Other events such as the introduction of TBS title, Darby's promo, Punk calling out Garcia for Rampage and Deebs heel turn greatly enhanced the quality of the show. Malakai's short cameo was a pleasure to watch and I liked the Cody/Arn stuff too. Page's return and subsequent victory however has to be the main highlight and so it deserves a 10 as finally the longest story narrative of the company is about to conclude however there is still much more to witness and experience so really excited for whatever is to come. Tighten your seatblets. |

| 26 | 10.11.2021 | Dkex | 8.0 | Die Show beginnt mit einem starken Opener, so macht das richtig Spaß. Super Elite als Sieger macht absolut Sinn, aber auch die Unterlegenen sahen sehr gut aus. Dann folgt ne typische Mox Promo, immer das Selbe, aber trotzdem gut. Dann hat CM Punk wie jede Woche im Ring was zu sagen, und wie jede Woche macht er das stark, ich hab keine Probleme damit, das AEW das melkt, auch wenn es mir persönlich ein kleines bisschen zu viel Crowdpleasing ist. Das Videosegment mit Cody und Arn Anderson war weird, aber irgendwie gar nicht mal so schlecht. Die Stardust Anspielung von Arn war großartig, so nebenbei sie auch war. Ein gutes Hype Video von Bobby Fish leitet das TNT Title Match gegen Sammy Guevara ein. Das war jetzt nicht besonders spektakulär, aber trotzdem noch eine ganz gute erste Titelverteidigung des Champions. Bobby Fish und AEW passt absolut für mich. Das Aftermath mit dem American Top Team war richtig gut und baut die Fehde zwischen ATT und dem Inner Circle ganz gut auf. Dan Lambert wieder mit einer klasse Leistung am Mikro. Ein "Rap" von the Acclaimed kündigen das Tag Team Title Match gegen die Lucha Brothers bei Rampage an, naja, kann man so machen. Tony Khan enthüllt den TBS Title, ein zweiter Damentitel ist wirklich wichtig und hilft hoffentlich dem Aufstieg der Damen Division. Das Interview mit Darby Allin hat gepasst. Sein Match gegen Comoroto war dann kurz und knackig und ganz ordentlich für einen Filler. Dark Order sind wieder eine Einheit fürs Erste, das ist auch irgendwie ganz gut so. Danach darf Dante Martin eine kleine In Ring Promo halten, und das macht er auch gar nicht mal so schlecht, nur scheint Malakai Black das anders zu sehen und greift ein. Gleich im Anschluss spricht der FTW Champion, und der ist dann noch noch ein paar Klassen besser am Mikro und so wird die Fehde mit Brian Cage einigermaßen vernünftig weiter geführt. Per Video melden ein paar Damen schon mal Ansprüche an den TBS Title an, ganz nett gemacht. Dann folgt ein gutes Damenmatch zwischen Shida und Serena Deeb, die mal wieder gezeigt hat, dass sie wrestlerisch vl. sogar die beste Dame im Roster ist. Außerdem war das irgendwie ganz cool, dass sie Shida hier nicht ihren 50. Sieg gegeben haben. Aftermath etabliert Deeb als Heel und passt daher perfekt zum Match. Backstage wird Darby Allin von MJF und Konsorten ordentlich verprügelt, kann man für den Fehdenaufbau so machen. Leo Rush gibt eine kleine Videopromo, und ich habe keine Ahnung was ich davon halten soll, mal sehen was das wird. Britt Baker "herzwerwärmend" wie immer, gibt ihre Meinung zum TBS-Title ab. sehr schön. Zum Abschluss kommt ein starker Main Event, in dem jeder glänzen durfte. Der Hangman war natürlich der Joker und hat selbstverständlich auch gewonnen. Was will man mehr' In der Summe war das eine sehr gute Show, die richtig Spaß gemacht hat. "Nur" 8 Punkte gibt es von mir, weil es dieses mal abseits des Rings ein paar Dinge gab, die bei mir nicht so gezündet haben. |

