[10.0] "Having a prime run of your career at over 53 years is insane. People often forget how good of a promo R-Truth is when he's just given the space and the freedom, and this character dissection is one of the best promos of his career, without a doubt."
[8.0] "Now that's a good thing. Killings cuts off his braids and symbolically gets rid of a gimmick that was successful but now has no prospects. That's definitely worth remembering. But it remains to be seen whether it will really help him and how seriously the WWE will take his reinstatement."
[10.0] "I fucking loved it! Love R Truth always have always will I rated him a 10 yes a fucking 10 sue me. Now as Ron Killings he gets to be even greater so now R Truth Ron Killings is a 15/10. 7* Promo"
[9.0] "i thought he might have lost the fans when he said he was ron killings and he was like killing r truth type shi but people still cheered #wewanttruth"
[8.0] "Truth was fired and then brought back by the company after an online backlash. This promo aimed to establish him as a more serious character going forward."
[8.0] "Look first and foremost I need to come clean.. like many for the past few years Truth has kinda just been there, I never really felt any kind of way about him, sure he was funny and the 24/7 Title scene gave him a bit of shine but all in all there wasnt much. For the most part I never felt annoyed or something to see him tho, up until the Wrestlemania match where him and Miz won the belts. It then got to a point where I felt like each section including him was just a reach to get a few laughs and had no real common sense , so for the last few months he has not been my favorite. His John Cena segments with Cena recently has been fun, but also it is in a Cena run which I believe wholeheartedly has been the worst title run ever, and the last few months been the worst WWE stretch ever atleast for me. The release was also kinda obvious from the start that it was a work, cause again common sense people. But this... THIS got me reinvested in this man, look idc what or how we do this but Ron Killings needs to hold a world championship belt before he calls it quits. Whether its 5 seconds I dont care just get it done. This made me remember that the last 10 years of Truth is not his whole career. The guy use to be the NWA world champ, he use to be a actual good heel at a time, and even had the major run with Miz as heels. Was he ever the best or biggest ? No, but he has spent 20+ years entertaining us week in week out, and although his recent antics hasnt been my personal favorite I do know it has made alot of people laugh and got a lot of people love wrestling again. Lets end this iconic career off with a iconic monent. (Dont F it up like with Cenas last run please HHH I beg)."
[10.0] "HE IS RON KILLINGS! HE IS THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH! NOW PUT SOME RESPECT ON HIS NAME! Pure Nostalgic vibes dude. I remember his TNA Days. Fr, he's come a long way from being K-Kwik to R Truth to Ron Killings again. He literally cut his hair with his own hands on live TV, that's enough to make him transform into a beast."
[9.0] "Good promo. Was not prepared for him to cut his hair live on television. Super serious promo from Killings and showing he can be more than just the comedy Truth character."
[10.0] "The very best promo for years and years to come. So relatable, so raw, so real. Simply the truth has set me free. Ron Killing finally ready to show the WWE universe and management that he matters. Thunderous angle into this promo!"
[10.0] ""The Truth Has Set Me Free" has never meant more to me than ever before. I still can't believe what I watched. I've been a fan of R-Truth for a long time--not just for the laughs, or the way he can elevate gimmicks more than anyone else in the business, but because I've always known the guy had something deeper in him. You don't last in this business for decades without that fire deep inside your heart that pushes you through the trials and tribulations of wrestling. I always knew R-Truth had a pipebomb with a long fuse just waiting to go, but I still wasn't ready for this promo. No rapping, no jokes, no Little Jimmy, and no R-Truth. This was Ron Killings baring his soul on live TV with a level of power and authenticity that we haven't seen in WWE since the pipebomb promo. I felt every damn word that came out of his mouth, and when he cut off his dreadlocks, I was at a complete loss for words. No fanfare, no big video package littered with effects, no corporate rebrand, just a powerful way to showcase the symbolic death of the R-Truth with nothing more than passion and a pair of scissors. The wildest part to me is that WWE was ready to let one of the most versatile, long-tenured, and underutilized performers they've ever had walk. If the fans hadn't demanded him back, we would have never seen this promo for the ages. I don't care what comes next. I don't care what feud he's in or what title he holds, or if he even holds a title in the first place. Ron Killings just delivered one of the greatest promos of all time. Not just in WWE history, but in wrestling history, and I'll stand by that while I bear witness to the final chapter of his career. "I am Ron Killings. I am the Truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth." Powerful stuff. 10/10."
[10.0] "Excellent promo. After the backlash of R-Truth being released, he's been brought back and instead of simply continuing on with his comedy act we get serious Ron Killings instead. Cutting his dreads off was a cool moment to really hammer home the change. This is absolutely the right move and the promo did a great job in building up the intrigue for what comes next. 10/10"
[9.0] "One of the better promos WWE's had this year, and it all culminated from a shoot. Killings contract was not to be renewed by TKO and after much backlash from both the locker room and the fans, R-Truth returned in glorious fashion and getting a serious run. What WWE does with this remains to be seen, and with the bad creative they've had this year overall, I'm reserving my enthusiasm until further notice. Personally I want Killings to take the belt off Cena, but I also wanted Kofi to have a better end to his championship -- WWE has a habit of squandering well deserved talent / opportunities. This said, the promo itself is good, and Killings delivered a truly shocking and surreal performance. Hopefully WWE puts some respect on his name."
[8.0] "R-Truth was going to leave based on soulless financial decisions, but with the backlash not only from fans but from the locker room too, and Nick Khan no less getting involved to bring him back, Truth now has some leeway. And because of that, we move from comedy guy R-Truth to serious Ron "The Truth" Killings, last seen many years ago in TNA. This was a very good transition, only ruined by some morons in the crowd doing the WHAT? chant to the promo. Killings did very well to shut those down, better than other roster members in recent months. Let's hope the change is done justice down the line, and Killings can go on his own terms."
[10.0] "R-Truth's masterclass promo, and career defining moment. The death of Ron Killing playing R-Truth, and the beginning Ron The Truth Killings in WWE. Killings is gonna be killing it, and he has the palm of the audience. When you defy reality and create something real in a world of fiction. Killings exist, it's bae on real feelings, real events, and real heart, real heart the soul of wrestling and why I love the business so much."
[10.0] "What's not to love here? R-Truth is now Ron Killings and he's there because of the people and because he deserves it after all these years of consistently being great. He was clearly emotional and delivered this with honesty straight from the heart. Simply great."
