504.01.2020boymeetsworld9.0This show had special energy about it, but it had its problems - the start was delayed by ~30 minutes because the bottom rope was broken and it was never fixed, and Jim Valley on commentary tried his best to ruin the VOD experience, but the most important thing, the feeling of excitement, was there at all times and it overshadowed everything, because if pro-wrestling makes you feel good, then its fucking great. Jungle Kyona and Natsuko Tora got the crowd going in the opener, while their opponents were just there. And that was the theme of the show - all the guests tried to be 'too cool for school' (commentary included), but Stardom wrestlers created all the fun. Hana Kimura with her presence and Konami with her kicks made three-way fun, and nobody really cared about Britt Baker, Bobbi Tyler and Bea Priestley. I had no idea who Baker's tag team partner was - never heard about her before this match, never heard about her after. Hazuki/Dust didn't click and the broken ring didn't help either, which is very unfortunate. Watanabe/Hayashishita was a first-time-ever match, it was extremely simple, but the crowd really elevated the match and made it much better than what it actually was - it showed how much people were into the show. Main Event was my MOTN, Oedo Tai danced, Stars shined. The match was super exciting, everyone had their moments. Guardrails, in my opinion, really improved the match, making the action on the outside even more fun. I don't think Stardom shows in Japan will ever have them, but maybe one day. In the ring match flowed very well, and in the end Iwatani stood tall as the sole survivor. This show felt very important for every Stardom wrestler, and it translated, because I want to see another Wrestlemania Weekend show from Stardom. This show is not a 10 because of all the problems I've mentioned, but the feeling that this show created is the feeling that I want to have after watching a pro-wrestling show - I loved it, and I want more of it.

727.05.2019arrancar5.0This was a disappointing show, even if there was the charm factor of this being a Stardom show in front of a western audience. The first 3 matches were all skippable and essentially just time-wasters. Kyona & Tora vs Strong & Violette was bad. The gaijin team suffered from the 'running underwater' illness, and thus Kyona and Tora didn't excel to their usual extent. **. The 3-way tag match was an okay spotfest. Priestly and Tyler stood out the most. It definitely felt like everyone was holding back though. **3/4. Hazuki vs Dust was the worst match on the show because they took an impressive wrestler like Hazuki and gave her only FIVE MINUTES with a relative nobody in Dust (who didn't have the most impressive offence either). Hazuki was okay at times, but mostly got nothing in return. **. Momo vs Utami got some surprising praise given how ultimately underwhelming it was, though I still consider it a pretty good match and my MOTN. Momo had her nice stiff kicks, Utami had her great-looking holds, and both women displayed some impactful power moves, but they didn't structure the match in a way that would build up a dramatic atmosphere. Instead the match constantly kept getting hyped up only to quickly deflate. It was a shame too, because we saw some sparks of a great match in the final few minutes. ***1/4. The Stars vs Oedo Tai match was pretty good as well. Everyone got time to shine and was allowed to produce some unique interactions through their various pairings. The match started with a unit-vs-unit focus, consisting of constant tags and run-ins, which I liked, but then things picked up as wrestlers started getting longer focus segments. Oedo Tai's group attacks were great. Stars' own group attacks weren't as impressive, but each individual member made up for that with their own flashy attacks. ***1/4. The wholesome post-show goodbye led by Mayu was great, but that didn't stop this show being mediocre overall.

Three Way komplett unkoordiniert, richtig lahmes, fast teilnahmloses Brawling. War das Jet-Lag oder unvermögen? (3/4*). Ordentliches Spotwrestling (**1/2).

1708.04.2019rykejamal8.0I thought this was great. Opted to give it a chance and I'm glad I did. All matches delivered and I didn't find anything I didn't like, maybe just the length of the High Speed title match. For a title with that name, the match wasn't as speedy as I would've liked, or I would have been ok with the shorter match length. Top matches include the three way tag match, the closing elimination match which was fun, as well as the Wonder of Stardom title match, which was very well done and showed that you can have a good wrestling match without the need for excessive drama. Thoroughly impressed with Stardom. Also, Oedo Tai's entrance was just fantastic. I'm not into that culture but that was impressive. Good stuff!
1807.04.2019TylerWhite7.0Gute Stardom Show am Mania Wochenende.

2006.04.201920SaiDa197.0A very entertaining show overall. Momo vs Utami was great and the pair showed that you don't need multiple finisher kickouts to get a crowd invested in a match. The main event and three way tag matches were also a lot of fun, however Hazuki vs Dust would have benefited greatly from more time. Elsewhere, even though the broken bottom rope didn't affect the quality of the wrestling, it didn't help the show's presentation, although that was more the fault of the company that ran the same building earlier in the day.
2106.04.2019laldila8.0Had to leave before the main event but this was a fun show. The opening tag matches were good showcases, especially the three way tag which had some fun innovative pin spots. The big reason to watch is Momo vs Utami which got a standing ovation and lived up to the hype. Seeing them wrestle live made me an Utami fan and it's clear why Momo is the ace right now. She carries herself like a star.
