[6.0] "At least two matches here are worth seeking out: the Okada/Ishii/Tana vs MCMG/Alexander Six-Man Title match (especially interesting with the NJPW vs Impact implication, and it being Alexander's first foray to Japan), and the Hiromu vs YOH vs Bailey three-way for the Jr Heavyweight Title. There are some other solid bouts as well - War Dogs vs Jet Setters, Tonga vs Finlay, the STRONG Tag Title and Wato/Umino/Nagata vs Strong Style were all decent enough. But the SANADA vs EVIL main event, while certainly not horrible, was a bit on the dull side and dragged way too long, and through much of the card - the first half especially - it was hard to shake a feeling of the company "going through the motions.""

We must wait for the BC vs Intergalactic Jet Setters to have good wrestling. It goes on pretty well even if nothing very memorable despite an excellent CHAOS vs The Motor City Machine Guns and Josh Alexander. The triple threat for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title was not bad but too long for what there is to keep (hoping that Taiji resumes his title). And the main event is a huge purge impossible to watch with so little in ring and so much unnecessary overbooking."

Not 5* and come on the midcard was too much for a tour - ending I almost felt asleep during the Road to - shows give something REALLY good here! Anyway if you have to watch a single match, look at EVIL vs SANADA despite it wasn't the best of the card; Red Shoes performance was all kinds of awesome. ***3/4"

Focusing on the positives, DRILLA is incredible and probably NJPWs best get this year for my money, the NEVER 6 man belts are as far as im concerned the most relevant they have ever been, SANADA v Naito was overall the best direction they could go in for WK"

The Main Event was both just as bad as I thought it would be, but also somehow surpassed my expectations by just going wild with the Lumberjack stipulation. Best match was either the Junior Tag Title match or the Never Six Man Title match. Not a must see show, but I did enjoy my time watching it."

It wasnt outright bad as most stuff was passable but the promotion feels cold and that was emphasised by the main event. A challenger with no credibility and a champion with no fire."

MOTN was somehow the NEVER 6 Man title match, (which was pretty damn good) but that should tell you all you need to know. Yuya joining J5G was great, and it was nice to see Ishimori back. The junior triple threat and junior tag were both solid too. Looking forward to Wrestle Kingdom."
