PCO bekommt ein etwas over the top showcase-Match und die Damen versuchen irgendwie ein rundes Match auf die Beine zu stellen. Es bleibt leider beim Versuch. Das Aftermath zieht bei mir auch nicht mehr. Runde X für Jay und Jonathan. Bei dem Hintergrund erwarte ich da am Anfang schon mehr Gift als austauschbares Puckfechten um die bessere Technik. Als sie eine Schippe drauflegen, wird es ordentlich, so ist der Aufbau aber nichts für mich. Am Ende wird es dann ja dennoch ordentlich. Das Bar Room Brawl Tag Team Match ist okay und passt eher in den Main Event einer ROH TV-Ausgabe. Der Four Way um den TV-Title lockt mich dann auch nicht hinter dem Ofen her. Auch das Co-Main Event gesellt sich in die Kategorie der unnötig langen Matches. Das ist phasenweise wirklich langatmig und wird nicht in allen Sequenzen von gutem Wrestling kompensiert. Das Aftermath hat man gefühlt schon x-fach gesehen. ROH im Hamsterrad des Todes. Das überraschende Ende weckt dann doch etwas auf und das Ding ist dann sogar das MOTN. Kein Banger, aber immerhin etwas. |

The main event was perhaps Taven's best singles match in ROH to date and resulted in a more dynamic babyface, international champion being crowned who may be able to help revive some interest in the company. We also had a good Tag Title bout, another strong chapter in the Gresham vs. Lethal rivalry which may be a breakout victory for the former, a fun hardcore match in Bouncers vs. Young/Marseglia and two solid bouts in the contendership tournament (a good grappling match in Scurll vs. Cabana, and a pretty fun brawl in PCO vs. King). |

Die Tournament-Matches waren beide ganz nett als Opener, und wurden durch das Turnier auch aufgewertet. Über die Sieger kann man sich streiten, doch wir werden sehen, worauf es hinausläuft. Angelina Love vs Kelly Klein ist das Lowlight. Angelina Love diesen Titel zu geben halte ich für eine Fehlentscheidung, sie mag die beste aus dem Stable sein, aber ich brauch sie gar nicht mehr und gut ist sie immer noch nicht wirklich. Jonatham Grasham vs Jay Lethal war sehr gut. Langes und technisch starkes Match und Lethal konnte wieder jemanden over bringen, ich frage mich nur, was seine Zukunft bringt. Das Tag Team Match danach war recht langatmig, hatte ein paar nette Spots, aber hat mich kaum interessiert. Das TV Titlematch war ziemlich stark, zwar kurz, aber sehr schnell. Die Wrestler waren fast alle gut, doch am Ende kann Shane Taylor verteidigen. Die Briscoes verteidigen danach gegen Lifeblood. Das Match war ziemlich stark, Bandido und Haskins konnten auch sehr gut mit den Briscoes mitgehen und einige Spots rausholen. Die Tag Team Division bleibt jedoch nach wie vor Briscoes gegen unglaubwürdige Challenger. Rush vs Matt Taven war neben Lethal vs Grasham das MOTN. Das wohl beste Match aus dem Run von Taven und Rush war eine sehr gute Wahl als Challenger. Er konnte mehr rausholen als jeder vor ihm und am Ende als Underdog tatsächlich gewinnen. Hat mich sehr gefreut und er hat unfassbar viel Potential. So viele geile Matchansetzungen kann man nun bringen und hat endlich wieder einen guten ROH Champion. |

Probably Matt Taven's best singles match of his career and they solidified Rush as a star. The rest of the matches were decent to good, although having two no-dq matches on one show is a bit much. Also the TV title match seemed like it had its time cut short. |

Das war sicher kein überragendes aber ein für mich sogar mehr als anständiges Match mit einem interessanten Clash of Characters und besonders auch einer guten Schlussphase. Mich hat das ziemlich gut unterhalten und es war sogar mein MOTN. Das zweite Match war da schon schwächer muss man sagen. Es war jetzt auch nicht schlecht aber für mich nicht mehr als okay. Ich finde Kenny King einfach nicht mehr interessant. Bei dem Women of Honor Match muss ich leider sagen, das es mal wieder das schwächste Match des Abends war, aber wenigstens ist Love eine bessere Titelträgerin als Klein. Allerdings: Inzwischen flasht es mich auch nicht mehr, wenn Maria Manic zum wiederholten Male alles zerstört. Ich mag sie aber es muss jetzt mit ihr mehr gemacht werden. Gresham gegen Lethal war wrestlerisch das beste Match des Abends und im späteren Verlauf fand ich diese Fassette die Gresham gezeigt hat auch durchaus spannend aber gerade am Anfang fand ich es etwas zäh, dennoch mehr als anständig. Die Bouncers gegen Young und Marseglia hat halt vor Allem von der Story gelebt. Taylor gegen Lee, Gordon und Williams war ein anständiges Match aber auch eins , in dem alle in meinen Augen irgendwie nur so ihren - bei diesen Wrestlern immer noch vorzeigbaren - Standard gezeigt haben. Ähnliches gilt auch für die Briscoes gegen Lifeblood und ebenfalls ähnliches gilt dann auch für das ME. Auch das war anständig, besonders von der Intensität her mit dem Outsidebrawling, aber nichts was mich vom Stuhl gerissen hat und das ist auch das Fazit des PPVs für mich: Zwei Matches, die etwas rausstechen, zwei die etwas abfallen, der Rest ist anständig und insgesamt macht das eine anständige, konstante Veranstaltung ohne große Highlights oder Lowlights ( da ich auch das Women´s Title Match nicht gut aber nicht komplett schlecht fand wie schon andere). Daher halte ich 6 Punkte für angemessen. |

PCO vs. King wasn't much of note (**3/4). The women's match was bad, as per usual for both Women of Honor matches and Angelina Love matches (*1/2). Gresham vs. Lethal was great, with just the right amount of them switching it up between technical wrestling and brawling, all while telling a really good story (****1/4). The Barroom Brawl wasn't all that good for a hardcore match these days, but I give it a full half-star extra just for including the never-before-seen human dartboard spot, which was incredibly creative and extreme (***3/4). The TV Title match was really good for the relatively short amount of time it was given, and Taylor retaining surprised me because I was leaning towards thinking the Taylor vs. ROH story was legit; I suppose this confirmed it's a work (***3/4). The tag team title match was about as good as you'd expect it to be, although it was predictable because at no point in that 20+ minutes did I ever think Lifeblood had a chance at winning (****). The main event was unquestionably the best Matt Taven match I've ever seen, and it's a great thing that they FINALLY took the title off of him, ending a title reign which never should have started in the first place. Great match and even better booking to have Taven finally lose (****1/4). |

Gresham/Lethal was a fun technical match and my personal highlight of the show. The hardcore tag match was your normal modern hardcore match. TV title 4-way was solid but ended quite abruptly. Briscoes/Lifeblood was solid. Just not a very interesting show overall and then you cap it off with yet another boring Taven match. Weak. |
