"Old Yeller? Are you kidding me?"

[Ric Flair wird vom Publikum mit Ovationen begrüßt.]

Ric Flair: "Thank you so much! I'm glad that somewhere in the world people respect Ric Flair, because... because for the last week people have come from all over, every airport, every city, they've said, 'God, that was great, you beat Vince McMahon!' Well the problem is, I don't KNOW if I beat Vince McMahon. Sure I've won the match, but Shawn Michaels... after me repeatedly asking him NOT to come out, save me, interfere with my life, do anything... All I wanted Shawn Michaels to do was be, what he is, Mr. WrestleMania, and my opponent... at WrestleMania. You guys, hey, he's the Showstopper! But as a result of last week I feel like he has no confidence in me, no faith in me... and as a result of that I'm losing respect for Shawn Michaels. And wherever the failure, obviously, a failure to communicate, so I would like Shawn Michaels, oh, Mr. WrestleMania, Mr. Showstopper, to come out here right now so we can talk about this, man to man, eye to eye!"

[Shawn Michaels kommt zum Ring.]

Shawn Michaels: "First of all, Ric, I'm sorry to hear that you've lost respect for me. More importantly, though, I'm sorry to hear that you think that I've lost faith in you. You need to understand somethin'... that could never happen! I didn't come out last week to do anything! Ric Flair: "SHUDDUP!!! [Flair zieht sich sein Jacket aus.] YOU hate hearing this, THEY hate hearing it, but it's because of guys like you that I don't need anybody, anymore to tell me who I am! I'm feelin' pretty good about myself and I wanna show you somethin'! [Flair holt aus einer Tasche einen Titelgürtel hervor.] Everybody know what this is? THIS is the NWA World Heavyweight championship! I won it in 1981! THIS is what you grew up admiring... [Flair hält sich den Titel an die Hüfte.] wantin' to know what made a machine like me go... This is the guy that wrestled Dusty Rhodes... Harley Race... the Funks... the Briscos... RICKY STEAMBOAT, STING, BRUISER BRODY, the LIST GOES ON! And if YOU were 20 years older, YOU would have been in the ring with me back then! I don't care, what year it is. I don't give a damn, where it is. It's 2008. I've picked you! Shawn Michaels: "Let me assure you of one thing: I'm gonna give you everything you need! I've got no choice, I'm gonna give you the Showstopper! Come Sunday, Naitch, you're gonna step into the ring with Mr. WrestleMania!"

Ric Flair: [schüttelt zufrieden mit Michaels die Hände] "I would expect nothing less from you, my friend, the Showstopper, Mr. WrestleMania. THAT's what I want! Thank you."

[Michaels dreht sich um, während Flair sich aufmacht, den Ring zu verlassen. Doch da hält Michaels ihn zurück.]

Shawn Michaels: "You know, eh, before I go... just so there's no doubt in your mind that you're gonna get everything you need... and more... I wanna remind you of a little story: Remember the story of Old Yeller? They loved that dog, but when it was time, they had to take that dog out back and finish him... Come Sunday, the Showstopper is gonna take YOU, Old Yeller, behind the woodshed... and put you out of your misery..."

[Flair geht mit ernstem Gesicht zwei Schritte zurück, reißt sich das Hemd auf, springt auf sein Jacket, tritt es aus dem Ring, packt sich das Mikrofon und ...]

Ric Flair: "OLD YELLER? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? [Flair ohrfeigt Michaels hart, so dass diesem sein Cowboyhut runterfällt.] I've got your Old Yeller! ... I SAID I've got your Old Yeller! [Flair ohrfeigt Michaels erneut.] WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT THAT? COME ON! WHY DON'T YOU TAKE OLD YELLER BEHIND THE WOODSHED RIGHT NOW?! COME ON! COME ON! COME ON! COME ON!!! COME ON, I'M BEGGIN YA'! DO IT NOW!"

Shawn Michaels: "Like I said... I'm putting you out of your misery!"

[Michaels verlässt den Ring, während Flair wutentbrannt zurückbleibt.]

- "Old Yeller" ist ein Disney-Film aus dem Jahr 1957, den quasi jeder Amerikaner kennt. Der Film handelt von der Freundschaft eines Jungens zu einem Hund, der der Familie zuläuft und sie fortan gegen diverse Gefahren verteidigt. Gegen Ende des Films erschießt der Junge den Hund, da dieser durch einen Biss eines Wolfs die Tollwut bekommen hat.
