The opener was fun with Tyler Breeze going against Jushin Thunder Liger of all people. The tag team match is also very fun with the involvement of Blue Pants Girl to counteract Alexa Bliss. Apollo Crews and Tye Dillinger have a nice little match and Samoa Joe and Baron Corbin have a alright match. The last two matches are what make this show so special especially Bayley Vs Sasha Banks. This match is so great and the moment at the end with the four horsewomen celebrating in the ring is just the cherry on top. Kevin Owens and Finn Balor had a good main event that saw a bunch of cool spots, but I think Bayley and Sasha definitely should of went on last. This show for me marks where I think NXT really figured it out and its a preview of what great things will come out of future NXT Takeovers. |

Jushin Thunder Liger being here is awesome and his match with Breeze had some incredibly funny moments in it along with some great in ring work. The tag match was one of the better takeover matches and I thought the two teams had a great final sequence. Apollo Crews had a great takeover debut and I am in awe of his in ring ability. Samoa Joe and Corbin had a better match than I was expecting them to have and I can say this is Corbin's best match I have seen from his early days, which is a big credit to Joe. Banks and Bayley is a certified classic that changed women's wrestling forever and might be the best takeover match I have seen so far. And the main event was great as well with a great stip attached that was well used while having great work aside from it. Overall this is the best takeover they have put on up to this point and will be a tough one to beat as I keep going through all of them. |

| 68 | 07.08.2022 | DarkPrince | 10.0 | Ein Geschichtsträchtiger Takeover Event von der WWE hier. Das erste mal wagte sich NXT aus ihrem Schneckenhaus raus und damit in die großen hallen hinein. Da ist das Barclays Center in New York genau der richtige Standort gewesen am Summerslam Wochenende 2015. Opener ein sehr schönes Match. Hat mich gewundert das Liger hier den Sieg holt, obwohl es ihm eigentlich danach garnichts mehr gebracht hat, da es sein einzigster auftritt bei der WWE gewesen ist und auch dabei geblieben ist (***1/2). Mit einem Titelwechsel im nächsten Match hatte Ich dann absolut nicht gerechnet. Aber es war ein absoluter "Feel Good Moment" in der Halle (***1/4). Apollo Crews feiert dann ein Gelungenes Debut gegen Ein neues Gimmick von Tye Dillinger, was aufjedenfall Geschichte bei NXT geschrieben hat in der Zukunft. Baron Corbin vs. Samoa Joe war Solide. Samoa Joe holt sich hier den Sieg und das war auch vollkommen zu erwarten, auch wenn Corbin bei NXT so stark aufgebaut wurde. Dann kommt für mich das beste Women's Championship Match was Ich jemals unter dem WWE Banner gesehen habe! Sasha Banks und Bayley arbeiten unfassbar gut miteinander und hauen ein absolutes Gänsehaut Match auf die Matte! Der Titelwechsel war Emotionen Pur und vollekanne gut durchgezogen (*****). Der Main Event haut dann nochmal zum Abschluss auch nochmal richtig einen raus und macht den erste großen NXT Pay Per View zu etwas ganz besonderem (****1/2). Man kann diesem Event einfach nur 10 Punkte geben. NXT hat abgeliefert und das auch bei einer größeren Crowd. Einfach NXT Geschichte die hier geschrieben wurde. |

The tag title match was another fun match that had its wrestling part done well as well as the lighthearted comedy working out well for the Brooklyn faithful. Crews had a fine debut against Tye which could've been even better than what happened. Joe vs. Corbin was a very good physical battle that had great action flowing so good throughout. Then happened a game changing contest between Banks & Bayley which was a tremendous presentation of their story with exceptional action that was missed in years before this. Both set the foundation for women's wrestling to become a great phenomenon for WWE. The main event was a stellar all-around brawl that had a different handling of a ladder match working great, but their Japanese spectacle was far better in terms of action. However, the story told by the main event was great enough to cement Bálor as the next cover star of NXT while Owens moved on to bigger things after a fantastic run in the brand. This TakeOver was another classic and the first of many to break out in front of a packed arena and steal the night with exceptional action throughout. 8.5 out of 10 points! |

