[7.0] "Entirely skippable save for the last two matches. The tag main was a legit MOTY nominee for me which helps, but man some of that undercard was really dull. 7.5/10"
[7.0] "The show concludes with its two best matches. Finlay vs. Ishii was an enjoyable battle that should go a ways towards solidifying Finlay's ascendancy in the post-White Bullet Club and further elevate his status, while the main event was an easy pick for match of the night (and one of the best tag matches in 2023 thus far) as Bishamon picks up a big win over a supergroup-type team in Tanahashi & Okada, with Okada's heelish side once again showing itself. The rest was mostly your standard NJPW undercard fare, though nothing outright bad and with a few performances standing out."
[6.0] "Good main event and Finlay vs Ishii was decent(with some interesting development for Finlay). Rush and Yoh vs Hiromu and Bushi wasn'd bad, either. The rest is really just your standard NJPW undercard fodder, and that includes a tournament match in Shota vs Yujiro, which got a little ugly at times. The main event must be one of the better NJPW tag matches in a while, especially among the heavyweights."
[8.0] "Good show. I love the Zack/Fujita stuff so its a real pleasure to see them opening every show on the tour. Finlay is an exciting addition to Bullet Club. Main event is electric, with some nail-biting near-falls."
[7.0] "Really mixed show that had me really under whelmed in the first half. After Henare's suprise pinfall on Shingo the show got going. LIJ V LiYOH was a fun preview tag and the the tournament matches started. Shota V Yujiro wasn't great but, it was short and nobody had any high hopes for it anyway. Finlay V Ishii was a really good match that showed us what to expect from Ishii while still showcasing Ishii as the most consistent wrestler of the decade. Then the main event which was a must-see title defense from an in-ring and storytelling aspect."
[9.0] "Great Anniversary event, Kosei Fujita & Zack Sabre Jr vs El Phantasmo & KENTA: An interesting opening match, ZSJ teaching Fujita was entertaining and Fujita showcasing his amateur wrestling skills was interesting (**1/4). The United Empire vs Satoshi Kojima, Toru Yano & Tama Tonga: A solid match where all 6 men managed to get a spot in at some point within the match and a solid preview for Toru Yano vs Mark Davis (**1/2). Dick Togo, EVIL & SHO vs El Desperado, Minoru Suzuki & Ren Narita: A match that started off underwhelming due to House Of Tortures underhanded tactics but that was to be expected, but got better towards the end (*3/4). The United Empire vs LIJ: United Empire looked dominant, surprised Henare got the pin, Henares alterations with Shingo Takagi were as physical as it could get (**3/4). Lio Rush & YOH vs Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI: This match proves that its not all about quantity but quality, as this match was extremely great, surprised it was a mid card match (***3/4). Shota Umino vs Yujiro Takahashi: Not a match worthy of being a match in the New Japan Cup as Yujiro Takahashi is not a worthy wrestler, Pieter would have been a more worthy opponent for Shota Umino, Takahashi couldn't even win despite having help from SHO (*). David Finlay vs Tomohiro Ishii: A hard hitting match where both gave as good as they got, Finlay proved why he should be in the main event matches , and proved why he is rightly named the new leader of BULLET CLUB (****1/2). Bishamon vs Kazuchika Okada & Hiroshi Tanahashi: Great showing between the 2 teams, can't believe it only went 20 minutes, Bishamon proved why they are the best tag team in the world (****3/4)"
[7.0] "The latter half of the card (excepting the fine-at-best Umino match) is pretty decent, with a brilliant main event; yet, the atrocious undercard holds this show back from being great."
[7.0] "Last two matches are newsworthy and worth your time, especially that Main Event. If you're cherry-picking matches from the under-card, UE vs. LIJ was the stand-out match - pretty good from start to finish and unexpected result made it newsworthy/memorable."
[8.0] "Three good matches and a main event worthy of being an anniversary show main event. The Shota-Yujiro match seemed to bog the vibe down just a bit."
[8.0] "The final two matches are must see matches, the rest of the card was pretty good too, with a great opener and the only lowlights being the skippable HoT v Strong Style match and the very poor Shota v Yujiro. I had a good time watching this show, and recommend it. You absolutely should at least watch the Main Event, one of the greatest tag matches I've seen in a long time."
[8.0] "Very good anniversary show, MOTN is either main event or semi main event, Ill lean towards the main event. But the impact in the future from the semi main event, On entrance alone will be noteworthy."
