CM Punk: "Careful, careful. Some people might get mad when you chant my name. [Crowd boos] Not to call attention to people that don't matter, but somebody that might get mad [points to a fan in the crowd] is the brave guy in the New York jersey over here. [Crowd boos] It takes a lot of balls to show up in Boston wearing a New York anything.

But hey, getting ahead of myself, is it great to be alive on a Monday night in Boston, or what? [Crowd cheers] I gotta be honest with you, Boston... [lowers hand to the ground] I'm feeling a little low... I'm in a bit of a bad mood. It's because, two weeks ago, in this ring, face-to-face, I told Seth Rollins after he... told me that he spends a lot of time thinking about me. I told him that I don't think about him at all. And over the course of the last two weeks, while every waking hour wasn't spent thinking about Seth Rollins, my mind wanders back to him from time to time. And it's put me in a bad mood, I'm mad because Seth is right.

Whatever this thing is between me and him, as much as I wanted to sidestep it, put it in the past, maybe completely avoid it. It's only a matter of time before we lock up here in this ring. [Crowd cheers and applauses] I'm also upset because something that I very much enjoy doing, which is coming to this ring, holding a microphone in my hand and talking to my people, [crowd cheers] I feel is always going to be overshadowed by the fact that every time I do it, I KNOW at some point... That stupid music is gonna hit. [Fans begin to sing Seth's theme song]

That's the one, yeah. [mockingly walks like Rollins] And he's gonna come tiptoeing out here in clogs like the Purple Pie Man from Porcupine Peak, [mockingly laughs like Rollins] dressed like Liberace, and NO! For all the sensitive people, calling him Liberace is not an insult. happen to think Liberace is cool as hell. [Mild cheers] The point I'm trying to make, Seth, if you want to interrupt me before I make it. Is that just because you wear Elton John sunglasses, it does not make you Elton John. And just because you grew up idolizing me, putting on a pair of wrestling boots, does not make you CM Punk! [Crowd cheers and chants CM Punk]

Seth came out here and with a straight face, he told the world that I ghosted him. It's true, but I'm not here to litigate the past, alright? I'm looking forward to the future and little brother Seth, I would love to say that that's not you, but it seems like me and you are on a bit of a collision course. But he wants to paint this picture that I'm bad. I'll go ahead and say, [raises hand] I'm the bad guy. Boston... Show of hands, you ever been a bad guy in your life? [Mild cheers]

Come on, Boston bad boys, Beantown, let's go. I'm the bad guy in this situation, 100%, and that's because there is no such thing... As a bad student, just bad teachers, okay? Seth Rollins is CM Punk's failure. So that 16-year-old kid who came to CM Punk and said, [imitates Seth's voice] 'Please train me, I'm absolutely ready to do it all over again. I'm ready to try again.' So Seth, if you want to interrupt me, I am willing to give you the wrestling lesson that you asked for years ago for free. [Mild cheers and applauses, crowd starts 'CM Punk' chants until Punk cuts them off.]

Hold on. Hold on. We're going to get there, ladies and gentlemen. Seth Rollins, you want to give me shoes to fill, I will gladly fill them. The bad news for you is the last guy who did that was Drew McIntyre. [Crowd boos] So ask yourself the question, Seth, are you tougher than Drew McIntyre? [Crowd says 'No!'] You might think you are, Boston knows that you're not. [Crowd cheers] And one thing I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, there's not enough staples in the world to put you back together when I'm done with you. That doesn't piss him off enough to come up and interrupt me, I know something that will. It's the same thing that has pissed him off for the seven years [see Note 1] I was gone from this company, and that's hearing, during his scheduled television time, the world chant my name." [Crowd chants for Punk]

Seth Rollins: "CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! Come on, Boston! [Crowd cheers] CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! CM Punk! [Crowd chants 'CM Punk!']

Life is about perspective and I thought maybe if I came out here, I saw you the way these people see you, it might give me a new perspective. It might make me feel differently about who you are, so if you don't mind, let me take a good, hard look here, let me see. I... Nah, nah, even from way out here, you're still an asshole."