Zwar kurz aber unglaublich schnell und beide waren unheimlich gut drauf. Schade das Apollo nicht länger bei NXT geblieben ist.. hätte ihn gerne als NXT Champion gesehen. Match war aufjedenfall gut (***3/4). Samoa Joe vs. Corbin war Schwach. Women's Title Match Hammer! Ein echter Good feel moment als Bayley gewann (****1/2). Main Event war ein richtig gutes Ladder Match! Finn Balor lebt einfach NXT! (****3/4). Fazit: Ein super Takeover Event! |

The main event was also a good match, but they didn't do anything that we haven't seen before. Overall a good event with an incredible crowd, but Sasha vs Bayley is the only thing here that is must watch. |

Fang ich mal mit den Matches an:Liger vs Breeze war ein guter opener und eines der besseren Midcard Matches *** 1/4. Die Vaudvillians holen sich unter Riesen reaktionen die Tag Team Titel von Blake und Murphy ***. Samoa Joe kann das grauen beenden/vorerst stoppen indem er Corbin in einem ordentlichen Match besiegt ** 1/2. Uhaa feiert sein Debüt als Apollo Crews. Er zeigt wie athletisch er für seine Masse ist. Nur sein Gimmick wirkt etwas komisch für ihn **.... Bayley vs banks war mal wieder eine absolute Granate! **** 3/4 von mir! Nach dem Match noch der großartige Moment:Die Revolution des Frauenwrestlings Banks, Lynch, Charlotte und Bayley umarmen sich und zeigen "ihre" Four Horsewoman Pose! Großartig! Dann der Main Event und mein einziger Kritikpunkt:Die Crowd war nach Bayley vs Banks nicht mehr ganz so da wie vorher... Desshalb hätte eher das Damen Match in den Main Event gesollt. Trotzdem war Balor vs Owens stark. ****. Insgesamt würde ich so 9, 5/10 verteilen da ich nur einen Kleineren Kritikpunkt hatte. Ansonsten war das hier einer der besten Events in diesem Jahr, mit dem zweitbesten Takeover Special nach R-Evolution und es gab eines der besten Women Matches in WWE Geschichte! |

Natürlich ist Liger nicht mehr der jüngste aber man findet hier einen guten Mix aus Comedyelementen und den Trademark Aktionen und zudem einer guten Heel und Faceverteilung gepaart mit dem tollen Moment des Siegers von Liger. Die Vaudevillains gegen Blake und Murphy auf ähnlichem Niveau. Gutes, ineinander greifendes Tag Team Wrestling und tolle Reaktionen besonders auf Leva Bates (ich vermisse sie in der WWE). Apollo Crews gegen Tye Dillinger ist dann das "schwächste Match" des Abends, was aber mehr mit der Länge zu tun hat weil das was sie gezeigt haben war schnell und gut. War halt ein ziemlicher Sprint im Debüt von Crews. Samoa Joe gegen Corbin ist zwar nichts großartiges hat aber nach dem Corbin oben auf ist ein tolles Ende mit dem urplötzlichen Kokina Clutch. Dann kommt DAS Match des Abends. Das ist Flair gegen Steamboat bei den Frauen. Großartige Heel und Facedynamik, gute Anfangsphase wo Sasha Bayley provoziert und diese auch richtig Chracterdevelopment zeigt, tolle Konter dann danach und die Armbearbeitung von Sasha und auch die Verzweiflung kommt gut zum Vorschein, dass sie Bayley nicht klein kriegt. Auch der Konter aus dem Banks Statement ist klasse und dann geht es in eine tolle Schlussphase die mit einem super Finishing Stretch endet. Ein Meilenstein des Frauenwrestlings und auch wie man danach wieder sieht, dass es auch doch halt nur alles Wettbewerb ist. Dieser Moment mit den Horsewomen ist Gänsehaut pur. Das ME ist ein unkonventionelles Leitermatch aber deswegen nicht schlecht weil es mal eine Aufbauphase hat draußen wo man KOs Strategie sieht und danach vor Allem wie sadistisch er ist wenn er Balor auf die Leiter haut. Ein psychologisches statt einem Spotleiternmatch, was man auch an dem sieht, was dem Finish voraus geht. Insgesamt hat man ein Weltklassematch, in echt gutes, zwei anständige und zwei okaye aber vor Allem perfektes Booking, was das Ganze für mich noch auf 9 Punkt |
