Almost every match was at least 3 stars... but then we have the mediocre, poorly booked main event that went over 30 minutes and we get the worst match of the night. Brock and AJ should've main evented in hindsight. And I think the main event is the reason that this show is rated lower than I did. Because its the thing that ends the show, and you always hate when a show ends poorly. But I thought this was an overall great show."

The opener was solid as was the tag match but everything else seemed pretty average. The main event had solid in ring action but was a pretty strange experience during the second half. 3 star show."

Overall WWE Survivor Series (2017) is a good show despite it's low points."

Corbin vs The Miz sucked but Corbin won - **. The Usos vs The Bar was really good, as both are great tag teams - ***3/4 Charlotte and Bliss had a good match, but the finish was dull for me - ***1/4. Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles had an amazing match, damn it was teased a squash on AJ but we got an awesome match, AJ with his offense and comebacks while Brock was selling everything with perfection. Simply my pick for MOTN - ****1/2. The main event was a disater but I was entertained with some encounters, that was the best part of the match - **"

[7.0] "A pretty solid show overall, and while the main event ruined it for some I was happy enough with the undercard to let it slide. Opener was a sort-of dream match, though I don't really rate the New Day as a great in-ring unit. Match was very fun though, and a great way to kick off the main show (****1/4). Women's match had many atrocious moments, chiefly the Alicia Fox/Naomi "chain wrestling" sequence. But it was reasonably entertaining, and it helped having extremely low expectations going in (**3/4). The next match was a professional wrestling match contested between Baron Corbin and The Miz (*1/2). The Usos/Bar match wasn't as wildly entertaining bell-to-bell as the opener, but it built well and the last few minutes were great. The finish was also fantastic (****). The next match was also a professional wrestling match, this time contested between Charlotte and Alexa Bliss (**). Lesnar/AJ was raucously good fun, and AJ's best match in the company to date. Lesnar breaking out of the Calf Killer by repeatedly banging AJ's head on the mat was an easy pick for spot of the night. (****1/2). Main event was a slog, I remembered it being as long as the previous year's match but it's not even close. Not a good sign. Finish was moronic and pointless, but it didn't bother me at all because it's the kind of tripe you always expect from WWE (**1/4)."

[6.0] "Survivor Series was alive. With the current product you can’t really expect more than this. Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins -vs- Big E & Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods [** 3/4], Women's Survivor Series) [** 1/2] Good, but nothing more. Jax and Tamina facing was a natural thing to do, but there wasn’t that many interesting clashes that hasn’t been done to death since the women’s revolution. At least they didn’t fumble with Asuka. Baron Corbin -vs- The Miz [**] It’s a Baron Corbin match. Only real surprise was that it didn’t stink. Miz made sure of that. But there wasn’t exactly the most positive vibe surrounding this one. Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso -vs- Cesaro & Sheamus [** 1/4], Charlotte Flair -vs- Alexa Bliss [* 1/2] The women get just as much time as the men did and doesn’t capitalize. It for the most part become a long bore, a match where little mattered or anything special given. Brock Lesnar -vs- AJ Styles [*** 1/2], RAW vs SMACKDOWN Survivor Series) [*** 1/4] The match had me guessing all the way, but I’m not sure I liked where it was taking me. At least Braun Strowman came out of it looking strong of the current generation, though this was mostly a tribute to the old and safe part-timers, making several of their current guys look weak. Was a good match overall. Only slowed down when it was just the old guys, sort of like an anti-climax. But up-until that point, a strong in-ring showing from their top stars."

[6.0] "The opener was you typical energetic shield match. (****) The women's survivor series match had too much of Alicia Fox and Tamina Snuka in there for my liking but I did enjoy Asuka destroying the SmackDown ladies at the end. (**) I was excepting to hate Corbin/Miz but the match told a good story. (***) Usos/The Bar was a good match but I expected better. (***1/2) Charlotte/Bliss was good, they gave them time to tell a story but it was clear that Bliss isn't used to matches longer than 15 minutes. (***1/4) Lesnar vs. Styles was excellent, one of the best main roster matches for WWE this year. (****1/2) The main event started off fine but went off the rails after the quick eliminations of Roode and Nakamura. Once again it was all about the game. (*1/2) Had the main event delivered this would have been the best main roster show of the year but it didn't and actually dragged the show down."

The first half of the main event was really fun seeing all the dream match-ups. The second half was... a mistake."

There are some strong matches as AJ Styles vs Brock Lesnar and Shield vs New Day, but the main event is my favorite match, the star power is impressive and even if it gets obvious in the final part it's still great. Great pay per view."

[5.0] "If you removed the Main event, i would rate 7 or 8. Unfortunately, because of that, a 5. Opener was very good as expected. Women elimination was sloppy, went too long. Only good thing is asuka winning. Miz/corbin was a bathroom break old divas match. Bar/usos was really good, but the crowd was quiet because both were heel teams. Charlotte/bliss was just there, went too long, sloppy, too. Lesnar/aj was great. Better than i wished and expected. Lesnar's selling was good. AJ looked like million bucks. And that fucking main event was terrible. Old guys dominating young guys was awful. Naka, balor, roode were eliminated which the crowd hated. They were totally dead for the finish. Only good thing was strowman. Another disappointing show from MR after a great takeover show."