CM Punk: "While I'm overjoyed you didn't come out here with that stupid song of yours, for the first time in your life, you're actually coming from the right spot because you belong in the audience with the rest of the CM Punk fans."

Seth Rollins: "Oooh, you think that embarrasses me? It doesn't embarrass me to be out here with these people. [Crowd cheers] I'm a fan. I always will be. I love this place. When you abandon this place and you hope that it would die without you, I put it on my back. I made it stronger than it's ever been! [Crowd cheers] If anyone should be embarrassed, it's you. Because this [does scare quotes with his hands] 'fan,' he's got more WrestleMania main events than you ever will. That's a FACT, Phil!"

[CM Punk exits the ring and goes into the crowd, brawling with Rollins. Adam Pearce uses security, referees and extras to try to separate both men, but they continue to brawl in and out of the ring. Security finally separates Punk and Rollins, ending the segment.]

[3.0] ""Not to call attention to people who don't matter"...proceeds to call attention to people who don't matter. Punk doesn't have the same magic in his promos. He's trying so hard to be a wholesome, golly gee whiz, white meat babyface and he's not that at all. He and Rollins have had the same interactions for over a year and none of it has been very good. Certainly nowhere near what the Drew/Punk feud was."

I like Seth Rollins' position of being the Protector of WWE and not letting outsiders get their way and trying to shield -- no pun, Shield the WWE with only WWE talent involved. Just very fun to watch in general and the brawl afterwards was pretty fun to watch. [***1/2]"

[6.0] "Seriously, this might be one of the worst CM Punk promos ever. His delivery and charisma are still great, but the content and the execution of it was really mid. People are just going to buy any shit Punk threws out of his mouth just because he's CM Punk and he's being nice and he is being positive at backstage and all of that crap, but he just certified right here how much of a two-face diva he really is. He is so easily triggered when Rollins throws at him that he has been a WrestleMania main eventer and Punk not and the only thing Punk can really use against Seth is insulting him for his looks and his entrance, which were so bad as insults as he first mocks Rollins for dressing like Liberace and Elton John then he praises the OG's. Were you trying to ridicule him or what did you want to do exactly? And just because he wears extravagant clothes it means he wants to be Elton John or just because he asked you for training 20 years ago he wants to be you? Everything that Rollins said stands true at least and it has solid base. Punk spent 10 years shitting on WWE, he went to the competition and kept shitting on them, and when he got in trouble with The Elite he came back because the money was right like nothing happened. Punk's only back-up here is having the crowd support because of who he is, where Rollins' back-up is being absolutely right in everything he said, but because Seth is complaining about Punk and Punk just tries to mind his business Rollins is the crybaby villain."

[3.0] "I've slept on this and even though it's not as bad as I originally rated, it really isn't a good promo either. There has been something seriously off about CM Punk for the past two years and whilst he can, on occasion, turn the clock back (like in the match at Bad Blood), those occurrences are the exception rather than the rule. His promos have been, for the most part, noticeably soulless, and if this was ten years ago, we'd be looking at the "purple pie man" line the exact same way we remember Roman's infamous "suffering succotash" promo. Punk also going for wink-and-nudge homophobia for cheap heat against Rollins for the second time doesn't work for me either, and by the way the Punk chants sounded particularly piped in, this promo didn't work for the audience either."

[7.0] "Solid promo for the most part, although I thought Rollins was much better than Punk here. Punk spent too much time pandering to the local Boston crowd, and the Liberace reference came off as awkward, especially since it's unlikely younger viewers will have any idea who Liberace was. Punk wanted the Liberace comparison to be a dig at Rollins, but he also didn't want to insult Liberace, so it failed. The only way a comparison insult works is if you insult both the original person and the other person you're comparing him to (if you don't insult both parties when making a comparison, then it just comes across as a complement.) Rollins got the better of Punk by keeping it truthful, especially the great boast about having more WrestleMania main events."

Mainly highlighting how Punk is just tired of Seth's antics by trashing his song, making fun of his cackling and dancing, then proceeding to get in a neverending brawl with him. Seth did a lot of crowd work here and mentioned Punk never got any WM main events prior in his career, then the brawl proceeds. Great start."
