| 6 | 20.06.2024 | Ruthless Attitude | 9.0 | Excellent return to form episode of Raw after the previous two filler shows. It is very good with the storyline progression where Undertaker and Kane become heels in the opening segment where it's revealed they made a deal to protect Vince McMahon from Austin when he essentially changed the upcoming Triple Threat match to a handicap match. Rock and Mankind also began to turn face where Rock gets a great reaction from the crowd when he wrestles Kane and Mankind surprisingly comes to his aid when Taker gets involved and nails Kane with the sledgehammer. That match was decent and the Undertaker v Mankind and the Austin v Shamrock matches was also solid and played to that ongoing storyline with Rock, Shamrock and Mankind all positioned well to move up the card. Elsewhere there was a good angle where JJ shows more ruthlessness since his character change and nails Road Dogg in the throat with the guitar. DX have ongoing rivalries with JJ and The Nation and this also ends up running thoughout the show with a memorable match where Chyna finally wrestles Mark Henry with X-Pac as her tag partner, which got some big reactions and ends with a shocking moment where Henry wins with the power slam. This was an excellent show in terms of storytelling minus the uncomfortable Val Venis/Terri video and an above average one in terms of match quality as well, minus Sable vs Jacqueline. |

Diesen reibt er dem Eiskalten gleich zu Beginn unter die Nase, was zu verständlichem Unmut führt. Immerhin hat er zwei monströse Schlichter dabei, die das für ihn regeln. Und McMahon setzt Austin noch Shamrock vor die Nase, was sich ja am Vorabend bei Heat bereits abzeichnete. Jarrett hat mit seinen Haaren bezahlt, da kann er den Tag-Spezialisten Billy schnell besiegen. Es folgt ein ganz wichtiges Match in der Karriere von Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, denn während der Partie gegen Kane erfährt er ausserordentlich positive Face-Pops, was gemeinsam mit Mankinds RAW-Auftritt ordentlich Feuer unters Dach bekommt. Dustin Runnels entsagt seinem Goldust-Gimmick und aller Attitude-Werte, was Val Venis aufgreift, um seinen neuesten Film 'The Preacher's Wife' vorzustellen. Es scheint, als habe der Porno-Wannabe keine Lehren aus der Chop-Chop Bedrohung rund um Kai En Tai gezogen. Episch ist die erste männliche Outdoor-Vignette rund um Regals WWF-Ankunft. A Man's Man. Ein anderer Mann agiert etwas unglücklich, nämlich Mark Henry, der durch eine Unachtsamkeit die Niederlage des Nuggets verschuldet. Auch bei Foley & Taker geht es ordentlich rund, man findet aber keinen Sieger. Edge und Gangrel trennen sich auch ohne Resultat, finden aber wohl irgendwie Gefallen aneinander, denn die Gründung der Brood kommt ja bald. Die für heute letzte Runde zwischen DX und Nation geht an Mark Henry. Puh, das Abendkleidmatch ist schon übel, aber was da im Publikum sitzt, ist noch viel übler. Und dann gibt es auch im Main-Event keinen Sieger, was dann mindestens einmal zu viel ist. Insgesamt ist das aber eine deutliche Steigerung zu den beiden samstäglichen RAW-Episoden der Vorwochen. |

Interessant, dass beim ersten Match auf die gemeinsame Vergangenheit von Jarrett und dem Road Dogg eingegangen wird. Gutes Match zwischen Kane und Rock. Zwischen Venis und Dustin Runnels gibt's ein nettes Segment, das passt. Einspieler zu Steven Regal, dem Man's Man. Das ist genial. Ordentliches Match zwischen Triple H und Owen. Gutes Hardcore-Match dann zwischen dem Taker und Mankind, das von Rocky unterbrochen wird. Gangrel gegen Edge ging so, beide Charaktere gefallen mir aber. Das Handicap-Match war stimmungsvoll und hatte ein klasse Finish. Evening Gown Match ist halt ein Evening Gown Match. Starker Main Event, der dann die Ausgabe stark zu Ende bringt. Alles war hier auf die eine andere Art interessant, trotzdem gebe ich keine volle Punktzahl, da neben der Promo von McMahon zu Beginn noch etwas herausragendes fehlt. |
