[5.0] "Cena and JBL had a good promo, and the Battle Royal had solid moments, but the show fell apart with bad booking, a weak main event setup, and the awful Angle/Sharmell storyline dragging it down."
[5.0] "This show had a really good first hour, highlighted by the tag title match, but a really bad second hour, "highlighted" by Kurt Angle choosing to wrestle Sharmell next week. Not John Cena, the WWE Champion, but Sharmell. Terrible."
[4.0] "The ending completely ruins this Smackdown for me. I enjoyed the Battle Royal for what it was and the show built up well to it. I also really enjoyed how it was used to continue the excellent Rey Mysterio vs Eddie feud. Rey and Angle as the last two was great with a lot of good near eliminations before Angle getting the cheap win. The whole thing setting up Angle choosing to wrestle Sharmell is a complete waste of time and WWE insisting on beating a dead horse with this awful storyline is really obnoxious. The only other match of any real length here was the MNM vs Holly/Hass match which was an okay follow up to the good PPV match they had but the DQ finish was lame. There's also a big moment where Matt Morgan takes out the Big Show with an F5 through an annonce table and this honestly could have been a solid push for him because being the back up to a charismatic guy like Carlito is a pretty good spot normally, but the stuttering gimmick is absolutely killing him. The Cena/JBL segment wrapping up their feud is fine enough, but Cena comes off a bit of a dick with that video package. It's a mixed bag of a show because the storylines are all over the place but the terrible ending knocks it below average for me."
[5.0] "Durchschnittliche Ausgabe von SmackDown. Das Anfangssegment war schlecht. Carlito nimmt für seine Talkshow sich selbst als Gast für seinen Sieg gegenüber Big Show beim PPV. Er lobt natürlich auch Morgan bis Teddy Long verkündet das es eine Winners Choice Battle Royal gibt. Der Opener war in Ordnung. Ähnliches Niveau wie beim PPV bis es durch Nitro zum DQ kam. Schönes und finales Segment zwischen Cena und JBL die ihre Fehde beenden. Cena hatte ein Video für JBL bereit in dem er etliche Male I Quit sagt. Carlito vs Big Show war schlecht. Unbedeutendes Match. Nach dem Match befördert Morgan Big Show mit einem F5 durch den Kommentatorentisch. Angle vs Jobber war grauenhaft. Der Main-Event war in Ordnung. Mysterio war zunächst nicht am Match beteiligt weil Eddie ihn angriff. Schönes Finale mit Angle und Mysterio bis Angle siegt und verkündet das er Sharmell nächste Woche als Match haben möchte."
