and become a stronger champion. 5 Stars"
[9.0] "Great match from Cody and Gunther, the two megastar and two of the best wrestler in WWE at the moment. I'm sure one day they will do better match with better storyline. I mean they managed to give this masterpiece for that Saudi belt. Simply lovely match."
[9.0] "Both the booking over who will be the first ever Crown Jewel Champion and end result of the match made it all feel like a double edged sword, but this was still a fantastic match between both men no matter what became of it with fantastic in ring action and psychology between them."
[3.0] "As a match that was held in Main Event and it was champion vs champion, it was a very slow match and I didn't like the process of the match at all, and the end of the match was nonsense in its own way, but still, it was very good that Gunther lost by surprise."
[9.0] "One hell of a match! It would be difficult to not book Cody to win, but the way Gunther was defeated definitely protects him which was a necessity here. The handshake at the end of the match was a perfect addition."
[7.0] "Obviously a very enjoyable match because duh. Very physical match and honestly had no clue who was going to win this match which was great. I just dont care about the crown jewel title crap so happy its gone for the next year. Also very underwhelming that we had no sort of kevin owens involvement i mean that is what i was looking forward to the most. Still very very enjoyable match. 4 stars"
[7.0] "It appeared they held back for a later feud. This was just to whet appetites. It wasn't a bad match at all and I like the finish but it was a bit sluggish at times and the belt they were fighting over looks like absolute shit."
[7.0] "I expected a lot from this match, the storyline was really good and I had a lot of expectations. Unfortunately, the match was really slow in the first minutes. I also admit that the babyface Cody Rhodes is very annoying, he is ultra sanitized and bland. I may be biased because I love Gunther and his chops always make me react so much. The end of the match is much more dynamic and it's better until the disastrous end of the match. A monumental booking error, Gunther and especially the World Heavyweight title needed this victory to increase the prestige of the title. So Cody won the same guy who said that win the Crown Jewel title is a super honorific title and that it's an honor and blablabla. That's pissed me off. Gunther was not humiliated, thanks !"
[8.0] "Decent match, but we all know that Cody and Gunther still have a better match in them. From the rushed build-up to an almost heatless match, this still was very good for what it is, but I just hope they can have a proper feud in the future."
[10.0] "I really liked Cody/Gunther It was like, effortlessly great. Two high end wrestlers just grappling and wrestling. Came off super natural. Very classical style exhibition of main event wrestling, influenced by stuff from 40-45 years ago. The best main roster PPV matches are 1. Punk/Drew III Atlanta 2. Gunther/Zayn WM N1 3. Cody/Roman WM N2 4. Cody/Styles France 5. Gunther/Orton Saudi 6. Gunther/Cody Saudi 7. Cody/Kevin Owens Berlin 8. Cody/Styles Scotland 9. Priest/Rhea v Liv/Dom Berlin 10. Womens MITB HM: Priest/Gunther, Bayley/Iyo, Punk/Drew II, Mens MITB, Randy/KO v Solo/Tama, Priest/Drew"
[8.0] "I am so genuinely shocked by how low this rating is, this match was awesome. No chaos, no interference, just a straigh up match between two of the best. Classic babyface vs. Heel match; Gunther with his overwhelming power and technical mastery vs. Cody's speed and psychology. Story of the match is that Gunther was going to beat Cody with the sleeper, the move that's won him his last three matches, and Cody had an answer for it every time, but Gunther was too arrogant to change tactics and it led to his downfall. And the crazy thing about this match is that it didn't feel like this was all these two had to offer. Looking forward to their next match."
