[2.0] "This show was excruciatingly slow. The squash matches were weak and uninteresting. The competitive matches were passable and some may appeal to fans of the era (particularly Bret's match - although I stress that this would have only a very niche appeal in 2023), but within context of the full show they were all so slow paced that watching everything consecutively felt like a real slog. I really enjoyed Macho Man's promo and thought that was the clear highlight of the show, but outside of that this did absolutely nothing to generate any excitement for WrestleMania, so on that level I believe it's fair to give this show a failing grade."

[5.0] "Ganz anständige Hype-Show für Wrestlemania. Luger vs Del Ray, Yokuzana vs Tatanka und vor allem Hart vs Crush waren allesamt sehr ordentlich, der Rest sind Squash-Matches."

[2.0] "This was a horrible show. Boring squashes and pointlessly drawn out feature matches involving wrestlers who are just not suited to working for that length of time. I don't know how anyone could be pumped up to buy the PPV after watching this."

[7.0] "This way overdelivered for what was practically a hype special for WrestleMania X. The squashes were fine, there's an awesome Savage's backstage interview, and the three main matches varied from decent to good. - Luger/JDR was a fun opener. Luger's comeback was super hot, and Del Ray was a good foil for him. Luger spanking Cornette with a racket after the match earned this an extra quarter-star. **Ÿ - Bret/Crush was the MOTN. Very strong psychology, and an effective big v. small dynamic. Mostly carried by Bret here, but Crush held his own fairly well too. Hated the finish though, even a DQ would've been way more preferable. ***œ - Yoko/Tatanka, a solid main event. I'm a fan of Yoko, and Tatanka did his usual stuff fine. It's not something that'll thrill you, but it was certainly better than expected. **œ"

[5.0] "Der finale Mania-Hype passiert mit einem Special Event abseits der sonstigen Weekly Shows. Polo kommentiert mit Vince und Luger darf showcasen und Yokozuna möchte das zum Abschluss nochmal aus der Nähe beobachten. Ähnlich wenig Sorgen mit seinem Gegner haben auch Bam Bam Bigelow und Razor, ehe Owen bei Polo im Ring noch ein paar Worte an seinen Bruder richtet und weiterhin Bret als ängstlichen Mann darstellt. Ordentliche Promo. Earthquake war auch noch dabei und Cornette redet sich an der Seite des Champs wieder wund. Bret antwortet seinem Bruder eher sich Crush im Ring stellt. Ordentliche Match-Länge, passable Action, Finish viel zu easy, aber ein interessanter Fingerzeig. The Quebecers geben sich auch erneut die Ehre, aber auch das ist nicht sonderlich aufrefgend. Macho Man haucht Vinnie ins Mikro und macht das schlicht weg sackstark. Look, Intenstität, Schauspiel – so macht Savage richtig Spaß. Bis dahin eine der besten Interviews der WWF 1994. Im Main Event wartet dann schon ein besonders Duell, aber Tatankas Streak ist vorbei und so ist es hier auch nicht der Rede wert. Match hat nichts Besonderes an sich. Ganz akzeptable Go Home-Show, etwas runder als so eine RAW-Ausgabe, aber insgesamt kein großer Wurf."

[4.0] "Irgendwie etwas maue Show obwohl drei auf dem Papier durchaus gute Ansetzungen dabei waren: Luger gegen del Ray war okay, richtig cool dagegen Bret Hart gegen Crush und Yokozuna gegen Tatanka war auch absolut in Ordnung. Ansonsten nur Squash Matches und noch nicht einmal besonders gute, insbesondere Razor Ramon kam hier etwas arg faul und gelangweilt rüber. Irgendwie fehlte hier die Stimmung, die Atmosphäre, der "Vibe" bei der Show. Stan Lane als Kommentator war solider langweiliger Standard aber Johnny Polo ging mir hier mit seiner pseudo-witzigen Art und den eingespielten Samples total auf die Nerven, ich dachte als Kommentator wäre der damals besser gewesen."
