[3.0] "This was probably a fun event in it's time, and on free TV as it really does feel like a PPV with all of the matches and superstars on it. Vince and friends do a good job talking about the wrestlemania title match tourney and the bret/owen match for most of the show, which I guess was the point here as this show seemed to be more of an infomercial than an episode of an episodic show... However, if at the time you viewed this as the go-home "raw" for the biggest PPV of the year, this underdelivered like a mf. Why the fuck is tatanka in the main event against yokozuna? Someone who has barely been relevant for the last few months (tatanka) all of a sudden gets a main event spot vs yoko? I don't get it. Bret vs Crush sorta makes sense so that matchup wasn't offensive to me... and. I like that owen cost Bret the victory. This is about the only match here that will feed into Wrestlemania. The razor match was dumb/pointless and the quebecers fought two nobodies in an era where there are quite a few decent-to-good tag teams that they could have had a good match with and not a squash. The Lex Luger match was ok. Best part of the show was a very intense Macho Man backstage interview with Vince. I really felt him as if he was seriously pissed. Show ends with a fine rap video by M.O.M.which was another infomercial-esque piece of art. With all of this said, I haven't watched WM10 ever and I'm looking forward to it, but I really feel that I could have skipped this entire 2 hours and missed literally nothing important. In fact I feel like I just wasted my time writing this."

[6.0] "This era is full of nostalgia for me so I liked it more than the matches deserved. The major down side is the future Raven both being very bad at commentary and having a sound board to make it even worse."

[2.0] "This show was excruciatingly slow. The squash matches were weak and uninteresting. The competitive matches were passable and some may appeal to fans of the era (particularly Bret's match - although I stress that this would have only a very niche appeal in 2023), but within context of the full show they were all so slow paced that watching everything consecutively felt like a real slog. I really enjoyed Macho Man's promo and thought that was the clear highlight of the show, but outside of that this did absolutely nothing to generate any excitement for WrestleMania, so on that level I believe it's fair to give this show a failing grade."

[2.0] "This was a horrible show. Boring squashes and pointlessly drawn out feature matches involving wrestlers who are just not suited to working for that length of time. I don't know how anyone could be pumped up to buy the PPV after watching this."

[7.0] "This way overdelivered for what was practically a hype special for WrestleMania X. The squashes were fine, there's an awesome Savage's backstage interview, and the three main matches varied from decent to good. - Luger/JDR was a fun opener. Luger's comeback was super hot, and Del Ray was a good foil for him. Luger spanking Cornette with a racket after the match earned this an extra quarter-star. **Ÿ - Bret/Crush was the MOTN. Very strong psychology, and an effective big v. small dynamic. Mostly carried by Bret here, but Crush held his own fairly well too. Hated the finish though, even a DQ would've been way more preferable. ***œ - Yoko/Tatanka, a solid main event. I'm a fan of Yoko, and Tatanka did his usual stuff fine. It's not something that'll thrill you, but it was certainly better than expected. **œ"
