[3.0] "Not a good event. Really the only thing worth going out of your way to watch was the Mankind vs Rock match, which I thought was great, but nothing else really stands out as that good. The main event could be worth the watch sheerly for the storyline of the people involved, but it admittedly got very rough to watch towards the end."

[3.0] "Not as great as I was waiting, a show where it used mostly the figure of The Rock to sell, and the matches weren't that good. 3/10"

[4.0] "A very disappointing show overall. I thought the Rock vs Mankind match was good, where it continued a very strong storyline progression with Foley being the company's ultimate underdog where the McMahon's end up screwing him out of the title on a technicality despite the fact he won the match. Despite the bad stip I enjoyed the Jarrett v Goldust match as well as that had a fun dusty finish at the end. The biggest problem for me was the WWE Tag Title match and the Austin vs Undertaker buried alive matches was both matches I was looking forward to seeing but neither of those matches delivered and the main event in particular was surprisingly dull and the stipulation felt very restrictive. The only other decent match on the undercard was the Owen vs Blackman match and that ended up with a bad finish."

[2.0] "What a terrible show. Vince Russo was booking, of course, so it stands to reason that it would be bad. Back in the day, i thought he was genius, but now I've grown up and no longer find his potty humor funny anymore. Barely any watchable matches on this one. Mankind/Rock was the peak of the show and even it was just above average."

[4.0] "There's really not much to say. The only thing that made this feel like a PPV was the length of the matches. Mostly misses, I enjoyed Owen Hart v Blackman more than I expected and Mankind and Rocky had a damn solid showing in the ring. The "main event" was a huge letdown, even with low expectations because of the buried alive stipulation."

[3.0] "Rock & Mankind's match aside, another tedious PPV from this era. Liked the idea of the buried alive match but in practice it was dreadful."

"Bad show. There is only one good match : The Rock vs Mankind, but the ending literally kills the match as Vince decides to reverse the decision, so the Rock is still champion. The show lasts 2 hours and it seemed like an eternity because the matches were so soporific.Worse still, the person with the crane can't put the clay in the coffin, which leaves a long awkward moment where we can no longer hear anything in the arena because no one knows if the match is won or not. The decision is given after a long time. The end of the match is very weird. A show to forgot."

[4.0] "Rock Bottom continues the trend of mostly mediocre PPV from the Federation. Opening tag is more about characters than anything in ring. D'lo and Venis can wor nicely, Godfather and Henry not as much. Very short and very uninteresting (3/10) ICP's theme song is the best part out of the Oddities and the HeadBangers aren't great on their own, so the second tag match is an even weaker version of the first (1/10) Blackman and Hart have a pretty decent bout with Owen wrestling circles around his opponent, and everyone on the card. The crowd is pretty into it as well but its ruined by the walkout countout finish (5/10) Brood/JOB Squad is a filler tag, a few cool flying moves by Scorpio and the Brood rightfully got the win. Very skippable (4/10) Goldust and Jarret is pretty average and the crowd really popped for HBK reversing the decision at the end. I really don't like the whole thing being built around a striptease though (5/10) Outlaws/Corporation is pretty good at times, but should've really been shorter. Gunn and Shamrock have some bursts of energy but its not enough to fill 17 minutes (5/10) Rock/Mankind is an overbooked brawl building on the story from Survivor Series. Its not an all time classic but its certainly the most fun from this card. Even if the McMahon making the title change null does make the bout quite pointless (6/10) Austin/Taker is mostly walking and brawling for 20 minutes which is not very fun. Austin is still cool to see and has a few moments of action, but its not enough to really make this main event interesting to me (4/10)"

[2.0] "I'm so tired of Attitude Era as this has nothing to do with wrestling. They finally did it and didn't have even one good match on the show, average at best. Almost everybody's all gimmick, so the matches are barely five minutes long, and if somebody can actually work they choose to have a boring ass brawl. Head Bangers vs Oddities is pure trash and The Brood vs JOB Squad is awful, while other bouts aren't anything special either - barely watchable. Owen decides to leave a grudge match for whatever reason, Dustin once again is involved in some bollocks made for the virgin crowd and the finish to the WWF Championship buries almost all of the submission finishes that happened before. And the main event is just tiresome and sad at this point, as I know that Austin can have a fantastic wrestling match kept in the ring, but he decides to have boring and repeatable brawls all around the arena, this time with a long, botched finish. Thank God that it's the last PPV of 1998, but they don't give me hope for a better 1999."

[3.0] "The penultimate In Your House was a bit on the weak side. The Rock-Mankind match, while not among the strongest of their rivalry, was nonetheless a good watch, and there are also decent matches in Blackman-Owen and Goldust-Jarrett. The main event was primarily a basic brawl around the grave set, and went off the rails for the finish - there just wasn't enough room or visibility to get that backhoe in there effectively. Not much else to recommend on this one."

[4.0] "December 98 wasn't a good month for WWFWCW PPV's. A lot of sleepy mediocrity going on at the tail end of the year."

[4.0] "Another mediocre Attitude/Russo era PPV where the stories matter more than the wrestling, and the stories are shit. It's impossible to care because most matches have dumb endings, reversed endings, no endings at all, or any combination of the above. If the quality of the wrestling had been much better it might have worked, but even the best wrestlers here aren't given the time or opportunity to show what they can do."

[4.0] "I think there's 2 solid matches in Blackman vs Owen and Goldust vs Jarrett but unfortunately those don't even have finishes, I thought Mankind vs Rock was a good match and easily the match of the night. Everything else on the show was unfortunately just there, not good at all. Shame the main event was so bad considering I really liked the way they had built up towards the match"

[1.0] "8 Matches, and only one was "good". Rock vs Mankind is decent, but they had better matches in 1999. The Main event was pure trash."

[3.0] "No me ha gustado nada este In Your House, la decepción del Main Event tendrá mucha importancia en la nota, obviamente. Solo un combate realmente destacable, el The Rock vs Mankind y ni siquiera va a ser el mejor que han tenido."

[6.0] "This is not a very good PPV but it's better that last IYH's. Undercard isn't something special but it features some solid matches. Only bad thing is HeadBangers vs The Oddities. Rock vs Mankind is good, best match on the show. Buried alive match isn't bad but it's little disappointing because action is very slow. Howewer I liked the ending, it is surprising and it protect The Undertaker."

[4.0] "It's not a great pay per view to close a weird 1998 with many great shows but not so great ppv events. The roster is not at its peak, the Oddities are unbearable to watch. Owen Hart did not win neither with the canadian crowd, and Goldust vs Jarrett is disappointing. The last three matches are better then the first half, but the main event does not deliver, it's a boring Buried Alive match where most of time is spent with wrestlers doing nothing. Mankind vs The Rock is good but not something that really gives this event a boost."

[0.0] "Rock Bottom indeed. Another Attitude Era flop. The event starts with the disgusting Godfather/Val Venis (with hos) team and never really crawls out of the gutter. All of this is dated trash, and even Mankind can't save it. No decent human being will want to watch this trash. :D"

[6.0] "Despite a dead crowd for a lot of the PPV only one match was really bad. It is not quite **** quality as no match really got a strong four stars but enough was done to make it really entertaining. I enjoyed every match but one. Debra stripping made the JJ one worthy. Oh, I forgot the Outlaws stinker and while that was way too long the final two matches out weight that crapfest. Honestly the Outlaws need to just retire. Nothing spectacular but I was really entertained and that is all that matters."