[8.0] "An interesting scenario for this pairing's first singles match, with the framework actively calling for an exhibition of sorts. That's indeed the play call too, which highlights this pairing's raw ingredients without fully extending towards their presumed approach in a WrestleMania main event. The result appears to be slightly polarising, but I had a wonderful time with this match. It's such a simple main event clash, sporting very few spare parts while focusing on two or three key ideas. The choke is central among those, ultimately paying off on the finish. Ideally, this pairing's eventual programme will be shaped by a more defined conflict, which will only enhance this meeting's place in history. It's a high level spar, two of the promotion's top stars taking a direct approach to their first encounter. ****"
[7.0] "Really good main event that was worked totally professionally and crisp. The psychology was flawless as Cody's selling and well-timed comebacks were consistent and made sense without any moments that took me out of the moment. Gunther is the best at these types of matches where he can just do his thing because it is a timeless style that works with any opponent. Only issues I have are with the crowd that just sings for long periods of time instead of actually reacting to the match, which sounds petty but it totally changes the atmosphere of a big match. There was also room for an extra gear that they could have found for a more climatic finishing stretch, not a problem in this scenario though. If WWE promoted this type of presentation more I think wrestling would be in a much better place. ***3/4"
[10.0] "The low rating for this seems to be on the basis that the match shouldnt have been on a B PLE which is a silly argument and doesnt effect the match quality at all and shows the potential that these two have for an extended program next year if and when they are on the same roster. Two of the best wrestlers in the world having an absolute banger, an absolute 10/10"
[10.0] "Two excellent professional wrestlers just professionally wrestling. This match probably won't be for the ones who want their wrestling to be non stop action. Since the very beginning they told you exactly the kind of wrestlers they are, they literally spent like 5 mins just grappling, headlocks, arm drag counters & in today's wrestling you rarely see wrestlers do this style and when they do, it looks like a practiced routine but not with Cody & Gunther. Everything they did in this match, it felt like they were fighting. You could see the anger, the struggle, the frustration, not just in the face but physically too. As for the story of the match, it was as simple as it could get. Gunther throughout the build was extremely confident, almost overly to the point he did a sit down before the match where he called his winning shot. He declared that he'll make Cody pass out with the sleeper (and to his credit, he has beaten several people with the hold). So, throughout the match he kept going for the sleeper but every single time, Cody had a counter yet Gunther refused to change his game plan. His arrogance cost him the match just like Sami at WM. The nod to Bret/Piper with the finish was perfect considering the segment Gunther had w/ Bret a few weeks back. Overall, excellent match and this wasn't even the best version of what they can do together. I'm sure we'll see this match again (probably a couple more times) & it will be even better."
[8.0] "[4.0*] I thought this match was fantastic, definitely my MOTN with only the Triple Threat being close to it. This was a very old-school worked match where they did not need to do super fancy stuff to keep it great, both guys are such naturally incredible workers that this just automatically worked perfectly for me. I had a blast from start to finish, it felt like every single move mattered. This had some cool smart-wrestling aspects like Cody escaping the Rear Naked Choke a couple of times before he ultimately used the Bret vs Piper WM 8/Bret vs Austin SvS 96 roll-up reversal to get the win in a pretty cool way. I disliked the result A LOT and I thought that Gunther should 100% have won cleanly, but if the decision was for Cody to win, then I prefer a smart finish with a classic reference that does not make Gunther look weak than a triple Cross-Rhodes combo. Despite from the winner itselt, this match was just perfectly booked for me, and if the winner HAD to be Cody like for some Saudi order or something, than they did it on the best way possible too."
[8.0] "I thought this was pretty good. the build up too even with it being for a Saudi show made sense with Gunther being jealous of Rhodes. I think of this highly but im not sure why I cant rank higher., I think its because I would have preferred if Gunther won. high 8. will come back to see how it holds up on rewatch"
[8.0] "I liked this match. Cody Rhodes and Gunther is a dream match, so obviously it would be good. Cody and Gunther were pretty technical. Cody hit a few Cross Rhodes. Gunther hit his powerbomb. The spot where Cody Rhodes went for a Cody Cutter, and then Gunther countered it with his rear chokehold was a crazy move. The roll-up makes Gunther look credible still. Cody wins. I do think that the match should've had an interference from Kevin Owens, and he'd attack Cody, allowing Gunther to win, but it was still good. I'd give this match a 8/10. 8/10."
