[3.0] "Still waiting on anything really good to happen in early ECW. The highlight, if you can call it that, is the Muraco/Gilbert tag match but it's nothing to make any effort to see. Well, Heyman showed up so that's something, as a performer he's miles ahead of almost everyone else in the company at this point."

[3.0] "Terry Funk's vignette is hilarious (they did Clyde the horse dirty by comparing him to Eddie Gilbert), but the other promos to start the show were once again garbage. Hunter Q Robbins might not have even been speaking English in his ringside promo. The Super Destroyers are the worst part of ECW weekly TV at this point. Sal Bellomo's promo with his hair in his face was entertaining in only the comedic sense, and I'm not sure it was meant to be received that way. I can't wait until Stevie Wonderful is off commentary - Jay Sulli is alright, but I genuinely can't tell if Stevie is just trying to get heat or if he is really that insufferable. Bellomo losing via count-out was unsatisfying, The main event was good, but short. Still no really good TV yet."

[5.0] "I thought this was the best episode of ECW Hardcore TV so far, but that's really not saying too much. This is still only alright/middle of the road. This is a key episode as this has Paul E. Dangerously (Paul Heyman's) first on-screen appearance in ECW; aligning himself with Hot Stuff International. We get an incredible taped segment with Terry Funk at Double Cross Ranch where he talks to Eddie Gilbert; which is actually a Horses ass. None of the matches on this card are special, but most are watchable enough. Sandman vs Sal Bellomo for the ECW title was my least favourite part of the show. I can't wait until ECW is better; at least you can kinda see roots being planted though."

[7.0] "I had a lot of fun watching this episode. Starts off with an all timer promo video from Terry Funk where he's talking to "Eddie Gilbert" (it's Clyde the horse's butt). 5 solid matches that help build some drama in the rivalries they have going on and the ECW debut of Paul E Dangerously. Scary moment in the main event as Hotbody goes for a superplex. Could've been disastrous if the 2 guys weren't trained properly. All together though, fun show and makes me excited to watch the next one."
