[4.0] "Not a very good clash I'm afraid. Austin vs Pillman is good but skip the rest, including the main event which should have been so much better. At least the show had Mean Gene on it which almost brought my score up to a 5, but this really had some stinkers on it to start so I can't give it more than a 4."

[6.0] "The first two matches sucked. Honestly, I felt like I was in for a horrible Clash. However, they managed to turn things around starting with Austin vs. Pillman. The U.S. Title match was solid at best, but the fans were into the Dusty Rhodes/Assassin confrontation, and it was miles better than the first two matches anyway. Austin vs. Pillman was the best match on the show, with Flair vs. Vader taking the second place. WCW extended a few rivalries during this Clash of the Champions, which is always a positive. Overall, it ended up being a really nice event."

[4.0] "Without Pillman Vs. Austin, this clash was dull and uneventful. Dustin Rhodes was so overexposed at this point, I was ready for him to leave and I like him. Not the best show."

[6.0] "A fairly solid Clash. Austin vs. Pillman was the best of the night, but the Flair-Vader main event, Regal vs Badd and Rude vs Hawk were decent as well, and the Rude-DBS build worked well. Rhodes vs Orndorff could've been better - it mostly felt like stalling for the Dusty-Assassin angle - and the Shockmaster match was an OK squash with some entertaining commentary poking fun at the Shockmaster's infamous debut and how he now enters wearing a hard hat. Better than the previous Clash; not as good as the two before that - but a decent watch."

[3.0] "This was not a good Clash with really nothing worth watching. Topped off by a Flair vs Vader match that I hated."

[5.0] "Kind of an average show to say the least. Austin/Pillman and Flair/Vader were of course very good matches, but the latter would go on to have WAY better match anyway. Rest of the card is just there."

[3.0] "A pretty poor show, laden with the usual Dusty screwjobs, although, wouldn't you know it, the guys tight with the booker scored clean or relatively clean pins."

[6.0] "Not bad as a supershow. Flying Brian vs Steve Austin and Ric Flair vs Vader are two classics, good matches, with great emphasys. I also enjoyed Lord Regal vs Johnny B Bad and Orndorff vs Dustin Rhodes. It's not a memorable show but it has some good points."

[7.0] "Rick Rude Vs Road Warrior Hawk *. The Shockmaster Vs The Equalizer 1/4. Lord Steven Regal Vs Johnny B. Badd **1/2. Steve Austin Vs Brian Pillman ****. Dustin Rhodes Vs Paul Orndorff **1/4. The Nasty Boys Vs Davey Boy Smith and Sting **. Ric Flair Vs Big Van Vader ***1/4. A really good show. The first two matches were horrible. Regal Vs Badd was descent. Austin and Pillman was a classic. Rhodes Vs Orndorff and the tag team match was okay. Flair vs Vader was really good."
