[8.0] "Fun chaotic show here, just what you like to see from ECW. I really liked the Funk tag match, messy though it was, and the Taz/Smothers was a banger of a short match. Tag title match was excellent and Dudleyz/Gangstas was a crazy brawl."

[5.0] "CyberSlam 1997 is a maintenance show really, with all of the focus being on the Raw invasion and the pay per view in April, meaning that you don't really gain much from watching the show. The storyline advancement is minimal and there aren't any truly awesome matches to make up for that. Candido Vs Sabu is good, but not something you're going to want to go out of your way to see. As a result it's a thumbs in the middle show at best and I wouldnt recommend going out of your way to watch it"

[3.0] "Apart from a selection of awesome entrance music that they presumably didn't pay for, this was a pretty poor show. The best match was about 3 minutes long, Tracy Smother's debut against Taz, and the best promo was Tommy Rich's demented redneck crap. The rest was mostly bad, with the brawling and the stories being incoherent."

[7.0] "Overall, I enjoyed this show. I found the opening match to be my favorite. Dreamer/Funk vs Bulldozer/Raven match wasn't a great wrestling match, but I did think it told a great story. And Raven vs Tommy at this time is very entertaining. I think the show's Low-points were so short, due to being edited for 1 hour television shows, that I didn't find they bothered me as much as they would have otherwise. (Unsure if it is improper that I leave a review being that I watched it as the two episodes of Hardcore TV. 201 & 202. If it is, then I apologize. I did not have access to the DVD or VHS if those exist. ) The only other negative I really had was the music replacement of WWE Network really puts a major dampener on any ECW programming for me. I understand why it happens, And I don not hold this against the show in my review rating, but the Slow piano music funk gets stuck coming out to, and the Gansta's Segments, its not as much about the music, but the fact it causes the crowd to be taken out of the event's audio. Which in turn, makes everything feel like a WWE2k Video game until original audio is returned."