[4.0] "Slow match and never got going.Just headlocks and Cody trying to fight back for an exhausting 23 minutes. My mind has changed on this Crown Jewel concept, I don't mind it.The ending angers me though, for someone like Gunther.Hes only lost what like 3 matches in the WWE and now 4 with a crappy leverage pin whilst almost being put to sleep by the Ring General.I thought there'd be Goldberg or even Bloodline interference but noo it was just this absolute serving of straight ass. This ain't Olympic wrestling this is WWE, gimme fast action that I expect Hunter.Overall, poor match."
[7.0] "I had a lot of expectations for this one, and it was good, I liked it, but considering how big of a fan I am of these two wrestlers, I was definitely expecting more. The match was super smart and enjoyable, they worked an old-school style with a clear psychology, maybe the natural chemistry isn't the best, but the stuff they did with the rear naked choke was awesome, Cody had a counter for everything and Gunther was getting impatient, showed how big of a deal and a great strategist Cody is, super tough to beat, he countered the chop, the powerbomb and a lot of chokes. In the end, Cody won after a nice counter, it was creative and a great callback to some legendary matches, but I definitely disliked Gunther losing, he should've won, Cody already won a lot and he didn't needed the win, it wasn't the moment to pin Gunther, but unfortunately they did and the event ended on a really bad note for me, because of the result, the match was great, it wasn't brilliant because the natural chemistry wasn't there, but it was solid as hell - {***1/2}"
[7.0] "While maybe under delivering, this was a classic WWE style main event. Gunther continues building on his reputation as one of the best in the world, Cody remains one of the best at doing very little and making it seem like a lot. Good and entertaining main event that carried after the nightmare of the first hour and a half."
[6.0] "Not a bad main event. I was more entertained by the US Title match earlier in the night though. The wrestling was good. I liked seeing Gunther go for the sub. There aren't enough sub finishes in the WWE these days. Quality in ring: 1.5/4. Stakes: 2/2. Justification 1/1. Suspense: 1/1. Place on the card: .5/1. Bonus: None Total: 6/10."""
"Match of the night, some of you would say that Gunther should have won the match, but Cody needed to show some humility to Gunther and remind everyone why he beat Roman and become the Undisputed WWE Champion. The handshake at the end was perfect, both wrestlers showing some respect for each other"
[8.0] "[4.5 Stars] A very good match, even if I would have preferred Cody to have passed out in Gunther's Sleeper, the result is still 100% logical and didn't make me forget the good twenty minutes I enjoyed - they managed to protect Gunther in defeat and that was very important. It's my match of the night [****.5]."
[8.0] "The idea of a methodical, old-fashioned confrontation, some would say, wasn't so bad, but it perhaps lacked the variety and change of pace to make it a great match, given its length. The finish was surprising, but perhaps a little easy. That said, the sleeper work was well done both before and during the match, confirming a rivalry very much focused on the technical skills of the two wrestlers. On the other hand, fighting for this dirty money belt wasn't as exciting as a good old-fashioned championship match. In-ring quality: 2/4. Stakes: 1.75/2. Justification: 1/1. Suspense: 1/1. Place on the card: 1/1. Bonus/Malus: None. Total: 7.75/10. Match seen on WWE Network."
[5.0] "This match had ok logic, but it never picked up steam IMO. Neither wrestler pulled out any exciting offense until the very end. I found the match disappointing after their interactions in the Royal Rumble. It really feels like Cody needs to vary his moveset more."
[8.0] "That was the best match of the night for me. It had that classic wrestling feelhard-hitting and intense, with Cody fighting through everything Gunther threw at him. The Saudi crowd was on fire, and the match just kept building up, though some parts felt a bit slow. The roll-up finish was a surprise, but it made sense to maintain Gunther's prestige as world champion. I'd love to see these two go at it again."
