[9.0] "Ep 5 was a pretty entertaining episode, the highlight for me has to be Terry Funk's absolutely hilarious promo at his Double Cross Ranch, where he talks to his horse's backside while pretending it's Eddie Gilbert. The whole thing is ridiculous in the best possible way, especially when the horse lets one rip and Funk finishes with the brilliant line, "Your voice has changed but your breath is still the same." You've also got the debut of Paul E. Dangerously, which is a pretty significant moment looking back. Overall, a fun episode with some memorable moments, and I'd give it a 9/10 based on Terrys promo, Tigra's legs and the continuation of all the angles. The booking has been tight!"
[3.0] "Still waiting on anything really good to happen in early ECW. The highlight, if you can call it that, is the Muraco/Gilbert tag match but it's nothing to make any effort to see. Well, Heyman showed up so that's something, as a performer he's miles ahead of almost everyone else in the company at this point."
[3.0] "The Terry Funk horse promo is so trashy but iconic as well. A promo which only a handful of people can do. It doesn't get much better after the recent weeks, Sandman can't beat sh*t as he won another match without a clean finish. The rest of the show was one unclean finish after another while only the Rockin' Rebel can beat his opponent clean as a whistle. Because of the Tigra power I guess!"
[3.0] "Terry Funk's vignette is hilarious (they did Clyde the horse dirty by comparing him to Eddie Gilbert), but the other promos to start the show were once again garbage. Hunter Q Robbins might not have even been speaking English in his ringside promo. The Super Destroyers are the worst part of ECW weekly TV at this point. Sal Bellomo's promo with his hair in his face was entertaining in only the comedic sense, and I'm not sure it was meant to be received that way. I can't wait until Stevie Wonderful is off commentary - Jay Sulli is alright, but I genuinely can't tell if Stevie is just trying to get heat or if he is really that insufferable. Bellomo losing via count-out was unsatisfying, The main event was good, but short. Still no really good TV yet."
[3.0] "This episode is a waste of time. The only reason to rewatch it is the vignette with Terry Funk, and maybe the first Paul Heyman's appearance in ECW."
[5.0] "I thought this was the best episode of ECW Hardcore TV so far, but that's really not saying too much. This is still only alright/middle of the road. This is a key episode as this has Paul E. Dangerously (Paul Heyman's) first on-screen appearance in ECW; aligning himself with Hot Stuff International. We get an incredible taped segment with Terry Funk at Double Cross Ranch where he talks to Eddie Gilbert; which is actually a Horses ass. None of the matches on this card are special, but most are watchable enough. Sandman vs Sal Bellomo for the ECW title was my least favourite part of the show. I can't wait until ECW is better; at least you can kinda see roots being planted though."
[7.0] "I had a lot of fun watching this episode. Starts off with an all timer promo video from Terry Funk where he's talking to "Eddie Gilbert" (it's Clyde the horse's butt). 5 solid matches that help build some drama in the rivalries they have going on and the ECW debut of Paul E Dangerously. Scary moment in the main event as Hotbody goes for a superplex. Could've been disastrous if the 2 guys weren't trained properly. All together though, fun show and makes me excited to watch the next one."
[4.0] "On this edition of Hardcore TV, Paul E Dangerously makes his debut with a run-in for Hotstuff International. Plus a rematch for the tag titles."
Das World Title Match endet wieder einmal enttäuschend.
[4.0] "Other than the comical Terry Funk promo which was low brow funny but nonetheless the funniest thing that ECW has aired thus far, this was not particularly good stuff."
Was? 2/10. What?