Einen Unfassbar starken Opener bringt man hier zum Beginn der "Anniversary" Ausgabe Dynamite's. Das hier die "Super Elite" sich den Sieg holt hätte man sich aber durchaus denken können. Um ehrlich zusein ist es noch etwas komisch Bryan Danielson im AEW Ring zusehen, daran muss man sich auch wirklich erstmal gewöhnen, genauso ist es auch bei Adam Cole der für mich definitiv einfach ein NXT OG ist (****1/2). Sammy Guevera vs. Bobby Fish um den TNT Championship war ein Gutes Match und definitiv der Grundstein dafür, dass Bobby Fish auch "All Elite" sein wird (***1/2). Darby Allin vs. Nick Comoroto diente natürlich wieder zum Aufbau Allin's, was gut funktionierte und Allin geht definitiv Over. Serena Deep vs. Hikaru Shida dann ein sehr gutes Match und ich habe 100% gedacht das sich Hikaru Shida hier durchsetzen wird und ihren 50. Sieg bei AEW einpacken wird. Das wird bestimmt nicht das letzte Match der beiden gewesen sein und man wird wahrscheinlich, daraus jetzt eine kleine Fehde bauen (***1/2). Der Main Event war dann natürlich ein Fantastisches Leiter Match, obwohl ich sagen muss das ich mich mit diesem "Casino Ladder Match" Style nicht so identifizieren kann und dann doch lieber ein "Normales" 7 Man Ladder Match gesehen hätte. Aber um Hangman Page als Joker zu bringen war es natürlich ein gelungenes Match (****1/2). Insgesamt wiedermal eine Hammer Dynamite Episode. All Elite Wrestling bringt von Woche zu Woche Hammer geile Show's, die einfach nur Spaß machen. |
| 35 | 16.10.2021 | Sandmann | 9.0 | Dynamite wieder mit einer starken Ausgabe. Man wird als Wrestlingfan einfach so verwöhnt im Moment. Mein MOTN war der Opener. Ja trotz des Botches mit der Powerbomb. So etwas kann passieren. War ja auch niemand in Gefahr man hat einfach das Timing vermasselt. Ansonsten war das ein gewohnt starkes Atomicos Match mit den üblichen vielen Spots. Danielson und Cole fügen sich da auch nahtlos ein und so gab es viele schnelle Action. Mir gefällt so etwas einfach gut. Der vierfache BTE Trigger war dann auch ein sehr passendes Finish dafür. Tolles Match für mich. Ging danach aber auch gut weiter. Guevara hatte seine erste Titelverteidiung gegen Neuverpflichtung Bobby Fish. Bei Fish weiß man auch was man bekommt. Guter Wrestler der weiß was er zu machen hat. Auch hier ein gutes Match und eine gute erste Prüfung für den neuen TNT Champion. Allin gegen Comoroto war in Ordnung, nicht mehr nicht weniger. Allin natürlich eine Nummer zu groß aber wenn Nick mal von der Factory wegkommt steckt in dem auch noch ne Menge Potenzial glaube ich. Shida kann ihren 50. Sieg einfahren und alle Zeichen sprechen für sie. Dann gibt es ein tolles Match mit Serena Deeb und diese kann sich am Ende durchsetzen. Auch hier wieder ein mehr als gutes Match mit einem überraschenden Ausgang. Großartig gemacht und ich bin gespannt was das für Shida bedeutet. Der Main Event bring dann die lang erwartete Rückkehr von Hangman. Alle Bedenken das er nicht mehr so beliebt sein könnte erledigten sich dann bei den ersten Klängen seines Themes. Die Halle rastet aus. Ansonsten war das auch ein tolles Ladder Match. Die anderen 6 haben sich in ihren Fehden gut verstrickt. Es gab viele Spots wie von Andrade und Page gegen PAC. Der Sieg von Page natürlich absolute richtig und vollkommen verdient. Geniales Comeback. |

Das Allin Match musste nicht sein, sollte aber vor allem Allin wieder featuren. Das Women's Match hat mich positiv überrascht, wobei diese zwei Damen es im Ring einfach drauf haben, echt starkes Match. Der Main Event dann mein MOTN, echt starke Action, Zeit verging wie im Flug. Der Hangman Return war auch richtig gut gemacht. Außerhalb des Rings: Starke Vignette von Anderson/Cody und starkes Segment mit Dante Martin und Black. |

Das einzige was mir überhaupt nicht gefallen hat war Allin vs. Comoroto. Das kann man so nicht booken. Nichts gegen Allin, aber der Hype um ihn beginnt mich langsam zu nerven. Das ist einfach lächerlich und unglaubwürdig, wenn der kleine Dreirad Zombie in Strumpfhosen einen Hüne mit 1, 90 und fast doppelt soviel Gewicht in vier Minuten abfertigt. Wenn sich Comoroto nicht freiwillig bzw auf Anweisung hingelegt hätte, würde er dem kleinen Mann die Flügel wie einer Fliege rausreißen. Ich finde das kann man so nicht präsentieren! |

