24.09.2025 | faumgn | | i was there! this was my first wrestling show i've been to live after being a fan for some years now. i had a great time, i think the pacing of the ppv was somewhat weird (mostly jericho's match being the semi-main) but i was really honored to be able to see bryan danielson wrestle his last full-time match. you could hear a pin drop in the tacoma dome when the match ended. a kid coming up the stairs afterward blurted out "BRYAN'S DEAD! " the takeshita-ricochet-ospreay match was especially exciting to see live, as was seeing jay white take on hangman adam page. 9/10.

14.08.2025 | JCarrier1990 | 8.0 | WrestleDream 2024 gives AEW fans another unforgettable night of professional wrestling. Nine matches and none of them are really bad, although the Young Bucks vs Private Party match was a bit deflating(the Dynamite rematch soon after this is much better). But like any good PPV, you gotta focus on the highs. There's a really good opener here with Hangman in the heel role following his destruction of Swerve last month at All Out, with the sneaky Jay White getting a win here before they run it back again at Full Gear. Mariah May has a great match with my girl Willow. Willow is one of AEW's great babyfaces, its impossible not to root for her, and Mariah gives an absolute heel champ superstar performance tonight. Match of the night once again goes to an Ospreay match, an excellent three way involving him, Ricochet, and Takeshita. So many fun sequences, feats of strength and athleticism. Takeshita bringing the table out early and the match constantly building suspense over when its gonna get used was brilliant. The big finish is cheap, but it leads to an absolutely great feud with Fletcher and gets the belt on my favorite wrestler rn Takeshita, so I'll take it. The audience was a bit dead after that for Hologram vs the Beast Mortos, which was too bad cuz it was a very fun Lucha battle. Darby vs Brody King was a classic big guy vs little guy match, although Darby hitting two moves at the end to win seems a bit much. And finally, we got the main event. Danielson vs Moxley. These guys have had a few bouts in AEW, but never with stakes this big, and I think this is their best work together. Right from the start with Mox attacking Danielson before he even finished his intro it was heated, with a lot of tense back and forth as "The Final Countdown" added to the tension. Danielson, the GOAT underdog babyface, perfectly works this match, taking control, feeding off the crowd, nailing his comeback spots. Moxley, I dont think he's been this good since his All Out match against Orange Cassidy. He's in excellent form here as the anti-pop dirty brawler, kicking out of three Busaiku Knees and slowly dismantling Danielson. Marina getting kicked out around the 3/4th mark was an excellent idea, gives you hope that maybe Bryan can win this. Danielson has made a career out of miracle comebacks; hell he wasn't even supposed to wrestle again before he came to AEW. He's been on burrowed time, and unfortunately it runs up tonight. His final dying grasps for the ropes, the audience cheering him on, before finally succumbing to Mox's submission - you can feel the air in the arena die. Its a tough, unforgettable ending, especially the brutal post match beatdown, as Danielson's own WrestleDream comes to an end.

27.12.2024 | celticinvader | 5.0 | The main event and the post match angle are some of my favourite things AEW have ever done, which is great but unfortunately the only thing worth watching on this PPV. The Darby/Brody match was great, but you've seen it before, and Jay/Hangman was pretty good too, but everything else ranged from fine to genuinely awful. Ospreay's worst match to date I think, the Bucks having yet another bad night, Jericho being Jericho, it's full of the worst stuff AEW has to offer in 2024.

Tolle Show von AEW.

19.11.2024 | Willie 19200 | 9.0 | Probably AEW's most consistent PPV this year with every match being anywhere between okay to amazing. It had the retirement of the greatest wrestler of all time, it had very good singles matches, my only issues were the TNT title match and the ROH title match because they weren't all that great. The rest of the show however, was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed it a lot and I definitely recommend it to people who enjoy in-ring wrestling. This show is one of the reasons why pro-wrestling is an amazing thing that everyone should enjoy.

09.11.2024 | DanTalksRasslin | 8.0 | A show that was pretty consistently good throughout, with a few forays into "great" territory, as well as a few slightly-questionable booking decisions - notably the three-way between Takeshita, Ospreay and the debuting Ricochet and the main event between Danielson and Moxley; I don't know that Mox would've been my first choice to end Danielson's full-time career, and I don't really know that he needed another title reign at this juncture, but the angle behind the match played out well. There's also a nice opener between White and Page (though, again, I wouldn't have had Page lose his first big PPV match after the big win over Swerve at All Out). The lucha match between Hologram and Mortos was also lots of fun, May-Nightingale and Allin-King were also good, and the rest was all solid. A strong show with a few notable highlights as well as a few booking nitpicks.

All of the in ring work is solid to great as to be expected with AEW, but some of these decisions made booking wise just has me in a total funk watching AEW lately. The Main Event especially, The Young Bucks and Jack Perry's stranglehold on titles, Chris Jericho in general, a lot of people that make me say please just go away taking up valuable TV time that could be used to build someone else up. |

21.10.2024 | ticks 333 | 6.0 | The only great match was the triple threat, and I really liked the women's match and the main event too, even though the endind wasn't great. The Young Bucks desperately need to lose those championships, I think all their matches have been pretty awful, especially this one, a boring confusing spotfest with way too many kick outs. Leaving that aside, the show was tolerable, but some questionable booking decisions and meaningless matches stopped this from being truly good. I don't understand why the hologram v beast mortos watch was in this, and why it was a 2 out of 3 falls. And why did hologram win? It's impossible to take him serious especially seeing him win against the monster that is the beast mortos. It's a disgrace that there was only 1 women's match in this card. I wasn't disappointed by this show, because this was kind of what i expected when I saw the card.