[8.0] "Best WWE event of the year. Impressive considering how it was looking when the initial card was announced. New Day/Shield was very good. I felt New Day were actually the superior group here, they've had a great 2017 (***¾ or ****). Women's elimination went better than expected, though the "encounter" between Fox and Naomi was comical crap. Correct finish (***). Corbin/Miz somehow didn't suck, I can't believe it. Still not anything great but it was fine (**½). Bar/Usos delivered about what I expected which is nice. Neat spot with the super Samoan drop (***¾). Bliss/Charlotte was the weakest thing on the card, 15 minutes of uneventful wrestling. It wasn't "bad" per se, but it just had no sparkle or flash (**). Styles/Lesnar was absolutely fantastic and lived up to what I had hoped - but resigned myself to not getting - for. Tremendous performance from both guys, but especially Styles with awesome bumping + selling and an all time great babyface comeback against the beast. It ended at the peak with Lesnar plucking Styles out of the forearm for the F5 (*****). Then the Men's elimination was unfortunately just not a great end for the show, should've been swapped with Styles/Lesnar. The first segment with all the different encounters was really fun, but then it turned into Ruthless Aggression circlejerking with a nonsense swerve ending. Shoutouts to Cena for a textbook example of "pin me, pay me". There was still enough fun in the match for me to enjoy it, but it simply fell apart (***). Overall: a show I never felt dragged outside of Bliss/Charlotte, with one of - if not, my favourite - matches of the year in Styles/Lesnar, some other fun matches and an unfortunate ending. More of a 7. 5 but I'll round up."

[3.0] "One of the worst WWE shows I can recall. Shield vs New Day was too long. New Day haven't been entertaining in a long time, yet they had the majority of match control. Shield didn't impress much either. Some nice spots near the end but very little substance otherwise. **1/2. Women's Survivor Series match was quite bad. Annoying "upset" early eliminations. Fox, Jax, and Tamina looked quite embarrassing. Also stupid having a geek like Natalya tap out Banks. At least Asuka was booked strong, even if her offence was average. **. Corbin vs Miz was a totally nothing match. Very basic heel work on both sides. **. Sheamus & Cesaro vs The Usos should have been great but it was incredibly slow and only picked up quite late. Chemistry and pace improved as the match progressed. **3/4 Bliss vs Flair had some nice character work but awkward wrestling. A few okay spots, but still pretty bad. **1/4. AJ vs Brock was MOTN. It's what you would expect: powerhouse vs speed and intelligence. Nice work from Brock, AJ sold well (though definitely was subdued for far too long), and overall a fun but basic WWE big match spotfest. ***1/4. Men's Survivor Series match was a total joke. HHH, Shane, Angle, and Braun all being pushed? Over Cena, Orton, Nakamura, Balor, Joe, and, even though I don't like him, Roode? This isn't 2000, WWE. Please get your priorities in order and push your talented and actual week-to-week stars. Awful booking and very poor in-ring work. Just a total train-wreck. *3/4."

[6.0] "You could've given the women five minutes off the men's elimination tag and both matches would've been better. The booking for both was baffling and seemed to serve no real purpose. All the wrestlers performed well with what they were given but none of them were given much. Women's match (** 1/2) Men's match (***) Shield/New Day was technically sound but I simply couldn't connect to the story of the match. Other's might feel differently but I thought it never lived up to its potential. (***) Baron Corbin vs. The Miz shocked me. They got given nothing in the build and were working heel vs. heel but they really managed to make it work and make me care. Delivered well above what I was expecting. (***) The Usos and The Bar are two of the most consistently great teams on the planet right now and this was very good but again, it had the potential to be so much more. (*** 1/4) Charlotte and Alexa put on a really solid match but in what was basically the unofficial theme of the show, it didn't quite live up to it's own potential (***) Very easily MOTN was Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles. Genuinely surprising how much offence Brock gave Styles and how much he sold for him. Very enjoyable match and really the only thing on the show worth checking out if you're not looking to watch the whole thing, which I wouldn't recommend. (****)"

[4.0] "Brock v AJ was outstanding and def in the WWE MOTY convo. The two tags were pretty dope as well. The rest was pretty meh bc no one actually cares about the brands or their forced feud due to having a named ppv of historical precedent. This was also sooooooo long. The pre-show and main card was about 6 hours all for what I consider to be 3 great matches with a total of about an hour of bell to bell time. Bad ratio, imo."
DanTalksRasslin wrote on 21.11.2017:
[6.0] "Something of a mixed bag - the Shield-New Day opener was strong overall (though I think New Day came off looking like the better team, even in defeat), Brock vs AJ was one of Brock's better matches in some time, and Charlotte-Alexa and Usos-Bar were good stuff as well. On the other hand, the women's Survivor Series match was kind of a mess, and the men's Survivor Series match was largely designed just to build more McMahon family drama, with all the younger/newer stars - except Braun - that could get the rub from being in the match being booked as afterthoughts (for that matter, even Cena was eliminated rather unceremoniously). The "brand wars" gimmick is something of a dud IMO anyway. Also, five commentators at once is three too many. While this was a great card on paper, this one didn't quite live up to potential but wasn't a total loss either."

Baron Corbin vs The Miz was Fine, I did not expect much from this match. The Usos vs The Bar was awesome, These Teams never disappoint. Charlotte/Bliss was Fine too, they looked good in this match. AJ Styles vs Lesnar is one of the best matches of Brock Lesnar in the past years. (if not the best). AJ Styles lost but did not look Weak, He showed why he is the best in the world. The Main Event was disappointing, The Veterans receiving all the spotlight, that sucks. Very Bad Booking here. This Event was a Solid 7, better than other years but could be better."

I guess the finish to the main event was shocking but I felt it was kinda expected considering main roster Triple H's everchanging relationships with everyone. Not as good as Takeover and pretty skippable for the most part (outside Lesnar vs. Styles) but this could have been a hell of a lot worse."

The Bar vs. The Usos también destacaron, me gustó mucho ésta.