Promo von Punk ebenfalls gut, knackig mit dem ganz klaren Ziel das Match gegen Garcia aufzubauen. Mit Serena Deeb vs. Hikaru Shida gibt es ein weiteres echt starkes Match, Deeb ist generell ziemlich underrated und fliegt etwas unter dem Radar, wobei sie richtig gut ist. Der Main Event ist dann einfach großartig, als Match sowieso schon stark und alle Beteiligten bringen sich halb um. Dazu kommt aber eben auch die tolle Stimmung und natürlich das Comeback von Hangman Page zu einem riesigen Pop. Großartig. |

Punk's promo was good, although a little aimless at times, and the follow-up to the instant-classic Arn Anderson segment from last week was pretty decent. Guevara-Fish was also good - definitely well-wrestled, and everything Fish did looked very legit, even if this wasn't always the most captivating affair. The Top Team beatdown and subsequent Inner Circle run-in was all good fun, especially due to the great crowd reactions. Allin's interview with JR was pretty great, and went someway to undoing the awkwardness of last week's segment. His following match with Comoroto was nothing special, but Comoroto looks like a beast and Sting beating up QT got a pop from me. The segments between Black/Martin and Cage/Starks were both very generic, but the former worked much better because it was at least somewhat unexpected. Deeb-Shida had a great ending sequence but it wasn't as good as I hoped - I definitely think these two are capable of putting on a stronger match together, even if what we got here became pretty awesome by the end. The backstage Pinnacle beatdown was, once again, fun but fairly generic. In a lot of ways, the ladder match wasn't actually that great - some of the competitors struggled to make their presence felt, Archer was booked to look absolutely moronic at one point, and aside from a couple of notable exceptions, nothing TOO crazy went down in terms of spots. However, the surprise entrant and eventual winner was just such a great moment that it overshadows the match's (relative) weaknesses, plus we got that really cool spot with OC essentially using Archer as a climbing frame. A fun show that kept up the energy and pace throughout, but it was a few touches away from being a total winner of an event. |

Hangman Page also got his own 'Stone Cold' pop from the crowd upon his return which was an incredible moment. ----We also got to see CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Malakai Black, Andrade el Idolo, Serena Deeb, FTR, Adam Cole, Ricky Starks, Brian Cage and Sting among others who signed into AEW well after its formation also getting some screen time. -----Currently the roster is stacked with talent but the shows are spread out well enough to make sure everyone gets a chance to shine which is one of the best parts of AEW and what better way to demonstrate how far they have come than their 2nd Anniversary show. |

Really great opener followed by another mercifully brief CM Punk promo. To be clear Punk is always enjoyable on the mic but his little "are you getting sick of me yet? " line he keeps doing is starting to be a little too on the nose, simply because these in-ring promos are all starting to blend together, similar to the first couple months after Sting showed up. Awkward vignette with Arn and Cody, but it did leave me intrigued if nothing else. Sammy vs. Fish was pretty decent, and as much as I love Dan Lambert on the stick I'm not a fan of his MMA goons getting matches. Granted AEW has never tried it before but has this type of MMA invasion angle ever really worked out that well? The TBS Championship is a HUGE mistake on the part of AEW in my opinion. They barely know what to do with one women's championship, and now they want to add a second one? The only logical conclusion I can come to is they're setting up some kind of Dynamite/Rampage brand split for 2022, because another women's singles belt is the absolute last thing the company needs at this time. Give us a trios title already TK, you coward. Typical Darby Allin promo followed by a typical Darby Allin vs. Much Larger Wrestler match followed by typical Sting getting his shit in followed later on by a typical Darby Allin Gets Murdered By Heels Backstage segment. Setup promos for Black/Martin and Cage/Starks where what they were, I dunno. Shida and Deeb have a pretty great match that subverted the expectation that Shida was getting her 50th win, and heel Serena Deeb could lead to some really great things in the future. Fun car crash main event that told a good story, and the prodigal son Hangman Page making his return was awesome. Overall a super enjoyable show with minimal fluff (can Max Caster just fuck off already? ) that went by like a breeze. |
